Abstract

When learning Arabic, students and teachers are often faced with existing problems. Gontor is no exception, which in fact is an Islamic boarding school-based educational institution that upholds Arabic language learning. Broadly speaking, there are two problems with learning Arabic, namely: Linguistic and Non-Linguistic. Among the linguistic problems faced by KMI Gontor class 5-S students are: (a) the students are less proficient in capturing and digesting the material presented by the teacher, where the language of instruction for these materials is Arabic, (b) the students are less proficient in reading bald Arabic texts (Arabic texts without harokat), (c) students are less proficient in the kitabah (writing). Even the writing they write themselves sometimes they can't read, (d) the students' nahwu and Sharaf abilities are very poor. Meanwhile, non-linguistic problems faced by class 5-S students include: (a) students' lack of interest and motivation in studying Arabic so that their abilities do not develop and tend to be very poor compared to their peers, (b) some teachers are less proficient in delivering the material. Actively, tend to only transfer knowledge, not provide enthusiasm and constructive impressions to students during learning activities.

Abstract

This research comes from a special Insya' book design which according to many academics and previous research is effective and able to improve students' writing skills. This research uses the R&D method, namely a combination of qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative segment involves observation, interviews and literature review. Observations were carried out to review how teachers applied the Insya' textbook and how students understood the material they had learned from the Insya' textbook. The quantitative aspect was carried out to determine the effectiveness and suitability of Insya' textbooks which have been designed using Non Parametric T-Test analysis, namely the Wilcoxon Test because the values ​​are not normal and not homogeneous. This research included 60 Class IV Regular & III Intensive TMI Al-Amien Prenduan Students, namely 20 students for the first Pre-Test & Post-Test and 40 for the second or wider Pre-Test & Post-Test. The results show an increase in students' writing skills with an achievement of 20% from the Pre-Test (5.50) & Post-Test (7.68). Therefore, the Insya' book design is effective for use in learning to improve students' writing skills. These results are in accordance with the results obtained from previous research, namely a significant increase in students' writing skills by designing a special Insya' textbook. Researchers recommend further development of Insya' textbooks, especially to improve students' writing skills, especially development of the material or teaching materials that students will study.

Abstract

يتطلب تعلم اللغة العربية فهم أربع مهارات: مهارات الاستماع والتحدث والقراءة والكتابة. بوندوك دار السلام الحديثة جونتور هي مؤسسة تعليمية ذات منهج كوليات المعليمين الإسلامي الذي يدرس اللغتين العربية والإنجليزية. وجد الباحثون صعوبات لدى طلاب الصف الأول في الحرم الجامعي الثاني لـ PMDG في مادة اللغة العربية. أهداف البحث: 1) معرفة الصعوبات التي يواجهها طلاب الصف الأول KMI PMDG الحرم الجامعي 2 في مادة تمرين لوجاه، 2) معرفة جهود المعلم في التغلب على الصعوبات التي يواجهها طلاب الصف الأول في مادة تمرين لوجاه في حرم PMDG 2. يستخدم هذا البحث أساليب البحث النوعي الوصفي. مع طرق جمع البيانات: المقابلات والملاحظات والتوثيق. تم الحصول على مصادر البيانات من طلاب الصف الأول KMI ومعلمة المواد تامرين لوغاه الصف الأول KMI. تكمن الصعوبات التي يواجهها طلاب الصف الأول عمومًا في أربع مهارات لغوية: الاستماع والتحدث والقراءة والكتابة. وفي محاولة للتغلب على هذه الصعوبات، يبذل المعلمون الجهود التالية: أ) التغلب على صعوبات السمع: جمع الطلاب ذوي صعوبات التعلم، باستخدام أساليب مختلفة في التدريس، وتقديم التوجيه الفردي. ب) التغلب على صعوبات الكلام: جمع الطلاب ذوي صعوبات التعلم، مع إيلاء اهتمام خاص، وتقديم التوجيه الفردي. ج) التغلب على صعوبات القراءة: جمع الطلاب ذوي صعوبات التعلم، وتقديم التوجيه الفردي. د) التغلب على صعوبات الكتابة: جمع الطلاب ذوي صعوبات التعلم، وإعطاء الواجبات

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the challenges in Arabic language learning at Subulussalam Islamic Boarding School Kresek, Tangerang. Although Arabic is one of the core subjects taught intensively at the school, various obstacles in the learning process are still frequently encountered by both students and teachers. This study carefully examines these challenges and explores appropriate solutions to enhance the overall effectiveness of Arabic language teaching at the school. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving dedicated teachers and students actively engaged in Arabic language learning at Subulussalam Islamic Boarding School Kresek. The study population comprises 50 teachers and 200 students participating in Arabic language programs. A purposive sampling technique was used, selecting 5 teachers and 15 students from various class levels as research samples. The collected data were comprehensively analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis to identify key issues and explore applicable solutions within the broader context of Arabic language learning. The findings indicate that the primary challenges include limited teaching materials, insufficient language interaction in learning, and a misalignment between teaching methods and students' needs.

Abstract

Teknologi yang terus berkembang dengan cepat mengubah berbagai aspek kehidupan, salah satunya adalah pendidikan dan pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Metode pembelajaran tradisional mulai tergantikan dengan metode pembelajaran online, yang membutuhkan perubahan segera untuk memaksimalkan hasil pembelajaran. Selain itu, hal ini harus dipertimbangkan dari sudut pandang psikolinguistik yang berperan penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa. Tujuan dari penelitian literatur ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pembelajaran bahasa Arab berlangsung di era disrupsi pendidikan saat ini dan perspektifnya dari sudut pandang psikolinguistik. Pembelajaran online, aplikasi pendidikan, pembelajaran berbasis proyek, pembelajaran berbasis permainan, dan pembelajaran berbasis realitas virtual adalah beberapa contohnya. Selain itu, terdapat teori-teori yang mendukung pembelajaran bahasa Arab di era disrupsi ini, seperti teori pemrosesan informasi, teori keterampilan berbahasa, teori pembelajaran kolaboratif, teori konstruktivisme, dan teori kecerdasan majemuk. Selain itu, perspektif psikolinguistik dapat menawarkan sudut pandang tambahan yang harus dipertimbangkan ketika memeriksa transformasi pembelajaran digital dari pembelajaran tatap muka. Kemampuan berbahasa, interaksi sosial, keterlibatan siswa, pemrosesan informasi, dan penilaian merupakan elemen-elemen yang harus dipertimbangkan.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of using the Kahoot! application as an interactive learning medium for teaching Arabic, focusing on developing students' speaking skills and learning motivation. The background highlights the need to enhance student engagement and motivation, which is often limited by traditional teaching methods. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature, analyzing studies related to Kahoot! in language learning contexts. Results indicate that Kahoot! is effective in boosting student engagement through its interactive and enjoyable gamification approach. It provides immediate feedback, accelerating students' understanding of their mistakes, and fosters a healthy competitive atmosphere in the classroom, significantly enhancing learning motivation. In conclusion, Kahoot! proves to be an effective interactive tool that improves language skills, particularly speaking, and creates a dynamic, non-monotonous learning environment, showing great potential for integrating Kahoot! into Arabic teaching, especially in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of audiovisual media in teaching speaking skills to students involved in the An-Nadi organization at the State Islamic University of Mataram. The primary focus of this research is to describe the use of audiovisual media and identify the obstacles and solutions related to the teaching of speaking skills. A qualitative approach was employed to gather data that reflects the real situation in the field, using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The validity of the data was tested through persistent observation, sufficient references, and triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the use of audiovisual media in teaching speaking skills within the An-Nadi organization involves activities such as watching, practicing, and explaining short Arabic-language videos or films. The obstacles identified include student conditions, limited media resources, and a lack of qualified instructors. Proposed solutions include allocating organizational funds, improving organizational discipline, raising individual awareness, and strengthening organizational consciousness.

ABSTRAK Penelitian manajemen pendidikan pesantren ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara jelas tentang hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan pembentukan karakter santriwati di Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Putri 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, peneliti melakukan observasi terlebih dahulu dan menentukan objek yang akan diteliti, sedangkan untuk proses pengumpulan data yang diperlukan peneliti menggunakan cara triangulasi, analisis data bersifat induktif/kualitatif dan hasil penelitian kualitatif lebih menekankan makna daripada generalisasi. Abstract

The relationship between adad (numbers) and madud (counted nouns) in Arabic is governed by complex and strict grammatical rules. Inaccuracies in applying these rules, such as gender agreement (masculine or feminine), numerical forms, and sentence structure (i‘rab), can affect meaning and communication accuracy, especially in formal or religious texts. Google Translate, as one of the most popular automated translation tools, faces significant challenges in handling grammatical structures like adad-madud. Its limitations lie in recognizing broader contexts and applying deep grammatical rules. This study aims to explore how Google Translate can improve translation accuracy in the context of adad-madud and understand the weaknesses that impact its translations. The research focuses on identifying errors, such as gender mismatches between numbers and nouns, incorrect numerical forms, and errors in sentence structure application. As an initial step, this study compares Google Translate's outputs with the grammatical rules established in Arabic. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, using data collection techniques through translation trials. Various combinations of numbers and nouns in Arabic were input into Google Translate to analyze the results. The research results indicate that Google Translate still frequently makes errors in translating adad-madud, particularly in determining gender, numerical forms, and the grammatical position of adad and madud in the context of the sentence. This research addresses a gap in previous studies, which focused more on general, idiomatic, or religious text translations. By specifically examining adad-madud, this study provides new insights into the challenges and limitations of automated translation tools and offers recommendations for developing more accurate translation algorithms in the future.
