Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated there is uniqueness of the vocal melody of the accompaniment songs of Jepin Senggayong dance from Kayong Utara Regency has been the researcher's interest in carrying out this study directed at describing the aspects of the music. Theories used for the study were the structures, elements, musicology, rhythm patterns, forms, and the chords of the music. This is qualitative research using the descriptive-analytic method with musicology approach. the data were gathered from the interviews and observation on the researched accompaniment music, of which the data were collected using observation, direct communication, and documentary study techniques. Along with interview and observation guides, the researcher acted as the main instrument of research. The data were validated by extended observation and triangulation techniques and were analyzed by data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings show that the accompaniment of Jepin Senggayong music is music consiting of twoparts that comprise two sentence. The tempo used ranges from 90 or 110. In the vocal section three are also ornaments with two forms of music which includetwo sentences with three phrasesand six motifs.This study suggests the reactivation of traditional artists to preserve their traditional music and dance as part of the culture, particularly in the Kayong Utara Regency, Kalimantan Barat. Keywords: Analysis, Accompaniment Music, Jepin Senggayong Dance

Abstract

This study was motivated by the problem of the teaching-learning process on Art & Culture subject which was conveyed through limited face-to-face teaching-learning to the tenth-grade science students at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of learning Arts and Culture conducted in a limited way in class X MIA at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive design. In this study, the data was obtained using several techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. The techniques used to test the data's validity were lengthening observations, triangulation techniques, and triangulation of sources. The result of this research showed that the learning of Arts and Culture in the material of singing Indonesia Raya song 3 Stanza, which was done with limited face-to-face teaching – learning, was ineffective. This was happened due to the lack of time in the teaching-learning process led to the materials conveyed considerably lack, and at the time of taking grades, not all students had chance to come forward, and some students were not focus during the teaching-learning activity. The researcher hoped that by conducting this study, the result could help fixing the teaching – learning process which was conveyed through limited face to face teaching – learning become more effective.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated by the uniqueness of Tatung Accompaniment Music Patterns in Singkawang City. There are wasps accompaniment to Chinese Ethnic Tatung and Dayak Ethnic Tatung. In addition, there are differences in the character of the Chinese Ethnic Tatung wasp pattern and the Dayak Ethnics want to preserve the Tatung culture in Singkawang City. The problem in this research is how the various musical accompaniment patterns of Tatung accompaniment in the City of Singkawang, how the differences in the various patterns of the musical accompaniment of Tatung in the City of Singkawang. The method in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative form of research using musicology. The results of this study indicate that there are four different wasp accompaniment patterns for Tatung in rituals and Tatung meetings in Singkawang City which perform musical accompaniment rituals and do Tatung when performed. Abstract

AbstractThe background of the research is the researcher interest toward the existence of Drum band extracurricular at Elementary School in Southeast Pontianak which still unknown due to the unavailable data of the total unit, the condition, and other data. The purpose of this research were 1) to describe the history of drum band in Elementary School in Southeast Pontianak. 2) to describe the composition of drum band unit in Elementary School in Southeast Pontianak. 3) to describe the rehearsal activities and the achievement in Elementary School in Southeast Pontianak. The methodology of this research is descriptive research with qualitative research. The data was taken from several techniques namely observation technique, interview technique, and documentation study. The technique to validate the data was the extension of the observation and triangulation technique. The result of this research were 1) the history formed of drumband in each school had average reasons. 2) the unit composition in drumband extracurricular in each school had different of composition. 3) The achievemnts in the Drum Band in elementary schools in southeast Pontianak are different, this is influenced by several factors, namely the training system, student interest, the composition of instrument, and school activeness in participating in competition.Keywords: existence, drumband, extracurricular

Abstract

                         AbstractThis research was motivated there uniqueness The people of Medan Jaya Village, Simpang Hilir district, Kayong Utara Regency used their waiting time for the durian to fall by playing music and dancing, emerging a local art called Nyantuk Durian. The study aims at describing the structure and function of Nyantuk Durian music. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a musicology approach. The data were collected using interviews, observations, and documentation. Along with the interview guide, observation, and documentation sheets, the researcher acted as the main research instrument. The data validation used were extended observation and source triangulation. The results showed that Nyantuk Durian art did not function as a ritual medium but as a medium of entertainment, information, and education. The music instruments used were gambus, accordion, tambourine, beruas, cymbal, and tambourine. The melody in the gambus and accordion comprises a limited scale comprising five sentences. The beats pattern on tambourines, cymbals, tambourines, and beruas has a simple, short, and repetitive pattern. Mainly functioned as entertainment, Nyantuk Durian has a broad structure of music. In conclusion, the government and the local community should jointly preserve and develop Nyantuk Durian art to be introduced to the next generation.Keywords: Structure, Music, Nyantuk Durian.

AbstractKensiwi Kameswari, 2020. Forms of Presentment of the Art of Dhikr Nazam Music in Sentebang Village, Jawai District, Sambas Regency. A Thesis. Performing Arts Education Study Program, Department of Language and Art Education. University of Tanjungpura Pontianak. Supervisor I: Dr. Imam Ghozali, M.Pd.; Supervisor II: Chiristianly Yery Silaban, M.Sn. This research is driven by the uniqueness of the form of presentation of the Nazam dhikr, which is the movement of the rumba musicians while dancing and the typical Sambas Songket cloth (gold thread fabric) worn by the musicians. This study mainly discusses the form of presentation of Nazam dhikr music art in Sentebang Village, Jawai District, Sambas Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive in the form of qualitative research using an inductive descriptive approach. Data sources in this study are the local public figures and practitioners. The data in this study are in the form of descriptions and audiovisuals about the music of the Nazam dhikr and were validated using triangulation and extension of observation. The findings showed that the Nazam dhikr is presented using several attributes such as the stage, makeup, fashion, sound system, lighting, formation, and order of presentation. The order of presentation consists of opening by pronouncing ta'awudh basmalah, reading ila hadrotin mustofa, reading the surah al-Fatihah, reciting the Prophet's prayer, and closing by reading prayers. The formation consists of the players inside the house or outside which is usually housed in a tent called Tarub. From the results of this study, the researcher hoped that the young generation of Sentebang Village, Jawai District, and Sambas Regency will get to know and preserve the art culture of their local area.Keywords: Form of Presentment, Nazam dhikr, Sambas, Sentebang Village.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the use of features in Cubase 5 software as a medium for making digital music. Describes how to optimize the use of features in Cubase 5 software to support creativity in digital music creation for Music Arts Students in the Performing Arts Education Study Program, Tanjungpura University. Describes the benefits of Cubase 5 software for Music Arts Students in the Performing Arts Education Study Program, Tanjungpura University. This study uses descriptive methods in the form of qualitative and qualitative approaches. The source of data in this study is Rosidin. Wildan Naraya Dirgantara. Ranma Yustistio. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and literature study. The technique of testing the validity of the data used is source triangulation. The result of this study is that the Cubase 5 software has benefits in its use for Music Arts Students of the Performing Arts Education Study Program, Tanjungpura University related to subjects that require creativity such as arrangement, basic composition, advanced composition and dance accompaniment music for dance students.Keywords: Utilization, Cubase 5, Software

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the uniqueness of the Pangalangok Nek Itapm tatung group. Tatung art is a tradition of the Chinese community, but in the Pangalangok Nek Itapm group all members are of the Dayak ethnicity. This study uses a descriptive-exploratory method, with an anthropological approach. Data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation. The data validity technique used source triangulation and observation extension. The data in this study were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's theory. The results of this study indicate that the uniqueness lies in the special rituals and forms of presentation. The special ritual of the Panglangok Nek Itapm group uses a unique dish, namely using a sacred dish, namely blood, ancak, pahar, kalangkang, plain poek, native chicken eggs, tumpi', saba', tangkin, rice, and chicken, in This presentation is rarely encountered in special rituals in other tatung groups. In the form of its presentation Pangalangok Nek Itapm has a costume and dress that uses hornbill head, ruai feathers as head decoration, keris as a sword to be stabbed into the body of the tatung, deer antlers to hang on the neck as a unique decoration of the Pangalangok Nek tatung group Itapm.Keywords: Presentation Form, Tatung Pangalangok Nek Itapm Group

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is to study the technique of playing a membrane musical instrument and the variation of the beat patterns of Zikir Salai in Trimandayan Village, Teluk Keramat District, Sambas Regency. The purpose of this study was to describe the technique of playing membrane musical instruments and to concern the various rhythmic patterns of Zikir Salai in Trimandayan Village. The method used was descriptive analytic with a musicological approach. The data in this research were in the form of rebana and gedomba 'musical instrument playing techniques, and the beat pattern of the Zikir Salai in Trimandayan Village. The participants in this study were the artist figures who knew about this art. Data collection was done by observing, interviewing, and documenting, checking the validity of the data by extending observations and triangulating sources. The data analysis technique used was the analisys content technique of Moleong's (1991) model. Based on the data analysis Rebana and Gedomba’ had two kinds of sound “dung” and “cang”, there were five beat patterns one basict beat, two basic beat, tandak beat, keroncong beat, and dangdut beat, there are also rhythmic development of every basic beats and also techniques expansion and tone color “dung” on dangdut beat. Finally researcher hopes this research can stimulate the interest to learn traditional art especially Zikir Salai in Trimandayan Vilage Teluk Keramat District on Sambas Regency.Keywords: Pattern of beat, Traditional Art, Zikir Salai.

Abstract

AbstractThe uniqueness Tebah Gendang of Iban Sebaruk Dayak tribe in Sekayam District Sanggau regency. This study aims to analyze the beats patterns and the technique of playing Tebah Gendang. This study was conducted using the descriptive-analytic method in the form of qualitative research. The approach used in conducting the study was musicology. The researcher acted as the research instrument. The data were gathered from the public figure in the community and the kendang craftsmen and players, of which they were collected using observation, interviews, and documentary study techniques. The data were validated by sources triangulation and technique triangulation and. were analyzed by adapting the technique from Miles and Huberman such as data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The findings show that there are eight patterns of tebah gendang beats; they are tebah pekak ayam, babi makan belaut, tungkat tebuh betung, pelebar, gendang nait, kuntau, ngajat and banong belit. In addition, there are two sounds produced (“dup” and “pak”), which were formed from being hit using the palm. This artistry is unique because it has a variety of different beat patterns with other musical instruments.
