Abstract

Cassava is an important commodity and has a strategic role for the Indonesian economy, especially for Lampung Province as the main producer. However, prices and provitas that tend to be low, policies are not in favor of farmers, and weak institutions, so the commodity's is low competitiveness. Government intervention in encouraging the competitiveness of a commodity by providing protection to producing farmers is felt to be very effective, especially for cassava commodities. Therefore, this study aims to analyze appropriate strategies and policies in increasing the competitiveness of cassava commodities in Lampung Province. Therefore, strategies and policies are needed to increase the competitiveness of cassava commodities in Lampung Province. The research was conducted in 2020 in Central Lampung and East Lampung Regencies with a total of 120 farmers as respondents. This research uses policy matrix analysis or PAM analysis and qualitative descriptive. The results showed that cassava has comparative and competitive advantages even though it is low. Therefore, the best policy is needed to increase the competitiveness of cassava commodities. The policy in order to increase the competitiveness of cassava in Lampung Province can be done by increasing output by 20% even though the cost of fertilizer increases by 20%. Some of these policies and strategies can have an impact on production cost efficiency, improve the quality of cassava, increase the quantity of cassava, and increase the income of cassava farmers. Abstract

The selling price of cassava is still a major problem that always arises from year to year.  Low selling prices below cassava production costs cause losses for farmers.  This research aims to analyze the cost of production (HPP) of cassava and its relationship with cassava production factors in Lampung province.  This research was conducted in Lampung Province using a survey method with a total of 210 cassava farmers consisting of cassava farmers in East Lampung, Central Lampung and West Tulang Bawang Regencies.  These three areas were chosen because they are cassava production centers in Lampung Province.  The analysis used for the cost of production uses the full costing and variable costing methods, apart from that the analysis of the relationship to production factors is analyzed using multiple linear regression using the ordinary least squares (OLS) method.  The amount of profit or loss borne by farmers is analyzed using R/C or the comparison of total revenue obtained with total costs incurred.  Based on the results of the study, it was found that the variable costing HPP for cassava was IDR 453/kg and the full costing HPP was IDR 698/kg.  Income from cash costs of cassava farming per hectare is IDR 7,410,379.11/ha and income from total costs is IDR 1,711,995.55/ha with an R/C value for cash costs of 2.06 and R/C for total costs of 1.03, which means that cassava farming in Lampung Province is profitable to cultivate.  Apart from that, production factors that are significantly related to the cost of production are land area and seed prices.  Both have a positive influence on the Ubikayu HPP in Lampung Province. keywords: Full Costing,Production Factors, Profit

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the behavior of consumers of pasteurized goat milk from Telaga Rizqy 21 livestock products.  The method used was survey method.  The number of respondents in this research was 60 consumers of pasteurized goat milk.  Data collection was conducted from November 2023 to January 2024, and analyzed by using quantitative descriptive method, employed Multiattributes Fishbein's, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), loyalty pyramid, and Spearman Rank.  The results show that consumers motivation in buying the milk product is due to the benefit of the product. The consumers get information from their friend related to the location where to get the product.  The main consideration of purchasing is the flavour variants. This research evaluates that an alternative when the product runs out is to buy another brand elsewhere. Purchase decisions are influenced by friends with planned purchases.  Based on study, all consumers are interested in making repeat order, with satisfied consumers reach 78.33 percent. The results of the analysis of consumer attitudes towards pasteurized goat milk are in a good category.  The level of consumer satisfaction in the satisfied category with the highest attribution score is the flavor variant.  The level of consumer loyalty based on the consumer loyalty pyramid analysis test tends to be unloyalty because the percentage of committed buyers is smaller than the value of switcher buyers. It is also found that there is a significant relationship between age income and consumer attitudes. Key words:attitude, decision making, goat milk, loyalty, satisfaction

Abstract

North Lampung Regency currently has a North Lampung Regency RTRW for 2014-2034, apart from that, North Lampung Regency has also prepared a medium-term development plan in the form of an RPJMD document and an annual short-term one in the form of an RKPD document. The mandate of Law Number 26 of 2007 concerning Spatial Planning as amended by Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning the Determination of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation into Law states that spatial planning plans must be able to act as direction. regional development. Synchronization of spatial plans with regional development plans ensures the implementation of regional development well. However, synchronizing space utilization programs in regional spatial plans with development plans has problems in North Lampung Regency. Therefore, the aim of this research is to evaluate the synchronization of the North Lampung Regency RTRW medium-term space utilization program with the North Lampung Regency RPJMD in 2020-2024 and evaluate the synchronization of the North Lampung Regency RTRW short-term space utilization program with the North Lampung Regency RKPD in 2020-2024. The research method uses quantitative descriptive analysis with secondary data from planning documents in the North Lampung Regency Government. The research results show that the synchronization of the medium-term space utilization program (RTRW-RPJMD) is still not optimal, with low levels of synchronization dominating. This is caused by a lack of socialization and involvement of implementing agencies in the preparation of spatial planning and development documents. Furthermore, at the short-term level (RTRW-RKPD), the level of synchronization is also relatively low. Several factors that are obstacles include inadequate planning, budget limitations, lack of community proposals, land availability, and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure and shifts in the economy of the livestock subsector in South Lampung Regency to identify base and prospective commodities, concentrated and distinctive commodities, fast-growing and highly competitive commodities, and those with the highest economic shifts, collectively referred to as leading commodities. The data used are secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Department of Livestock and Animal Health of South Lampung Regency. The commodities analyzed include 12 types of livestock distributed across 17 sub-districts, with a total of 204 observation units. The analytical methods used include Location Quotient (LQ) and Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) to identify base and prospective commodities; Localization Index (LI) and Specialization Index (SI) to assess commodity concentration and distinctiveness; and Shift Share Analysis (SSA) to measure growth, competitiveness, and net shifts. Quadrant classification at each stage was performed using the Klassen Typology. The results indicate that 61 observation units of commodity-subdistricts are classified as base and prospective commodities, and 10 of these also meet the criteria for concentration, distinctiveness, rapid growth, and high competitiveness. The commodity with the highest net shift value is broiler chickens in Tanjung Sari Sub-district, making it a leading commodity in South Lampung’s livestock subsector.

Abstract

High demand for cassava in domestic and international markets has raised concerns related to the long-term sustainability of cassava agribusiness. The multifaceted character of sustainability demonstrates the interconnected sustainability across multiple dimensions. This study aims to assess the sustainability index and condition of cassava agribusiness in Lampung Province across various dimensions (economic, sociocultural, technical and technological, institutional, and environmental) and to develop a strategy for cassava agribusiness sustainability to ensure food security. A total of 66 farmer respondents from the two villages were interviewed. Furthermore, FGDs were conducted with traders, local government officials, and factory responders. This research utilized the multi-aspect sustainability analysis (MSA) technique to assess the sustainability status across multiple dimensions. This research concluded that the sustainability status of cassava agribusiness in Lampung Province was less sustainable. This score pertained to economic, technical and technological, and institutional aspects. Meanwhile, social culture and environmental aspects stood in the sustainability category, demonstrating the susceptibility of cassava agribusiness to potential business instability. Cassava agribusiness in Lampung necessitated strategies primarily addressing economic, technical, and technological aspects, along with the establishment of efficient and appropriate institutions to enhance the sustainability of cassava agribusiness in Lampung Province and to ensure food security.
