Abstract

Bengkulu, which has the motto "Sekundang setungguan seio sekata", is a province with a population of 2,001,578 people, the majority of whom are farmers, planters, laborers and traders. Bengkulu residents are accustomed to living in mutual cooperation as a characteristic of Indonesian society. When the COVID-19 outbreak entered Bengkulu, their spirit of togetherness was immediately summoned. Starting from the Governor to the people in the most remote areas, they obeyed and implemented health protocols. The various limitations they have do not necessarily make them give up. Instead, these limitations became a whip for the people of Bengkulu to continue to suppress the spread of COVID-19. With hard work, Bengkulu has achieved a cure rate of more than 70%. The key to all COVID-19 treatments in Bengkulu is cooperation, communication, and hard work.

Abstract

Fillers, such as “uh” and “uhm,” played a crucial role in spontaneous spoken communication. Despite their importance, research on fillers in debate competitions remained limited, with most studies focusing on classroom contexts. This study addressed this gap by examining the types and functions of fillers used in National School Debating Championships (NSDC) 2023 and 2024, highlighting their pedagogical implications. Using a descriptive qualitative case study approach, it analyzed utterances with fillers from debate finals. The findings revealed that lexicalized fillers, such as repetitive phrases, were used more frequently than unlexicalized fillers. Additionally, fillers served five functions: hesitation, mitigation, time-creating, empathizing, and editing-term devices. These insights underscored the importance of incorporating fillers into English teaching and learning to enhance fluency and confidence. By understanding how to use fillers strategically, students could improve their speaking skills, particularly in high-pressure environments like debates.

Abstract

Education is crucial in shaping and optimizing students' potential to succeed. One sign of educational success is the level of student participation in learning activities, which reflects the level of student involvement and activity in the learning process. This research analyses the influence of assignment methods and social interaction on students' active learning at Islamic Elementary School or Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Darul Ulum Tandes. This research involved 216 MI Darul Ulum Tandes students as a population, with 36 class VI students selected as samples using total sampling. The research results show that the assignment method significantly influences students' active learning. This method provides opportunities for students to apply the concepts learned and encourages their direct involvement in the learning process. Social interactions also have a significant impact, engaging students in communication, collaboration, and emotional connection. This research makes a theoretical contribution by improving understanding the complexity of the relationship between learning methods and social interaction.

Abstract

Forecasting irradiation and temperature is important for designing photovoltaic systems because these two factors have a significant impact on system performance. Irradiation refers to the amount of solar radiation that reaches the earth's surface, and directly affects the amount of energy that can be generated by a photovoltaic system. Therefore, accurate irradiation forecasting is essential for estimating the amount of energy a photovoltaic system can produce, and can assist in determining the appropriate system size, configuration, and orientation to maximize energy output. Temperature also plays an important role in the performance of a photovoltaic system. With increasing temperature, the efficiency of the solar cell decreases, which means that the energy output of the system also decreases. Therefore, accurate temperature forecasts are essential for estimating system energy output, selecting suitable materials, and designing effective cooling systems to prevent overheating. In summary, forecasting irradiation and temperature is important for designing photovoltaic systems as it helps in determining suitable system size, configuration, orientation, material selection, and cooling system, which ultimately results in higher energy output and better system performance. In recent decades, many forecasting models have been built on the idea of fuzzy time series. There are several forecasting models proposed by integrating fuzzy time series with heuristic or evolutionary algorithms such as genetic algorithms, but the results are not satisfactory. To improve forecasting accuracy, a new hybrid forecasting model combines fish swarm optimization algorithm with fuzzy time series. The results of irradiance prediction/forecasting with the smallest error are using the type of Fuzzy Time Series prediction model optimized with FSOA with RMSE is 0.83832.

Abstract

The title of this research is the Effect of Profitability on Corporate Income Tax Payable on Food and Beverage Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2020 period. This study aims to identify the effect of profitability as measured by the ratio of net profit margin (NPM) to corporate income tax payable. The population used is nine food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2016-2020. The method used in this study is quantitative. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from each company's financial statements on the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.IDX.co.id). The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data analysis method was carried out with the help of the IBM SPSS version 25 program using the classical assumption test, simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that profitability (NPM) does not significantly affect corporate income tax

Abstract

In the six years from 2010 to 2015, the peak load in the East Java region increased by an average of 284MW per year. Karangkates Substation is part of an interconnected electrical system that supplies Java Island. To ensure a high level of reliability in its service, it is necessary to prepare for load growth to make sure that it does not exceed its ideal conditions, therefore special analysis of transformer capacity is needed. Using the Holt-Winters (HW) method as a reference for processing the data can be used as a reference in planning and anticipating the growing electricity demand. The results of this study are with the accuracy of the HW method with mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) = 2.645%, while the accuracy of the fuzzy time series (FTS) method = 6.399%. A forecast result done with HW methods shows the transformer at the substation Karangkates reached its normal working capacity in March 2018 at 99.583% of installed capacity and exceeded the maximum capacity in April 2018 at 101.493% of installed capacity.

Abstract

This journal discusses Non-Formal Learning Strategies in Improving the Quality of Learning. Non-formal education is very different from formal education, as is its implementation. For this reason, different strategies are needed in the learning process of non- formal education from formal education. The background to non-formal learning strategies is the need to improve the quality of learning so that it is in line with current developments. Through the implementation of non-formal learning strategies, it is hoped that it can increase students' interest in learning, develop life skills and, ultimately, improve the overall quality of learning. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection carried out in this research came from observations, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this research are the implementation of non-formal learning strategies including learning planning and design, implementation of non-formal learning involving the use of media and technology, evaluation and monitoring are also carried out periodically. challenges and obstacles in non-formal learning, such as limited resources, regulatory and policy constraints, and the role of teachers in non-formal learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi web SmartHR, sebuah Human Resource Information System (HRIS) berbasis HR Schema Oracle, yang dirancang untuk membantu pengelolaan data kepegawaian secara terstruktur, cepat, dan akurat. Aplikasi ini menyediakan fitur pengelolaan data karyawan, seperti biodata dan riwayat pekerjaan. SmartHR dikembangkan menggunakan framework Spring Boot dari Java dan basis data MySQL. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Waterfall, yang mencakup tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, pengkodean, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan untuk memastikan aplikasi berfungsi dengan baik dan bebas dari bug. SmartHR dirancang untuk mengatasi keterbatasan aplikasi sebelumnya, seperti kurangnya aksesibilitas, risiko duplikasi data, dan sulitnya pencarian informasi. Dibandingkan dengan sistem berbasis desktop atau manual, SmartHR memanfaatkan teknologi berbasis web dengan Spring Boot, sehingga memungkinkan akses dari berbagai perangkat tanpa instalasi tambahan, serta menyediakan fitur pengelolaan data yang lebih optimal. Hasil penelitian ini adalah aplikasi SmartHR yang mampu mengelola data karyawan secara terintegrasi dan up-to-date, sekaligus mengurangi risiko human error, duplikasi data, dan kesulitan dalam pencarian data. Dengan demikian, aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi proses manajemen sumber daya manusia di perusahaan.

Abstract

Abstract Ringinrejo Village, Wates District, Blitar Regency is the easternmost area of Blitar Regency. The Village Head's office of Ringinrejo is located at Jl. Basuki Rahmat No. 107, Ringinrejo, Wates District, Blitar Regency. Currently, Ringinrejo Village is striving to develop the village. Because Ringinrejo Village borders directly on the coast, one of the vital focuses of village development is on the coast. The beach in this area is called Jolosutro Beach. This beach is approximately 45 km from the city of Blitar and is famous for its large waves and the potential for dangerous tsunamis. Despite this, many tourists come to vacation on this beach. With the potential for tsunamis, a large number of tourists, and many houses of local residents around the beach, the community service team has investigated the problems at Jolosutro Beach. There are several problems faced in this village, including the lack of good street lighting on the beach, the absence of security cameras to monitor the security of the beach, especially on the beachside, and when the PLN electricity is off, activities that use PLN electricity will be completely shut down, both electricity and surrounding communication facilities. Then, a search for appropriate solutions to help the villagers (beach) was carried out, followed by the creation of a concept and implementation of the solutions that can be applied and the handover of the results of community service. After that, the community service team conducted periodic evaluations and monitoring to determine the usefulness of appropriate technology on the beach. Kantor Kepala desa Ringinrejo terletak di Jl. Basuki Rahmat No. 107, Ringinrejo, Kecamatan Wates, Kabupaten Blitar. Saat ini, Desa Ringinrejo tengah berusaha melakukan pembangunan desa. Karena desa ringinrejo berbatasan langsung dengan pantai maka salah satu fokus pembangunan desa yang vital terdapat pada pantai. Pantai di daerah ini dinamakan dengan pantai jolosutro. Pantai ini berjarak sekitar 45 km dari kota blitar dan terkenal dengan pantai yang ombaknya besar dan memiliki potensi tsunami yang berbahaya. Walaupun demikian banyak wisatawan yang datang untuk berlibur ke pantai ini. Dengan adanya potensi tsunami, jumlah wisatawan yang banyak serta terdapat banyak rumah penduduk sekitar pantai maka tim pengabdian menggali permasalahan di pantai jolosutro. Terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi pada desa ini antara lain di pantai belum memiliki penerangan jalan yang baik, tidak adanya kamera pengaman untuk memonitoring keamanan Pantai terutama ditepi pantai, serta ketika listrik PLN padam maka kegiatan yang menggunakan Listrik PLN akan mati total baik listrik maupun sarana komunikasi sekitar. Lalu dilakukan pencarian solusi tepat guna untuk membantu warga desa (pantai) dan dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan konsep serta implementasi dari solusi yang dapat diterapkan serta serah terima hasil pengabdian. Setelah itu, tim pengabdian melakukan evaluasi dan pemantauan berkala untuk mengetahui kebermanfaatan teknologi tepat guna pada pantai. Abstract

Lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) diharapkan dapat membantu akan pemenuhan tenaga kerja yang terampil dan kompeten dalam bidangnya. Namun data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) menunjukkan bahwa lulusan SMK menjadi penyumbang terbesar dalam angka pengangguran terbuka. Perbedaan antara dunia sekolah dengan dunia kerja menuntut kemampuan adaptasi di dunia kerja yang baik teks akan membantu lulusan SMK dalam menghadapi masa transisi karier serta mampu menemukan pekerjaan yang sesuai bidang keahliannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Learning Goal Orientation (LGO) dan vocational skill terhadap career adaptability di era revolusi industri 4.0. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik proportional random sampling dipilih untuk menetapkan sampel penelitian sejumlah 167 siswa kelas XII SMK Program Keahlian Teknik Instalasi tenaga Listrik (TITL) di Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan LGO Scale, C2 dan C3 Bidang Keahlian TITL, dan Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) sebagai alat ukur. Hasil analisis data penelitian pada variabel LGO (X1), vocational skill (X2), dan career adaptability di era revolusi industri 4.0 (Y) SMK Program Keahlian TITL di Kabupaten Malang menunjukkan bahwa uji regresi secara parsial dan simultan membuktikan terdapat hubungan yang positif antara LGO dan vocational skill terhadap career adaptability di era revolusi industri 4.0 (56,1%) secara signifikan dengan masing-masing koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,512 dan 0,625. Berdasarkan data ini diharapkan sekolah bisa mewujudkan tujuan untuk mempersiapkan lulusannya pada dunia kerja khususnya bidang ketenagalistrikan. Selain itu, siswa diharapkan mampu melakukan kegiatan yang bisa melatih dirinya terkait aspek yang mempengaruhi LGO dan vocational skill sehingga meningkatkan career adaptability siswa sebagai tenaga ahli kelistrikan di era revolusi industri 4.0.
