Background: The ability of pregnant women to prevent anemia is influenced by their social environment support, such as family, husband, or health workers. However, it has not been known which sources of support are preferred and needed by pregnant women. Aims: This study aims to explore the support preferred and needed by pregnant women in preventing anemia. Methods: This study was qualitative research with a case study approach. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 18 pregnant women at the gestational age starting from 16 weeks who had pregnancy checks at the Sangkrah, Kratonan, and Gilingan Primary Healthcare Centers, Surakarta City. Informants were obtained through a purposive sampling technique. This study used thematic data analysis. Results: Three emerging themes from this study include 1) pregnant women's perceived ability and motivation to prevent anemia; 2) the support needed to prevent anemia; and 3) information technology support for preventing anemia. Some women felt difficulties preventing anemia, especially in consuming IFA tablets and nutritious food; feeling supported and not alone was the motivation to prevent anemia. The most preferred support was from the husband, and the next was health workers. Pregnant women welcome an application with some features to support preventing anemia. Conclusions: Support from husband and health workers is the most preferred. Pregnant women perceive the benefits of using applications that support anemia prevention. It is necessary to develop applications that integrate support from husbands and health workers to create good conditions that enable and motivate pregnant women to practice anemia prevention behavior.

Background: Recently, there has been a significant increase in new HIV infections in several regions in Indonesia, one of which is Pati Regency, Central Java. The considerable barrier in preventing HIV/AIDS is the widespread stigma against people living with HIV (PLHIV). Innovative interventions are required to eliminate HIV stigma, particularly among young people. This study evaluated the effectiveness of the Pandang Dengar Orang Dengan HIV (ODHIV) campaign in reducing HIV stigma among youth in Pati Regency, Indonesia. Methods: This was an experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design with randomization. The residents of Pati Regency aged 15 to 29 years who were active users of Instagram and WhatsApp were involved. The Pandang Dengar ODHIV campaign was conducted using Instagram Reels four times a week for three weeks in the intervention group. The instruments used were the Global Stigma and Discrimination Indicator Working Group (GSDIWG) and the Strive research consortium. The T-test was used to analyze the data with a significance level of 95%.Results: The results revealed a decrease in HIV stigma in both the intervention and control groups (p=0.001). After the intervention, the mean stigma score in the intervention group was lower than the mean in the control group (mean difference of 0.044), however, was not statistically significant (p-value=0.961).Conclusions: The Pandang Dengar ODHIV campaign is effective in reducing HIV stigma among youth in Pati Regency, Indonesia. Further research is needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of campaign in wider audiences and other areas.

Young people are vulnerable to reproductive health (RH) problems due to their engagement in risky sexual behavior. Study of adolescents’ RH education effects on the behavior of the young will add evidence about aspects that directly/indirectly affect the behavior. This study intended to explore the influence of adolescents’ RH education and other associated factors on college students’ sexual behavior using path analysis. A cross-sectional study was conducted from March to Mei 2021 in Solo Raya Residency, Central Java, Indonesia. A sample of 20-24 years old college students from public dan two private universities (n=375) participated. An online questionnaire was used to collect the data. Path analysis was conducted to identify relationships between variables. Path analysis demonstrated that sexual behavior was directly affected by age and pornography access, regardless the gender. Even though factors that influenced sexual behavior differed among female and male students, RH education was proved to indirectly influence sexual behavior irrespective the gender. Overall, sexual behavior was influenced by RH education in the complex mechanism. Improving the information delivery of RH education is needed to ensure all youth, irrespective of gender, benefit from this program. Further study in a more significant setting in Indonesia is required.

The low coverage of family planning acceptors during the COVID-19 pandemic became one concern of public health. This study aimed to analyze the factors related to family planning participation among women of childbearing age during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size was about 373 respondents who were taken using quota sampling among women of childbearing age in Mojolaban, Sukoharjo, Indonesia. Data collection was carried out using an online structured questionnaire. The data analysis used logistic regression. There was a significant relationship between family planning status and husband's support (p-value <0.034), access to information (p-value <0.0001), and access to health services (p-value <0.0001). Multivariable analysis showed that health service access affected women's participation in family planning (OR 4.135, 95%CI 2.276-7.511). The probability of women participating using family planning was four times higher if they categorized them as having high/low health service access. Access to information is the most important factor that women of childbearing age want to use contraception during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, health workers need to continue to educate couples of childbearing ages about the side effects of each type of contraception so they feel safe in their use.

Introduction: Cases of death and infection due to COVID-19 in Indonesia are the highest compared to other countries in Southeast Asia even though there are various types of Covid-19 vaccines in Indonesia. Although the Covid-19 vaccine has several benefits, there are side effects caused by vaccine administration (AEFI). Many studies have been conducted on AEFI of Covid-19 vaccine in the general public, but the number of studies that discuss special groups needs to be studied further. Objective: This research aims to find out AEFI from more diverse community groups so that the results can be used as material for consideration in policy making. Method: This type of research is a quantitative study with a research design using a cross-sectional study design and using the chi-square test. The sample amounted to 656 respondents who were taken using simple random sampling. Data collection was conducted in September 2023 based on a web survey through Google Forms. Questions regarding diet refer to the General Guidelines for Balanced Nutrition, sleep quality refers to the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and anxiety refers to the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HARS). Data will be processed using Stata 18 data processing application. Result: There was no correlation between the factors studied and post-immunization adverse events (AEFI). However, history of atopic disease had an effect of 1.355 times greater than the dietary category which only had an effect of 0.725 times. Conclusion: Factors associated with post-immunization adverse events (AEFI) such as socio-demographics, history of illness, diet and breakfast, history of allergic disease, history of atopic disease, history of anxiety, vaccine complaints, post-vaccine reactions did not have a significant association with AEFI.

Background. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a new issue, known as the infodemic about COVID-19. Individual behaviors in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 are influenced by their level of health literacy. While students are expected to have good health literacy, data shows that a high proportion of students have a lower level of health literacy. Aim. The research aims to assess the effectiveness of participatory learning methods based on a website in improving health literacy among students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method. The research design is an experimental design, specifically a pretest-posttest control group with randomization design. The research sample was randomly selected from 6 universities in Solo Raya that had completed the eHEALS health literacy screening questionnaire. Each intervention and control group had 41 respondents, and data analysis was performed using T-Test Result. The intervention of participatory learning methods based on a website significantly improved students' health literacy during the COVID-19 pandemic (p=0.031). Similar educational efforts targeting a broader audience are needed to enhance health literacy and promote the implementation of health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic
