Abstract

Fenomena campur kode merupakan gejala kebahasaan yang umum terjadi dalam masyarakat multibahasa dan kini banyak ditemukan dalam media hiburan, termasuk lirik lagu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk dan jenis campur kode, fungsi sosial dan makna budaya, serta faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode dalam lirik lagu “Nyong dari Timur” karya Wita Sofi dan Juan Reza. Lagu ini menarik karena memadukan tiga bahasa, yaitu bahasa Indonesia, Minang, dan bahasa dari kawasan Timur Indonesia (seperti dialek Ambon atau Papua), sehingga mencerminkan keragaman dan interaksi antarbudaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode baca dan catat. Data dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi, klasifikasi, dan interpretasi berdasarkan teori sosiolinguistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa campur kode dalam lirik lagu ini terdiri atas lima bentuk, yakni penyisipan unsur kata, frasa, klausa, idiom, dan reduplikasi. Setiap bentuk mencerminkan identitas kultural tokoh dalam lagu, memperkuat emosi, dan menjadi media komunikasi antar daerah. Faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode meliputi latar belakang budaya penulis lagu, strategi ekspresif dan estetis dalam penciptaan karya, serta adanya kebebasan berbahasa dalam konteks nonformal. Kesimpulannya, campur kode dalam lagu ini tidak hanya memperindah estetika lirik, tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai representasi identitas, alat pemersatu budaya, dan refleksi dinamika sosial masyarakat Indonesia yang multikultural.

Abstract

Pendidikan multikultural menjadi bagian penting dalam pendidikan dasar karena sekolah dasar merupakan ruang awal bagi siswa untuk mengenal, menerima, dan menghargai keberagaman. Pembahasan yang secara khusus menghubungkan implementasi pendidikan multikultural dengan pembentukan kesadaran sosial siswa sekolah dasar masih perlu diperkuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendidikan multikultural dalam membangun kesadaran sosial siswa sekolah dasar. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode literature review. Sumber data diperoleh dari artikel ilmiah, prosiding, dan hasil penelitian yang relevan dengan pendidikan multikultural, kesadaran sosial, toleransi, empati, kerja sama, serta penghargaan terhadap perbedaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui penelusuran literatur pada Google Scholar, Garuda, DOAJ, dan portal jurnal nasional, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan multikultural dapat diterapkan melalui integrasi nilai keberagaman dalam pembelajaran, pembiasaan sikap toleran, kegiatan kolaboratif, budaya sekolah yang inklusif, dan keteladanan guru. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan multikultural berperan dalam membangun empati, kepedulian sosial, kerja sama, dan sikap saling menghargai.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the importance of non-academic appreciation in building the confidence of elementary school students. The research uses a qualitative approach with a type of library research that focuses on the analysis of various scientific literature on strengthening self-efficacy, non-academic awards, and psychological development of elementary school-age children. Data collection was carried out through documentation studies of books, journal articles, and research results obtained from Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and the Garuda Portal. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data classification, data interpretation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that non-academic appreciation has a significant influence on the formation of confidence and self-efficacy of elementary school students. Recognition of talents in the fields of art, sports, leadership, and social character can increase intrinsic motivation, courage to try new things, and students' mental resilience in the face of academic pressure. In addition, non-academic appreciation also acts as a psychological buffer that helps students reduce their sense of inferiority due to academic comparisons in the school environment. This study concludes that elementary schools need to build a learning environment that is inclusive and friendly to the diversity of students' potential through collaboration between teachers and parents in providing recognition for each child's talents and efforts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the critical reading literacy profile of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Muara Bungo in analyzing Indonesian language texts, to identify influencing factors, and to explore the strategies and challenges they face. A mixed method research design with a sequential explanatory model was employed, integrating quantitative and qualitative approaches sequentially. Quantitative data were collected through a critical reading ability test and a literacy perception questionnaire administered to PGSD students. Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs) with selected students and Indonesian Language Skills course lecturers. The results indicate that the critical reading literacy of PGSD UMMUBA students falls in the moderate category (mean score 62.4%). Students demonstrate adequate competence in literal and inferential comprehension dimensions but remain weak in critical evaluation and ideological reflection of texts. Internal factors (motivation and reading habits) and external factors (teaching methods and availability of reading materials) significantly influence literacy achievement. The findings underscore the urgency of developing an integrated and systematic critical reading literacy curriculum in the PGSD program as a foundation for prospective elementary school teacher competence.

Abstract

This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research was conducted in two cycles, namely Cycle I consisting of two meetings and Cycle II consisting of one meeting. Each cycle included the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research instruments used were observation sheets, tests, and documentation. The subjects of this study were the teacher and 22 fourth grade students of SDN 13 Pasar Remaja, Sawahlunto City.The results of the study showed improvements in lesson planning, implementation, and students’ reading comprehension learning outcomes. The lesson plan assessment increased from Cycle I and reached 96% with a Very Good qualification in Cycle II. Teacher activities improved to 90% with a Good qualification, while student activities increased to 85% with a Good qualification. Students’ reading comprehension learning outcomes also improved from an average score of 75.5 in Cycle I to 86 in Cycle II, with the learning mastery percentage reaching 90%. Therefore, the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS) was able to improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 13 Pasar Remaja, Sawahlunto City.

Abstract

The development of information technology has brought about significant transformations in the world of education, particularly in mathematics learning at the elementary school level. This study analyzes the trend of innovation in digital-based mathematics learning media in elementary schools through a literature review method of various scientific articles and journals. The results of the analysis show a shift in the trend from conventional or physical teaching aids to interactive digital media such as animated videos, educational games, multimedia, and Augmented Reality (AR), among others. Digital learning media has proven effective in increasing students' learning motivation, understanding of abstract concepts, and mathematical problem-solving skills. Despite its effectiveness, the implementation of digital learning media still faces various challenges in the form of gaps in technology access and limited digital competencies possessed by teachers. This study recommends the need for equitable distribution of digital-based infrastructure and continuous technology training for teachers at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading comprehension of students. This is caused by the lack of students' reading understanding. One effort that can be made to address this problem is by applying the SQ3R method. This study aims to determine the effect of using the SQ3R learning method on reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in Cluster I of Sawahlunto City. The type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design using a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research population is fifth-grade students of Cluster I Elementary Schools in Sawahlunto City for the 2025/2026 academic year. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely grade IV of SDN 03 Aur Tajungkang as the experimental class and grade V of SDN 05 Kubang Sirakuk as the control class, with a total sample of 38 students. Data collection techniques were conducted through reading comprehension tests in the form of pretests and posttests. The data were analyzed using normality tests. homogeneity test, then continued with hypothesis testing using the Mann – Whitney U Test, and n-gain test. The results of this study obtained data with the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class of 23.33, whereas in the control class it was 15.25. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value (2-tailed Sig.) < 0.001, which means < 0.05, so H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. Thus, these data results can serve as evidence that the SQ3R method can be used as an effective alternative method to improve reading comprehension. After conducting the research, the researcher suggests that in the learning process, the SQ3R learning method can be applied in school learning processes as an interactive learning tool, in order to create a more effective and enjoyable learning atmosphere, which in turn impacts better learning outcomes.
