Abstract

There are several ways to increase detection accuracy result on the intrusion detection systems (IDS), one way is feature extraction. The existing original features are filtered and then converted into features with lower dimension. This paper uses the Principal Components Analysis (PCA) for features extraction on intrusion detection system with the aim to improve the accuracy and precision of the detection. The impact of features extraction to attack detection was examined. Experiments on a network traffic dataset created from an Internet of Thing (IoT) testbed network topology were conducted and the results show that the accuracy of the detection reaches 100 percent.

Abstract

The feature selection techniques are used to find the most important and relevant features in a dataset. Therefore, in this study feature selection technique was used to improve the performance of Anomaly Detection. Many feature selection techniques have been developed and implemented on the NSL-KDD dataset. However, with the rapid growth of traffic on a network where more applications, devices, and protocols participate, the traffic data is complex and heterogeneous contribute to security issues. This makes the NSL-KDD dataset no longer reliable for it. The detection model must also be able to recognize the type of novel attack on complex network datasets. So, a robust analysis technique for a more complex and larger dataset is required, to overcome the increase of security issues in a big data network. This study proposes particle swarm optimization (PSO) Search methods as a feature selection method. As contribute to feature analysis knowledge, In the experiment a combination of particle swarm optimization (PSO) Search methods with other search methods are examined. To overcome the limitation NSL-KDD dataset, in the experiments the CICIDS2017 dataset used. To validate the selected features from the proposed technique J48 classification algorithm used in this study. The detection performance of the combination PSO Search method with J48 examined and compare with other feature selection and previous study. The proposed technique successfully finds the important features of the dataset, which improve detection performance with 99.89% accuracy. Compared with the previous study the proposed technique has better accuracy, TPR, and FPR.

Abstract

The function of composition is one of the important material in Mathematics learning because it makes calculation in daily activities easier, for example, in process of book production, metal recycle, change of golden into jewelery, and also in economics, physics, geography and sociology fields. The purpose of this working paper is to describe about enjoyable mathematics learning in composition function material through Pendekatan Pembelajaran Pendidikan matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI). In the fact, the students of learning achievement in composition function in class is less satisfy. Most of students get some difficulties to determine about two functions. Therefore, the learning which is able to assist students more interesting in learning and to increase their concept to develop comprehension is needed. This paper will be explain about PMRI which create the students more effective and enjoyable through water bill in mathematics learning such composition function material.

Abstract

This research aimed to produce learning trajectory in learning Similarity using Origami as the context, trough Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) approach. The method of this research was design research that consisted of three phases namely preliminary design, design experiment (pilot experiment and teaching experiment) and retrospective analysis. The research was conducted in Sekolah Dasar Negeri 24 Palembang. Data collection was obtained by interviews, observations, video recording, collecting student work, pre-test and post-test. The results of this research showed that Learning Trajectory (LT) which contained a series of learning process using Origami could help students to find the concept of Similarity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the context of the fashion pattern in the learning operations of real numbers. In this lesson, learners are expected to be able to solve the problem of operation of real numbers in context. The method used in this research is the method of design research with the subjects of research students class X in SMK Negeri 2 Prabumulih, South Sumatera. This research develops learning result of real number operation by showing activity, procedure and strategies used by learners to solve the problem of operation of real number. The Indonesian realistic mathematics education approach is used in this study because it is in accordance with the context used. The results of this study show that the activity of making clothing patterns can improve the understanding of learners in understanding the operation of real numbers.

Abstract

This study aims to produce the student worksheet designs based on MEAs. In designing it uses the development of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) models. This study only steps were taken to analyze and design. In the analysis phase, an assessment of basic competencies is carried out. Next, it composes indicators based on basic competencies. Beside that, researchers also study the MEAs approach. After the first step, proceed with compiling student worksheet.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the part of learning trajectory supporting the student understanding on learning arithmetic sequence and series using tradisional handycraft songket Palembang with PMRI approach and describe learning students activity proccess of class X in learning mathematics so that can develop informal activity become formal when learning arithmetic sequence and series. The method used in this study is the Design Research that consists of three stages: preliminary, design of experiment (pilot experiments and teaching experiment) and restrospective analysis. The subjects consisted of 29 students of class X. This study resulted in Learning Trajectory (LT), which contains a series of learning process that helps students find the concept of arithmetic sequence and series. At the informal level, students use the context of songket Palembang to find rules of arithmetic sequence and series. In preformal level, students begin composing and drawing motif images of songket as of arithmetic sequences, using pieces of motifs songket as a model of what they consider to be a songket which led to a model for the arithmetic sequences in finding the n and number of first n terms of arithmetic series. While on a formal level the students is able to resolve the problem by using contextual knowledge and their experience at the previous level

Abstract

This research method used is design research type development study. This research develops teaching materials in the form of student activity sheets about the Riemann sum based on APOS theory that is valid, practical, and has a potential effect in mathematics learning. Research utilizing Microsoft Excel software. Development of teaching materials through stages, preliminary study dan formative study. The preliminary stage included preparation and design, the formative study stage included Self Evaluation, Expert Reviews, One to One, Small Group and Field Test. The validity of teaching materials was stated by two experts (expert review), two peers and three students (one-to-one). The practicality of instructional materials was seen from the results of small group activities. Based on the result of field test, it was found that the use of LAM teaching materials based on the APOS theory developed had a potential effect on the comprehension ability of mathematics concept especially in Riemann sum concept, From the result of the test, the percentage of concept comprehension was above 61.00%. this illustrates all of indicators of understanding students' mathematical concepts were good.

Abstract

Teknologi Infromasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) memberikan dampak yang besar dalam merubah cara pandang pengajaran saat ini. Ketersedian perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak serta akses internet menjadikan pengajaran merubah paradigma pengajaran konvensional yaitu dari guru menjadi sumber informasi ke guru dan siswa berbagi informasi. Perubahan paradigma ini menjadikan proses pembelajaran lebih kreatif karena sumber belajar tidak lagi dimulai dari dalam kelas tetapi dimulai dari luar kelas dan di bedah di dalam kelas secara bersama-sama. Abstract

Mathematical Modeling is the cornerstone and central aspect of the PISA framework. However, students still encounter difficulties in dealing with problems related to mathematical modeling. This study aims to produce a learning trajectory of mathematical modeling on functions material using the context of an online taxibike. Mathematical modeling activities on functions material are designed using the mathematical modeling cycle in the PISA framework. The subjects in this study were students of class X Bina Ilmi IT Senior High School Palembang. The research method used is validation studies. The research consisted of three stages, namely the preparation stage, the experimental design stage consisting of two cycles (cycle I: pilot experiment and cycle II: teaching experiment) and the retrospective analysis stage. Data was collected through observation, interviews and written test (students' work on the activity sheet and the results of pre-test and post-test). The results showed that learning activities that have been designed can assist students in solving mathematical modeling problems on functions. It begins with the formulate, employed, interprete/evaluate process. Through these mathematical modeling processes, students have a better understanding of functions and become accustomed to using mathematical modeling processes in solving contextual problems related to function material.
