Abstract

This research aims to (1) find out the quality the ethno-mathematics of Thinking Aloud Pairs Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning (2) discover the pattern of mathematic communication ability the ethno-mathematics of Thinking Aloud Pairs Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning.  This research uses mixed method type with concurrent embedded design. Quantitative and qualitative research runs together which the qualitative research is as the primer method. The qualitative learning is assessed from (1) planning and preparation, (2) classroom environment and instruction, and (3) evaluation (professional responsibility) stages. The result of this studies shows that the qualitative learning the ethno-mathematics of Thinking Aloud Pairs Problem Solving (TAPPS) is a good categorized. The pattern of student’s mathematic communication with upper group is a student who can explain their ideas and situation in written language appropriately.  Students who can express their ideas and situation on the facing problem in mathematics model appropriately and correctly. A student who can use the mathematical formula correctly to solve the problem. The pattern of student’s mathematic communication with medium group is a student who can explain the ideas and situation in written language appropriately. A student who can express their ideas and situation facing the problem into mathematic mode appropriately and correctly. The student who is not able to use the formula to face the problem. The pattern of student’s mathematic communication with lower group is student who can express their ideas and situation in written language appropriately. A student who can express their ideas and situation facing the problem intro mathematic model appropriately and correctly. A student who is not able to use the mathematical formula correctly to solve the problem.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the generative learning of quality in in creasing problem solving abilities, to test the effect of learning independence on problem solving abilities, and to define problem solving abilities in terms of learning independence. This research method is mixed methods with concurrent triangulation model. The population of this research were VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 35 Semarang in 2018/2019 academic year, and samples were taken by cluster random sampling. The technique collection of data used such as a questionnaire of learning independence, a test of problem solving skills, documentation, observation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used the average similarity test, the proportion test, the average similarity test (two-sample t test), and simple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that students have good problem solving skills because of the enthusiasm in mathematics, understanding concepts, and feeling mastered the material. The study also showed that the generative learning model was declared effective, by indicators namely the problem solving ability of students reaching KKM (Minimum Mastery Criteria), the generative model produced problem solving abilities and students learning independence better than PBL (Problem Bae Learning), and the problem solving abilities of students to the generative model that affected their learning independence.

Abstract

This research aims to describe creative thinking ability seen from self-regulation of the students on Model Eliciting Activities learning (MEAs) with performance assessment. This research was a sequential explanatory. The population was VII grade students of SMP Ibu Kartini Semarang, consisting of four classes. The technique of sampling was purposive sampling. It was selected VII C as experimental group. The subjects were grouped based on self-regulation with high, moderate, and low categories to be interviewed dealing with mathematical creative thinking. The instruments were test and interview. The findings showed that MEAs with performance assessment was qualified well and description of creative mathematics thinking based on self-regulation of the students varied.

Abstract

This research aims to describe mathematics representation skill of students seen from self-efficacy on Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning with corrective feedback of VIII graders. This mixed method research used sequential explanatory design. The subjects were categorized based on self-efficacy categories: high, moderate, and poor. The data was collected by mathematics representation skill test, self-efficacy questionnaire, and interview. The findings showed that students taught by AIR with corrective feedback passed the actual minimum passing grade and had various descriptions of mathematics representation skill based on self-efficacy. It was shown by 4 high level self-efficacy students. They consisted of 3 high mathematics skill students and one moderate level students. From 23 moderate self-efficacy level students, there were 3 with high mathematics representation skill, 19 moderate skill, and one with poor skil. From 3 students with poor self-efficacy, there was only 1 moderate student and 2 poor level student.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kulitas pembelajaran serta mendeskripsikan high order thinking skills melalui accelerated learning pendekatan . Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kombinasi dengan desain sequential eksplanatory. Adapun subjek penelitian dipilih dari kelas XI dengan jenis purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model accelerated learning pendekatan inferentialism pada tahap persiapan hasil berkategori sangat baik, tahap pelaksanaan untuk aktivitas guru berkategori sangat baik sedangkan aktivitas siswa berkategori cukup baik dan pada tahap evaluasi model yang digunakan efektif.  High order thingking skills siswa juga meningkat yang pada penelitian awal memperoleh skor 66 setelah melalui model accelerated learning pendekatan inferentialism memperoleh skor 87 dengan indikator analyze, evaluate dan create terdapat perbedaan dalam menyelesaikan masalah Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of learning and to describe high order thinking skills through accelerated learning inferentialism approach. This research is a combination research with explanatory sequential design. The research subjects were selected from class XI with the type of purposive sampling. The results showed that the accelerated learning model inferentialism approach at the stage of the preparation of the categorized results was very good, the implementation stage for the activities of the teacher categorized very well while the student activities were categorized quite well and at the evaluation stage the model used was effective. High order thingking skills of students also increased which in the initial research got a score of 66 after going through the accelerated learning model the inferentialism approach gained a score of 87 with the analyze, evaluate and create indicators that there were changes in solving problems.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy skills and self-efficacy are important for students to have in learning mathematics. To be able to help improve mathematical literacy and self-efficacy skills, a learning model is needed, namely experiential learning with performance assessment. This study aims to (1) analyze the quality of experiential learning models with performance assessment based on self-efficacy on mathematical literacy abilities, (2) describe students' mathematical literacy abilities on experiential learning with performance assessment based on self-efficacy. The method in this study is mixed methods with a concurrent embedded strategy, namely the qualitative method as the primary method. The population in this study were all students of class VII MTs N 2 Semarang by taking a sample of students VII-D as an experimental class and VII-E as a control class. Research data were analyzed by t test. The results showed that the average mathematics literacy ability of students in the experiential learning model learning class based on self-efficacy was more than the average mathematics literacy ability of students in the Discovery Learning class. Students who have low self-efficacy have not mastered the components of the mathematics literacy process to the maximum, students who have moderate self-efficacy are only able to master the ability to use mathematic tools and the other components of the mathematical literacy process are quite good. Students who have high self-efficacy are able to master the seven components of the process of mathematical literacy even though there are still two components whose completion is less than optimal.

Abstract

Asesmen unjuk kerja atau dalam mata pelajaran pendidikan matematika memungkinkan guru untuk melihat kompetensi siswa yang teramati dalam pembelajaran matematika secara nyata. Menanggapi kenyataan tersebut, perlu upaya pengembangan instrumen penilaian kinerja yang layak digunakan untuk menilai kinerja siswa secara otentik. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan dari Borg and Gall meliputi (1) pendahuluan; (2) pengembangan produk (develop); (3) Penyajian (deliver) produk hasil pengembangan. dihitung validitasnya menggunakan validasi ahli dari ke-empat penilai terhadap instrumen asesmen unjuk kinerja adalah dapat digunakan dilihat dari nilai expert judgment menggunakan Teknik Delphi. Nilai realibilitas instrumen unjuk kerja pada skala kecil soal nomor satu 0,89, Soal nomor dua 0,90, soal nomor tiga 0,82 dan untuk soal nomor tiga sebesar 0,78. Untuk nilai realibilitas pada skala besar menggunakan ICC. Hasil analisis kesepakatan antar rater sebesar 0,935 Sedangkan untuk orang rater konsistensinya adalah 0.940 artinya instrumen mempunyai kualitas stabilitas yang Cukup tinggi.Performance assessment or the subjects of mathematics education allows teachers to see student competence in mathematics learning observed in practice. Responding to this fact, it should be efforts to develop appropriate performance assessment instrument used to assess the performance of students in an authentic way. Development model used in this research is the development of a model of Borg and Gall include (1) introduction; (2) product development (develop); (3) Presentation (deliver) the product development results. calculated using the validation expert validity of the four assessors on the assessment instrument performance is the performance can be seen from the values used expert judgment using the Delphi Technique. Value reliability of the instrument performance on a small scale about the number 0.89, 0.90 Problem number two, number three about 0.82 and to about number three was 0.78. To the value of reliability on a large scale using the ICC. The results of the analysis of inter-rater agreement was 0.935, while for the rater consistency was 0.940 meaning that the instrument has a high enough quality stability.

Abstract

Pengembangan instrumen evaluasi program Prakerin adalah perangkat yang telah di kembangkan sehingga dapat di gunakan untuk mengevaluasi program Prakerin kompetensi teknik audio video yang mencakup komponen input yang meliputi siswa, kurikulum, guru mapel produktif, sarana prasarana, komponen proses meliputi kesiapan siswa, kinerja guru pembimbing, kinerja pembimbing DUDI, output kemanfaatan program Prakerin bagi siswa dan DUDI. Langkah analisis dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada Borg dan Gall ( 2003:271 ) Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik angket, wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Validitas instrumen pada penelitian ini dianalisis dengan mengunakan korelasi bivariat antar masing masing skor indikator dengan skor total, reliabilitas instrument dianalisis dengan menggunakan formula alfa cronbach berbantuan SPSS 16.00 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komponen input 92%, komponen proses 93%, komponen produk 96%, instrument yang di kembangkan telah valid kategori sangat baik. Koefisien reliabilitas angket siswa 0,952, guru mapel produktif 0,974, guru pembimbing 0,936, pembimbing DUDI 0,950, sehingga instrument dikatakan reliabel. Berdasarkan data uji coba pada tahap implementasi, seluruh instrument valid, reliabel, dan praktis, dihasilkan menjadi buku panduan.Development of evaluation instruments industrial practice programs (prakerin) are tools that have been developed that can be used to evaluate the competence Prakerin audio engineering programs that include component video inputs that include students, curriculum, teacher maple productive, infrastructure, components of the process include the readiness of students, counselor performance, DUDI supervisor performance, output Prakerin benefit programs for students and DUDI. The validity were analyzed by using bivariate correlations between each indicator scores with the total score, the reliability were analyzed using Cronbach alpha formula 16 aided SPSS for windows. The results showed 92% of input components, process components 93%, 96% product components, instruments which have developed very good valid category. Questionnaire reliability coefficient of 0.952 students, teachers productive maple 0.974, 0.936 tutor, mentor DUDI 0.950, so the instrument said to be reliable. Based on test data on the implementation phase, the entire instrument is valid, reliable, and practical, resulting into a guide book.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian menghasilkan buku panduan guru tentang instrumen asesmen sikap siswa pada pembelajaran matematika SMP berbentuk skala sikap (penilaian diri) dan lembar pengamatan guru (orang lain). Data diperoleh di SMPN 1 Bolo Kabupaten Bima NTB dengan subjek penelitian 100 siswa dan 4 guru matematika. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa lembar observasi, kamera/alat perekam, pedoman wawancara, angket dan skala sikap. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode campuran dengan desain pengembangan instrumen afektif mengacu Mardapi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data kualitatif menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik, validitas, daya beda butir, reliabilitas dan analisis faktor ekploratori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari validasi ahli, 50 butir instrumen awal layak diujicobakan ke skala kecil dengan 27 butir berkategori cukup memadai dan 23 butir berkategori memadai. Hasil uji coba skala kecil, terdapat 32 butir yang berkategori valid dan instrumen reliabel dengan α = 0,85. Setelah instrumen diperbaiki, instrumen digunakan untuk uji coba skala luas dengan subjek 100 siswa dan hasilnya instrumen reliabel dengan rxx=0,73 serta instrumen mampu mengungkap variabel sikap siswa yang diukur sebesar 67,53% dengan jumlah komponen yang terbentuk sebanyak tiga faktor yaitu Jujur, Interaksi lingkungan dan Serius. The purpose of this research is to produce assessment instrument the attitude of the students in the mathematics teaching JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL in the form of attitude scale (self-assessment) and teacher observation sheet (others). The Data obtained at SMPN 1 Bolo Bima Regency NTB with research subject 100 students and 4 mathematics teacher. The instrument data collector in the form of observation sheet, camera/recorders, guidelines, interview questionnaires and attitude scale. The research method used is mixed method with the design of the development of affective instrument by Mardapi. Analysis of the data using the analysis triangulation source and techniques, the validity of the different power point, reliability and factor analysis ekploratori. The results of the study showed from examine the expert team, 50 items early instrument worthy trialled to small scale with 27 items category is adequate and 23 items very adequate category. The results of the small scale test there are 32 items valid category and reliability instrument with α = 0.85. After the instrument repair, instruments used to test large-scale with the subject of 100 students and as a result the instrument reliability with rxx=0.73 obligation and able to reveal the variables measured students attitude of 67,53% with a number of components that are formed as many as three factors namely honest, environmental interaction and serious.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian karakter percaya diri pada mata pelajaran matematika SMP. Penelitian menggunakan metode pengembangan instrumen. Pengumpulan data melalui angket penilaian diri siswa. Alat pengumpulan data divalidasi 3 Expert Judgment dianalisis menggunakan formula Aiken’V dan uji lapangan penilaian diri dianalisis menggunakan validitas konstruk Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), reliabilitas dianalisis menggunakan Alpha Cronbach. Hasil validasi Expert Judgment menunjukkan validitas ≥ 0,3 bahwa seluruh item valid, reliabilitas antar-rater menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Hasil KMO = 0,710 dan rata-rata MSA = 0,752 pada uji coba pertama dan pada uji coba kedua KMO = 0,838 dan rata-rata MSA = 0,858. Berdasarkan muatan faktor terdapat 31 item yang memiliki nilai ≥ 0,3, maka keseluruhan item valid. Reliabilitas uji coba pertama 0,906 dan uji coba ke dua 0,923. Berdasarkan hasil analisis EFA instrumen yang dikembangkan memiliki reliabilitas yang tinggi dan lebih besar dibanding kriteria minimum = 0,6. Faktor-faktor karakter percaya diri terdiri dari 8 faktor yaitu; tidak putus asa, kemampuan diri, usaha sendiri, menyampaian pendapat, bertanggung jawab, komunikasi, membantu sesama, dan cita-cita. Produk akhir hasil penelitian berupa instrumen penilaian karakter percaya diri yang valid, reliabel, dikemas dalam bentuk buku panduan instrumen penilaian karakter. This study aims to develop a confident character assessment instrument on junior mathematics subjects. The research uses the development of the instrument. Data collection through self-assessment students questionnaires. The data collection tool validated of 3 Expert Judgment was analyzed using Aiken formula, self-assessment analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) construct validity, reliability was analyzed using Cronbach Alpha. Expert Judgment validation results show the validity of ≥ 0.3 that all items are valid, inter-rater reliability shows no significant difference. The KMO result = 0.710 and the mean MSA = 0.752 in the first trial and in the second trial KMO = 0.838 and the mean MSA = 0.858. Based on the factor load there are 31 items that have value ≥ 0.3, then the whole item is valid. The reliability of the second test is 0.923 and the first test is 0.906. Based on the result of EFA analysis the developed instrument has high reliability and greater than minimum criterion = 0,6. The factors of confident character consists of 8 factors namely; Not despair, self-efficacy, self-effort, expressing opinions, being responsible, communicating, helping others, and ideals. The final product of the research result is a valid, reliable, self-confident, valid character assessment instrument in the form of a character assessment instrument manual.
