Abstract

In elementary school, attentiveness is an important language skill. On the other hand, thefact shows that the lesson of attentiveness still low ang students' interest is poor. Thus, theuse of proper media can be considered in order to make lessons' goal of attentive skill isapproachable. Based on the above reason, this research purposes to improve attentiveskill in myth in fourth grade students in SDN Sambirejo 1 Madiun by using audio media,that is myth recording. This research uses Classroom Action Research consist of twocycles. The result research shows the improvement on dispute the characters and thescene. Lessons' process is in these aspects: attention, seriousness, and activeness areimprove up to 11,8%. Result of improvement of attentive skill in myth in aspectcharacters and scene in the first cycle and second cycle are improve in average of 17,3%and7,4%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruhmetode Brainstorming terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar pada pembelajaran tematik integratif bagi peserta didik kelas IV MIN Demangan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu, dengan desain pretest-posttest with nonequivalent groups . Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV MIN Demangan, Kota Madiun,  Propinsi Jawa Timur semester II tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Pengambilan sampel dengan cara acak diambil dua kelas yang masing masing terdiri dari kelompok eksperimen  berjumlah 33peserta didik dan kelompok kontrol berjumlah 33 peserta didik. Pretest dan Posttest digunakan untuk mengukur motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen dihitung dengan program SPSS 17.00 for windows. Analisis data menggunakan statistik uji independent t untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran yang meliputi metode brainstorming  pada kelas eksperimen dan metode konvensional pada kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan metode brainstorming  terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik MIN Demangan pada sub  tema kebersamaan dalam keberagaman. Terbukti dari hasil uji-t dengan signifikansi 0,000 pada kelompok eksperimen, artinya metode brainstorming  mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar sub tema kebersamaan dalam keberagaman peserta MIN Demangan.

Abstract

Abstract : Advertising is a medium of communication between the owner of the product with prospective customers. With a compelling ad, prospective buyers will be lured into buying the products offered. As the process of persuasive communication, advertising has differences with discourse in general. Ad makers will use the language interesting, concise, easy to understand and influence the reader / listener to buy the product. In addition, the advertising language also must be effective, efficient, and easily remembered by the advertising goals. The purpose is to interpret the study of discourse discourse which is not covered by a specific semantics or syntax. Connection with this analysis is the study of discourse is used to find the cohesion and coherence in an advertisement in a newspaper. Keywords : cohesion, coherence, commercial advertising, kompas Abstrak : Iklan merupakan media komunikasi antara pemilik produk dengan calon konsumennya. Dengan iklan yang menarik, calon pembeli akan terpikat untuk membeli produk yang ditawarkan. Sebagai proses komunikasi yang bersifat persuasif, iklan memiliki perbedaan dengan wacana pada umumnya. Pembuat iklan akan menggunakan bahasa yang menarik, singkat, mudah dipahami, dan memengaruhi pembaca/pendengar untuk membeli produk tersebut. Selain itu, bahasa iklan juga harus bersifat efektif, efisien, dan mudah diingat oleh sasaran iklan tersebut. Tujuan kajian wacana adalah untuk menafsirkan wacana yang tidak terjangkau oleh semantik tertentu ataupun sintaksis. Kaitannya dengan analisis kali ini adalah kajian wacana digunakan untuk menemukan kohesi dan koherensi dalam sebuah iklan dalam surat kabar. Kata Kunci : kohesi, koherensi, iklan niaga, Kompas.

Abstract

Semakin berkembangnya zaman di era revolusi 4.0, guru-guru di sekolah dituntut mampu dalam hal penguasaan kompetensi guru, salah satunya penguasaan dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran. Kurangnya pengetahuan guru-guru di SDN Tanjung, 02 mengenai inovasi media pembelajaran dapat menimbulkan siswa kurang termotivasi dalam pembelajaran, khususnya media pembelajaran 3D. Tujuan diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa penyuluhan media pembelajaran berbentuk pop-up book adalah guru mendapatkan pengetahuan atau wawasan mengenai pentingnya media pembelajaran pop-up book dalam menunjang pembelajaran di kelas, guru mampu membuat media pop-up book, guru mampu membuat media pop-up book  yang menarik dan kreatif. Hasil pelatihan ini adalah guru-guru SDN Tanjung 02 memberikan respons yang positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan yang telah dilakukan. Para guru juga dapat mengembangkan kreativitas mereka selama pembuatan media pop-up book. Dengan demikian, literasi dasar siswa dalam membaca dan menulis akan meningkat pula.

Abstract

Meaning relations are semantic connections or connections between words, phrases, or concepts that appear in a text. The aim of this research is to describe the types of meaning relaxation in the novel Harga a Confidence by Tere Liye and to integrate it into semantic learning in higher education. This research uses a descriptive method. The data for this research are quotations from sentences in the novel Harga a Confidence by Tere Liye which contain meaning relationships, documentation and interviews. The research procedure uses six steps. The data analysis technique uses six analysis steps. The conclusions of this research are 1) Tere Liye's novel Harga a Confidence found the types of meaning relations of epizeuksis repetition, synonyms, antonyms, equivalence (equivalence of words), and collocations (comparison of words), and 2) forms of integration in semantic learning in higher education can be carried out through 9 steps, namely (1) Identifying the Concept of Meaning Relations, (2) Preparing Learning Modules, (3) Linking it to Semantic Concepts in General, (4) Introduction to Case Studies, (5) Active Learning, (6) Text Analysis Tasks, (7) Reflective Discussion, (8) Presentation of Results, (9) Evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the postcolonial study of Hommi K. Bhabha's theory, namely mimicry, ambivalence, and stereotypes. Wiji Thukul is a poet and activist. In the New Order era, whose poetry contains criticism of the cruelty of the government at that time. This research uses qualitative methods with interpretive techniques in the form of presenting the form of description depiction. The data used are four poetry titles, namely That Day I Will Whistling, Warning, Suti, Stone Mountain, and Frankly Only. Data analysis techniques use content analysis, where researchers interpret data classified based on the postcolonial approach. The result of this analysis is the existence of social criticism in the form of satire, ridicule, or resentment of poets as indigenous people to the colonizers, which is reflected in the four titles of Wiji Thukul's works. Social criticism contains postcolonial studies and can be categorized as mimikiri, ambivalence, and stereotipe.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kajian postkolonial dari teori Hommi K. Bhabha, yaitu mimikri, ambivalensi, dan stereotip. Wiji Thukul adalah seorang penyair dan aktivis di zaman orde baru, yang karya puisinya berisi kritikan atas kekejaman pemerintah pada zaman tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik penafsiran berupa penyajian bentuk penggambaran deskripsi. Data yang digunakan ada empat judul puisi, yaitu Hari itu Aku Akan Bersiul-siul, Peringatan, Suti, Gunung Batu, dan Terus Terang Saja. Teknik analisis data menggunakan konten analisis, yaitu peneliti melakukan pemaknaan terhadap data yang diklasifikasikan berdasarkan pendekatan poskolonial. Hasil analisis ini adalah adanya kritik sosial yang berupa sindiran, ejekan, atau rasa kesal penyair sebagai kaum pribumi kepada penjajah, yang tercermin dari keempat judul karya Wiji Thukul. Kritik sosial tersebut mengandung kajian postkolonial dan dapat dikategorikan sebagai mimikiri, ambivalensi, dan stereotip.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the Teun A Van Dijk's model text's dimensions in online news text discourse on Kompas.com Newspaper with the headline "Flashback to Distance Learning due to the Covid-19 Pandemic" on September 3, 2020. This study's data were speech and dialogue on the online media kompas.com, while the data source for the online newspaper kompas.com is in the form of news texts about distance learning flashbacks due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Data The data collection methods and techniques used the documentation method with the observation and note technique. In contrast, the data analysis method used the content analysis method with the Teun A Van Dijk model of critical discourse analysis approach. The results of this study indicate that the dimensions of Teun A Van Dijk's text consist of three parts, namely the superstructure, macro-structure, and microstructure measurements. The superstructure dimension is about coherence and schematic of text. The macrostructure dimension discusses thematic/topics, namely examining flashbacks or evaluating the implementation of the distance learning policy announced by the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture. The measurements of the microstructure that found in background elements, details, intentions, presuppositions, sentence form (passive and active sentences), coherence (additive/addition coherence, causal coherence, and contrast coherence), pronouns (their pronouns and us), lexicon, graphics, and metaphors (figure of speech).

Abstract

The study of literary works teaches humans to understand the meaning of life and increases their vision of wisdom and intelligence. Literary works of poetry need to be analyzed with the aim of examining and showing the purpose, message and impression they convey to poetry lovers or readers. The poems entitled "Land of Tears", "Bridge", "But" and "O Youth, Where Are Your Eggs?" Sutardji Calzoum Bachri's work in this research has an intentional meaning. This means that the meaning is the poet's expression of what the poet wants. This method is divided into three stages, namely the data collection stage, the data analysis stage, and the data presentation stage. Sutardji Calzoum Bachri's poems describe the spiritual journey and emotional exploration of humans through strong and imaginative language. His work is able to arouse readers' emotions with the various contradictions and dynamics of life. These poems show sensitivity and deep thoughts towards the world and human life in general. This provides evidence that poetry is a form of real expression that is in process.

Abstract

Reading is a basic skill that must be possessed by students. Reading skills are very important for students. This study aims to determine the influence of colored word learning media on the reading ability of grade 1 elementary school students. This research included quantitative research conducted on 64 first-graders of primary school. The data retrieval technique uses a reading test. The test design used is an experimental design with the type of Postest Only Control Group Design. The data analysis technique used in this study is the t-test. The results showed the influence of colored word learning media on the reading ability of grade I elementary school students. Based on the calculation results of the t test analysis, it can be seen that significant values of 0.000 0.05.  So it is known that there is an influence of colored word learning media on students' reading skills. The average score of reading skills in the experimental class was higher than the average score of the control class that did not use colored word learning media.

Abstract

Penggunaan video pembelajaran diharapkan mampu memberikan perubahan pada cara belajar siswa agar hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan, memberikan ketertarikan pada siswa pada pembelajaran, dan meningkatnya minat belajar. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, terdapat kekurangan nilai dalam hasil belajar siswa serta untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan video pembelajaran dalam proses belajar. Penelitian tindakan kelas bertujuan untuk menerapkan penggunaan video pembelajaran dengan tujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas II SDN Patihan. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar dari 78 menjadi 83 dan kemudian mencapai 88. Presentase ketuntasan meningkat dari 50% menjadi 75%, dan akhirnya mencapai 100%. Sehingga kesimpulan pada hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan pada efektivitas penggunaan media video pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas II SDN Patihan mengalami peningkatan.
