Abstract

This study aims to present differences of children’s abilities in acquiring language. This study uses a qualitative method by collecting sources from various journal articles and books. The object of the study is experiences that prove several theories related to language acquisition. This journal describes several language acquisition approaches which are reinforced by theories from an expert as well as examples of language acquisition experienced by the author.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of attendance (fingerprint) in improving employee discipline at the CV Hikayat Cipta Semesta office. This study uses a quantitative research type where there are two variables, namely fingerprint attendance and works motivation as independent variables and employee discipline as the dependent variable, using data sources including primary, secondary, population, and sample data. . Data collection methods used are interviews, distributing questionnaires to several respondents and documenting data or variables in the form of notes, and so on. As well as using measuring tools in the form of validity and reliability to see the validity and reliability of the research results in Cronbach alpha, then using data analysis methods using multiple regression analysis methods which are used to determine the effect of the independent variable and the dependent variable partially and simultaneously, namely the fingerprint attendance variable. From the results of this study, it was seen partially with the T-test that fingerprint attendance did not significantly affect employee discipline at CV Hikayat Cipta Semesta, while the work motivation variable had a significant effect on employee discipline at CV Hikayat Cipta Semesta. Furthermore, the simultaneous influence test with the F test, shows that fingerprint attendance and work motivation have a significant effect on employee discipline. From the results of this research, it is hoped that it can be useful for all parties, especially in improving employee discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of information technology-based teaching and teacher certification on teacher competence and its implications for teacher performance at Vocational High Schools in Parung Panjang, Bogor Regency, West Java. The method used is explanatory research with analysis techniques using statistical analysis with regression testing, determination and hypothesis testing. The results of this research that information technology-based teaching has a significant effect on teacher competence by obtaining the hypothesis test t count> t table (3.978> 1.980). Teacher certification has a significant effect on teacher competence by obtaining the hypothesis test t count> t table (4.449> 1.980). Information technology-based teaching and teacher certification simultaneously have a significant effect on teacher competence by obtaining the hypothesis test F count> F table (19,213> 3,080). Information technology-based teaching has a significant effect on teacher performance by obtaining the hypothesis test t count> t table (3.030> 1.980). Teacher certification has a significant effect on teacher performance by obtaining the hypothesis test t count> t table (2.870> 1.980). Teacher competence has a significant effect on teacher performance by obtaining the hypothesis test t count> t table (3,747> 1,980). Information technology-based teaching, teacher certification and teacher competence simultaneously have a significant effect on teacher performance by obtaining the hypothesis test F count> F table (20,238> 2,680).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh brand image terhadap keputusan pembelian pada PT. Wahana Motor di Wilayah Cianjur. Metode yang digunakan adalah explanatory research dengan sampel sebanyak 96 responden. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis statistik dengan pengujian regresi, korelasi, determinasi dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini variabel brand image diperoleh nilai rata-rata skor sebesar 3,405 dengan kriteria baik. Variabel keputusan pembelian diperoleh nilai rata-rata skor sebesar 3,830 dengan kriteria baik. Brand image berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian dengan nilai persamaan regresi Y = 6,764 + 0,867X, dan nilai koefisien korelasi 0,779 atau memiliki tingkat hubungan yang kuat dengan nilai determinasi 60,7%. Uji  hipotesis diperoleh signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan promosi jabatan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan pada Kantor Jasa Penilai Publik (KJPP) Sukardi, Israr & Rekan di Jakarta Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 57 responden. Analisis data menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi, koefisien korelasi, koefisien determinasi dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 47,8% dan uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung > ttabel atau (7,096>2,004). Promosi Jabatan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 40,3% dan uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung > ttabel atau (6,089>2,004). Lingkungan kerja dan promosi jabatan secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan dengan persamaan regresi Y = 8,967 + 0,440X1 + 0,288 X2. Nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 58,3% sedangkan sisannya sebesar 41,7% dipengaruhi faktor lain. Uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai Fhitung > Ftabel atau (37,739>2,780).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the value of humanity in the film The Giver uses Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis approach. Described structured and conceptualized to be able to obtain valid and easy to understand data. The description of the data and the explanation of the aspects of the keywords above form a description of the information on research findings in order to obtain the concept of analysis regarding the human value that is to be sought for its existence. This research also aims to provide education and new insights about films that have messages and concepts about life that are different from usual. The film The Giver was chosen because it was deemed sufficient to have criteria as a film that deserves to be analyzed because it has a storyline and sketches of life that are anti-mainstream from others. This research uses semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes who studies the signs that will describe the denotative, connotative and mythical meanings of the story. This film analysis research process requires a high level of focus and commitment in order to obtain the conclusion data to be achieved. The results of this study illustrate how the human values in the film The Giver are not applied or violate human norms which are the fundamentals of a human's life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Physical Work Environment and Work Discipline on Employee Performance at the Polyurethane Department of PT Pratama Abadi Industri in Serpong either partially or simultaneously. This type of research uses descriptive quantitative methods. The sampling technique uses a saturated sample of 54 respondents. Data analysis techniques using, data instrument test, classic assumption test, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, correlation coefficient, and coefficient of determination. Test the hypothesis using the t-test and F-test. The results of the analysis show: Physical Work Environment partially affects employee performance with a simple linear regression equation Y = 8.609 + 1.014X1. The correlation coefficient value is 0.807 meaning that it has a strong relationship level and a determination coefficient of 0.651 means that performance is influenced by the Physical Work Environment by 65.1%. This is evidenced by the t-test obtained t count > t table (9.857 > 2.00758) and reinforced by a significant value <0.05 (0.000 <0.05). Work Discipline partially has a positive effect on employee performance, shown by the simple linear regression equation Y = 0.786 + 0.977X2. The correlation coefficient value is 0.926, meaning that it has a strong relationship, and a determination coefficient of 0.860 means that competence influences performance by 86%. This is evidenced by the t-test obtained t count > t table (17.838 > 2.00758) and reinforced by a significance value <0.05 (0.000 <0.05). The results of the study of the Physical Work Environment and Work Discipline simultaneously on employee performance are shown by the multiple linear regression equation Y = 1.003 + 0.194 X1 + 0.844 X2, the correlation coefficient value is 0.931 meaning that it has a strong relationship level and the determination coefficient is 0.867%, meaning that performance is influenced by Work Environment and Work Discipline of 86.7%. This is evidenced by the results of the F-test hypothesis test obtained by F count > F table (166.392 > 3.18) and reinforced by a significance value <0.05 (0.000 <0.05). Thus it is proven that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of total quality management and organizational culture on employee job satisfaction with employee performance as an intervening variable. This research uses quantitative research, which is based on data that can be calculated to produce a strong quantitative interpretation. The data analysis technique used is PLS version 3.0 (Partial Least Square) software which is a variant-based structural equation analysis (Structural Equation Model) and can perform measurement model testing as well as structural model testing. The population and sample in this study were cooperatives in the South Tangerang area. The technique used in this study was the Simple Random Sampling Technique. And the sample used in this study were 191 employees in the South Tangerang Cooperative. With the results of the study that total quality management has a significant effect on employee job satisfaction because the t-statistic value is 19,056 1,652 while the latent variable on organizational culture has an effect on the contribution to the latent variable on employee job satisfaction with a statistical value of 14,351 1,652. While the latent variable total quality management has no significant effect on employee performance because the value is 1.281 1.652. And the organizational culture variable has an effect on employee performance with a t-statistic value of 4.214 1.652. And for the variable employee job satisfaction has an effect on employee performance with a value of 5.115 1.652.

Abstract

The occurrence of obesity cannot be separated from lifestyle, such as decreased physical activity. Obesity is considered the first signal of the emergence of non-infectious diseases such as diabetes and cholesterol. This study aims to determine physical activity in obese people. Through SmartWatch, people will get data that is footsteps, heart rate, calories. Method: This research using experiment research or Single-Subject Research called SSR. Subjects had 110 kg in weight and 171cm in height with a BMI of 37,6 (Very Fat/Obesity). Analysis of the physical activity of obese people using the active lifestyle rubric and SmartWatch. The research findings that the average score obtained by obese subjects for the footstep category was 1,704 (very low category), which means that the physical activity carried out is also included in the light physical activity category. The average score for the heart rate category obtained by the subject was 67bpm which was included in the normal and low categories, while for the category of calories in and out, the average score obtained was 44 calories used, including into the low category. Physical activity of obese people based on monitoring using SmartWatch also concluded that the active lifestyle of an obese person is very low or low; this can be seen from the results of monitoring physical activity, namely footsteps, heart rate, calories, and Body Mass Index (BMI).

Abstract

Dinamika datang tanpa dikehendaki, sebagaimana Covid-19 ini. Sejak terjadi awal tahun 2020, pandemi secara signifikan merubah tatanan kehidupan tidak terkecuali pada Lembaga Pendidikan Tinggi. Dalam kondisi seperti ini, sikap bijak yang dapat diambil adalah beradaptasi. Artinya, lembaga memaksimalkan potensi manajemen pengetahuan guna menghadirkan model kerja yang relevan dan menjaga eksistensi kinerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap, bagaimana manajemen pengetahuan dalam implementasinya dapat menjadi salah satu solusi di dalam menjaga dan mempertahankan kinerja dosen di masa pandemi. Untuk menjawab tujuan tersebut, maka pendekatan kualitatif ditetapkan, sebagai upaya mendapatkan gambaran utuh dari fenomena yang diangkat. Penentuan unit analisis didasarkan pada kriteria yang telah ditatapkan melalui teknik purposif, kemudian dalam pembahasan hasil penelitian digunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dapat dikemukakan gambaran secara umum atau sedikit banyak manajemen pengetahuan membantu pihak manajemen lembaga pendidikan tinggi dalam beradaptasi dengan keadaan pandemi, khususnya dalam menjaga kinerja dosen dalam melaksanakan pendidikan. Hal ini terbukti, manajemen pengetahuan mendorong lahirnya sistem penyelenggaraan pendidikan online berbasis teknologi, sehingga kinerja dosen dalam bidang pendidikan tidak menurun. Begitu pun dalam bidang penelitian dan pengabdian, manajemen pengetahuan menginisiasi lahirnya model kerja adaptif berorientasi sistem. Artinya, walau masa pendemi covid-19 melahirkan banyak batasan dalam beraktivitas, namun dengan adanya penerapan manajemen pengetahuan, kegiatan pembelajaran, penelitian dan pengabdian  yang terkait dengan tri dharma perguruan tinggi tetap berjalan sebagaimana biasanya. Tentu, keadaan ini menegaskan, bahwa manajemen pengetahuan memiliki manfaat yang besar bagi eksistensi kinerja dosen dan lembaga.
