Abstract

Vocabulary a fundamental component in developing speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills. Without sufficient vocabulary, students find it difficult to express ideas and comprehend spoken or written texts. This issue is particularly evident among students at madrasah ibtidaiyyah, where many learners show limited vocabulary mastery, resulting in difficulties in understanding Arabic texts and participating in classroom interactions. Observations and preliminary data indicate that the use of traditional teaching methods such as rote memorization and textbook-centered instruction has not been effective in engaging students or supporting long term vocabulary retention. These conventional approaches often lack contextualization and fail to stimulate student motivation, making it harder for learners to internalize and apply new words. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Sparkol Video Scribe, an audiovisual learning media, in enhancing Arabic vocabulary (mufrodat) mastery among Grade 4 students at MI Muhammadiyah 08 Lamongan. The research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest format. The participants consisted of Grade 4 students, selected from one Islamic elementary school. Data were collected using pretest and posttest vocabulary assessments, and the results were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test through SPSS software. The findings show that the average pre-test score was 62.73, while the post-test score increased significantly to 96.36. The Wilcoxon test resulted in a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant improvement in students’ vocabulary mastery after using Sparkol Video Scribe. This study contributes to Arabic language education by proving that audiovisual media can improve vocabulary learning outcomes. Future research is recommended to explore the use of such media in other language skills and on broader populations.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a speaking-skill test at the B1 of CEFR, to determine the levels of validity, reliability, and difficulty of each item, and to organize the distinguishing power of each item on the prepared test. This research was motivated by the need of Arabic Language Test as an evaluation activity that required for various purposes. Several universities in Indonesia have also intended the existence of a language test as a requirement for continuing studies to a higher degree or to a place where linguistic proficiency is required or work somewhere. Also, the most important is to upgrade students’ language skills after knowing their language abilities. This test was in the form of an aptitude test or an ability test for each skill in the Arabic language. But in the speaking skill, this test still required preparation and development of more test questions to practice. Apart from the test questions, the method of assessment and the procedures for its implementation also needed to be developed and considered. Then, the researchers took account of the need to compile and make a good test product in speaking skills by following the steps for preparing a standardized test. This was the Research and Development (R&D) with Borg and Gall’s version. The researchers used the ANATES V.0.5 2022 application for processing data and analyzing test results. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the test was feasible because it met the requirements of a good test. The trial results showed high validity and reliability values, and the level of difficulty of each item also had good distinguishing power. Out of a total of 17 questions, 13 questions were stated to be very valid, 2 questions were valid, and 2 questions were striped (-), indicating that these two questions needed to be re-analyzed on what aspects made them less valid so that the questions could be revised. These values were obtained from the results of two trials conducted in the sixth semester.

Abstract

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف العلاقة بين اللغة وعلم الصرف(Morphology) لهما وثيقة الصلة قريبة جدًا وساعدت في قواعد علم الصرف على ولادة فروعها المتنوعة. ووجد البحث أن بعض الأفعال المزيدة الواردة في عدة أشكال من سورة النساء لها تشابه في الأفعال الأصلية ولكنها تختلف في الأفعال المزيدة وتؤثر على معاني مختلفة. الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو أولاً شرح أشكال الأفعال المزيدة أو كلمات إضافية في سورة النساء. ثانياً: شرح المعنى الوارد في كل نموذج في الأفعال المزيدة الوارد في سورة النساء. هذا النوع من البحث هو بحث في المكتبات. بجمع البيانات ، مثل نموذج في مزيد ، أكثرها تتكون على وزن أفعل وفاعل وفعّل من الفعل الثلاثي المزيد بحرف واحد، وعلى وزن افتعل وانفعل وتفعّل وتفاعل مِنَ الفعل الثلاثي المزيد بحرفين، وعلى وزن استفعل مِنَ الفعل الثلاثي المزيد بثلاثة أحرف. ووجد البحث من الأفعال المزيدة تسع و سبعين (79) فعلًا في سورة النساء. ومعاني الزيادة مِنْ أوزان الأفعال المزيدة فيها على معان كثيرة وأكثرها على معنى التعدية والمبالغة والصيرورة والمطاوعة ومشاركة بين الشيئين فأكثر وطلب الفعل. من نتائج البحث ، يقدم البحث اقتراحات للطلاب لتوسيع دراستهم لعلوم الصرف.

Abstract

Teaching a foreign language at the elementary level comes with its unique challenges. Arabic, with its complex grammar and unique writing system, is often considered a difficult language for beginners to learn. The aim of this research is to investigate the Implementation of Cooperative Learning Models on Improving Arabic Reading Abilities in Elementary School Students and the Impact of Applying the Cooperative Learning Model on Enhancing Arabic Writing Skills in Elementary School Students. In this study, a systematic literature review was conducted by referring to various sources in research databases. An initial search yielded 25 articles published between 2020-2023. Subsequently, the articles were screened, and 7 of them were included in the next phase. The results of this study show that the cooperative learning model also influences students' interest in learning the Arabic language. They feel more comfortable speaking, discussing, and sharing ideas in Arabic, creating a positive learning environment. Students' social skills and collaborative abilities are further developed, which are essential aspects in preparing them for the future.

Abstract

تتناول هذه الدراسة التحديات التي تواجه تعلم الصرف في المعهد الحديث دار السلام كونتورالحرم الثاني للبنات، حيث أدت طرق التدريس التقليدية إلى نتائج تعليمية أقل من المستوى المطلوب. من أجل تحسين فعالية التدريس، تم تطوير أداة تعليمية مبتكرة تسمى "FM Smart Finger"، وهي مصممة خصيصًا لتدريس الفعل المعتل لطالبات الصف الثاني في كلية المعلمات الإسلامية. باستخدام تصميم بحث تجريبي، تم جمع البيانات من خلال الاستبيانات والاختبارات والوثائق. كشف تحليل اختبار T عن تحسن كبير في الأداء الأكاديمي بين الطالبات اللاتي استخدمن "FM Smart Finger" مقارنة باللاتي اتبعن الطرق التقليدية. تسلط هذه الدراسة الضوء على إمكانيات الأدوات التعليمية المبتكرة في تعزيز نتائج التعلم في مادة الصرف. يقدم "FM Smart Finger" نهجًا جديدًا في تدريس المفاهيم اللغوية المعقدة، ويمهد الطريق لمزيد من البحث والتطبيق الأوسع في السياقات التعليمية المختلفة.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of the direct method in the Arabic Camp program at MI PAS Baitul Qur'an Gontor. This research uses descriptive qualitative research, and case study data to implement direct methods in the "Arabic Camp" program. Research data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation of data sources in research. The data taken comes from teacher interviews, exam documentation scores, and other related documentation using the Miles and Huberman model data analysis techniques. The research results show that applying direct methods in the Arabic Camp program can improve students' language skills. Because, during this program the participants are accustomed to listening and using Arabic both during learning and in other activities. Apart from that, some problems arise from factors such as students, teaching staff, or time/atmosphere in the Arabic camp program. From this it can be concluded that the direct method applied at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is under child development theory which is aligned with children's language learning abilities, which is said to be the same as a mother teaching her child their first language.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the development of learning speaking skills to improve students' productive language skills at a high level. This research is qualitative research with the type of library research. The research data is in the form of discourse on the development of learning speaking skills for students, accessed from several recent e-journal research results. Data collection techniques are carried out using documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis uses content analysis. The research results show that the development of learning speaking skills for students is divided into three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. At a high level it can be done using various techniques and methods so that the objectives and direction of learning speaking skills are by what was previously formulated. Learning speaking skills is important in training students to speak Arabic productively.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are (1) to explain the characteristics of the teaching module of the Mubtada' and Khabar with examples of the al-Qur'an and (2) to know the effectiveness of the teaching module of Mubtada' and Khabar with examples of the al-Qur'an for middle-level Arabic students. This research is a type of Research & Development with the Borg & Gall model. The researcher uses interviews, lifts, tests, and documents in data collection. The researchers used the Mann-Whitney Test formula for quantitative data analysis. This study introduced a module designed, contained from beginning to end, that is an independent learning that can be used, read, and understood by students without a teacher's explication directly. Another important finding was that the researcher found that this module is effective in improving the student's understanding of the Mubtada' and Khabar.

Abstract

Darussalam Gontor Islamic Boarding School is one of the educational institutions in Indonesia that uses Arabic in daily activity. This institute chooses speaking skills as the first skill to be learned. It cannot be denied that the ability to speak is one of the most important aspects of language activities for children and adults. The linguistic competence of the new students is the main of the research is related to the speaking ability of the first grade students. Researchers found that language advisors have a special role in improving their linguistic skills through various approaches to develop them, especially in speaking skills. Therefore, the researchers specialized in their research on language counseling staff in their efforts to improve the speaking skills of first-grade students because the language advisory staff contributed quite a lot in language activities in this lodge. Therefore, the researcher wanted to know the efforts of the language advisory staff in improving the speaking skills of first-grade students at the Darussalam Gontor Islamic Boarding School of Third Campus Female at 2020-2021. Researchers used a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive study approach, data collection sources used were observation, interviews, and written documents. The data analysis method that the researcher uses is based on the Miles and Huberman method, namely data reduction, data presentation and analysis, then deduction. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that the program made by the language advisory staff include extracurricular activities such as muhadatsah sobahiyah, mahkamatu-l-lughoh, muhawarah sobahiyyah, idofah masa'iyyah, islah lughoh, musyahadah jama'iyyah, drama contests, and Princess and Queen of Language. This activity is a must be annual activity in this boarding school. These activities use a special approach and different methods, including direct methods, auditory and oral methods, and others. The language advisory staff acts as the main person in charge of all language activities at this lodge in and enforcing the language rules in this lodge.

Abstract

Kemampuan guru Bahasa arab di Chongraksat Wittaya School dalam menyusun tes dan rubrik penilaian keterampilan berbahasa arab masih belum maksimal sehingga berdampak terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut klasterisasi permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra meliputi: 1) kemampuan guru dalam menyusun tes masih kurang karena belum menganalisa validitas, reliabilitas, taraf sukar, dan daya beda soal, dan 2) dalam menilai keterampilan berbahasa siswa, guru belum menggunakan rubrik penilaian yang obyektif. Metode pelaksanaan program pengabdian dilakukan dengan pelatihan. Indikator ketercapaian program dilihat dari peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun soal Bahasa arab dan rubrik penilaian keterampilan berbahasa. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan didapatkan bahwa kemampuan guru Bahasa arab dalam menyusun tes dan mengembangkarn rubrik penilaian mengalami peningkatan.
