Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan pengaruh Whole brain method dan motivasi siswa dalam pemahaman membaca. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode desain faktorial 2x2 (dua per dua). Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah 06 Palembang tahun ajaran 2022/2023 yang berjumlah 103 siswa. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 40 siswa yang dibagi menjadi empat kelompok (2 kelas). Mereka adalah 20 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang terdiri dari 12 siswa yang memiliki motivasi membaca tinggi dan 8 siswa yang memiliki motivasi membaca rendah; dan 20 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol yang terdiri dari 7 siswa yang memiliki motivasi membaca tinggi dan 13 siswa yang memiliki motivasi membaca rendah. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket dan tes tertulis dengan soal pilihan ganda yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t dan Anova dua jalur. Sementara itu, hasil uji ANOVA dua arah menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada interaksi yang terlihat antara strategi seluruh otak dan motivasi siswa dalam membaca pemahaman.

Background: Online learning changes the learning pattern that is usually done face-to-face into a distance education system, so there will be factors that influence it. This also has an impact on biology lessons at Xaverius High School Lubuklinggau. This study aims to determine the perception of the implementation of online learning in biology lessons and determine the factors that influence it. Methods: this research uses descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation which are then analyzed by technical analysis of Miles & Huberman. The research subjects were biology teachers and all students of grades X, XI, and XII science at Xaverius High School Lubuklinggau. Results: the implementation of learning in biology lessons that have been carried out at Xaverius Lubuklinggau High School there are planning, implementation and evaluation activities as well as face-to-face learning, but in the implementation there are factors that influence, namely the material cannot be explained, the response of class X students is less active, supervision of the assessment, the ability of teachers to use various educational applications, difficulty in assessing the character of students, some students do not understand the material provided, and the learning environment. Conclusion. The implementation of online learning that is applied there are still planning, implementation and evaluation activities, but in the implementation there are several factors that influence both supporting and inhibiting factors.

The purpose of this research was to analyze whether or there is a significant influence of the Cooperative Script Learning Method and reading habits on students' English reading comprehension. This research was conducted using experimental research methods. The research subjects were students of Eighth Grade Students at SMP Negeri 27 Palembang, with their parallel classes and there were 68 students. Each class consists of 34 students and the entire population is taken as a sample, then divided into two groups. high and low reading habit taught by Cooperative Script Learning Method. The instrument used to collect the data was a multiple choice test set. Pre-test and post-test were given. Data were collected statistically by applying the t-test formula. The results showed that the observed t was higher than the table value 9.710 > 1.690 at a significant level of 0.05 and the degree of freedom (df) was 33. The null hypothesis isrejected and the alternative accepted. This has a significant effect on the average reading comprehension between students with high and low reading habits when taught using the Cooperative Script Learning Method.

This study aims to improve the mastery of concepts in protist material in class X SMA Muhammadiyah Sekayu through the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) models. The sample of research was grade X high school students of Muhammadiyah Sekayu, consisting of 13 students: 6 female and 7 male students. It is classroom action research with three cycles. The stages carried out in the study were (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, (4) reflection. The achievement indicator is 75% in classical scale. The results showed that the the mastery of studentsâ€™ concepts in classical are 0% in the first cycle, 30% in the second cycle, and 75% in the third cycle. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model can improve the mastery of studentsâ€™ concepts in the protist material in class X SMA Muhammadiyah Sekayu. Keywords: Concept Mastery, Problem Based Learning Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki penguasaan konsep pada materi Protista di kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah Sekayu melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah Sekayu yang berjumlah 13 siswa, terdiri dari 6 siswa perempuan dan 7 siswa laki-laki. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan tiga siklus. Tahapan yang dilaksanakan dalam penelitian meliputi (1) Perencanaan; (2) Pelaksanaan; (3) Pengamatan; (4) Refleksi. Capaian indikator keberhasilan penelitian adalah perolehan nilai hasil tes penguasaan konsep secara klasikal 75%. Hasil penguasaan konsep siswa secara klasikal yaitu 0% pada siklus pertama, 30% pada siklus kedua, dan 75% pada siklus ketiga. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan adanya penerapan model PBL dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi Protista di kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah Sekayu. The online learning system is one from of realizing Revolution 4.0 which focuses on technology based learning. Online learning is learning without face to face directly between lecturers and students, but is carried out by utilizing information technology. The purpose of this study was to find out the description of online biology learning during the Covid-19 pandemic FKIP Muhammadiyah University of Palembang. This type of research is a qualitative research. The results of this study are that there are three activities, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. In planning activities, the lecturer make RPS or SAP and also prepares teaching materials. Besides that, students also do planning starting from the place, completeness of stationery, and readiness to learn. In the implementation of learning applications that are often used zoom and whatsapp. The learning method used is question and answer discussion. The obstacle that is very often encountered in online learning is the signal problem. The readiness of students and lecturers during the online learning process is quite good. The characteristics of students in online learning look more creative. The form of evaluation is in the form of assignments after the end of the lecture and the application used by Whatsapp. For the final semester exam, it is done in writing with the lecturer sending questions in the whatsapp group. Abstrak. Sistem pembelajaran daring salah satu bentuk untuk mewujudkan Revolusi Industri 4.0 yang menitikberatkan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Pembelajaran daring merupakan pembelajaran tanpa tatap muka secara langsung antara dosen dan mahasiwa, tetapi dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pembelajaran daring biologi di masa pandemi Covid-19 FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat tiga kegiatan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Pada kegiatan perencanaan dosen membuat RPS atau SAP dan juga mempersiapkan bahan ajar selain itu mahasiswa juga melakukan perencanaan mulai dari tempat, kelengkapan alat tulis, dan kesipan belajar. Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran aplikasi yang sering digunakan zoom dan whatsapp. Metode pembelajaran yang dipakai diskusi tanya jawab. Kendala yang sangat sering ditemui dalam pembelajaran daring adalah masalah sinyal. Untuk kesiapan mahasiswa dan dosen selama proses pembelajaran daring cukup baik. Karakteristik mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran daring ini terlihat lebih kreatif. Bentuk evaluasi berupa tugas-tugas setelah akhir perkuliahan dan aplikasi yang digunakan whatsapp. Untuk ujian akhir semester dilakukan secara tertulis dengan dosen mengirimkan soal-soal di grup whatsapp.

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes of Lubuklinggau State High School students using a Virtual Laboratory in class XI MIA in the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year on the Excretion System material. Methods: The sample of this study was 133 students, consisting of 68 control class students and 65 experimental class students, selected using simple random sampling technique. The design used is the pre-test and post-test control group design. Quantitative research data in the form of students' cognitive learning outcomes, namely pre-test scores and post-test scores. Results: The results showed that there was a significant increase in learning outcomes using a virtual laboratory as seen by the Independent t test (sig 0.000 < 0.05) and the sample paired t test to see the effect of using a virtual laboratory in the experimental class (sig 0.000 <0, 05). This means that using a virtual laboratory can have an influence on student learning outcomes in the experimental class. Conclusion: There is an increase in student learning outcomes of SMA Negeri Lubuklinggau by using a Virtual Laboratory. Key words: Learning Outcome, Virtual Laboratory AbstrakÂ Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri Lubuklinggau menggunakan Laboratorium Virtual pada kelas XI MIA semester genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020 pada materi Sistem Eksresi. Metode: Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 133 siswa, terdiri dari 68 siswa kelas kontrolÂ dan 65 siswa kelas eksperimen, dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Desain yang digunakan yaitu desain pre-test and post-test control group design. Data penelitian kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar kognitif siswa yakni nilai pre-test dan nilai post-test. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar menggunakan laboratorium virtual dilihat dengan uji Independent t test (sig 0,000 < 0,05) dan uji sample paired t test untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaaan laboratorium virtual pada kelas eksperimen (sig 0,000<0,05). Artinya dengan menggunakan laboratorium virtual dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen. Kesimpulan: Terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri Lubuklinggau dengan menggunakan Laboratorium Virtual. Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar, Laboratorium Virtual.

This study discusses about the influence of applying Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) and learning motivation towards the students’ writing interest on descriptive text at SMP Negeri 1 Sembawa. Pictures are just a medium to draw students' interest. Strategy is needed to make the understanding of the material come to students easier. Visual materials have main function to help create a situation become interesting in language lesson. There is comprehension and intuition of students with varying interpretations that can be built. PWIM is a strategy which allows the students to use their imagination to make sentences based on the words/phrases provided in the picture. The pictures used are associated with words describing familiar objects and the student find words out. The words will help the students to have idea in writing sentences while seeing the picture associated with words/phrases. Interest is being one of the important factors in order to increase the students’ comprehension achievement in writing.

This study explores the impact of Task-Based Learning (TBL) and student motivation on the reading comprehension abilities of eighth-grade students with a moderate level of English proficiency. The research aims to assess the effectiveness of TBL in improving reading comprehension outcomes and investigate the relationship between TBL, student motivation, and reading comprehension performance. The study includes sixty-four participants aged 12-14 from a public junior high school in Palembang, Indonesia. The control group receives traditional instruction, while the experimental group is taught using TBL. Pretests and posttests evaluate reading comprehension, and a questionnaire measures student motivation levels. The results reveal significant improvements in reading comprehension scores for both groups. The experimental group demonstrates an average post-test score increase of 69.88%, indicating the efficacy of TBL. While student motivation influences outcomes, no significant interaction with TBL is observed. These findings emphasize the effectiveness of TBL in enhancing reading comprehension for students with moderate English proficiency and underscore the importance of considering motivation in instructional practices. Educators can utilize these insights to enhance instructional strategies and optimize reading comprehension outcomes for similar student populations.

This research was aimed at finding out the similarities, and dissimilarities, as well as possible learning problems faced by the students learning English and Indonesian idioms of animals, and also as the recommendations to TEFL. This research was regarded as descriptive research desig.n To collect the data, the researchers used documentation technique. To analyze the data, the researchers used a descriptive analysis. The results showed that there were two similarities and two dissimilarities between English and Indonesian idioms of animals. The two similarities were in word choices and meanings, while the two dissimilarities were were also in word choices and meanings. The possible learning problems faced by the students learning English and Indonesian were that they were perplexed with the meanings inside the idioms which has implied gloss. The recommendations of this research was as a fundamental teaching guidance in helping English teachers design a better teaching idioms of animals.
