Abstract

Amun Kay Village is one of the villages in Tanah Miring District developed into an agricultural center with a background of transmigrant people working as farmers and cattle breeders. This village is located in a lowland area dominated by open shrub areas, rice fields, and swamps. Swamp areas, agricultural fields, and cattle areas become breeding sites for various types of mosquitoes. This study aims to find out about the different kinds of mosquitoes that live in Amun Kay village, Tanah Miring District, so that programs that take care of and maintain animals, like cattle, can better control the mosquitoes that spread disease to cattle. We adjusted the cattle collection method to the specific conditions of the research location. Based on the results of mosquito collection in 3 cattle cages in Amun Kay village, 32 mosquito species with 9 genera were found. The diversity of mosquito species in this study was moderate, and the evenness index of mosquito species was high. The low mosquito dominance index indicates that few mosquitoes dominate an area around the cattle barns in Amun Kay Village, Tanah Miring District, Merauke

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis digital di era transformasi pendidikan abad 21 yang dikaitkan dengan era revolusi industri 4.0. tujuadn daripada kajian ini yakni untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan media poster berbasis digital, aktivitas siswa, pemahaman peserta didik dalam kegiatan pembelajaran pendidikan pancasila dengan memanfaatkan media poster berbasis digital. Metode yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain secara studi kasus, subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VI C yang mencakup 32 siswa dan wali kelas VI C. Sampel melalui teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat ditarik kesimpulan pemanfaatan media poster berbasis digital sangat efektif dan efisien bermanfaat dalam membangkitkan semangat belajar peserta didik, menjadikan kegiatan pembelajaran semakin inovatif sehingga menjadikan suasana pembelajaran tidak monoton, memudahkan guru untuk memberikan Pelajaran pembelajaran yang mana bisa terwujudnya visi pembelajaran yang diinginkan. Aktivitas peserta didik pada pemanfaatan media poster berbasis digital berlangsung secara optimal dengan hasil skor ketercapaian 95. Pada hasil tes pemahaman diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 87,531 sehingga hasil tes pemahaman peserta didik didik “Sangat Tinggi”.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The focus of this study was to determine whether the use of short film learning media had an effect on students' understanding of the concept of tolerance in the Pancasila Education subject at SD Negeri Kenjeran 248 Surabaya. This research employs a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The population and research sample used were 27 4th grade students. Researchers conducted a multiple-choice test of 20 questions as a method for collecting data, which included a pretest before treatment and a posttest after treatment. Normality tests and hypothesis tests were applied as data analysis techniques to measure the effect of the treatment. The research findings showed that there was a significant increase in students' understanding of the concept of tolerance after being given treatment in the form of using short film learning media obtained from the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test, where the Sig value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (<0.05) indicates that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Based on these findings, it can be proven that the learning method using short films is an effective way to measure the influence of student understanding. Additionally, the results of the analysis showed a t-value of 21.243 with a degree of freedom (df) of 26, which strengthens the conclusion that there is a real difference between students' understanding before and after using learning media. In conclusion, the use of short film learning media can show a significant influence on students' understanding of the concept of tolerance. Keywords: Short Film, Tolerance, Concept Understanding. ABSTRAK Fokus dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penggunaan media pembelajaran film pendek berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep toleransi siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di SD Negeri Kenjeran 248 Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental tipe one-group pretest-posttest. Populasi dan sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas 4 sebanyak 27 siswa. Peneliti melakukan tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal sebagai metode untuk mengumpulkan data yang meliputi pretest sebelum perlakuan dan posttest setelah perlakuan. Uji normalitas dan uji hipotesis diterapkan sebagai teknik analisis data untuk mengukur pengaruh perlakuan. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa ditemukan pengaruh pada pemahaman konsep toleransi siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa penggunaan media pembelajaran film pendek yang diperoleh dari hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t, dimana nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05) mengindikasikan bahwa hipotesis alternatif diterima. Berdasarkan temuan ini, dapat dibuktikan bahwa metode pembelajaran dengan menggunakan film pendek merupakan cara yang efektif untuk mengukur pengaruh pemahaman siswa. Selain itu, hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai t sebesar 21,243 dengan derajat kebebasan (df) 26, yang memperkuat kesimpulan adanya perbedaan yang nyata antara pemahaman siswa antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan media pembelajaran film pendek dapat menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman siswa mengenai konsep toleransi. Kata Kunci: Film Pendek, Toleransi, Pemahaman Konsep.

Abstract

The lack of innovative learning media makes it difficult for students to receive material delivery from teachers. One of them is norms and rules material for elementary school students. Teacher should be more innovative in choosing media for the teaching process. Powtoon videos are a suitable medium for conveying norms and rules material because with very interesting features it can increase students understanding of norms and rules material. This research methodology includes data collection and analysis steps. This research was carried out using the Quasi Experimental Design method. The instrument used was the result of the posstest test which proved that the video media had a significant effect on the understanding of the norms and rules of elementary school students. Based on the result of the hypothesis test using the spss application version 21 shows that it is known that sig. (2-tailed) has values of 0.040 and 0.041, it can be concluded that “Ha” is accepted and “Ho” is rejected. This proves that video media is influential in understanding the norms and rules of elementary school students.

Abstract

Literasi adalah keterampilan dasar yang mencakup membaca dan menulis, yang penting untuk perkembangan akademik siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana kegiatan literasi membaca dan menulis dilakukan, strategi yang digunakan, serta tantangan dan solusi di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi siswa di tingkat kelas bawah dan atas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas bawah, aktivitas membaca mencapai 77% (Baik), sedangkan kegiatan menulis mencapai 84,5% (Sangat Baik). Sementara itu, di kelas atas, aktivitas membaca mencapai 91% (Sangat Baik), dan kegiatan menulis mencapai 88,6% (Sangat Baik). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan literasi di kelas atas lebih baik daripada di kelas bawah, meskipun keduanya menunjukkan hasil positif. Untuk meningkatkan literasi, sekolah menerapkan beberapa strategi, seperti menyediakan pojok baca, program membaca 15 menit harian, latihan menulis kreatif, diskusi buku, dan program BUSAB. Namun, tantangan tetap ada, terutama kurangnya motivasi membaca di antara siswa kelas bawah. Solusinya yang diterapkan adalah memberikan dukungan lebih kepada siswa dan melibatkan orang tua dalam meningkatkan minat baca anak. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi literasi yang diterapkan di sekolah cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis siswa.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to optimize the understanding and skills of elementary school (SD) teachers in Tarik District in implementing innovative learning based on deep learning. The concept of deep learning in the context of education does not solely refer to the use of technology, but also includes a deep, reflective, and meaningful learning approach. Through this approach, teachers are expected to be able to create a learning environment that encourages students to think critically, creatively, and be able to collaborate effectively. This activity was attended by 34 elementary school teachers from eight schools in the Tarik District area. In addition to providing training related to deep learning concepts and strategies, such as project-based learning and problem-based learning, this activity also introduced the use of OLabs (Online Labs), which is a virtual laboratory platform that can be accessed for free and is specifically designed to support the implementation of online experimental learning. The use of OLabs provides an efficient and flexible alternative, especially for educational units that have limited laboratory facilities. Based on the results of the evaluation, there was a significant increase in teachers' understanding of innovative learning principles, as well as a commitment to implement the approach in an adaptive manner and in accordance with the context of each school. This activity is expected to be the starting point in efforts to strengthen the pedagogic capacity of teachers, in order to support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum and answer the challenges of 21st century education.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the application of differentiated learning assisted by Articulate Storyline 3 media in improving mathematics learning outcomes of class IIIA students at SDN Kebraon II Surabaya. The main problem faced is the low interest and learning outcomes of students in mathematics subjects, so that innovative learning strategies are needed and in accordance with the individual needs of students.Method – This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with two cycles conducted in SDN Kebraon II Surabaya. Data was collected through learning outcome tests. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative methods to observe improvements in student learning outcomes from the pre-cycle to cycle 2, complemented by Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to assess statistical significance. Findings – The results showed that the application of differentiated learning assisted by Articulate Storyline 3 can improve student learning outcomes. The student’ average score increased from 51.92 (pre-cycle) to 70 (cycle 1) and 83.02 (cycle 2). The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test revealed significant differences between pre-cycle and cycle 1 scores (p = 0.000 ? 0.05), as well as between cycle 1 and cycle 2 scores (p = 0.000 ? 0.05), confirming a statistically significant improvement. Research Implications – This study suggests that teachers should integrate interactive media Articulate Storyline 3 in differentiated learning to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. However, this study was limited to a small sample size of 26 students, and further research is needed to explore long-term effects on different student demographics.

Abstract

: low numeracy literacy ability of students is a particular concern considering that in this 21st-century learning, students should have mastered this ability. The problem-based learning models is a learning model that presents a contextual problems so that students can be directly involved in the problem-solving process. Thus, this study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model on the numeracy literacy skills of elementary school students. The research method used by researchers is a pre-experiment with one group pretest and posttest design using a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was eleven students in fifth grade at Waru Timur 2 Pamekasan Madura state elementary school. Data collection was carried out by administering tests (pretest and posttest) regarding students’ numeracy literacy abilities. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and hypothesis testing with paired samples test. Based on the results of data processing, it is known that there is a significant influence of the use of problem-based learning models on students’ numeracy literacy skills. That is because learning is student-centered so that students can be directly involved in problem-solving

Abstract

Writing essays with a descriptive structure is one of the basic competencies. A descriptive essay is a true depiction of objects or events so that the reader feels what the writer feels in the story. However, the level of students' ability to write descriptive essays is still low given the lack of understanding in writing descriptions so it is difficult to find ideas to translate into written form, and the choice of vocabulary is not quite right in constructing sentences. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the project-based learning model assisted by mind mapping on students' descriptive essay writing skills. The method of this research is Quasi Experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. Quasi experiment was conducted to determine the effect of a treatment on the subject under study. The research subjects were 50 students of class fourth-grade at Dukuh Menanggal I/424 Public Elementary School, Surabaya. Data analysis techniques using normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was an influence of the Mind Mapping-assisted Project Based Learning learning model on literacy skills in writing essay descriptions of grade IV students. In addition, with the help of Mind Mapping, can students learn motivation in writing descriptive essays because it helps focus students' minds in composing sentences into paragraphs.

Abstract

The ability to think critically in the 21st century is very important for developing children's thinking ideas. This ability is very likely to be empowered intentionally through the educational process. In this century it is very influential in human life, especially in the field of technology and knowledge. However, students' critical thinking skills are still low, with one of the factors being the learning model which is still considered monotonous. Therefore this study aims to determine the effect of the project based learning model on critical thinking skills seen from cognitive style. The type of research used is quantitative research with research methods using tests and observations, the subjects of this research are 5th grade elementary school students. With the method of data analysis using the normality test, homogeneity and ANOVA hypothesis testing. The data was analyzed quantitatively. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of the project based learning learning model on students' Critical Thinking abilities in science subjects at SDN Gaungan 02. The project based learning model emphasizes that student activities are in the form of collecting information and using it to produce something useful for the lives of students themselves or for other people, but still related to basic competencies in the curriculum.
