Abstract

Competency certification ensures vocational quality but encounters hurdles during curriculum shifts. This study analyzes the challenges and readiness of implementing competency certification in the Visual Communication Design (DKV) program at SMKN Tutur during its transition from Multimedia. Employing a descriptive qualitative case study, data were collected via interviews, observations, and documentation from the LSP Head, assessors, teachers, and students selected through purposive sampling. The analysis utilized an interactive model involving data condensation and verification. The results indicate that while the "Content Creator" scheme yielded a 97.2% graduation rate, critical challenges persist regarding limited equipment specifications, assessor unpreparedness for new standards, and instrument misalignment with the curriculum. It is concluded that optimal certification requires synchronizing assessment tools with industrial needs and upgrading human resource capacity, as current institutional support acts only as a temporary buffer against infrastructure deficits.

Abstract

Oral health is a major concern in Indonesia, which is caused by bacteria infections in oral cavity.¹ Bacteria such as Staphylococcus play a crucial role in the development of dental diseases, showing the need for improving oral hygiene to prevent infections.² Therefore, this research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of mackerel fish oil (Rastrelliger sp.) emulgel against Staphylococcus aureus using the disk diffusion method in an in vitro. The investigation was carried out using an experimental laboratory design with a post-test only control group through the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. The samples consisted of various concentrations of mackerel fish oil emulgel (10, 5, 2.5, 1.25, 0.62, and 0.31%). Clinium® gel 1% was used as a positive control, while gel base was served as a negative control. The formation of inhibition zone diameter after 24 hours of incubation was measured in millimeters (mm) using a vernier caliper. The results showed that mackerel fish oil (Rastrelliger sp.) emulgel had antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus. The mean inhibition zone diameters observed at concentrations 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25, 0.62, and 0.31% were 16.99 mm, 13.23 mm, 10.32 mm, 7.18 mm, and 6.23 mm. Mackerel fish oil (Rastrelliger sp.) emulgel showed effective antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus in an in vitro setting.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pecampuran pakan yang masih manual dengan waktu yang lama dan hasil yang tidak homogen menjadi permasalahan dalam peternakan. Tujuan program ini adalah meningkatkan hard skill anggota peternak dalam mengoperasikan mesin pengaduk pakan berbasis ESP32 berkapasitas 100 kg sehingga dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pencampuran pakan dari kapasitas 20–30 kg manual menjadi 100 kg per siklus. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan participatory learning and action (PLA) dengan menggunakan 7 tahapan yaitu: (1) kajian dan analisis kebutuhan, (2) persiapan, (3) pembuatan teknologi, (4) sosialisasi dan edukasi, (5) pelatihan, (6) pendampingan dan evaluasi, dan (7) penutupan. Penerapan mesin ini dilakukan kepada 34 anggota kelompok ternak Sumber Mendho Nusantara di Desa Sumberpucung, Kabupaten Malang. Evaluasi menggunakan angket pre-test dan post-test dengan indikator adanya peningkatan hard skill mitra dalam mengoperasikan mesin. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman secara keseluruhan sebesar dari 46,67% menjadi 88,08% dengan rincian sebagai berikut: aspek pengetahuan pakan meningkat 20,11%, aspek teknologi mesin dan produksi meningkat 54,57%, aspek pelatihan dan pendampingan meningkat 54,13%, serta aspek dampak dan keberlanjutan meningkat 36,68%. Pendekatan PLA terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hard skill mitra, khususnya dalam penguasaan teknologi.Abstract: Manual feed mixing, which takes a long time and results in non-homogeneous output, is a problem in animal husbandry. The program aimed to enhance the hard skills of farmer members in operating an ESP32-based feed mixer machine with a capacity of 100 kg, thereby improving feed mixing efficiency from a manual capacity of 20–30 kg to 100 kg per cycle. The implementation method uses the participatory learning and action (PLA) approach with 7 stages: (1) needs assessment and analysis, (2) preparation, (3) technology development, (4) socialization and education, (5) training, (6) mentoring and evaluation, and (7) closing. The machine was implemented among 34 members of the Sumber Mendho Nusantara livestock group in Sumberpucung Village, Malang Regency. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires with the indicator of improved hard skills of partners in operating the machine. The evaluation results show an overall improvement in understanding from 46.67% to 88.08%, with the following breakdown: feed knowledge aspect increased by 20.11%, machine technology and production aspect increased by 54.57%, training and mentoring aspect increased by 54.13%, and impact and sustainability aspect increased by 36.68%. The PLA approach proved effective in improving partners' hard and soft skills, particularly in mastering technology, feed production management, and business sustainability awareness.

Abstract

Industrial Work Practice is an important stage for Vocational High School students in applying the technical skills acquired during the learning process to the world of work. Internal readiness is a determining factor for students' success in facing industry challenges. This study aims to analyse the internal readiness of students at Lingsar State Vocational High School 1, majoring in technology and engineering, before participating in pre-school, and to identify factors that affect this readiness. The method used is a quantitative descriptive method; data are collected through interviews. Moreover, questionnaires showed that 84 students had high self-confidence, while 50 felt anxious due to a lack of technical skills, and 38 admitted they lacked sufficient industry experience. A total of 95 students assessed that practitioners' roles are critical in shaping their internal readiness, indicating that educators' mentoring has a significant influence on their readiness. Statistical analysis shows that perseverance and environmental support factors contribute to students' internal readiness. Soft skill training programs, work culture simulations and strengthening psychosocial support, to ensure students have optimal internal readiness before entering the workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to map the trends in the development of technopreneurship learning tools in Vocational High Schools by analyzing the development models, core components, and pedagogical implications to identify research gaps. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA approach and PICo framework, this study selected five relevant articles from Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, and Dimensions databases for the period 2021-2025. The results of the data analysis show that the ADDIE and Borg & Gall development models are the most dominant because of their systematic structure in ensuring technical and pedagogical quality. The main components of the learning tool focus on three main aspects: digital technology integration, strengthening 21st-century skills (4Cs), and technical mastery of entrepreneurial management. Pedagogically, the implementation of these tools has been proven effective in improving student learning outcomes, motivation, and independence, as well as transforming the role of teachers into facilitators in the digital ecosystem. Despite the positive impact, a research gap was found in that current development is still limited to independent modules and has not touched on the formation of a comprehensive digital entrepreneurship ecosystem to overcome the low level of students' digital-preneurship skills in the field.

Abstract

Studi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan relevansi kurikulum di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), khususnya pada program keahlian Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik (TITL), dengan perkembangan teknologi yang terus berubah. Salah satu teknologi yang semakin berkembang dan penting untuk diterapkan di dunia industri adalah sistem smart building berbasis KNX. Namun, kurikulum di SMK belum sepenuhnya mengakomodasi kompetensi yang dibutuhkan oleh industri, seperti instalasi perangkat, konfigurasi menggunakan software ETS, dan pemrograman sistem KNX. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kompetensi yang diperlukan dalam instalasi smart building berbasis KNX sebagai dasar pengembangan kurikulum di SMK. Studi ini dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan serta validasi dokumen hasil telaah kurikulum dan pengembangan Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran (ATP). Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa teknologi KNX telah digunakan secara luas dalam sistem otomasi bangunan, dan kompetensi terkait sangat dibutuhkan oleh dunia kerja. Dokumen ATP yang disusun telah divalidasi oleh guru kejuruan, wakil kepala sekolah urusan kurikulum, dan perwakilan industri dengan hasil penilaian yang menunjukkan kelayakan dan relevansi tinggi terhadap standar pembelajaran SMK dan kebutuhan industri. Studi ini merekomendasikan integrasi kompetensi KNX ke dalam kurikulum SMK, pengembangan perangkat ajar berbasis proyek, pelatihan guru, serta penguatan kemitraan dengan dunia industri sebagai langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan vokasi.
