Abstract

Numerical ability is one of the important skills that must be mastered by students as a provision in solving everyday problems. It is also undeniable that the numeracy skills of elementary school students are still far from expectations. Various problems arise in learning mathematics such as the gap in the numeracy abilities of different students. The purpose of this study is to describe the numeracy skills of upper-class students in elementary schools. This type of research is descriptive research with the research subjects are 4th to 6th grade students at SDN Talabiu, Bima, West Nusa Tenggara. The instrument used is in the form of multiple choice test questions, totaling 10 numbers which have been validated by experts by asking for input from colleagues from the evaluation field and the field of mathematics. In addition, this instrument is also a modified finished instrument that has been approved by the developer. The data were analyzed using the percentage formula to determine the category of students' abilities. Based on the results of research and data analysis, information was obtained that the numeracy skills of upper-class students at SD Negeri Talabiu can be grouped into 4 categories, namely the High category with a percentage of 16%, the Moderate Category with a percentage of 62%, the less category with a percentage of 14% and the very low category. with a percentage of 8%. The contribution of the results of this study is as a reference for teachers and schools in relation to the state of students' numeracy abilities so that they can apply innovative and creative learning

Abstract

Destinasi wisata Uma Lengge merupakan warisan budaya masyarakat Bima yang memiliki nilai etnomatematika. Nilai etnomatematika tersebut belum banyak diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran matematika dan mengakibatkan pembelajaran  matematika di sekolah belum dapat menampilkan konteks nyata yang berkaitan langsung dengan aktivitas sehari-hari siswa. Tujuan tulisan ini adalah untuk menganalisis beberapa bentuk geometri apa saja yang terdapat dalam struktur Uma Lengge tersebut agar nantinya dijadikan sebagai referensi bagi guru untuk menerapakan etnomatematika dari destinasi Uma Lengge dalam pembelajaran matematika di SD. Tulisan ini dilakukan dengan penelitian deksriptif kualitatif. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil dokumentasi dan wawancara akan dianalisis secara kualitatif mulai dari reduksi data, interpretasi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun hasil penelitian bahwa destinasi Uma Lengge memiliki nilai etnomatematika berbentuk geometri seperti: 1) trapesium sama kaki, 2) segititiga, 3) Persegi, 4) persegipanjang dan yang terakhir adalah 5) segitiga siku-siku. Etnomatematika dari destinasi Uma Lengge dapat digunakan sebagai alat peraga dalam pembelajaran matematika Sekolah Dasar (SD) materi geometri/bangun datar dengan tujuan agar siswa mudah memahami materi yang disampaikan karena bahan ajar Uma Lengge sudah dikenal oleh siswa. Selain itu, siswa juga dapat mengenal lebih mendalam tentang destinasi Uma Lengge sebagai warisan budaya suku Bima.

Abstract

One of the competencies needed by students in understanding science concepts is learning creativity. Reality shows that science learning in schools still experience various obstacles. One of which is the low learning creativity of students. The purpose of this study is to develop student learning creativity through contextual-based science learning. This study is an experimental study with a research sample consisting of two classes. The instrument used to measure students' learning creativity was an essay test. The data analysis used was t-test. The results of the analysis obtained a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.000, in the value was less than 0.05, so it is concluded that Ho is rejected or Ha is accepted, which interprets that the application of contextual-based learning can increase student learning creativity.

Abstract

Mathematics and science are two fundamental subjects for students to master to solve problems in everyday life. The reality shows that the learning outcomes of Mathematics and Science are still quite lacking. This study aims to analyze the low learning outcomes of Mathematics and Science in elementary schoole at Bima District West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the research subjects being upper-class students determination of research subjects by purposive sampling (based on research objectives). The instrument used to collect data is in the form of interview and documentation guidelines. The data were analyzed using the classical completeness formula to determine how many students completed and who did not complete. The results showed that the classical mastery for mathematics students at SDN Talabiu was in the deficient category (interval 1-20), with a mastery percentage of 13.51%, while the science learning outcomes for upper-class students were in the less category (interval 21-40). with a percentage of 39%. The low learning outcomes of Mathematics and Science are caused by two factors, namely students' internal factors and external factors. Internal factors related to psychology and physiology. External factors are influenced by family, school, and community conditions. The aspects of teachers and infrastructure strongly influence relationships with schools. Solutions have taken from low learning achievement caused by external factors (schools) by improving adequate infrastructure facilities and increasing teacher competencies, including educational, professional social, and personal competencies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui bagaimanakah penerapan metode everyone is a teacher here pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Materi Jiwa Lebih Tenang Dengan Banyak Melakukan Sujud kelas VIII/D SMPN 2 Kota Bima Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII/D SMPN 2 Kota Bima sebanyak 28 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas dengan Instrumen penelitianya adalah Tes hasil belajar dan observasi aktivitas siswa dan Guru. Adapun indikator ketuntasannya adalah siswa minimal berkategori aktif dan guru minimal berkategori baik, ketuntasan individu siswa ≥ 70 dan ketuntasan klasikalnya adalah ≥85% siswa yang tuntas hasil belajarnya. Pelaksanaan penelitian didapat bahwa proses pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Materi Jiwa Lebih Tenang Dengan Banyak Melakukan Sujud menggunakan penerapan metode everyone is a teacher here menunjukkan peningkatan yang positif. Hal ini dilihat dari rata-rata nilai awal 64,5 meningkat menjadi rata-rata nilai 74,5. Ketuntasan belajar dalam kelas meningkat dari 60,7% menjadi 85,7 %. Sedangkan aktivitas siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II mengalami kenaikan 40.3% naik menjadi 60.7% serta penurunan aktivitas negatif siswa dari 16,1% turun menjadi 5%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah metode pembelajaran Everyone Is A Teacher Here dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu kemampuan penting yang harus dimiliki mahasiswa sebagai calon guru. Mahasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang baik akan mampu memberikan solusi yang tepat terhadalap persoalan yang dihadapi. Namun kenyataan yang terjadi bahwa masih ditemukan mahasiswa semester I Jurusan PGSD di STKIP Taman siswa Bima dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran PBL terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan minat belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan desain penelitian two group pretest-posttest non equivalen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa PGSD semester I yang terdiri dari tiga kelas di kampus II dan delapan kelas kampus I. Sampel penelitian dipilih dua kelas secara random dari populasi yang berjumlah sebelas kelas. Satu kelas untuk kelas eksperimen dengan diterapkan pembelajaran PBL dan satu kelas sebagai kelas kontrol (pembelajaran seperti bisa dengan menerapkan metode ceramah). Adapun instrument yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah instrument tes berbentuk esay, sedangkan untuk mengukur minat belajar mahasiswa dengan menggunakan angket. Analisis data hasil penelitian menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai signifikan dari Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, dan Roy's Largest Root sebesar 0,000 dan lebih kecil dari 0,05 untuk aspek minat maupun pemecahan masalah. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa PBL efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan minat belajar mahasiswa. Abstract Problem solving ability is one of the important skills that must be possessed by students as prospective teachers. Students who have good problem-solving skills will be able to provide appropriate solutions to the problems at hand. However, the reality is that the first semester students of the PGSD Department at STKIP Taman, Bima students still found students with poor problem-solving skills. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of PBL learning on problem solving abilities and student interest in learning. This research is a quasi-experimental research using a non-equivalent two-group pretest-postotest research design. The population of this study were all first semester PGSD students consisting of three classes on campus II and eight classes on campus I. Two classes were selected randomly from a population of eleven classes. One class is for the experimental class and PBL learning is applied and one class is the control class (learning can be done by applying the lecture method). The instrument used to measure problem solving ability is an essay-shaped test instrument, while to measure student interest in learning using a questionnaire. Analysis of research data using t-test at a significant level of 5%. The results showed that the significant value of Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, and Roy's Largest Root was 0.000 and less than 0.05 for aspects of interest and problem solving. So it can be concluded that PBL is effective in terms of problem solving abilities and student interest in learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the latest regulations on the revised edition 2013 which are new in planning, in which mathematics becomes a self-supplemented subject and is not integrated with other subjects. This type of research is field research (field research) by discussing qualitative, data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation, while analyzing the data using the Miles Huberman analysis model, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and verification data. The results of the study show how the teacher steps in compiling the lesson plan that is choosing learning, reviewing the teacher's book, studying the syllabus, then compiling the lesson plan. The RPP prepared by the teacher is in accordance with the concept of the 2013 curriculum. In the implementation of learning in the 2013 curriculum, the teacher has used learning by using scientific learning, and a learning model that is in accordance with the concept of the 2013 curriculum. student knowledge and skills. Authentic assessment used by teachers includes discussion, performance, and written.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of science-based learning drill towards students' understanding of complex analysis courses. This research employed experimental procedure with one group posttest design. The experimental group consisted of 20 sixth semester students taking complex analysis courses. They were treated with drills on science-based learning procedure followed with a post test that is composed of seven questions. To measure the effectiveness of the procedure, t-test was applied. With a standard value of 70 (value = 70), the computation using SPSS 16 program showed the t test results at a significant level of 5% was 1. 78, t table 1.327, and degrees of freedom (dk = 20-1). Because t arithmetic is greater than t table, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of communication mathematics students in grade VIII SMP IT Suhadah Yogyakarta through cooperative learning type Number Head Together (NHT). This study is a classroom action research. The instrument used to collect data is a test instrument. The results of the research for the students' communication ability aspects improved from cycle I of cycle II for each aspect: the first aspect is illustrating mathematical ideas from 30% to 47%, an increase of 17%. The second aspect describes the answer and the use of symbols from 20% to 40.5%. The increase is as much as 20.5%. The total achievement for cycle II is 85.7%, which in this case has reached the criteria 85.7%> 85%. We conclude that NHT learning has been effective for students' mathematical communication skills on straight-line equations. In addition, for teacher and student activity, in the first cycle only active categories have increased
