Abstract

Kegiatan abdimas ini bertujuan untuk membantu peserta mengatasi kendala dalam berbahasa Inggris, meningkatkan kemampuan, dan memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai format dan tipe soal yang akan muncul dalam ujian TOEFL. Dengan demikian, peserta akan lebih siap dalam menghadapi ujian TOEFL dan meningkatkan peluang mereka untuk mencapai tujuan akademis dan profesional. Keberhasilan dalam ujian ini juga akan memberikan dampak positif bagi pengembangan pribadi peserta, meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, serta memberikan manfaat sosial dan ekonomi di masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (abdimas) berupa pelatihan TOEFL Preparation telah berhasil memberikan dampak positif bagi para peserta yang ingin mempersiapkan diri menghadapi ujian TOEFL

Abstract

This abdimas activity aims to raise important issues related to digital literacy and critical thinking in the context of an increasingly connected digital era. This activity responds to the rapid development of technology and information, where digital literacy is the key to accessing, understanding, and participating in an increasingly complex digital world. At the same time, critical thinking skills are becoming increasingly important to deal with challenges such as the spread of misinformation and the wise use of technology. This activity increased participants' understanding of digital literacy and critical thinking and recognition of the importance of these skills in facing digital challenges. It develops participants' critical thinking skills through interaction, discussion and reflection on related topics.

Abstract

Talking about talent management, it is related to the roles and responsibilities of leaders. Based on this, it is deemed necessary to have a briefing activity that is refresher related to talent management issues, for example, the adequacy aspects related to talent management such as vision, mission and goals as well as the company's strategy to build a talent management system, the main objective of this activity is to provide briefing related to several issues that must be known in advance regarding the goals to be built from talent management itself in the company, this activity is carried out online through a webinar which is attended by the system development team at PT. Indako on February 25, 2022. The results of this briefing activity obtained an understanding that the more specific the company's vision, mission, goals and strategies are, the clearer the goals to be achieved with this talent management system, so that its contribution to organizational growth will be much more leverage and of course This will ultimately increase the productivity of the employees and increase the job satisfaction of each individual.

Abstract

Green deli honey guava (Syzygium aqueum) is a fruit plant that grows in tropical areas. The honey guava plant is popular with many people because it has many health benefits. This research used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two treatments, namely vegetable compost and multi function liquid fertilizer. Vegetable Compost (A) of 4  treatment levels, namely K0 = 0 g/polybag, K1 = 160 g/polybag, K2 = 320 g/polybag, K3 = 480 g/polybag. Multi function liquid fertilizer (K) consists of 3 treatment levels, namely, K0 = 0 ml/ liter of water /plot, K1 = 6 ml/liter of water /plot, K2 = 12 ml/liter of water/plot. That results of this research were that Vegetable Compost and Multi Funcional Liquid Fertilizer had no effect on all observation parameters such as plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), branch length (cm), number of branches (branches), stem diameter (mm). Keywords: green deli honey guava,vVegetable compost, multi funcional liquid fertilizer INTISARIJambu madu deli hijau (Syzygium aqueum) merupakan tanaman buah yang tumbuh di daerah tropis. Tanaman jambu madu digemari banyak orang karena memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak kelompoka (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua perlakuan yaitu Kompos Sayuran dan Pupuk Cair Multi Fungsi. Kompos Sayuran teridir dari 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu K0 = 0 g/polybag, K1 = 160 g/polybag, K2 = 320 g/polybag, K3 = 480 g/polybag. Pupuk Cair Multi Fungsi (K) terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan, yaitu, K0 = 0 ml/ liter air/plot, K1 = 6 ml/liter air/plot, K2 = 12 ml/liter air/plot. Hasil penelitian ini Kompos Sayuran dan Pupuk Cair Multi Fungsi tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap semua parameter pengamatan seperti tinggi tanaman (cm), Jjmlah daun (helai), luas daun (cm2), panjang cabang (cm), jumlah cabang (cabang), diameter batang (mm). Kata kunci: jambu madu deli hijau, kompos sayuran, pupuk cair multi fungsi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kesadaran wajib pajak terhadap penerimaan pajak daerah. Pajak daerah merupakan sumber utama pembiayaan pembangunan di tingkat lokal, sehingga kesadaran wajib pajak menjadi faktor krusial dalam optimalisasi penerimaan pajak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan pendekatan analisis tematik terhadap sembilan jurnal ilmiah yang relevan dan terbit dalam lima tahun terakhir. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran wajib pajak memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penerimaan pajak daerah. Wajib pajak yang memahami dan melaksanakan kewajiban perpajakan secara sukarela dan bertanggung jawab cenderung meningkatkan kontribusi terhadap penerimaan pajak. Selain itu, pengetahuan dan pemahaman perpajakan berperan sebagai faktor pendukung yang memperkuat kesadaran wajib pajak. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya edukasi dan sosialisasi perpajakan yang berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam membayar pajak. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kesadaran wajib pajak dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam mendukung pembangunan daerah melalui peningkatan penerimaan pajak.

Abstract

Staphylococcus epidermidis, a gram-positive bacterium typically found on the skin, can cause infections, particularly in individuals with implanted medical devices. Due to its ability to resist standard antibiotics and create biofilms, finding new antibacterial solutions is crucial. Betel leaves (Piper betle) are recognized for containing active components like flavonoids, saponins, polyphenols, and essential oils, suggesting they could act as natural antibacterial agents. This research sought to assess how well green betel leaf extract inhibits S. epidermidis growth in a controlled laboratory setting. The research involved a laboratory-based experiment utilizing a completely randomized design. The disc diffusion method on Nutrient Agar media was employed to test three extract concentrations (40, 60, and 80 mg/disk), using erythromycin as a positive control and DMSO as a negative control. Each treatment was repeated four times. The diameter of the inhibition zones was measured following a 24-hour incubation period at 37°C. The Shapiro–Wilk normality test, one-way ANOVA, and Tukey HSD test were used to analyze the data collected. The findings revealed that the concentrations of 60 and 80 mg/disk exhibited substantial antibacterial effects, producing an average inhibition zone of 14.25 mm, which was significantly different from the negative control (p < 0.05). In conclusion, green betel leaf extract is effective at suppressing the growth of S. epidermidis and shows promise as a source for developing a natural antibacterial treatment.

Abstract

Consistent and timely fish feeding is a critical factor in supporting optimal fish growth and achieving the expected harvest outcomes. Many small-scale aquaculture practices still operate inefficiently, often resulting in delayed feeding schedules that negatively affect productivity. This community service program aims to provide technical guidance on the utilization of an IoT-based Smart Feeding Fish Automatic system designed to automate fish feeding processes and enable remote monitoring of feed conditions. The system employs a microcontroller integrated with an Android smartphone, allowing users to set feeding schedules and control the device according to specific operational needs. Through this technology, fish farmers in Sukajadi Village, Bogor, are expected to improve the efficiency of their aquaculture management and enhance the quality and quantity of their production.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires teachers to improve their digital literacy and integrate technology into the learning process. However, many senior high school teachers still have limited understanding of basic coding concepts and their application in classroom activities. This community service program aimed to introduce fundamental coding concepts and enhance teachers' digital literacy to support innovative learning practices. The method used included socialization, hands-on training, and mentoring using simple coding platforms. The program was conducted in Kecamatan Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, involving 15 teachers from various subject backgrounds. The activities were implemented through preparation, execution, and evaluation stages. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of basic coding, logical thinking, and its application across subjects. Participants also showed positive responses and increased motivation to integrate coding into their teaching practices. Therefore, this program contributed to strengthening teachers’ readiness to face digital transformation in education and encouraged the integration of computational thinking in classroom learning.

Abstract

This Abdimas activity aims to introduce Internet of Things (IoT)-based technology in the management of the Setu Babakan cultural tourism area, with a focus on creating an automatic plant watering device. The program involves area managers and local communities who are provided with training on the basics of IoT and the application of this technology in assembling a watering device that functions automatically based on soil moisture. The methods used include theoretical training, hands-on assembly practice, and field testing. The results of the activity show that the automatic watering device can improve the efficiency of plant management, reduce manual labor, and support environmental sustainability through more efficient water usage. Despite facing some technical challenges, participants were able to overcome them and gained a deeper understanding of the application of technology in tourism area management. This program also opens up opportunities for further development in the field of environmentally friendly technology that can be applied to other tourism areas. In conclusion, this community service provides a positive contribution to the management of Setu Babakan and can be further developed for broader application.

Abstract

Geothermal Power Plant (GPP) use steam from geothermal reservoirs to produce electricity. Power Plants are one of the most dangerous work environments. The dangers that exist in the power generation process can be in the form of Major Accident Hazard (MAH) and have a large impact which can cause Major Accidents. Major Accident prevention can be done by managing Safety Critical Elements (SCE) as a control measure in the form of procedures to prevent or mitigate the risks. Each SCE has a Performance Standard that includes targets and thresholds set to reduce risk to reach ALARP (As Low as Reasonably Practicable) that will be used as a reference in Inspection, Testing and Preventive Maintenance programs to prevent Major Accidents. This research was conducted to identify SCE and establish Performance Standard for GPP PT XYZ with a capacity of 1x55 MW. Based on the identification results, it is known that the total MAH at GPP PT XYZ is 112. Each MAH was analyzed using a bow-tie diagram to obtain a total of 532 SCE or 8.12% of the total 6,549 existing equipment.
