Abstract

This research aims to produce multimedia learning in informatics subjects using a 4D (four-D) development model which includes four stages, namely define, design, development, and dissemination. In the Development Step, a media validity test was carried out with two media expert validators and one material expert validator, then a practicality test was carried out on 30 junior high school grade VIII students to test the practicality of the multimedia learning developed. The results of the media validity assessment with validator I got a percentage of 94.67 with the category "very valid" and the results with validator II got a percentage of 97.33 with the category "very valid". The validity of the material obtained by the material validator obtained a percentage of 96.36 with the category of "very valid". Multimedia learning is said to be practical based on a practicality test with a percentage of 95.43 with the category "very practical". The steps taken in analyzing the respondents and then finding the percentage of the average results can be determined by the assessment criteria for the practicality test. Based on the results of the validity and practicality test, it can be concluded that the learning multimedia product in the informatics subject is very feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

The importance of learning Informatics is not only limited to mastering techniques and practical skills in technology development, but also in forming students' self-efficacy or self-confidence in overcoming challenges and solving problems in the digital world. This study aims to analyze the influence of Scratch programming language on informatics subjects to improve the self-efficacy of grade VIII students at SMP 8 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental method. The design used in this research is a Quasi Experimental Design in the form of a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collection technique used is a Likert scale questionnaire. The experimental group used the scratch programming language with a total of 32 students, and the control group used the blookly programming language with a total of 32 students. For hypothesis testing, this study uses t-test statistics with a significant level of 5% (= 0.05) and N-Gain test. The results of the study showed that the use of scratch programming language influenced the self-efficacy of grade VIII students of SMP 8 Padang with a significance value of 0.001. This means a significant t-value (p = 0.001 < 0.005). In the N-Gain analysis, the experimental class experienced an increase in self-efficacy score of 0.54 (medium category), while the control class only 0.07 (low category)

Abstract

The integration of digital media in education is crucial for enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. At SMP Negeri 14 Kerinci, outdated printed teaching materials that do not align with the current syllabus contribute to low student performance. To address this issue, this study develops and evaluates an Android-based digital pocket book for Pancasila Citizenship Education. The research follows the Research and Development (RD) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation was conducted by three experts specializing in media, materials, and language, assessing the application based on relevance, interactivity, language quality, and content. Practicality testing involved teachers and students, and effectiveness was determined through pretest-posttest comparisons. Validation results indicated high feasibility, with scores of 82 for media, 82 for materials, and 85 for language, all classified as “Very Good.” Practicality testing yielded scores of 98 from teachers and 96 from students, categorizing the application as “Very Practical.” Effectiveness analysis demonstrated significant improvements in student learning outcomes, as evidenced by pretest and posttest score differences and the achievement of classical completeness. The findings confirm that the digital pocket book is a viable and effective learning tool, enhancing students' understanding and engagement through multimedia features such as audio, video, images, and animations. This study provides an innovative digital learning solution with the potential to serve as a model for other educational subjects, contributing to the advancement of digital-based pedagogy.

Abstract

This study was conducted due to the limited use of interactive and technology-based teaching materials in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level, which often relies on printed materials and results in low student engagement. The research aimed to develop Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based interactive teaching materials to encourage active learning, provide immediate feedback, and support collaborative problem-solving for fifth-grade Indonesian language instruction. This research applied a research and development method using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The analysis stage involved observations and interviews with teachers and students from three elementary schools. The design and development stages focused on producing interactive multimedia-based teaching materials using Articulate Storyline 3. The product was then validated by experts to assess its content, language, and media feasibility. The validation results indicated that the teaching materials were categorized as very valid. Practicality testing showed average scores of 92.33% from teachers and 94.18% from students, both classified as very practical. Furthermore, the effectiveness test produced an N-Gain value of 0.8 (77.60%), indicating that the teaching materials were effective in improving student engagement and learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

Background - Challenges in an era of continuous progress and competitive markets require groups, communities, organizations, and countries to demonstrate resilience and competitiveness. Knowledge is a vital asset that humans possess, and efforts to develop human resources are essential to support capacity building and promote competitive excellence. Research Urgency - SMEs frequently encounter challenges in managing their businesses, particularly due to their limited capacity to develop the products they produce. The UPT IPOK Disperindagkop and SMEs of Riau Province often conduct training for MSMEs to encourage improvements in the quality of human resources in Riau Province. However, there are still shortcomings in the implementation and evaluation of training activities held by the UPT IPOK. Research Objectives - This research aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Riau Province Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises Agency. Research Method - The research method is qualitative analysis. It consists of four stages. The first stage is data collection through in-depth interviews with 10 informants, comprised of the head of the IPOK Technical Implementation Unit, IPOK Technical Implementation Unit staff, IPOK Technical Implementation Unit SME extension workers, training instructors, and training participants. The second stage is data reduction, which is summarizing the results of the interviews conducted in accordance with the research needs. The fourth stage is data presentation, which involves compiling the collected data into a report and then conducting a qualitative analysis. Before proceeding to the fifth stage, validation is carried out again with the head of the IPOK Technical Implementation Unit, after which the fifth stage of concluding is carried out. Research Findings - The incubator training organizer contained an activity plan consisting of a legal basis, background, objectives, inputs, outputs, benefits, training location, participants, and activity schedule. The training ran smoothly thanks to the comprehensive facilities and infrastructure provided by the UPT IPOK. The evaluation showed that the instructors sought to improve the quality of the training based on the input provided by the participants. The evaluation was conducted in the form of a questionnaire that was filled out by the training participants. Research Conclusion - The training activity, which was attended by 10 participants, had a positive impact because it went through careful planning, adequate implementation, and sufficient evaluation, thereby creating jobs, increasing community income, and adding value to local raw materials to create superior products. Of course, this requires separate training on processing cassava. However, there are still obstacles related to marketing and capital. Research Novelty/Contribution - This study explains that in training activities, it is very important to have the continuity of advanced training needed by training participants. This is because when training is not completed to the point of producing SME independence, the benefits and objectives outlined in the training plan are not realized.
