Abstract

Guided inquiry module is one of alternative to improve students’ science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes. The aim of this research was to produce guided inquiry module in animal reproductive system material as well as improving student science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes. The research used ADDIE development model which consists of the following stages: analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluation. The research instruments for collecting the data included material and media expert validation sheets, field practitioner questionnaire, module practicality questionnaire, pretest and posttest question sheets (used to measure science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes). The data analysis technique used were quantitative and qualitative descriptions as well as quade's rank analysis of covariance. The results of content and media expert validations were 94.84%  and 92.43%  respectively. In addition, the field practitioner response reached 95.7% and the module practicality value was 91.3%. Furthermore, the module has significantly improved students’ science process skills [F(1,78) = 42.509, p < 0.05] and  cognitive learning outcome  [F(1,78) = 7.480, p < 0.05]. Hence, the module is recommended to be implemented in delivering animal reproductive system.

Abstract

It was previously found that students have low in learning collaboration, which is the learning process has not facilitated them to develop their skills. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of project-based learning (PjBL), Predict-Observe-Explain (POE), and Predict-Observe-Explain based Project (POEP) on student collaboration skills in Biology education. The pretest-posttest non-equivalent control design was used and it involved 144 tenth grade students from Tarakan, Indonesia. This research was conducted from August to December 2020, while observation sheets was used to assess the student collaborations skills. The instrument used is the student collaboration skill observation sheet refers to Greenstein, 2012. The collaboration skills observation sheet has a score of 1-4 from each aspect. The aspects used are working productively, showing respect, compromise, and responsibility. Data collection in this study was carried out using WhatsApp, and Google Classroom as learning platform. The results of the analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) showed that PjBL, POE, and POEP affected their collaboration skills (p < 0.005). The LSD test result showed that PjBL, POEP, POE, and conventional learning models were significantly different in improving the skills. The POEP class had the highest posttest score, hence it can be used to improve student collaboration skills. This research contributes to providing a learning experience that empowers students' online collaboration skills.

Abstract

Abstract. The study aims to determine the most preferred e-service quality attribute chosen by customers and classify customers based on their preferences andsociodemographic characteristics in Malang city. This research used quantitativeapproach with descriptive research. The research objects were 105 respondents ofinstagram online shop customers in Malang selected using quota sampling method. Theanalysis methods used were cluster and conjoint analysis. The results showed thatInstagram online shop customers in Malang were classified into 2 segments; the firstsegment (adults) was college students and employees above 20 years of age with IDR2.5 – 5 million incomes per month. Meanwhile, the second segment (teenagers) washigh school and college students under 20 years of age with less than IDR 1 million permonth revenue. Both segments prioritized fulfillment (product shipments) when theywould like to shop in instagram. The least e-service quality attribute considered bycustomer was efficiency (information efficiency).

Abstract

The objective of this research describes the method of lecturers to teach problem-solving skills. Problem-solving skills is one of the skills needed in the 21st-century learning. Generally, Islamic boarding schools tend to use classic methods such as recitation, Bandongan, Sorogan. The study is survey research. It is a case study at the Islamic boarding school of Jagad ‘Alimussirry in the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. Students live in Islamic boarding schools every day. The data were obtained through questionnaires and observations. Questionnaires were consisting of 12 items with a statement of Rosenberg's self-esteem scale. It’s given to the 46 students and five lecturers after learning. The respondents were randomly chosen. The study also conducted observations at the time of learning in 5 courses. Two observers made the observations. The results showed that the problem-solving skills had been taught with a "good enough" category. The learning method is discussion, exercise, and modeling. It is done with 5 phases of problem-solving. The findings are three methods to teach problem-solving skills in the Islamic boarding school. It is a discussion, exercise, and modeling with five problem-solving phases and six learning schemes. Therefore, this study can be used as consideration for education practitioners on how to teach problem-solving skills in Islamic boarding schools. Indonesia has 28 thousand Islamic boarding schools. In addition, this becomes a frequent correction to repair the learning of problem skills in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a learning package covering a topic on cells and tissues on the basis of guided-inquiry learning model and integration of local knowledge. The package manifests in a syllabus, lesson plans, and a module. The developmental model proposed by Dick and Carey (2009) was employed and adapted in the study. The instructional testing was carried out through three stages, namely, expert appraisal, small group test and main field test. The results of the study showed that the research produced a learning package with high validity, practicality, and efficacy. It was evidenced by the results of expert validation and developmental testing that reached 88.42% indicating high validity. With regard to its efficacy and utility in Biology learning, the gain score reached 0.78 attesting its merits. Key Words: learning package, cells, and tissues, guided-inquiry, local potential Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran materi sel dan jaringan dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis potensi lokal dengan hasil berupa silabus, RPP, dan modul. Model pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini diadaptasi dari model pengambangan Dick and Carey (2009. Uji coba dilakukan tiga tahap yaitu (1) uji coba/validasi ahli; (2) uji coba (keterbacaan) kelompok kecil; dan (3) uji coba lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran materi sel dan jaringan yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kualitas sangat valid, praktis, dan memiliki tingkat keefektifan tinggi. Hasil yang didapatkan dari uji validasi/ahli dan uji coba diperoleh nilai lebih dari 88,42% yang menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran sangat valid untuk digunakan dan gain score dari tes hasil belajar diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,78 yang berarti bahwa perangkat pembelajaran telah efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the influence of RICOSRE (Reading, Identfying problem, Constructing Solution, Solving Problem, Reviewing Problem Solving, and Extending Problem Solving) learning model toward X grade students’ Biology problem solving in two high school. This type of research is quasi experiment research. The sample used is the students in three classes each schools that is determined by cluster random sampling. The research data collected by pretest and posttest score. Data analysis using two way ancova and then continued with LSD 5%. The research result indicate RICOSRE learning model significantly influenced the X grade students’ problem solving with a corrected average of problem solving achievement is 87,83%.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RICOSRE (Reading, Identfying problem, Constructing Solution, Solving Problem,Reviewing Problem Solving, and Extending Problem Solving) terhadap keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa Kelas X MIPA di dua SMA. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan ialah siswa pada masing-masing tiga kelas di setiap sekolah yang ditentukan secara cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji two way ancova kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut LSD 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran RICOSRE terhadap keterampilan memecah-kan masalah siswa. Siswa mengalami peningkatan keterampilan memecahkan masalah sebesar 87,83%.

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to analyze the potential of the RICOSRE learning model in improving students' scientific reasoning abilities on different academic abilities. This research is a quasi-experimental research. SMAN 1 Malang and SMAN 7 Malang became a place of research with a sample of 188 students. The research design is Noneqivalent pretest - posttest control desaign group. Research data in the form of the acquisition of essay test scores. Essay test results were analyzed using anacova. Based on the research result it is proved that there is a potential of the RICOSRE on students' scientific reasoning abilities on different academic abilities.Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi model pembelajaran RICOSRE dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa dengan kemampuan akademik berbeda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi-eksperimien. SMAN 1 Malang dan SMAN 7 Malang menjadi tempat penelitian dengan jumlah 188 siswa sebagai sampel. Data penelitian berupa perolehan skor tes esai. Hasil tes esai dianalisis menggunakan anakova. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui adanya potensi model pembelajaran RICOSRE terhadap kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa pada kemampuan akademik berbeda.

Abstract

Abstract: Problem-solving skills in the field of Biology have an important role in representing problems, finding relationships, making predictions, and verifying or checking solutions. This study aims to implement an augmented reality-assisted problem-based learning e-module on bioindicator materials to improve problem-solving skills. The research method used is a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design involving 29 biology students at the State University of Malang for the 2020/2021 academic year. Paired T-Test results show that the e-module has a significant effect on improving students' problem-solving skills.Abstrak: Keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada bidang Biologi memiliki peran penting dalam merepresentasikan masalah, mencari hubungan, membuat prediksi, dan memverifikasi atau memeriksa solusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas e-module pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan augmented reality melalui implementasi dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design dengan melibatkan 29 mahasiswa biologi Universitas Negeri Malang tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Hasil uji T berpasangan menunjukkan implementasi e-module berpengaruh secara signifikan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa.

Abstract

Abstract: Textbooks are one of the printed materials, arranged efficiently and effectively to support condusive learning in a particular subject. The aim of this research & development’s to produce the effective, valid and practical ecology textbooks based on Problem Based Learning. This textbook for ecology subject, refers to the ADDIE development model. The validation results from the three experts showed very positive results, from the subject expert obtained score are 98,33 (very valid); 100 (very valid) score of subject practitioner; score of 98,75 (very valid) from media expert. Based on the result, this product’s very propered and can be used in the ecology learning process in higher education.Abstrak: Buku ajar ialah salah satu bahan ajar yang berbentuk cetak, disusun secara efisien dan efektif untuk menunjang suatu materi pembelajaran pada matakuliah tertentu. Tujuan dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini ialah menghasilkan buku ajar ekologi berbasis Problem Based Learning yang efektif, valid, dan praktis. Buku ajar untuk matakuliah Ekologi ini mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil validasi dari ketiga ahli menunjukkan hasil sangat positif, dari ahli materi memperoleh skor sebesar 98,33 (sangat valid); perolehan skor validasi dari praktisi lapangan sebesar 100 (sangat valid); dari validator ahli media sebesar 98,75 (sangat valid). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, kesimpulannya bahwa buku ajar ekologi berbasis Problem Based Learning ini sangat layak dan dapat digunakan dalam KBM ekologi pada jenjang perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Abstract: The study was conducted to produce a guided inquiry learning model on ecosystem material and environment pollution aided by handout based on the local potential of mangrove forest Pantai Duta to improve critical thinking skills and environmental awareness. The type of research is development research with reference to the ADDIE development model. The research sample of 64 students of 7th class SMPN 2 Paiton. Research data collection using validation sheets, questions about critical thinking skills, and questionnaires. The result of the study state that the guided inquiry learning tool is valid and practical, and can improve critical thinking skills and environmental care attitudes.Abstrak: Penelitian dilakukan untuk menghasillkan perangkat pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing materi ekosistem dan pencemaran lingkungan berbantuan handout berbasis potensi lokal hutan mangrove Pantai Duta untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap peduli lingkungan. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 64 siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Paiton. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan lembar validasi, soal kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing valid dan praktis, serta dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap peduli lingkungan.
