Abstract

Early childhood education plays a crucial role in shaping the foundation of children's development, making the quality of teacher performance a key factor in achieving optimal educational goals. Various factors can influence teacher performance, including the leadership style implemented by school leaders, the level of job satisfaction experienced by teachers, and the intrinsic motivation that drives them in carrying out their duties. This study aims to analyze the influence of servant leadership, job satisfaction, and intrinsic motivation on the performance of Aisyiyah kindergarten teachers in Banguntapan District. The research method employed is quantitative with a survey approach. The research sample consists of 37 teachers selected using a cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression to determine the extent to which the independent variables influence the dependent variable. The results indicate that servant leadership, job satisfaction, and intrinsic motivation have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, both simultaneously and partially, with a significance value of p < 0.05. The implications of this study suggest that supportive leadership, high job satisfaction, and strong intrinsic motivation can enhance teacher performance in Aisyiyah kindergartens. Therefore, schools are advised to strengthen servant leadership strategies and create a conducive work environment to improve the quality of early childhood education.

Abstract

Unggulan Aisyiyah Primary School, as a flagship Sekolah Penggerak in Bantul Regency, has consistently implemented differentiated instruction within the Merdeka Curriculum. However, while previous studies have widely examined differentiated instruction as a teaching strategy, limited research has focused on how it is managed systematically to foster student well-being in primary schools. This study addresses this gap by asking: How is differentiated instruction managed to enhance student well-being in a primary school context? The objective is to formulate a contextual management model that supports students’ cognitive, social, and emotional well-being. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, involving interviews with the principal, the vice principal for curriculum, two fourth-grade teachers, and two students, complemented by classroom observations and document analysis. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis procedures, including coding, theme development, and interpretation. The findings reveal that differentiated instruction management aligns with Tomlinson’s framework and encompasses four components: planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision. Planning involves identifying student needs and collaborative module preparation through team teaching. Organizing focuses on flexible grouping and creating a positive learning environment. Implementation uses multi-method and multi-source instructional strategies tailored to student profiles. Supervision is conducted through coaching, counseling, and mentoring to ensure continuous improvement. This model highlights that effective differentiated instruction management can enhance student engagement, social interaction, and emotional security, thus strengthening student well-being. Strengthening implementation requires practical guidelines, sustained mentoring, time management, and collaboration with psychological support professionals.

Abstract

The implementation of deep learning has become a strategic priority for improving the quality of teaching and learning. The success of deep learning implementation is strongly influenced by the readiness of school principals as instructional leaders. This study aims to describe school principals’ readiness to implement deep learning program using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that principals’ readiness is reflected in four core deep learning frameworks: pedagogical practices, learning environment, learning partnerships, and the use of digital technology. Principals demonstrate readiness through a clear understanding of deep learning concepts, support for teachers’ instructional innovation, the creation of collaborative learning environments, the strengthening of partnerships with parents and communities, and the integration of digital technology to support learning. However, challenges remain, particularly limited teachers’ digital competencies and insufficient cross-stakeholder collaboration. Principals’ readiness plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of deep learning and requires policy support, continuous professional development, and a strong learning ecosystem.
