Abstract

Biodiesel is a substitute product for fossil oil or diesel which is made from vegetable oil. Indonesia as a producer of biodiesel which is made from palm oil. This derivative product of palm oil is supported by Government policies in its utilization and supply. This policy boosted the palm oil industry, so that production and export capacity increased for a decade. The European Union is the largest consumer of biodiesel. Therefore, Indonesia exports biodiesel to the European Union and has become one of the largest exporters in the region. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that influence Indonesia's biodiesel exports in the European Union. The research method used is multiple linear regression analysis using OLS to examine the factors that affect the amount of Indonesian biodiesel exports in the European Union. The results show, the regression test of the factors that affect the amount of Indonesian biodiesel exports in the European Union, namely; EU biodiesel production and biodiesel consumption have a significant or positive effect on total exports of 0.54% and 0.14%; the factor of the Rupiah exchange rate against the Euro, Indonesian biodiesel consumption, the dummy anti-dumping duty policy, international biodiesel prices and Indonesian diesel consumption have negative effects - respectively -0.04%, - 0.63%; -71.7%; -0.27%; -0.04, while the CPO production factor and oil palm land area did not significantly affect the amount of biodiesel exports to the European Union. From these factors, the government needs to increase biodiesel production and maintain biodiesel consumption in the EU so that it does not decline. Increased bilateral diplomacy to partner countries in offering biodiesel needs to be increased so that Indonesian biodiesel has a very strong competitiveness and does not depend on just one trading partner.

Abstract

Kecamatan Kutasari merupakan sentra industri gula kelapa kristal di Kabupaten Purbalingga. Perkembangan usaha gula kristal dipengaruhi pola distribusinya. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengukur kinerja rantai pasok gula kristal dan menganalisis efisiensi kinerja rantai pasok gula kristal. Lokasi penelitian meliputi tiga desa yaitu Desa Candinata, Candiwulan, dan Karangcegak Kecamatan Kutasari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Pengambilan sampel pengrajin menggunakan metode simple random sampling dan metode sensus untuk populasi pengepul kecil dan pengepul besar. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif, analisis SCOR dan Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) dengan bantuan software LINDO 6.1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kinerja rantai pasok gula kristal berdasarkan analisis SCOR sudah memiliki kriteria yang baik. Analisis efisiensi kinerja pengepul kecil dan besar rantai pasok gula kristal dengan menggunakan DEA telah beroperasi secara efisien, sedangkan pengrajin belum efisien.

Abstract

This journal contains an analysis of the competitive advantages of coffee from 2015-2020 by comparing Indonesian coffee as one of the main exporting countries with several other main exporting countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Vietnam and Ethiopia. This journal uses 2 analytical tools, namely the Trade Specialization Index (ISP) and Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA). Data collected and processed from several sources including the Badan Pusan Statistik (BPS), International Coffee Organization (ICO) and Trade Statistics for International Business Development (TradeMap). Based on the results of the analysis calculation, the Trade Specialization Index (ISP) value for Indonesian coffee commodities shows results ranging from 0 to 1. This indicates that Indonesia has competitiveness and tends to be a coffee exporting country. Based on the results of Revealed Comparative Adventage (RCA) it can be seen that Ethiopia has the highest RCA score so that Ethiopia has a comparative advantage in all periods followed by Colombia, Brazil, Vietnam. While Indonesia is ranked fifth. Indonesia has to face strong competition between Brazil and Colombia in the international market. What's more, 90% of coffee exported abroad is in the form of green coffee which is of low quality. This causes Indonesia to get lower prices compared to other countries

Abstract

Cardamom is a leading export commodity. The demand for cardamom continues to increase from year to year, where the increase in cardamom production is inseparable from the role of farmers as the main actors in supporting cardamom productivity. This study aims to analyze the characteristics and socio-economic motivations of cardamom farmers in Pekuncen and Kedungbanteng Districts, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. This research was conducted using descriptive analysis method using a Likert scale. Determining the number of respondents was carried out using stratified random sampling technique,where in this study the number of respondents was 97 farmers. The results of this study are that the majority of cardamom farmers are male and are of productive age. Cardamom farmers have the last education in elementary school (SD) and are in the low education category. Cardamom farmers have only started cultivating cardamom in less than 5 years. The average cardamom farmer has a family of 3-5 people. The socio-economic motivations that encourage farmers to cultivate cardamom are divided into three, namely economic, psychological and sociological motivations. Cardamom farmers in Pekuncen and Kedungbanteng Districts are driven by economic motivation which is in the moderate category. The majority of cardamom farmers are in the low category for fulfilling psychological motivation in cultivating cardamom. Cardamom farmers are driven by sociological motivation which is in the high category.

Abstract

Cassava is the third most popular stapple food crop after rice and corn in Indonesia. One of the advantages of cassava that makes this commodity much in demand by national farmers is its ability to produce a variety of downstreaming products, one of which is cassava chips. Rasa Gadung Cassava Chips’ SMEs is one of the cassava processing industry units located in Pemalang Regency so that cassava processing training is always used as the second priority agenda in the local government working plan. However, Rasa Gadung Cassava Chips’ SMEs is not able to keep up with existing developments and is underdeveloped. Even so, this SMEs is still standing in the midst of a pandemic. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify the internal and external factors owned by the Rasa Gadung Cassava Chips’ SMEs. This research was analyzed with a descriptive qualitative method. The selection of respondents was carried out purposively using the judgmental sampling method. The data used are data on internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and data on external factors (opportunities and challenges) for the last 10 (ten) years. The result showed that Rasa Gadung Cassava Chips’ SMEs have 11 (eleven) internal factors and 14 (fourteen) external factors that can be managed in future research using the IFAS-EFAS matrix.

Abstract

Beach Sodong sand is one of the beach sand areas used for rice cultivation. The use of sandy soil for rice cultivation requires more effort than conventional land management and even though it is cultivated on flat land, it must still be profitable for farmers to be considered economically viable. From the description above, the researcher wanted to examine the effect of the inputs used on the production and feasibility of lowland rice cultivation on the sandy soil of Sodong Beach. This study used the analysis of the Cobb Douglas production function to determine the effect of production factors (land area, seeds, nitrogen fertilizers, phosphate fertilizers, potassium fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, labor and growing season) on rice production on sandy soils. In addition, the economic feasibility of farming is calculated by calculating the cost, income, revenue and R/C ratio of rice farming. The respondents of this research were 62 respondents who were selected using random sampling technique. The results showed that the independent variables that had a significant effect on the dependent variable were land area, use of nitrogen fertilizers, labor and planting season. The R/C coefficient in season 1 was 1.18 while in season 2 it was 0.84 which means it is feasible to plant rice in season 1, and in season 2 it is not feasible.INTISARIPasir Pantai Sodong merupakan salah satu kawasan pasir pantai yang digunakan untuk penanaman padi. Penggunaan tanah berpasir untuk budidaya padi membutuhkan usaha yang lebih dari pengelolaan lahan konvensional dan meskipun dibudidayakan di lahan datar, namun harus tetap menguntungkan bagi petani untuk dianggap layak secara ekonomi. Dari uraian di atas, peneliti ingin mengkaji pengaruh input yang digunakan terhadap produksi dan kelayakan budidaya padi sawah di tanah berpasir Pantai Sodong. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis fungsi produksi Cobb Douglas untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor produksi (luas lahan, benih, pupuk nitrogen, pupuk fosfat, pupuk kalium, pestisida, herbisida, tenaga kerja dan musim tanam) terhadap produksi padi pada tanah berpasir. Selain itu, kelayakan ekonomi usahatani dihitung dengan menghitung biaya, pendapatan, penerimaan dan R/C rasio usahatani padi. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak 62 responden yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel bebas yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel terikat adalah luas lahan, penggunaan pupuk nitrogen, tenaga kerja dan musim tanam. Koefisien R/C pada musim 1 sebesar 1,18 sedangkan pada musim 2 sebesar 0,84 yang berarti layak untuk menanam padi pada musim 1, dan pada musim 2 tidak layak.

Abstract

Stroberi merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan di Kabupaten Purbalingga, tepatnya di Desa Serang Kecamatan Karangreja. Pengembangan tanaman stroberi di daerah tersebut merupakan salah satu unsur pendukung agrowisata stroberi petik sendiri. Jumlah petani yang mengusahakan tanaman stroberi dari tahun ke tahun semakin berkurang dan beralih ke komoditas kentang. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis biaya, pendapatan, dan kelayakan usahatani stroberi di Kabupaten Purbalingga. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Karangreja, Kabupaten Purbalingga, Kabupaten Banyumas. Pemilihan lokasi ditentukan secara purposive. Populasi penelitian adalah 110 petani stroberi yang mengusahakan stroberi musim tanam 2019. Penentuan sampel petani sebanyak 35 orang dilakukan dengan metode simple random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan analisis biaya pendapatan dan R/C ratio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata penerimaan dan biaya usahatani stroberi sebesar Rp28.805.500,00/1000m2/tahun dan Rp20.213.793,00/1000m2/tahun, sehingga pendapatan bersih yang diperoleh Rp8.591.707,00/1000m2/tahun. Nilai efisiensi usahatani stroberi sebesar 1,43 menunjukkan bahwa usahatani stroberi di Kabupaten Purbalingga layak untuk diusahakan. Abstract

The primary purpose of this research is to evaluate Cilacap Regency's lowland rice production system. The second step is to examine the features of lowland rice commodity distribution in Cilacap Regency based on locality and specialization and to understand how lowland rice functions as a sector base to support the operations of the food crop agriculture sector in Cilacap Regency. This research employs a qualitative descriptive methodology with secondary data types based on Central Statistics Agency (BPS) documentation for the years 2014–2019. Excel 2010 is used to process secondary data. The output of lowland rice from 2014 to 2019 was the subject of the study. The location quotient (LQ) analysis, locality and specialization analysis, basic service ratio analysis (BSR), and regional multiplier are all used in the data analysis process (RM). The results revealed that the districts of Dayeuhluhur, Wanareja, Majenang, Kedungreja, Patimuan, Bantarsari, Kampung Laut, Adipala, Maos, Sampang, Kroya, Binangun, and Nusawungu were the primary areas for lowland rice commodities in Cilacap Regency from 2014 to 2019. Second, there are no sub-districts in Cilacap Regency that are exclusively focused on lowland rice commodities and the features of the distribution of lowland rice commodities are not concentrated in one sub-district. Third, Cilacap Regency's agricultural activities might be supported by the lowland rice commodity base sector from 2014 to 2019.

Abstract

Kecamatan Karangreja Kabupaten Purbalingga termasuk daerah sentra kentang yang dapat mendukung dan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan pembangunan pertanian untuk dapat meningkatkan devisa negara. Beberapa kendala petani dalam melakukan kegiatan usahatani kentang adalah motivasi petani yang masih rendah, petani beranggapan bahwa usahatani kentang yang dilakukan selama ini memiliki prospek yang menjanjikan dengan memanfaatkan kondisi alam dan iklim yang sesuai dengan syarat tumbuh tanaman kentang. Namun, data menunjukan setiap tahun Kecamatan Karangreja Kabupaten purbalingga mengalami penurunan luas panen dan jumlah produksi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui karakteristik petani dalam usahatani kentang dan mengidentifikasi tingkat motivasi petani yaitu motivasi ekonomi dan motivasi sosiologi. Metode dasar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan menggunakan metode simple random sampling diperoleh 100 petani kentang mitra dan non mitra dan pembagian sampling dilakukan menggunakan metode stratified random sampling diperoleh 17 petani mitra dan 83 petani non mitra. Metode analisis data menggunakan analaisis deskriptif, metode likert’s summated ratings, dan rating scale. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa karakteristik petani dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal yaitu pengalaman bertani dalam kategori sedang (57 persen), pendidikan formal dalam kategori sedang (54 persen), luas lahan dalam kategori sedang (59 persen), pendapatan petani dalam kategori tinggi (80 persen), dan faktor eksternal yaitu sarana produksi berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi (92 persen), ketersediaan modal dalam kategori tinggi (61 persen), jaminan harga pada kategori tinggi (62 persen) dan kehadiran penyuluh pada kategori sedang (54 persen). Tingkat motivasi dari segi ekonomi dalam usahatani kentang berada dalam kategori tinggi sebesar (74 persen) dan tingkat motivasi sosiologi dalam usahatani kentang berada pada kategori sedang sebesar (48 persen).

Abstract

People consume black tea and green tea with certain characteristics in accordance with their wishes and needs. The rating of the product shows the attitude of the people towards a product as well and also reflects their preferences in spending and consuming a product. The aim of this research is to analyse the characteristics of black tea and green tea consumers, to analyse green tea and black tea consumption patterns, and to analyse the components that consideration the preferences of black tea and green tea consumers. Research was held in Southern Purwokerto Sub-district, started from February until March 2020. The number of samples for each black tea and green tea consumers are 50 respondents taken by using multistage random sampling. The analysis which is used is Descriptive Analysis and Factor Analysis. The results show that characteristics of black tea and green tea consumers are women in various range of age. Additionally, married consumers buy black tea and green tea to be consumed together with their family. Perspective of consumption patterns black tea and green tea once a day in the morning breakfast for black tea and in other activities for green tea. The consumption number for family is an average of 50g/months. There are three main components that form preferences on green tea, those are: personality from the tea, identity, and the image of the product. On the other hand, main components that form preferences on black tea are two, those are: image, and identity product.
