Abstract

Introduction: Myopia is a type of refractive disorder that has a high prevalence in the world and happens on teenagers. Myopia is caused by bad habits when looking at an object, one of them is the habit when using a gadget. Method: Research design used is observational analytics. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling and obtained 84 teenagers aged 15-24 years with myopia. The data obtaining used was unsafe action questionnaires of gadgets use and vision inspection sheets. Result: The results showed that the median unsafe action of gadget use is 26.5 with a minimum score is 16 and a maximum is 32. The median of vision value is 0.25 with a minimum value is 0.03 and a maximum is 0.83. Analysis: The results of this research indicate that there is a relationship between unsafe action of gadgets use and visual value on teenagers with myopia (p value = <0.001; r = 0.474). Conclusion: Teenagers pay less attention to position, visibility, duration of use, and lighting when using a gadget. Using a gadget with a sitting position, a minimum visibility is 30 cm and a maximum usage time is 2 hours with a rest of 20 minutes can prevent eye strain. In addition, increasing nutritional needs and exercising can prevent a decrease in visual acuity.

Abstract

Introduction: High IOP causes disturbing retinal ganglion cell axons’s work in sending impulses and causes visual disturbances. Restrictions on non-urgent health services due to Covid-19 pandemic caused telehealth treatments be carried out so physical examinations such as IOP measurements couldn’t be carried out, even though IOP control was important to keep visual field from narrowing. Method: Databases used: Google Scholar, PubMed, Research Gate, Science Direct, Wiley One Library, Sage Journals, Springer, Nature, Emerald, Cambridge Core, and ProQuest. Keywords entered into database, articles filtered according to inclusion criteria. Articles tested with JBI critical, and analyzed if score was >50%. Result: 7 articles mentioned a significant decrease in IOP, 1 article mentioned a non-significant decrease in IOP, and 2 articles mentioned an increase in duration and frequency of exercise associated with decrease in baseline IOP. Analysis: Aerobic exercise can reduce IOP immediately after exercise up to ±30 minutes. Although it’s temporary but if it’s done continuously it can reduce the baseline of IOP. The decrease in IOP was due to jogging on track 4.3mmHg, jogging on treadmill 3.0mmhg, running on ergometer bicycle 2.7mmhg, and running on treadmill 2.12-2.60mmHg. Conclusion: Jogging on track can lower IOP the most compared to other types of aerobic exercise.

Abstract

Welding shop is one of the informal work is risk for accidents and occupational diseases. During the welding process workers can be exposed directly by a foreign body or corpus alienum disease of eye. To describe knowledge about the corpus alienum of the eye in welding workers. Database used Google Scholar and Pubmed, Keywords entered into database, articles filtered according to inclusion criteria. Articles tested with JBI Critical Appraisal Tool, and analyzed if score was >50%. The articles discussing about prevalence, the highest prevalence was found to be 80% of welding workers with an occurrence frequency of more than 10 time. Risk factors for corpus alienum are duration of welding, years of experience, age, type of welding, knowledge and use of PPE. The high prevalence of corpus alienum in welding workers is influenced by risk factors and the use of eye protection.

Abstract

Introduction:the pain of post-operative laparotomy is caused by tissue discontinuity or surgical wounds due to surgical incisions, so the skin's nerve cells become damaged. Laparotomy pain is often found in severe and moderate levels of pain intensity due to damage to the integument, muscle tissue, and vessels, and it causes in longer pain during the recovery period. Purpose: describe the actions of nurses in dealing with the pain of post-operative laparotomy patients in the hospital. Methods: this literature review uses the Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct databases with cohort study designs, cross-sectional studies, case studies, randomized control trial studies, quasi-experimental studies published between 2019-2023. Result: the 10 articles reviewed in this study showed that the pain felt by post-operative laparotomy patients in the hospital experienced a decrease in the pain scale, from moderate pain to mild pain. Nursing actions related to pain can be done with pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches. Analysis:the pharmacological approach can be carried out by administering analgesic therapy to reduce the intensity of pain felt by the patient while the non-pharmacological approach can be carried out by providing therapy such as; murottal Al-Qur'an therapy, lemon aromatherapy, deep breathing relaxation, finger grip relaxation, and hand massage therapy. Discussion: Pharmacological and non-pharmacological nursing actions carried out can reduce the pain scale of post-operative laparotomy patients in hospital from moderate to mild Keywords: pain, post-operative laparotomy, nurse actions
