Abstract

Salah satu wujud kebudayaan adalah benda fisik atau artifak. Karya arsitektur sebagai artefak merupakan wujud akhir yang timbul akibat adanya gagasan dan tindakan dalam suatu kebudayaan. Gambaran hubungan antara kebudayaan dengan arsitektur adalah perkembangan gaya dalam dunia arsitektur itu sendiri. Perbedaan gaya dalam karya arsitektur yang terjadi antar daerah dan waktu disebabkan karena adanya perbedaan rumusan bentuk estetika masing-masing. Perbedaan dalam rumusan bentuk estetika, sekaligus akan menggambarkan kondisi pengalaman yang diterima oleh masyarakat.Perkembangan arsitektur yang ada di dunia saat ini merupakan manifetasi dari evolusi kebudayaan itu sendiri.

Abstract

Ciri yang kuat dalam penataan pemukiman tradisional di Indonesia adalah adanya konsep kosmologi yang menjadi pijakan dalam mengatur dan menata pemukimannya. Secara umum pemukiman tradisional vernakuler di Indonesia mengikuti pola kosep kosmologi yakni menempatkan pemukimannya berada di antara gunung dan laut atau gunung dan sungai. Secara garis besar, konsep penataan pemukiman tradisional di Bali menggunakan dua konsep utama yakni konsep Tri Angga (konsep tata ruang pemukiman secara vertikal) dan konsep Sanga Mandala (konsep tata ruang pemukiman secara horizontal).

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus causes about 5% of deaths from all total deaths in the world due to lack of self care in DM patients, causing instability of blood glucose levels that cause acute and chronic complications. Nurses have a role in overcoming the instability of blood glucose levels by performing the main intervention, namely hyperglycemia management. From these interventions, Ramadan fasting is a safe dietary choice for patients with type 2 diabetes. This study uses a literature review method with article searches conducted on the PubMed electronic database, Science Direct, and Open Knowledge Maps. The results of the literature review show that the length of Ramadan fasting carried out by participants from all journals is 30 days, with a fasting duration of 10-15 hours/day. Blood sugar levels of type 2 DM participants after Ramadan fasting showed a decrease of 4-43.33 mg/dl, and 1.81-3.01 mmol/L, and the HbA1c value decreased by 0.21-2.2%. The results of statistical tests showed that fasting during Ramadan was quite effective in reducing KGD/HbA1c with a p value of < 0.05. This literature review concludes that Ramadan fasting is effective in reducing blood glucose levels in type 2 DM patients and the practice still conforms to the International Diabetes Federation – Diabetes And Ramadan (IDF-DAR) guidelines.

Abstract

Listening ability is a skill that focuses on receiving, understanding and identifying a sound that includes several components of the language in this case specialized in English. Digital storytelling is the media that combine between audio and visual in story form. The purpose of this study is to prove whether or not there is an improvement in students' listening skills by using digital storytelling. This research used quasi-experimental. The population of this research was all of eight grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Banawa. The sample was 24 students from class D in experimental class and 24 students from class E in control class. After collecting data and conducting simple statistical analysis, it was found that the mean score of the experimental class (26.25) was higher than the control class (22.5). Then after applying a significant level of 0.5, it was found that the t-count (1.84) was higher than the t-table (1.68). It means the hypothesis is accepted. In conclusion, digital storytelling can improve the listening skills of the eighth grade students.

Abstract

An Android app called Cake is dedicated to teaching English. Another option for teaching speaking English is to use cake applications. Because this program is entirely free, there are a lot of benefits. It is not possible to practice speaking, reading, or even listening abilities with this application. The purpose of this study is to determine whether speaking skills of students in SMP Negeri 1Siniu class IX before and after using the cake application were significantly influenced. Quantitative research is used in this study. With a single group pre- and post-test designs, this research design is pre-experimental. This study was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Siniu in June 2024. Abstract

This study aimed to prove whether or not the use of Spotify can develop the listening comprehension of the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Palu. The research design used in this study was a quasi-experimental design, and used a quantitative approach to analyze the data. The population of this study was the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Palu. The researcher used purposive sampling and chose two groups: XD as the experimental group and XE as the control group, which each group consisted of 32 students. The instrument in collecting data was test (pre-test and post-test). The results of this study show that there is a significant difference in the increase in students' listening after being taught through the Spotify application. Data analysis shows that the tcounted (7,216) is higher than ttable (1,670) by applying a significance level of 0.05 with degrees of freedom (df) = 62. This means that the hypothesis is accepted. So, it can be said that Spotify can develop the students’ listening comprehension in learning English at SMA Negeri 2 Palu.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students' perceptions of using YouTube videos as a medium for learning English, focusing on its impact on learning motivation. The research employs descriptive qualitative methods to analyze YouTube videos as a learning tool. Data were collected through structured and open-ended interviews with 20 ninth-grade students at SMP N 3 Sindue Tobata and questionnaires. The findings indicate that most students are motivated to learn English through YouTube videos. A total of 70% of students agreed that YouTube increased their confidence in using English in daily conversations, while 25% agreed that the ease of accessing English learning materials on YouTube encouraged them to study more frequently. All students agreed that YouTube helps improve their vocabulary and pronunciation and significantly boosts their motivation to learn English through engaging and educational content. However, challenges such as distractions and reliance on stable internet access highlight the need for a structured approach to integrating YouTube into learning. The study concludes that students have a positive perception of YouTube videos as an effective tool to enhance their motivation and English skills.

Abstract

Sidomulyo Village in Pronojiwo District, Lumajang, has tourism potential that has not been optimized, especially in the Curah Jero Nature Tourism with a rainbow mist waterfall. Despite offering spectacular views, the lack of infrastructure and promotions has hampered its appeal to tourists. In the UMD 14 UNEJ KKN research in January-February 2024, the focus was on improving infrastructure and marketing. Through discussions with local residents, tourism surveys, and the development of unique logos, the results show that infrastructure improvements and online marketing with distinctive logos can increase visits and the local economy. This research provides guidance for tourism managers and local governments to optimize Sidomulyo Village as a sustainable tourist destination, and can encourage economic growth and tourism sustainability in the region.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa yang tidak memahami tentang materi pelajaran dalam muatan IPA dasar, maka hadirlah solusi mengenai hal ini yaitu pendekatan etnosains pada pelajaran IPA. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengkaji seberapa penting dan efektif etnosains di lakukan pada pelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu dengan studi literatur, penelti melakukan kajian terhadap beberapa artikel yang terindeks serta melakukan analisis didalamnya untuk mendapatkan informasi yang valid dan berguna. Kesimpulan dari penellitian ini adalah etnosains memberikan dampak belajar yang baik bagi siswa, didalamnaya berkaitan erta dengan lingkungan alam yang dapat dikaitkan pada setiap muatan pelajaran terkhusus pada muatan IPA, seperti belajar membuat suatu kerajian yang memanfaatkan bahan alam di sekitar, mengaitkan materi ajar dengan kondisi alam sekitar, dan lain-lain. Kata Kunci: Etnosains, IPA, Siswa sekolah dasar. CONTEXTUAL STUDY OF ETHNOSCIENCE LEARNING IN SCIENCE LESSONS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS ABSTRACT This study is motivated by students who do not understand about the subject matter in the basic science content, then there is a solution on this subject is the ethnoscience approach to science. The purpose of this study is to assess how important and effective ethnoscience in doing science lessons in elementary school. The research method used is the study of literature, researchers conducted a study of several articles that are indexed and analyzed therein to obtain valid and useful information. The conclusion of this research is that ethnoscience provides a good learning impact for students, in which it is related to the natural environment that can be associated with each lesson content, especially in science content, such as learning to make a craft that utilizes natural materials around, associating teaching materials with surrounding natural conditions, and others. Abstract

Recent studies have focused on exploring natural remedies to accelerate wound healing. One such herbal plant is the Ganjan plant (Artemisia vulgaris), which contains essential oils, coumarins, flavonoids, triterpenoids, and phenolic acids, which make it a good candidate for natural remedies. This study analyzed the wound-healing potential of the Ganjan plant using a true experimental research design on 16 male Sprague Dawley rats. The rats were divided into four groups and subjected to different treatments, including a negative control group without treatment (K1), a 10% Ganjan herbal extract ointment group (K2), a 30% Ganjan herbal extract ointment group (K3), and a positive control group with 10% betadine ointment (K4). The ointments were applied once daily for 21 days or until the wounds healed, and wound area measurements were taken every three days. The results showed that the 10% and 30% Ganjan ointments effectively reduced the wound area, and there was no difference in wound contraction between 10% and 30% Ganjan ointment and 10% Betadine. The study concludes that Ganjan plant extract ointment is an effective natural remedy for wound healing and that the best results are seen in the 30% Ganjan extract ointment group.
