Abstract

The disruption era presents a challenge for schools in the form of educational graduate standards in comparison to industry and the workforce. The government responded by instituting a policy of vocational schools to produce superior human resources. The adaptive strategy implemented is one of long-term quality improvement through the measurement of organizational performance using benchmarking models. The study aims to analyze the effectiveness of benchmarking techniques in improving educational services in Public Vocational High School. The research is qualitative in nature, employing case study techniques. The veracity of the data is checked using sources of principals, school public relation, and senior teacher. Data triangulation techniques and peer discussion were used to examining the data. The study's findings demonstrate technical benchmarking implementation through planning, analysis, integration, implementation, and maturity is known as institutionalist benchmarking. Benchmarking strategies for sustainable organizations are implemented concurrently through vision adaptation, mission and objectives toward strategic environments; benchmarking targeting focus determination, and goal determination through the fabric of school superior partnerships. Adaptation of the benchmarking outcomes program results in actualizing educational information system management, peer tutoring techniques, optimization of research activities, and strengthening internal supervision. In addition, interviews are the only method used to collect data for this study. Therefore, future research will investigate the school institution of others in Indonesia, particularly the development of vocational schools that have already integrated science and skill competencies.

Abstract

Teachers' abilities influence the effectiveness of learning, but their performance could be better, reducing the quality of schools. The 2015-2021 Teacher Professional Test showed that 81% of teachers still needed to achieve the minimum score. The poor performance of supervisors due to their small number also exacerbates the problem. Improving the quality of supervision through altruistic leadership, motivation, professionalism, and work culture is crucial to improving the quality of education in Indonesia. This study investigates whether there is a relationship between altruistic leadership and achievement motivation on the performance of supervisors of North Aceh District Ibtidayah Madrasahs. This study used a mixed method sequential explanatory approach with a Path Analysis research model with an associative research type. Data were collected through questionnaires from 150 respondents in 14 A accredited Madrasah Ibtidayah. This study found that 1) altruistic leadership on supervisor performance (original sample) is 0.630, which means there is a positive influence between the two variables. Then, the resulting t-count value is 7.185, which means that these results are said to be significant because the t-count value is greater than the t-table (7.185> 1.96), or it can be said that the hypothesis is accepted. 2) the effect of achievement motivation variables on supervisor performance (original sample) is 2.224, which means there is a positive influence between the two variables. Then, the resulting t-count value is 2.511, which means that these results are said to be significant because the t-count value is greater than the t-table (2.511> 1.96), or it can be said that the hypothesis is accepted. This study concludes that a significant relationship exists between altruistic leadership and improving supervisors' performance, and achievement motivation has a positive influence. A significant relationship exists between improving supervisors' performance in North Aceh Regency. Kemampuan guru mempengaruhi efektivitas pembelajaran, tetapi kinerja mereka bisa lebih baik, sehingga mengurangi kualitas sekolah. Uji Profesi Guru tahun 2015-2021 menunjukkan bahwa 81% guru masih perlu mencapai nilai minimum. Kinerja pengawas yang buruk karena jumlah mereka yang sedikit juga memperparah masalah ini. Meningkatkan kualitas pengawasan melalui kepemimpinan altruistik, motivasi, profesionalisme, dan budaya kerja sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menyelidiki apakah ada hubungan antara kepemimpinan altruistik dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja pengawas Madrasah Ibtidayah Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksplanatori sekuensial metode campuran dengan model penelitian Analisis Jalur (Path Analysis) dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dari 150 responden di 14 Madrasah Ibtidayah yang terakreditasi A. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksplanatori sekuensial metode campuran dengan model penelitian Path Analysis dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif. Kemudian, nilai t-hitung yang dihasilkan sebesar 7,185, yang berarti hasil tersebut dikatakan signifikan karena nilai t-hitung lebih besar dari t-tabel (7,185 > 1,96), atau dapat dikatakan hipotesis diterima. 2) pengaruh variabel motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja supervisor (original sample) sebesar 2,224 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh positif antara kedua variabel tersebut. Kemudian, nilai t-hitung yang dihasilkan sebesar 2,511 yang berarti hasil tersebut dikatakan signifikan karena nilai t-hitung lebih besar dari t-tabel (2,511 > 1,96), atau dapat dikatakan hipotesis diterima. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepemimpinan altruistik dengan peningkatan kinerja supervisor, dan motivasi berprestasi memiliki pengaruh yang positif. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara peningkatan kinerja pengawas di Kabupaten Aceh Utara.

Abstract

Studi ini memiliki fokus pembahasan tentang bagaimana konsep dasar komunikasi interpersonal di pesantren yang relevan dengan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional. Studi ini juga menganalisis apa sajakah kelebihan dan kelemahan komunikasi interpersonal dalam mengatasi konflik organisasi di pesantren sehingga mampu meningkatkan efektivitas organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi survei. Penelitian dilakukan pada Pesantren Al-Mujaddid Kota Sabang Aceh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara mendalam. Validitas data diukur dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) kualifikasi pimpinan pesantren mencangkup figurehead, leader role dan liaison role memungkinkan dibentuknya sistem komunikasi yang efektif; (2) Gaya kepemimpinan yang dipraktekan adalah kepemimpinan transformasional sangat relevan dengan praktek komunikasi interpersonal; (3) Komunikasi interpersonal menjadi azas fundamental dalam resolusi konflik organisasi dan mampu meningkatkan peran kehumasan lembaga; (4) kepemimpinan dan komunikasi secara integrative mampu meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan di pesantren. Implikasi yang diharapkan pada dasarnya pilar-pilar pesantren sebagai organisasi efektif bertujuan dalam memberikan wawasan pengetahuan yang utuh tentang kedudukan, tugas, peran dan fungsi pesantren sebagai agen pembaharuan, pelayanan, peningkatkan mutu manusia sebagai bagian integral dari masyarakat secara keseluruhan

Abstract

Every organization is basically a kind of control system. An irregular organizational system will have a negative impact and lack of control over the performance of the members of the organization. The organizational system also plays a significant role in creating a conducive atmosphere in the school environment. An effective and structured organizational system will provide boundaries and positive direction in the organization. This research is a quantitative research with survey method. From the results of this study it was found that the organizational system significantly influenced the work motivation of teachers in state vocational high schools Jambi Province. Based on the calculation results obtained by the analysis of the value thitung (9,0)> ttabel (1,969), until H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the organizational system that is run and maintained within a school organization will be able to provide a significant influence on teacher work motivation. The research implications of these findings explain that the better the organizational system built in this school the better the effect will be on increasing teacher work motivation.

Abstract

This empirical study observed the effects of organizational climate and transformative leadership on teacher’s performance of Sholahuddin Gayo Lues Islamic Boarding School. This study used quantitative approach using survey method. The data collection technique used questionnaires with likert scale. These research samples are all population so it can be said to be the population research. Descriptive statistic and regression analysis were used to describe variation in organizational climate transformative leadership and teacher performance. Through statistic hypothesis calculation, results of the research show that organizational climate and transformative leadership have great effects on the teacher performance.

Abstract

The research aims to understand the significance of the influence of charismatic leadership and organizational culture on the pesantren education system. Additionally, the study analyzes other determinant factors affecting the education system in pesantren. The research employs a mixed methods approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative methods. This combination method utilizes a sequential explanatory type, where the initial phase involves a quantitative research method, which is then reinforced with a qualitative method. The study population consists of all teachers at the Ulumuddin pesantren in the city of Lhokseumawe, totaling 45 teachers. The sampling technique used is quota sampling. Data for the study was collected through questionnaires, structured interviews, and documentation. The results of this research show that charismatic leadership directly influences organizational culture, with a t-statistic value of 3.604 > t-table of 2.016, as determined by the pesantren education system. Meanwhile, the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, or the level of significance is lower than the probability level, indicates there is a positive and significant influence between charismatic leadership and the pesantren education system through organizational culture at the Ulumuddin Pondok Pesantren in Lhokseumawe city.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how educational institution managers encounter challenges in managing learning organization values and the reasons for these challenges. This qualitative case study aimed to apply knowledge of educational institutions and organizational development by implementing an integrated educational management design process and a learning organization. The investigation was conducted at the Sukma Bangsa School in Lhokseumawe. The case study method was used in this qualitative study, with analysis focused on the integrative design of organizational development in the context of educational management and learning organizations. A culture of strict discipline is deeply ingrained in both the fluidity of the fast-paced workplace and academic achievements. The findings of this study outline the following technical steps involved in the implementation of a learning school program: (1) the effectiveness of the leadership; (2) an understanding of the situation and the formulation of policies; (3) an alignment of the organizational structure and the logic of the program; (4) the prioritization of activities; (5) work that is both practical and reflective; (6) the development of organizational learning capabilities; and (7) the integration of organizational learning capabilities. In a nutshell, the findings indicate that implementing the concept of a learning organization ensures the organization's continued viability and the improvement of its educational offerings. The principles outline how research on the design, implementation, and evaluation of organizational interventions can be conducted to maximize the impact of those interventions in both the real world and the scientific community.

Abstract

In the current era of the new normal, substantial transformations are unfolding within the education sector. E-learning has emerged as a prevalent alternative for augmenting individual proficiencies and abilities. Madrasahs have transcended the confines of scientific dichotomy, instead embracing innovation and change. The online learning process, when effectively implemented, significantly impacts student quality improvement. This research aims to comprehensively analyze the dynamics of online learning, thereby discovering an online learning model in madrasas. The study is qualitative, using library analysis techniques. Data sources are derived from the results of scientific journal research or primary books. The study results identify various online learning modalities, namely (1) the contribution and significance of leadership roles in policy and building a culture that supports the learning process; (2) the enhancement of teacher and manager professionalism, specifically emphasizing technical skills (cognitive-practical); (3) the implementation of continuous monitoring and evaluation of the program's success, as well as a means of feedback on the direction of online learning. The research results also reveal that resource availability, teacher readiness, self-confidence, student accessibility, and motivation play essential roles in learning integrated with information technology.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Islamic Education Management Study Program (IEMSP) by implementing a tracer study involving its alums. The tracer study, a survey technique employed by higher education institutions, significantly enhances educational quality and program development. The research methodology is a mixed-method sequential exploratory approach with a concurrent embedded design, integrating qualitative and quantitative data. The primary focus is on qualitative data, complemented by quantitative data, gathered through interviews, participative observations, documentation studies, and the distribution of questionnaires to IEMSP alumni. The findings indicate that most IEMSP alumni successfully enter the workforce, demonstrating the effectiveness of the program's job placement efforts. The time required to secure the first job is generally short, with job roles predominantly in administrative and educational fields. These findings provide a solid basis for recommending curriculum updates, enhancements to career services, and strengthening partnerships with industries. The conclusion drawn from this research is that the program positively impacts the preparation of graduates for the workforce. The tracer study provides essential information for adjusting the curriculum to meet industry needs, introducing responsive teaching methods, and developing additional programs to enhance graduates' skills. The relevance of the tracer study results reflects the commitment of the Islamic Education Management Program to remain aligned with current developments, ensuring that graduates possess relevant knowledge and skills. Strategies such as field experience programs, industry partnerships, mentoring, and additional skills development are employed to improve alum absorption into the workforce. Continuous evaluation and improvement are undertaken to ensure the effectiveness of these strategies.

Abstract

Some Islamic Boarding Schools (Pesantren) have integrated school education into its education system to generate excellent Muslims in science and technology. However, in practice, pesantren usually consider the school education as the second. Due to that, the santris are less motivated to learn science and technology, then results in them being unqualified. Responding to this problem, the government of Indonesia has made a policy to implement school education in pesantren, known as the pesantren-based junior high schools program (SMP-BP). This study examines the strategy of pesantren in managing junior high schools and explains the approach to adopting the SMP-BP. Our exploration utilizes a qualitative research design with a survey approach. Data were collected and analyzed using an analytical approach. The results showed that the SMP-BP program was carried out through problem analysis and strategic management. Problem analysis comprises human resources problems (santris and teachers) and evaluation methods. Furthermore, strategic management consists of: (1) curriculum development and integrated learning, (2) governance policy, (3) human recourses, (4) infrastructure and facilities, (5) finance, and (6) educational output. Our finding confirms that pesantren has changed its system to implement the SMP-BP program without any conflicts. This study can assist educational practitioners in their efforts to improve the quality of Islamic education in science and technology.
