Abstract

Pharmacy students require tailored English language skills to support their academic and professional needs. Traditional approaches often fail to address diverse learning preferences, technological advancements, and specific linguistic demands. This study aimed to develop an innovative blended English language learning module using the Whole-Part-Whole (WPW) model to support Project-Based Learning (PjBL) for Pharmacy students at the University of Mataram. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach, this study utilized the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Data were collected through document reviews, FGDs, interviews, observations, and questionnaires and analyzed using quantitative and qualitative methods based on Miles and Huberman's model. The module design successfully integrated ESP, TPACK principles, Blended Learning, WPW structure, and PjBL strategy. Students reported improved engagement, confidence in English use, and collaborative skills. Experts’ evaluations also confirmed the module’s effectiveness. The WPW-based blended English module supports Pharmacy students’ diverse learning needs and enhances language proficiency, collaboration, and 21st-century skills. Future research should expand its application to other disciplines and update digital content continually.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to instructional practices, requiring teachers to possess strong digital literacy and the ability to integrate technology into learning design. The workshop on the utilization of ChatGPT and Magic School for elementary school teachers in Gugus 1, Sandubaya District, was conducted to enhance teachers’ understanding and skills in developing AI-based instructional materials. Through interactive lectures, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and guided mentoring, participants gained comprehensive experience in using AI to generate teaching materials, assessment items, scoring rubrics, and other instructional tools. Survey results indicated that participants found the program highly beneficial, particularly in accelerating the preparation of learning materials and increasing their confidence in implementing technology in the classroom. These findings affirm the substantial potential of AI in supporting teachers' roles as facilitators of 21st-century learning. The activity also opens opportunities for follow-up programs, including advanced training aimed at strengthening teachers’ professional development and digital literacy on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Keterlambatan penyelesaian skripsi masih menjadi permasalahan serius di banyak program studi kependidikan, termasuk Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP Universitas Mataram. Permasalahan ini disebabkan oleh kombinasi faktor internal mahasiswa, keterbatasan penguasaan English for Academic Purposes (EAP), serta kendala eksternal berupa pola dan intensitas bimbingan skripsi. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk mengakselerasi penyusunan skripsi mahasiswa melalui penerapan model pendampingan penelitian payung yang diintegrasikan ke dalam mata kuliah Research on ELT. Program ini dirancang dalam bentuk pilot project dengan pendekatan kolaboratif, yang melibatkan workshop metodologi penelitian, pendampingan berkala, serta pemanfaatan platform digital berbasis Google Sites sebagai pusat sumber belajar dan bimbingan. Sasaran kegiatan adalah mahasiswa semester VI yang sedang mempersiapkan proposal penelitian skripsi. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan mahasiswa memiliki arah penelitian yang lebih jelas, peningkatan pemahaman metodologis, serta menghasilkan draf proposal penelitian yang siap dikembangkan menjadi skripsi pada semester berikutnya. Selain berdampak pada mahasiswa, program ini juga memberikan manfaat bagi dosen pembimbing melalui pola bimbingan yang lebih sistematis dan terkelola.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) kuliner dalam mengoptimalkan aplikasi GoFood sebagai media pemasaran digital di Gg. Mawar, Kelurahan Yobe, Distrik Abepura, Kota Jayapura, Provinsi Papua. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi observasi awal, diskusi, pelatihan teknis, pendampingan, dan evaluasi perkembangan mitra. Fokus kegiatan diarahkan pada optimalisasi fitur GoFood, seperti pengelolaan menu digital, peningkatan kualitas foto produk, pemanfaatan program promosi, penetapan harga strategis, serta pengelolaan ulasan pelanggan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan literasi digital pelaku UMKM, perbaikan tampilan akun GoFood, serta meningkatnya visibilitas dan jangkauan pasar usaha. Mitra menjadi lebih adaptif dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital dan lebih strategis dalam mengelola pemasaran daring. Pendampingan yang dilakukan secara terstruktur turut mendorong perubahan pola pikir pelaku usaha agar lebih inovatif dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan konsumen. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap penguatan kapasitas pemasaran digital UMKM serta mendukung peningkatan daya saing dan keberlanjutan usaha di wilayah non-komersial.
