Abstract

Manual nutrition record system which still have a few of limitation, was already developed into digital information system. The nutrition information system was implemented with the hope that officers can record and report data quickly, accurately and instantly. To determine the success of the information system implementation, an evaluation is necessary. This scoping review was conducted with the intention of obtaining an overview of the implementation of nutrition information systems in the last ten years to date. After screening using the PRISMA flow, 11 articles were obtained that were relevant to the criteria used to conduct the review. Article searches were conducted on four article search engines, namely Google Schoolar, JSTOR, PubMed, and Science Direct. Through these articles, found that the implementation of nutrition information systems has a few benefits and barriers. There are also several factors that influence this, although there are still several studies that have different results regarding the influence of these factors

Abstract

Stunting in toddlers remains a critical public health issue that affects physical growth, cognitive development, and overall well-being. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of training using booklets on the knowledge and attitudes of Posyandu Satellite cadres in accompanying complementary feeding for stunted toddlers aged 12–59 months in the working area of Lamper Tengah Health Center, Semarang. A quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group approach was employed, involving 44 cadres divided into intervention and control groups. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test questionnaires, focusing on knowledge and attitude variables. The results showed a significant improvement in the knowledge level of the cadres after training, with respondents in the “good” knowledge category increasing from 72.7% to 86.4%. Similarly, the attitude of cadres improved, with those in the “positive” attitude category increasing from 22.7% to 68.2% after the intervention. Statistical analysis using paired t-tests and Wilcoxon tests confirmed a significant difference (p < 0.05) between pre-test and post-test scores for both knowledge and attitudes. The use of booklets proved to be an effective and practical educational tool, providing structured and easy-to-understand information that enhanced the cadres’ capacity to support complementary feeding practices for stunted toddlers.

Abstract

Background: Breast milk is optimal for infant nutrition, and to ensure its sustained practice, maternal assistance from partners is essential, so that the breastfeeding process runs according to the expectations of the couple. Objectives: To identify the forms of support offered by partners for breastfeeding continuity. Methods: This research was conducted through a systematic review of qualitative research using three databases, namely PubMed, Scopus, and ScienceDirect, published from 2014 to 2023. The JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist for Qualitative Research was utilized to critically evaluate the included publications, resulting in the inclusion of five studies. Results: Within the breastfeeding context, "husband support" can refer to several types of assistance, including emotional support, seeking breastfeeding information, helping with the mother's work, assisting in parenting responsibilities, and confiding in the mother and financial support. Only two of the seven studies indicated receiving financial support to replace the husband's role. Support from a partner makes a mother feel more confident about breastfeeding her baby. A positive response from the partner will help the mother feel more comfortable while breastfeeding her child. Conclusions: This systematic review provides a valuable reference for future research development by considering the phenomenon of spousal support for breastfeeding participation.

Abstract

The use of natural or conventional-based supplementation has become a popular strategy among athletes seeking to reduce oxidative stress, improve recovery, and enhance athletic performance. This literature review searched four reputable international electronic databases, including PubMed, MedRxiv, Cochrane, and Clinical Trial.gov until December 2021, using Boolean operators with keywords and Mesh methods. The keywords used were "Supplementation", AND "Muscle Fatigue Recovery", AND "Athletes", which yielded 24 articles as study findings. The literature review found that exhaustive exercise can induce a neutrophil antioxidant response by increasing antioxidant enzymes. Nutritional supplements, specifically antioxidant supplements, Branched Chain Amino Acid (BCAA), citrulline, omega-3, and caffeine, have been scientifically proven to reduce oxidative damage, which can block signaling pathways related to muscle hypertrophy. In order to combat muscle fatigue in athletes based on this research (literature review), natural ingredients and synthetic nutritional supplements have been utilized as dietary interventions. This literature review identified numerous natural micronutrients and synthetic supplements used in sports that possess anti-fatigue properties, decrease oxidative stress and enhance athletes' endurance capacity. The effectiveness of nutritional supplements in addressing muscle fatigue may vary based on the various ingredients in the supplements. However, natural-based supplements have become a preferred option among athletes and coaches currently.

Abstract

Stunting, a nutritional concern, exerts adverse effects by influencing the physical and functional attributes of a child's body, contributing to elevated rates of child morbidity. Globally, the prevalence of stunting remains considerably high, registering at 22.2% in 2017, with approximately 55% of affected children in Asia and 39% in Africa. To Evaluate the connection between exclusive breastfeeding and stunting rates in lower middle-income countries. The research design was a systematic review. Article searches were conducted using Google Schoolar, Pubmed, Science Direct, and Scopus databases. The keywords used were "Exclusive Breastfeeding OR Lactation AND Stunting" and "Exclusive Breastfeeding OR EBF OR Lactation AND Stunting". Inclusion and exclusion criteria were used when selecting article titles and abstracts. The study encompassed a total of 9,949 and 16 articles for analysis. Exclusive breastfeeding provides adequate calories to fulfill the growth requirements of toddlers. Consequently, toddlers who do not exclusively breastfeed are at a higher risk of experiencing stunting. Among the thirteen articles examined in this research, an association between exclusive stunting and breastfeeding was consistently observed. Conversely, three articles conveyed no discernible correlation between exclusive breastfeeding and stunting. Furthermore, these articles highlighted the limited advantages of exclusive breastfeeding in preventing stunting. Toddlers who were not exclusively breastfed exhibited a higher probability of experiencing stunted growth, demonstrating a clear connection between the occurrence of stunting and exclusive breastfeeding

Abstract

Stunting remains a major nutritional problem in developing countries, including Indonesia. This research aims to identify the effectiveness of stunting prevention programs in Indonesia. The research method employed in this study is a systematic review based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Article searches were conducted using five database; Scopus, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Google Scholar, and Portal Garuda. The inclusion criteria for this research are articles published in the last 10 years, from 2014 to 2023, with a population in the Indonesian region. Based on the reviewed articles, it was found that the most effective stunting prevention measures include providing nutritional education to influential parties such as community health workers, mothers of toddler, and women of childbearing age or prospective mothers, interprofessional collaboration, and supplementary feeding. Trained community health workers are capable of reducing the stunting rates. Therefore the goverment should stengthen community health worker training to optimize stunting prevention through nutritional education.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious nutritional problem faced by almost all developing countries, including Indonesia. Exclusive breastfeeding is one of the factors that influence the incidence of stunting. Infants who do not receive exclusive breastfeeding are more likely to experience stunting, which will cause children to become easily ill, and it is feared that later it will cause impaired productivity after adulthood. This article review aims to understand more about the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and stunting. The search for scientific articles was conducted through electronic databases such as Science Direct, Scopus and PubMed and 4 articles published in the last 5 years (2018-2013) were selected. The study results from the 4 articles on average informed that exclusive breastfeeding is associated with stunting. In the reviewed articles, mothers who received nutrition counseling may be effective in reducing childhood stunting accompanied by improved feeding practices. To overcome this nutritional problem, the Indonesian government created a program called Keluarga Sadar Gizi (Kadarzi) and Puskesmas is one of the institutions that plays an important role in accelerating efforts to reduce stunting. This study concluded that there is an association between exclusive breastfeeding and stunting

Abstract

The decrease in the number of patient visits indicates low satisfaction and loyalty. RSIA BUNDA Semarang has experienced a decline in inpatient visits in recent years. The research objective is to analyze the influence of customer value, relationship marketing, and customer experience on their satisfaction and loyalty. This is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected by interviews using questionnaires with 244 respondents. Data analysis uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) test to test the influence between variables. The research results show that patient loyalty is not influenced by satisfaction, but is directly influenced by relationship marketing and customer experience variables, while satisfaction is influenced by customer value and customer experience. Patient satisfaction is not proven to be a mediator between customer value, relationship marketing, and customer experience in influencing patient loyalty. Mapping patient characteristics is an important step in understanding patient needs so that they can provide a positive experience for the services they receive, including building good customer relationships to create perceptions of positive value and trust
