Abstract

Abstract

Character degradation has become a trend as a consequence of massive globalization. The deconstruction of a curriculum oriented towards character building can be achieved by integrating local traditions as a source of contextual learning. This study aims to explore history, analyze character values in the Haul Raden Intan II tradition, and apply them in history lessons. A qualitative case study approach was used to explore the phenomenon of the Haul Raden Intan II tradition in South Lampung. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with three key informants, namely the family of the heir and traditional leaders, religious leaders, and students who are cultural activists, supported by direct observation and documentation. Secondary sources, including scientific articles and supporting books, were used as references. Data analysis used interactive techniques by Miles and Huberman. The research findings show that the haul tradition has become the cultural identity of the people of South Lampung, serving to preserve the exemplary character of Raden Intan II. The Raden Intan II haul tradition's procession embodies values aligned with the Graduate Profile Dimensions, namely faith and devotion to God Almighty, citizenship, collaboration, critical thinking, and independence. The integration of the character values of the Raden Intan II haul tradition into history learning is presented in the material on the Struggle of the Local People Against the Colonizers, which uses a historical inquiry model based on mini-research and edu-vlogs, culminating in an authentic assessment.

Abstract

This research focuses on developing multicultural learning modules on localhistory content for high school students in Lampung. Through the multiculturallearning teaching module on local history content, it is hoped that it will fostertolerance for ethnic, linguistic, religious, cultural, and socio-economic diversity. The research method used is the research and development (R&D) method, adapted and modified by Borg & Gall. The procedure for work steps in theresearch includes: 1) preliminary study, 2) development of teaching modules, 3)implementation of the use of teaching modules, and 4) product effectivenesstest. Product effectiveness tests are conducted using experimental methods. Theresearch analysis of the effectiveness test results showed that the posttest scoresof the experimental class (using the developed module) were higher than thoseof the control class (using LKS). This statement is supported by data from theSPSS 16 analysis, which shows a significant difference (p = 0.000 < 0.05) betweenthe experimental and control classes after treatment. Because the average valueof the historical empathy attitude test of the experimental class (the groupsubjected to the developed module) = 128 > the average value of the historicalempathy attitude test of the control class (the group subjected to LKS) = 114.48,it can be concluded that the module developed effectively to increase students’historical empathy. The description above demonstrates that the MulticulturalLearning Teaching Module product for Local History Content at SMA Lampung iseffective in increasing students’ historical empathy

Abstract

This article discusses the journey of Indonesian youth organisations, from Tri Koro Dharmo to Jong Java, as part of the Indonesian national movement during the ethical policy period. The research method used is historical research with a literature study approach to reveal how the changes from Tri Koro Dharmo to Jong Java reflect the development of the Indonesian youth movement. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the education provided by the Dutch colonial government, although intended to create a skilled workforce, actually gave rise to educated youth who fought for Indonesia. The youth's dissatisfaction with the dominance of their elders in Budi Utomo led to the establishment of Tri Koro Dharmo in 1915, which was later renamed Jong Java in 1918. This organisation initially focused on Javanese culture but became increasingly inclusive by accepting young people from all over Indonesia. Through congresses and meetings, Jong Java fostered a sense of unity and political awareness among young people. The name change to Jong Java signified a transformation from a limited organisation to a more open one. Jong Java's success peaked with the 1928 Youth Congress, which united various youth organisations in the struggle for Indonesian independence.

The Union of Islamic Organizations (SI) started from the Sarekat Dagang Islam (SDI) which was transformed into the Sarekat Islam with the aim of expanding its reach which was not only limited to traders. SI turned into an association that encouraged the socio-political struggle of the people at the beginning of the twentieth century. The method used in this study is the Historical Method, namely heuristic steps, source criticism, data interpretation and historiography. The results of the study are the political progress of the Islamic organization, namely Sarekat Islam in 1916-1921 through national congresses in several regions by bringing up socio-political problems, which culminated in 1921 with the split of Sarekat Islam itself with two streams, namely Sarekat Islam Merah with socialist principles - communists led by Semaun and Sarekat Islam Putih based on nationality and religion led by Tjokroaminoto.

Abstract

This study aims to inventory and utilize the Suspected Cultural Heritage Objects (ODCB) in Bandar Lampung as supplementary teaching materials for local wisdom-based history lessons at SMA YP UNILA. The background of this research is based on the lack of attention to the preservation of local historical artifacts and the limited availability of teaching materials that are relevant to local wisdom. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an approach that includes literature study, documentation, observation, and interviews to obtain in-depth data regarding the ODCB in Bandar Lampung. The results of the study indicate that ODCBs, such as bunkers and caves from the Japanese occupation, have great potential as interactive and relevant local history teaching materials. The implementation of ODCBs in learning has increased students' awareness of the importance of preserving local history. In conclusion, integrating ODCBs into history teaching materials can be an effective solution to enrich learning content and encourage student involvement in understanding historical values.

Abstract

The knowledge of both teachers and students regarding the writing of scientific papers, whether related to natural phenomena, history, or local wisdom in Lampung, is still very lacking. This could be due to the fact that the majority of educators and students are still focused on formal learning activities, while improving scientific writing skills has not yet become a priority for students at SMA N 1 Sragi in the Sragi District. The main objective of this service is to educate high school students thru the collaboration of Kombel "SMANGGI BERBATIK" SMA N 1 Sragi, which can create synergy between the needs of students and the resources available at the school. Based on the analysis of the workshop activities of the Kombel Smanggi Berbatik collaboration in the scientific writing training for SMA N 1 Sragi students, the average pre-test score of the participants was 65.6, and the average post-test score was 83.6. Overall, the percentage increase in the evaluation results from the pre-test to the post-test was 21.5%. This percentage increase indicates that the Kombel Smanggi Berbatik collaboration workshop in the scientific writing training for SMA N 1 Sragi students was effective. Thru this workshop, students can develop their potential in creating engaging and innovative scientific writings.
