Abstract

This article discusses the journey of Indonesian youth organisations, from Tri Koro Dharmo to Jong Java, as part of the Indonesian national movement during the ethical policy period. The research method used is historical research with a literature study approach to reveal how the changes from Tri Koro Dharmo to Jong Java reflect the development of the Indonesian youth movement. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the education provided by the Dutch colonial government, although intended to create a skilled workforce, actually gave rise to educated youth who fought for Indonesia. The youth's dissatisfaction with the dominance of their elders in Budi Utomo led to the establishment of Tri Koro Dharmo in 1915, which was later renamed Jong Java in 1918. This organisation initially focused on Javanese culture but became increasingly inclusive by accepting young people from all over Indonesia. Through congresses and meetings, Jong Java fostered a sense of unity and political awareness among young people. The name change to Jong Java signified a transformation from a limited organisation to a more open one. Jong Java's success peaked with the 1928 Youth Congress, which united various youth organisations in the struggle for Indonesian independence.

Abstract

This study aims to inventory and utilize the Suspected Cultural Heritage Objects (ODCB) in Bandar Lampung as supplementary teaching materials for local wisdom-based history lessons at SMA YP UNILA. The background of this research is based on the lack of attention to the preservation of local historical artifacts and the limited availability of teaching materials that are relevant to local wisdom. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an approach that includes literature study, documentation, observation, and interviews to obtain in-depth data regarding the ODCB in Bandar Lampung. The results of the study indicate that ODCBs, such as bunkers and caves from the Japanese occupation, have great potential as interactive and relevant local history teaching materials. The implementation of ODCBs in learning has increased students' awareness of the importance of preserving local history. In conclusion, integrating ODCBs into history teaching materials can be an effective solution to enrich learning content and encourage student involvement in understanding historical values.

Abstract

This research focuses on developing multicultural learning modules on localhistory content for high school students in Lampung. Through the multiculturallearning teaching module on local history content, it is hoped that it will fostertolerance for ethnic, linguistic, religious, cultural, and socio-economic diversity. The research method used is the research and development (R&D) method, adapted and modified by Borg & Gall. The procedure for work steps in theresearch includes: 1) preliminary study, 2) development of teaching modules, 3)implementation of the use of teaching modules, and 4) product effectivenesstest. Product effectiveness tests are conducted using experimental methods. Theresearch analysis of the effectiveness test results showed that the posttest scoresof the experimental class (using the developed module) were higher than thoseof the control class (using LKS). This statement is supported by data from theSPSS 16 analysis, which shows a significant difference (p = 0.000 < 0.05) betweenthe experimental and control classes after treatment. Because the average valueof the historical empathy attitude test of the experimental class (the groupsubjected to the developed module) = 128 > the average value of the historicalempathy attitude test of the control class (the group subjected to LKS) = 114.48,it can be concluded that the module developed effectively to increase students’historical empathy. The description above demonstrates that the MulticulturalLearning Teaching Module product for Local History Content at SMA Lampung iseffective in increasing students’ historical empathy
