Abstract

The majority of people of Nagari Carocok Anau Kec. Tarusan Kab. Pesisir Selatan worked as a fisherman, farmer, a small number of civil servants and market traders, as well as a housewife. Pregnant women in Nagari Carocok Anau, most of whom are housewives, still do not receive health checks such as haemoglobin (Hb) checks. This activity aims to increase knowledge among the public and health cadres regarding anaemia and Hb examination in pregnant women, as well as treatment. The health of pregnant women is checked by checking blood pressure, Hb and medication. This Hb examination is an effort to minimize abnormalities that can occur in pregnant women and fetuses due to low Hb when the mother is pregnant. The examination results showed that more than half of the pregnant women (71.43%) who attended were in the age range 18 – 35 years. Nearly half (42.86%) of pregnant women had Hb levels below the normal limit (11 mg/dl). For a more valid diagnosis, it is necessary to carry out quantitative analysis from the hospital laboratory so that follow-up can be carried out. Education about anaemia and Hb examinations in pregnant women can increase people's knowledge so that preventive measures can be carried out early. Health checks on the general public (blood pressure, Hb) and treatment were also carried out, it was found that the Hb results were within normal limits.

Abstract

Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is the rupture of the amniotic membranes that happen spontaneously before delivery. This can happen in early (premature) pregnancy or late pregnancy. PROM happens on high-risk pregnancies that are caused by the predisposing factors such as incompetent cervix, abnormal position, excess uterus, CPD and infection. The purpose of this study is to determine the pattern of bacteria that causes premature rupture of membranes in patients at M. Djamil Hospital Padang in 2022. This is a descriptive-based research with the total sampling method using secondary data in the form of a rekam medis. The sample of this study were PROM patients in 2022 that met the inclusion criteria with a total of 16 patients. The results of the study showed that the largest age group was aged ≥ 35 (56.25%) with most patients were high school graduates (56.25%) and employed (62.5%). The most types of bacteria were Gram positive Staphylocoocus aureus with 5 samples (31.25%) and Gram negative bacteria Acinetobacter baumannii with 5 samples (31.25%). The results of the antibiotic sensitivity test showed that gentamicin was the most sensitive antibiotic (100%). Some antibiotics, such as celfazolin, ceftriaxone and cefepime, were resistant antibiotics (100%) while the antibiotics erythromycin and ciprofloxacin were intermediate antibiotics in some of the samples studied, with the respective percentages of antibiotics being 100% and 12.5%. The conclusion of this study is that the most bacteria found in PROM are the Gram-positive bacteria Staphylocoocus aureus and the Gram-negative bacteria, namely Acinetobacter baumannii. The antibiotic susceptibility test showed the most sensitive antibiotics namely gentamicin, the most resistant antibiotics namely celfazolin, ceftriaxone and cefepime and intermediate antibiotics namely erythromycin and ciprofloxacin.

Abstract

Background: DU is a varied and challenging case of pelvic surgery because the diagnosis is difficult to make. Symptoms that appear in women vary, ranging from incidental findings, lumps or swelling, and pain in the vagina, as well as discharge from the urethra with a periurethral mass. Objective: In this report, we report a case of DU in a 32-year-old woman who complained of a painful lump in her genitals. This patient underwent transvaginal urethral diverticulectomy and successfully resolved the symptoms of urethral diverticulum he experienced. Methods: Management of urethral diverticulum in this report, namely by history taking, physical examination, supporting examination consisting of transvaginal and transperineal ultrasound, as well as cystourethroscopy before excision and reconstruction of the urethral diverticulectomy is carried out on this patient. Results: This patient had a successful transvaginal urethral diverticulectomy, with no early post-surgical complications found. Conclusion: Reducing the rate of problems following surgery is possible by adhering to the excision and reconstruction principles of urethral diverticulectomy.
