Abstract

Investment decisions in Islamic Crowdfunding have many determinants, including: project quality, creator abilities, social network creators, reputation and entrepreneur experiences. This study examines the influence of significant and insignificant determinants of investment in Islamic Crowdfunding. It uses a random sampling technique with Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (PLS) as the analysis model. The results show that social creators and entrepreneur experiences have a significant effect on investment in Islamic Crowdfunding. Contrastingly, project quality, creator ability, and reputation have insignificant influences. Entrepreneur experiences and reputation of the platform have dominant and least influence on investment in Islamic crowdfunding, respectively. Creator’s ability has a dominant-negative effect on Islamic Crowdfunding, and therefore, it requires special attention. The sharia values contained in all investment determinants are the primary consideration by investors. Therefore, increasingly inevitable sharia compliance is a necessity from time to time.

Abstract

Zakah is one of the five pillars of Islam. Compared to the other pillars, Zakah intersects with most the human dimensions: spiritual, individual, social, economic, and is quantifiable. Zakah also fulfills all of the aspect of the Maqas}id al-Shari‘ah that preserves public interests (maslahah). This paper argues that the lack of full observance of the objectives of the obligation in performing Zakah, which is intended to increase the welfare/wellbeing of the society, makes Islamic Economics as a discipline completely ineffective and inefficient in performing its essential characteristics in fulfilling the Maqas}id al-Shari‘ah. The expected outcome of this study is Zakah Index that will represents the monitoring of Zakah payment in Islamic or Muslim populated country, hence providing academics, students, society, and policy maker in Islamic or Muslim populated country an alternative measurement of economic progress, instead of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The method used in the conceptualization of the Index and its derivatives are content analysis and conventional literature. Finally, Zakah Index is intended to be as an Islamic Economics tool to measure not only the welfare/wellbeing of Islamic Society, but also its religious (spiritual). On the last part of the paper, the Zakah Index Model then is applied to the East Java province. Zakah adalah salah satu rukun Islam. Dibandingkan dengan pilar yang lain, zakah bersinggungan dengan hampir seluruh dimensi manusia: spiritual, individual, sosial, ekonomi dan ia dapat diukur. Selain itu, zakah juga memenuhi seluruh aspek Maqas}id al-Shari‘ah yang bertujuan melindungi kepentingan umum (maslahah). Paper ini didasarkan pandangan bahwa minimnya pengawasan kewajiban pembayaran zakah, yang ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, menjadikan Ilmu Ekonomi Islam sebagai disiplin tidak efektif dan efisien dalam menjalankan karakteristik utamanya untuk memenuhi tujuan Shariah. Luaran dari studi ini adalah Indeks Zakah yang akan merepresentasi pengawasan pembayaran Zakah di Negara Islam atau masyarakat mayoritas muslim, yang dengan demikian menyediakan alternatif pengukuran kemajuan ekonomi bagi pemerintah, akademisi, dan masyarakat daripada menggunakan Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB). Metode penyusunan konsep indeks ini dengan berbagai derivasinya adalah content analysis dan metode induktif yang meliputi literatur Islam dan konvensional. Akhirnya, Indeks Zakah ini dimaksudkan menjadi “tool” Ilmu Ekonomi Islam untuk mengukur tidak hanya kesejahteraan masyarakat muslim, namun juga aspek religiusitasnya. Pada bagian akhir paper ini, model Indeks Zakah ini dipalikasikan di Provinsi Jawa Timur.

Abstract

One of the main factors making up the basis of civilization or Madani society or civil society, which is also part of the social capital, is the confidence (trust) both horizontally and verticallyamong individuals between individuals and institutions so as to create an effective partnership. Islamic Economics is an economic system based on Islamic principles. Inside there is a contract ofMudharabah contract based on the belief that investors give full trust to capital manager with the agreement of the losses in the initial contract. In this study concluded that the higher the level of consumption in society Mudharabah contract is higher level then the level of civilization of society. This is because Mudharabah is directly proportional to the level of public confidence. This study uses library research both from the perspective of historical and economic, using critical-descriptive.

Abstract

This quantitative research study aimed to explore the impact of workload, compensation, and motivation on the performance of employees in the food industry. The research was conducted using a sample size of 100 employees from a cooking seasoning company in Sidoarjo, Indonesia. Data was collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS. The findings revealed that workload, compensation, and motivation had significant individual effects on employee performance. Furthermore, when considered together, these factors exhibited a collective influence on employee performance. This research provides valuable insights into enhancing employee performance within the context of the food industry, emphasizing the importance of managing workload, offering competitive compensation, and fostering motivation. The results have implications for both scholars and practitioners in terms of optimizing organizational performance and employee well-being. Highlights: The study examines the influence of workload, compensation, and motivation on employee performance. The research employs a quantitative approach and utilizes a sample size of 100 employees. Findings indicate that workload, compensation, and motivation individually and collectively impact employee performance. Abstract

This qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach aims to explore the views of Management Study Program students at UMSIDA university regarding the ease and benefits of Shopee and Tokopedia e-commerce platforms. Through interviews with 100 students, including 7 informants who were users of both platforms, the research findings indicate that both Shopee and Tokopedia are highly regarded as online shopping sites. Students, being millennials, prioritize convenience and value the extensive product range offered by these platforms. However, the preference of UMSIDA Management Study Program students leans towards Shopee due to perceived affordability and a wider product selection. The implications of this study highlight the significance of user-friendly e-commerce platforms that cater to the needs and preferences of students, thus enabling easy access to online shopping anytime and anywhere. Highlights: Ease and benefits of Shopee and Tokopedia: The research explores the views of Management Study Program students at UMSIDA regarding the convenience and advantages offered by both Shopee and Tokopedia e-commerce platforms. Comparative analysis: The study provides a comparative analysis of Shopee and Tokopedia, highlighting the preferences and opinions of UMSIDA students. It sheds light on factors such as product availability, pricing, and overall user experience. Implications for students and e-commerce platforms: The findings have implications for both students and e-commerce platforms. Students' preferences for Shopee over Tokopedia due to perceived affordability and a wider product range reflect the importance of catering to user needs. Abstract

Background – Fast food restaurants are a culinary business where competition is quite tight, especially in the Covid-19 era. To face competition between restaurants which is quite close, companies must have many strategies, one of which is related to the promotion strategy. Aim – This study aims to compare the marketing strategy content between Mcdonald's and Burger King and identify the focus of discussion of Twitter users on fast food restaurants. Design/ Methodology/ Approach – This research uses a social network analysis (SNA) approach with a qualitative descriptive research type. SNA is a form of social computing that extracts large amounts of data. This research uses secondary data sources from tweets with discussions of McDonal's and Burger King in 2017-2022 with data collection. Findings – The study results show that the marketing strategy related to promos carried out by Mcdonald's is Free Shipping, while Burger King's is Cashback. While on the menu, Mcdonald's innovates on the ice cream menu, and Burger King innovates on the burger menu. The marketing strategy related to taste at Mcdonald's and Burger King showed that the two restaurants had a delicious and delicious taste of the products produced by the two companies on the tongues of consumers Conclusion - Burger King's marketing strategy carried out via Twitter social media is superior to McDonlads' marketing strategy. Research implication –The research results show that Burger King is famous for the promos it provides, namely cashback where the promo can be used again when making subsequent purchases by consumers. Apart from that, the menu at Burger King is also very varied, starting from different colors and shapes of burgers, therefore Burger King can attract other consumers to buy their products. This strategy can be maintained to improve and maintain products at Burger King restaurants. McDonald's is famous for its delicious burgers, so this can increase consumer purchases, this strategy must also be maintained. Limitations – This study focuses on two company brands, namely Mcdonald's and Burger King, in this analysis using three marketing strategy criteria as keywords for data collection. The first keyword is a promo, the second is a menu, and the third is taste.

Abstract

Sebuah organisasi tidak lepas dari aspek pengelolaan sumber daya manusia. Manajamen sumber daya manusia berperan dalam memaksimalkan untuk lebih produktif dalam pekerjaan. Pada kantor sekretariat daerah Sidoarjo terdapat suatu kondisi dimana  jumlah pegawai yang bekerja didominasi  gender perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana suatu kondisi tersebut dapat terjadi. Melalui pengelolaan sumber daya manusia dalam aspek rekrutmen, pelatihan dan pengembangan karir serta pemberian kompensasi. Apakah didalam pengelolaan tersebut terdapat bias kepada gender tertentu. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan pengelolaan sumber daya manusia berjalan efektif. Pada aspek rekrutmen dan pemberian kompensasi tidak ada bias terhadap gender tertentu, namun dalam aspek pelatihan dan pengembangan karir serta dalam pemberian tugas pekerjaan terdapat bias terhadap gender perempuan.

Abstract

Dalam suatu tujuan perusahaan tentunya diharapkan produktivitas kerja yang baik dari seluruh karyawan perusahaan tersebut. Produktivitas tenaga kerja dianggap seperti kemampuan pekerja agar mencapai sebuah hasil yang diinginkan. utuk memperoleh sebuah hasil yang baik, maka diperlukam kerja sama antar pihak karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Jenis data kuantitatif, Data yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner kepada karyawan. Sampel yang dipilih adalah 100 karyawan perusahaan yang semuanya dipilih dengan menggunakan metode non-probability sampling, kriteria yang ditetapkan yaitu semua responden adalah karyawan PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia cabang Sidoarjo. Konstanta dari persamaan regresi linier berganda pada Tabel  5 ialah 11.606 serta dikatakan positif, menunjukkan bahwasannya jika pengembangan karir, perencanan sdm, motivasi kerja kalkulasinya ialah nol, diperhitungkan konsisten lalu besarnya Produktivitas Kerja Karyawan hendak menjalani alterasi yaitu peningkatan sebanyak 11.606. Berlandaskan pada analisis regresi linier berganda melalui pengujian dengan cara simultan didapati bahwasannya variabel Pengembangan karir (X1), Perencanaan SDM (X2), motivasi kerja (X3), didapati skor F dan skor signifikansi dpat diartikan bahwa variabel pengembangan karir, perencanaan sdm, motivasi kerja dengan cara simultan berpengaruh positif pada produktivitas kerja karyawan PT. Japfa Comfeed Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) menjadi aspek penting didalam perusahaan agar tujuan dapat tercapai. Manajemen SDM perlu mengawasi efektivitas karyawannya, ketepatan waktu dalam menyelesaikan pekerjaan, pengetahuan yang dimiliki serta kedisiplinan karyawan dalam menaati peraturan perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan kompetensi, disiplin kerja dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Bank BNI di Sidoarjo. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, yaitu penelitian berupa angka yang akan dianalisis menggunakan statistik. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara menyebarkan kuisioner yang dicantumkan didalam google form kepada responden yang telah ditentukan. Penilaian indikator kuisioner menggunakan lima skala likert. Terdapat dua jenis variabel dalam penelitian ini, yaitu variabel independen dan dependen. Variabel dependen dalam penelitian adalah Kinerja Karyawan. Sedangkan variabel independen dalam penelitian adalah Kompetensi (X1), Disiplin Kerja (X2) dan Lingkungan Kerja (X3). Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diolah menggunakan software SPSS Statistics 25 yang dapat ditarik kesimpulan berupa : 1) Adanya peranan kompetensi terhadap kinerja karyawan 2) Adanya peranan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan dan 3) Adanya peranan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan
