Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Sustainable Human Resource Management (HRM) and strengthening Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) on the effectiveness of community-based food management in Indragiri Hilir Regency, considering the mediating role of community participation levels and local government support. Using a quantitative approach using the PLS-SEM method, data were collected from 197 villages in 20 sub-districts through purposive sampling techniques, resulting in 197 respondents. The results showed that the strengthening of BUMDes had a significant effect on the effectiveness of food management (β=0.953; p<0.001) and the level of community participation (β=0.864; p<0.001). Sustainable HRM had a positive effect on community participation (β=0.073; p=0.001), but it was not significant on local government support (β=0.016; p=0.446). Community participation had a negative effect on the effectiveness of food management (β=–0.102; p=0.022), while local government support had no significant effect (β=0.063; p=0.451). The practical implications emphasize the importance of strengthening BUMDes and sustainable HRM practices in improving the effectiveness of food management. The limitations of this study include the geographical scope limited to one district and a quantitative approach that does not explore qualitative aspects. Further research is suggested to expand the study area and integrate qualitative approaches for a deeper understanding.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of psychological empowerment and work motivation on employee performance at Bank Jatim Madiun, Indonesia, a regional branch operating in a competitive and service-driven banking environment. Employee performance, crucial to ensuring service quality and operational success, remains below institutional expectations despite ongoing efforts. The study addresses this issue by exploring whether psychological empowerment and work motivation directly affect performance and whether employee engagement mediates these relationships. Using a quantitative research design and a saturated sampling of 110 employees, data were collected via structured questionnaires based on validated instruments and analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS. Results show that psychological empowerment significantly enhances both engagement and performance, and that engagement mediates this relationship. In contrast, while work motivation positively affects engagement, it has no direct or indirect impact on performance. These findings imply that fostering psychological empowerment by promoting autonomy, competence, and purpose may be more effective in improving performance than relying on motivation alone. The study recommends that banks adopt empowerment-oriented human resource strategies to enhance engagement and organizational outcomes.

Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) are increasing in prevalence in rural communities and are a serious threat to public health. Posyandu cadres as the frontline of health services at the community level have a strategic role in efforts to prevent and detect NCDs. However, the limited competence and capacity of cadres are often obstacles in optimizing these roles. This community service activity aims to strengthen the role of Posyandu Cadres through increasing competence in the prevention of NCDs in Gonggang Village, Poncol District, Magetan Regency. The method of community service activities is carried out with a participatory approach through training, mentoring, and field practice for Posyandu cadres. The material includes education on risk factors for NCDs, promotion of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), as well as early detection skills and monitoring of citizens' health. The evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test knowledge, observation of cadre practices, and feedback from the community. The results of this activity show a significant increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres in recognizing NCD risk factors and conducting health education to the community. Cadres are also able to initiate promotive-preventive activities at the Posyandu, such as healthy lifestyle campaigns, blood pressure measurement, and simple blood sugar monitoring. The support of the community and the village government also strengthens the sustainability of the program. The conclusion of this activity is that strengthening the role of Posyandu Cadres through increasing competence has proven to be effective in supporting the prevention of NCDs at the community level. This model has the potential to be replicated in other regions to support the transformation of primary healthcare

Abstract

Contact between teaching and educational staff and students in higher education is relatively intensive. One of the critical determinants of the success of higher education is the satisfaction of teaching staff. This research examines the influence of Spiritual Intelligence and Spiritual leadership on job satisfaction and performance of PNSD education staff at private universities in Riau. The respondents to this research were 105 lecturers. The exogenous variables are Spiritual Intelligence and Spiritual Leadership, while the endogenous variables consist of job satisfaction and lecturer performance. The analysis used in this research is path analysis using PLS-SEM. The results of the hypothesis test show that Spiritual Intelligence and Spiritual leadership have a significant effect on job satisfaction. For the Performance variable, only Spiritual Intelligence has a significant effect. Spiritual leadership has no significant effect on performance. This research suggests that spiritual intelligence needs to be developed so that lecturers can align personal values with organizational goals. Leaders need to prioritize the interests of their members rather than their personal interests. A spiritual leader who is able to manage his ego to provide motivation and good work enthusiasm will undoubtedly be able to increase the job satisfaction and performance of his subordinates. This research contributes to developing theories of job satisfaction and performance from a spiritual perspective.

Abstract

Abstract

General Background Educational staff are central to higher education quality and academic service sustainability. Specific Background Low compliance with working hours, reflected in an average absence rate of 6.68% among 90 educational staff, indicates challenges in discipline, responsibility, and employee performance. Knowledge Gap Prior findings on self-esteem and self-efficacy in employee performance remain varied, while organizational support as a mediating mechanism requires empirical clarification. Aims This study examined self-esteem and self-efficacy in relation to employee performance, with organizational support positioned as a mediating variable. Results SEM PLS analysis showed that self-esteem was significantly related to organizational support (p = 0.003) but not directly related to employee performance (p = 0.169). Self-efficacy was significantly related to organizational support (p = 0.000) and employee performance (p = 0.029). Organizational support was significantly related to employee performance (p = 0.000) and mediated the relationships between self-esteem, self-efficacy, and employee performance. The model explained 60.9% of employee performance variance, and all constructs met validity and reliability criteria. Novelty This study positions organizational support as a central mechanism connecting internal self-beliefs with work outcomes among educational staff. Implications Higher education management should align psychological capacity development with supportive organizational systems, including appreciation, feedback, fair procedures, and adequate work resources, to strengthen employee performance and academic service quality. Highlights• Self Esteem showed a significant pathway to institutional backing but not to work outcomes.• Self Efficacy showed significant direct pathways to institutional backing and work outcomes.• SEM PLS explained 60.9% of variance with valid and reliable constructs. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of influencer marketing on purchasing intention with brand image as a mediating variable in a monopolistic competitive market. Using the Robust Least Square method, this study tested data from 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling: consumers who actively use body care products daily. The study results indicate that influencer marketing significantly influences building brand image, which becomes the main factor in increasing purchasing intention. However, no direct effect was found between influencer marketing and purchasing intention, thus emphasizing the role of brand image as a link between the two. In a monopolistic market, where competition focuses on non-price differentiation, brand image has proven to be a strategic asset that strengthens brand position. Influencer marketing helps create emotional narratives, credibility through endorsements, and personal relationships with audiences, all of which enhance brand image. Overall, this study emphasizes the importance of brand image management as the core of a digital marketing strategy. With a strong brand image, companies can increase purchasing intention, create consumer loyalty, expand product portfolios, and increase competitiveness in a dynamic industry
