Abstract

Fire is a disaster and its frequency is increasing every year. Seeing this, it is very important to know the spatial distribution of hotspots to determine the potential for fires in each area. Based on this, it is necessary to conduct research with the title "Spatial Distribution of Hotspots Using S-NPP VIIRS for Early Detection of Potential Fires". This research includes the type of descriptive research. The population in the study were all hotspots in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province. Hotspots were taken from the results of the S-NPP VIIRS satellite imagery recording from 2012-2021. The number of samples is equal to the number of populations. The data analysis technique uses nearest neighbor analysis and descriptive analysis which is processed using Arc GIS software. The research results show that fires occur during the dry season, namely in July, August, September and October. Spatial distribution of hotspots from the results of S-NPP VIIRS satellite imagery based on the accuracy of the most confidence level in July, August, September and October. If the spatial distribution of hotspots is known, it can be used as an early detection effort. Early detection is carried out as an effort to prevent and control fires with a greater negative impact. In addition, with the existence of an early warning system, the community is better prepared to deal with fires so that the negative impacts that may arise due to fires can be minimized, including loss of life and property.

Abstract

Fast and accurate information is a need for people throughout Indonesia, including South Kalimantan, including information related to disaster events. South Kalimantan is an area that has a high level of vulnerability to flood disasters every year. This article was written with the aim of revealing the framing of flood-related news carried out by the online media Teras.7, which consists of related news before the disaster occurred, when the disaster occurred and after the disaster occurred. The limitation of this research is that the news analysis focuses on only one online media, namely terrace7.com. The method used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative with Robert Etnman's Framing analysis approach. There are nine news stories analyzed which illustrate that the news presented by the online media teras7.com has fulfilled the four elements of Etnman's framing, where each report always begins with define problem to explain flood events in an area, diagnosis causes which explain what happened and who caused it. involved, then the element of making moral judgment in the news article accompanied by strengthening arguments supported by statements from sources and the last element, namely treatment recommendations containing recommendations, solutions and follow-up actions that must be carried out.

Abstract

The city of Banjarmasin is highly vulnerable to flooding due to its low-lying geographical conditions, numerous rivers, and significant projections of sea level rise. This study aims to examine the geographical and hydrological factors contributing to flood vulnerability in Banjarmasin, analyze the impacts and flood-affected areas, and evaluate sea level rise projections and the flood management strategies that have been implemented. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method to investigate the causes of flooding and the corresponding mitigation strategies. The findings indicate that flooding is caused by both natural factors and human activities, such as river pollution due to waste and poor drainage systems. Community participation remains low and tends to be seasonal. Flood mitigation efforts need to be strengthened through improved infrastructure, continuous public outreach, and active community involvement.

Abstract

This program was implemented at SDN Belitung Utara 3 Banjarmasin to provide education on bullying behavior to students and teachers. The aim of the program was to improve understanding related to bullying, its types, its impact, and prevention strategies. The program was conducted in several stages: (1) pre-test to measure students' initial knowledge, (2) education through socialization covering the understanding of bullying and preventive actions, (3) post-test to evaluate students' improved understanding after the socialization, and (4) program sustainability through the installation of "STOP BULLYING" educational posters in the school environment. Evaluation results showed a 26.08% increase in students' knowledge regarding types of bullying and how to deal with it. This improvement reflects the program's effectiveness in raising awareness among students and teachers about the importance of preventing bullying behavior. Although there were some challenges, such as limited program scope and budget constraints, this success provides a strong foundation for further efforts to reduce bullying incidents in elementary schools. The continuation of education through visual media is expected to continuously remind students and teachers of the importance of preventing bullying and creating a safe and positive learning environment. Program Dosen Wajib Mengabdi (PDWA) ini dilaksanakan di SDN Belitung Utara 3 Banjarmasin untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai perilaku perundungan (bullying) kepada siswa dan guru. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman terkait bullying, jenis-jenisnya, dampak yang ditimbulkan, serta strategi pencegahannya. Pelaksanaan program dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap: (1) pre-test untuk mengukur pengetahuan awal siswa, (2) edukasi dalam bentuk sosialisasi yang mencakup pemahaman tentang bullying dan tindakan pencegahannya, (3) post-test untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan pemahaman siswa setelah sosialisasi, dan (4) keberlanjutan program melalui pemasangan poster edukasi "STOP BULLYING" di lingkungan sekolah. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa sebesar 26,08% terkait jenis-jenis bullying dan cara menghadapinya. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan efektivitas program dalam meningkatkan kesadaran siswa dan guru mengenai pentingnya mencegah perilaku perundungan. Meskipun terdapat beberapa kendala, seperti keterbatasan cakupan program dan dana yang terbatas, keberhasilan ini memberikan fondasi yang kuat untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam mengurangi angka bullying di sekolah dasar. Keberlanjutan edukasi melalui media visual diharapkan dapat terus mengingatkan siswa dan guru akan pentingnya mencegah bullying dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman dan positif.

Abstract

Kota Banjarmasin mengalami dinamika iklim yang signifikan, terutama dalam pola curah hujan, yang berpengaruh terhadap lingkungan dan perencanaan wilayah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perubahan tipe iklim di Kota Banjarmasin selama periode 2020-2024 menggunakan metode Schmidt-Ferguson, Oldeman, dan Koppen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menganalisis data curah hujan dan suhu udara untuk menentukan klasifikasi iklim dari tahun ke tahun. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa menurut metode Schmidt-Ferguson, iklim Kota Banjarmasin berubah dari tipe C (Agak Basah) pada 2020 menjadi A (Sangat Basah) pada 2021-2023, lalu kembali ke B (Basah) pada 2024. Metode Oldeman menunjukkan perubahan dari C1 (agak kering) menjadi C3 (lebih kering). Sementara itu, berdasarkan metode Koppen tipe iklim kota ini pada 2020 adalah Am (iklim muson tropis), berubah menjadi Af (iklim hutan hujan tropis) pada 2021-2023, dan beralih menjadi Aw (iklim sabana tropis) pada 2024. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi kebijakan adaptasi perubahan iklim dan perencanaan tata ruang di Kota Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Land Capability Unit refers to the process of evaluating the suitability and performance of land for specific purpose. In this context, it involves the assessment of land to determine the carrying capacity for residential land in the North Banjarmasin Sub-district. There are many potentials that can be used as attractions for residents outside the city of Banjarmasin to the study area, such as trade and service activities, education, and even health, which can have an impact on increasing the population. The increase in population is directly proportional to the increase in the need for residential. This study aims to analyze the carrying capacity of residential land in North Banjarmasin Sub-district. The results of the study showed that all villages in the study area had a DDPm value > 1, which indicates that the carrying capacity of residential land is relatively high. This value is an indicator that the area has the capacity for residents to settle.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya memahami hubungan pertumbuhan ekonomi dan kaitannya dengan ketimpangan pembangunan di Kalimantan Selatan. Pertumbuhan ekonomi sering dijadikan indikator keberhasilan pembangunan, namun belum tentu diikuti dengan pemerataan pada kesejahteraan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis laju pertumbuhan ekonomi, mengukur ketimpangan pembangunan menggunakan Indeks Williamson, dan menguji hubungan keduanya melalui analisis korelasi Pearson. Data yang digunakan yaitu data Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) per kapita dan Indeks Williamson periode 2020–2024. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi Kalimantan Selatan bersifat fluktuatif dengan lonjakan tertinggi pada tahun 2022 sebesar 31,30 persen, sementara tahun lainnya relatif lebih rendah. Indeks Williamson memperlihatkan kecenderungan ketimpangan yang meningkat dari 0,38 pada 2020 menjadi 0,50 pada 2023, sebelum sedikit menurun ke 0,49 pada 2024. Uji korelasi Pearson menghasilkan nilai 0,20, yang menunjukkan hubungan lemah dan searah antara pertumbuhan ekonomi dan ketimpangan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak berbanding lurus dengan pemerataan pembangunan, sehingga diperlukan strategi kebijakan yang dapat menekankan pemerataan distribusi pembangunan di seluruh daerah Kalimantan Selatan.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country and a developing country which has the potential for inequality in development. Inequality in development is increasingly felt in several areas, including Jakarta. As Jakarta becomes more densely populated with increasingly complex problems, there is talk of moving the nation's capital to East Kalimantan Province. North Penajam Paser Regency is one of the locations for moving the new national capital. It is hoped that the relocation can overcome population problems and development inequality. Developmental inequality will continue to occur if it does not receive serious attention. Development inequality can be overcome by paying attention to regional potential, especially in the agricultural sector. Seeing this, it is very necessary to carry out research with the title "Mapping Potential Region of the Agricultural Sector to Increase Economic Development in Penajam Paser Utara Regency". The research was conducted in Penajam Utara Paser Regency using quantitative research methods. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques include documentation, observation, interviews, and interview guides, while analysis techniques use Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share analysis. The research results show that the agricultural sector's production results are quite varied, from the production of rice, secondary crops, vegetables, and biopharmaceuticals. The highest production result was rice production reaching a total production of 65,534.9 tons over 10 years. Babulu District is the region that produces the largest rice with a total production of 56,688.1 tons over 10 years. Several types of plants have basic commodities so they have the potential to be developed to help improve the community's economy, even though their growth rate is relatively slow. The relatively slow growth rate for each existing commodity means that none of the agricultural sector's commodities are considered superior or mainstay commodities. As we know, the largest average contribution to GRDP comes from the mining and quarrying sector, like other areas in East Kalimantan that are famous for their natural resources, not the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Kabupaten Katingan menjadi salah satu kabupaten yang potensial mengalami kejadian karhutla. Pada tahun 2023 luas karhutla mencapai 8.945, 8 ha. Tujuan pelaksanaan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai sebaran titik panas yang dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam menyusun berbagai kebijakan atau strategi dalam penanggulangan bencana melalui teknologi penginderaan jauh dengan pemantauan titik panas. Penelitian ini diawali dengan metode studi kepustakaan untuk melengkapi data-data yang diperlukan kemudian dilakukan pengolah data dengan teknik analisis spasial. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa titik panas di Kabupaten Katingan pada periode tahun 2019 hingga tahun 2023 paling sering terjadi pada tahun 2019 yakni 649 titik panas dan jumlah titik paling sedikit yaitu tahun 2021 sebanyak 31 titik panas. Kecamatan Katingan Kuala memiliki titik panas paling banyak yaitu 402 titik panas dan kecamatan yang memiliki jumlah titik panas yang lebih sedikit jika dipadankan dengan kecamatan lainnya yaitu Kecamatan Bukit Raya dengan 3 titik panas. Adapun upaya mitigasi dalam bencana ini dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan preventif dan represif yang meliputi pemantauan, pengawasan, penanggulangan hingga pencegahan terjadinya bencana karhutla.

Abstract

Kebakaran merupakan bencana yang sering terjadi di kota Banjarmasin, Kalimantan Selatan, terutama selama musim kemarau. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui sebaran nilai atau jumlah hotspot pada Tahun 2013-2023 di Kota Banjarmasin dan mengetahui persebaran hotspot terhadap tutupan lahan Tahun 2013-2023 di Kota Banjarmasin. Metode penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data hotspot yang diperoleh dari situs katalog titik panas LAPAN dan diolah menggunakan software ArcGIS. Data citra yang di gunakan adalah citra satelit MODIS, NOAA20, dan NSPP, serta peta tutupan lahan dan peta administrasi Kota Banjarmasin. Hasil analisis menunjukkan naik turunnya jumlah hotspot setiap tahunnya, dipengaruhi oleh faktor cuaca dan fenomena El-Nino. Daerah dengan risiko tinggi kebakaran terletak di kelurahan-kelurahan dengan tingkat kepadatan penduduk yang tinggi. Sebagian besar kejadian kebakaran terjadi di area permukiman, diikuti oleh area persawahan dan pertanian lahan kering. Langkah mitigasi, edukasi, dan respons bencana perlu ditingkatkan untuk mengurangi dampak kebakaran di Kota Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi yang berguna bagi pemerintah dan masyarakat dalam menghadapi potensi bencana kebakaran di masa mendatang.
