Abstract

Education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) has an important role in producing a generation that excels both academically and in Islamic character. In the process of providing education, effective financing management, especially in Admission of New Students (PPDB), is a crucial factor. This research aims to analyze PPDB financing management at MTs Assalam Bandung, identify obstacles and opportunities in the management process, and propose improvement strategies to increase financing efficiency. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving interviews with madrasa heads, financial staff, the PPDB committee, and analysis of financial documents. The research results show that PPDB financing management at MTs Assalam Bandung is carried out through detailed planning, efficient management and strict supervision. The use of a wave-based payment system and online registration increases operational efficiency and transparency. However, challenges such as late payments and parents' lack of understanding of financial provisions are still the main obstacles. The resulting recommendations include implementing an installment and education savings system, as well as strengthening communication between schools and parents to ensure a better understanding of financial regulations. This research concludes that transparent and efficient financing management can improve the quality of education and build public trust in educational institutions.

Abstract

Abstract

Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the implementation of School Operational Assistance (Bantuan Operasional Sekolah, BOS) fund management in improving the quality of education at madrasah ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary schools in Indonesia), and to identify the challenges and solutions in its implementation. Method: This qualitative descriptive study was conducted at MIN 1 Bandung City. The research subjects included the Principal of Madrasah as a key informant, treasurer, and teacher using the snowball sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with source triangulation to ensure data validity. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing based on cross-verification from various sources. Results: The management of BOS funds at MIN 1 Kota Bandung is conducted through structured planning aligned with the National Education Standards, emphasizing efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder collaboration. Supervision involves school committees and internal auditors to ensure accountability. This management supports educational quality through academic programs, facility improvements, and teacher development. Despite challenges like limited budgets and strict regulations, they were addressed with strategic planning and alternative funding. Contribution of theory: The study also highlights Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), mas'uliyyah (responsibility), shiddiq (honesty), tabligh (transparency), and itqan (professionalism), which reinforce integrity in financial practices. Findings support the Shariah-based education finance model that prioritizes planning, transparency, and accountability. Recommendations: However, since the study focused on one madrasah, broader research across different regions is recommended to validate and generalize the results.

Abstract

This research discusses the management of educational financing at the (STIQ) As-Syifa, a Private Islamic Higher Education Institution (PTKIS) under the auspices of the Yayasan As-Syifa Al-Khoiriyyah. The main focus of the research is on financial management, which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising educational funds. A qualitative approach was used to analyze data obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the financial management at STIQ As-Syifa is conducted centrally through the Finance and General Administration Division (BAUK), supported by an internal audit system every six months. The primary sources of financing come from student contributions and donations from the foundation, managed with principles of transparency and accountability. Additionally, STIQ As-Syifa integrates formal learning programs with Al-Qur'an memorization, which affects the cost structure and financing model applied. However, the main challenges include budget limitations, minimal government assistance, and low participation from the private sector in funding. To address these constraints, STIQ As-Syifa needs to develop innovative strategies in fund management, such as diversifying funding sources and optimizing community participation.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the integration of Islamic ethics in value-based strategic management as a holistic approach in educational strategic planning. The main problem raised is the lack of application of Islamic values in education management, which has an impact on the less than optimal achievement of Islamic education goals. This research uses the literature study method by analysing relevant literature, theories and concepts. The results show that the integration of Islamic values, such as trustworthiness, justice, ihsan and deliberation, provides an effective framework to improve efficiency, accountability and sustainability in education management. This approach not only addresses the challenges of modernization, but also maintains the spiritual identity of Islamic educational institutions. The findings are expected to serve as a practical guide for educational institutions, researchers, and policy makers in managing value-based education.

Abstract

Strategic management is an important element in ensuring the sustainability and relevance of Islamic education institutions amid the dynamics of global change. This article aimed to analyze the strategic management of Islamic education with a focus on the role of vision, mission and synergy as the foundation in creating strategic change. This research uses the literature study method to examine key concepts in Islamic education strategic management and their practical applications. The results show that vision provides an inspiring long-term direction, mission defines the main goals that distinguish the institution, while synergy enables effective coordination between organizational elements to achieve common goals. These three elements, when strategically designed and implemented, are capable of creating significant change that supports institutional transformation. The article also identifies key challenges that Islamic education institutions often face, including resistance to change, lack of coordination and limited resources, and offers strategic solutions to overcome them. By building synergy between vision, mission and implementation strategies, Islamic education institutions can optimize their role in responding to the needs of the times without abandoning their fundamental values. This study is expected to be a reference for Islamic education managers in developing innovative and sustainable strategies.
