Abstract

Public relations, as one of the strategies are quite effective for building the image, as well as long-term relationship with the community or public. This strategy is often combined with a political strategy to win a pair of political party candidates, which is the background of the writing of this scientific work ; the intention to won Irzal Ilyas and Alfauzi Bote as pair of political candidates to become mayor and deputy mayor of Solok period 2016-2021. There need to be applied various effective PR tools such as events, merchandising, advertising combined with two way communication to be established with both among the community leaders, traditional leaders and communities in Solok During the effective PR branding is applied, unique creative strategies is needed in order to create a positioning of the candidate to be accepted by the public successfuly. One of them by creating a tagline, and supporting visual design. In the progress, all of these tools will be in synergy with each other, to lead a better perception from the public about the candidate image. This “Kita Sahabat Imam” campaign has succeeded in shaping good public perception about the candidate image. although PR as one of the major contributing factors. but in the end, in the social and political world, there are always other major factors that determine the success of the elections of the candidate.

Abstract

As social media, Instagram was a place to share ideas through photos and videos whose represent the self concept of the users. One of them is Dubsmash video which made the creators have to dubbing and acting even most of them are willing to look ugly. Even so, this video was viral rapidly because of the inherent uniqueness through creativity which different with another upload content type. This study aimed to describe the effect of self-concept and the interaction between users to creativity Dubsmash video production by Instagram users. This research is a quantitative study with explanatory research type. The population in this study is Instagram users whose ever create and upload videos Dubsmash. Sampling technic that used in this study is purposive sampling which determined based on the minimum number of study subjects is 30 respondents (Fraenkel and Wallen, 1993: 92) with a number of 50 respondents to get the varied results. Hypothesis testing in this study using multiple linear regression analysis. The self-concept directly affects creativity video Dubsmash production by Instagram users. The effects shown positive direction, based on the results of the regression test that the significance of self-concept 0.00 < 0.05, it means that the more positive self-concept the higher the creativity in producing video Dubsmash on Instagram. It concluded that Carl Rogers Theory of Creativity is consistent with the results of the research. User interaction also directly affects creativity video Dubsmash production by Instagram users. The effects shown positive direction, based on the results of the regression test that the significance of interaction between users 0.042> 0.05, this means that the higher the user interaction is someone higher the creativity in producing video dubsmash on Instagram, so it can be concluded that the Interaction Theory of Symbolic consistent with results research. The results also showed that the respondents have a self-concept of the appearance, creativity, talents and interests that stand in the form has a characteristic in appearance, the idea and the idea of thinking itself, is proud to show the talent to others and are interested in sharing things they like and follow the trend in Instagram. Interaction likes and comment in the form of comments of praise among Instagram users are also quite high based on the uploaded content including Dubsmash video creation. Respondents also tend to like Dubsmash video which has a unique concept and makes it different from the others with ideas derived from the reference in the aneighborhood. This is consistent with the theory used is the theory of Carl Rogers Creativity and theory of Symbolic Interaction.

Abstract

The Constitutional Court is one of the state institutions that conduct independent judicial power to hold a court in order to enforce law and justice in Indonesia that became a proof of state agencies was also not spared from the crisis. The Chairman of the Constitutional Court in 2013, Akil Mochtar caught red-handed by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for allegedly receiving bribe money for handling election disputes Gunung Mas, Central Kalimantan and elections Lebak, Banten. Since the arrest of Akil Mochtar, the media reports negative opinion, so that this crisis into the acute stage. This study used a qualitative approach and constructivism, this research aims to describe the crisis management strategy of the Constitutional Court to face the negative media reports and described the Constitutional Court’s efforts to restore public trust. The theory used include; Weyerhaeuser Issues Management Process, Crisis Cluster, Image Restoration Theory and Strategy Formulation for Crisis Management. The unit of observation in this study is the Constitutional Court of the Republic Indonesia, and the unit of research analysis are those that directly relate of the handling the crisis of the Constitutional Court of Akil Mochtar’s case. This study found that the Constitutional Court seeks to overcome the crisis by always doing the press conference conducted on an ongoing basis information of the arrest of Akil Mochtar, constitutional judges present testified at the Commission, establish the Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court as a device to monitor constitutional justices, constitutional judges forms Ethics Council, and inviting advocates to report to the Constitutional Court if known some legal lobbying efforts, do a media relations activity by visiting the Liputan6.com’s office. This study concluded that the crisis experience of the Constitutional Court in Akil Mochtar’s case included to crisis public relations, where the crisis is categorized as intentional cluster crisis. Crisis management strategy used by the Constitutional Court, among others; corrective action, mortification, and adaptive change strategy.

Abstract

Failure to communicate is one of the root causes of the most common causes of patient safety incidents. Communication determining success in helping to resolve the patient's health problems. Performance communication services medical or nonmedical personnel in the process of medical treatment is part of a health communication. Health communication is a communication process that involves health messages, elements or participant communication. Semarang Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital is a private hospital grade B. The hospital is able to provide services of medical specialists and subspecialists limited. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication performance of medical and non medical services in the process of medical treatment RSI Sultan Agung Semarang. The theory of reputation used to determine how performance should be owned by a health-care facility, which especially its RSI Sultan Agung Semarang as research objects. The population used is the patient who is in Islam Sultan Agung Hospital Semarang with criteria outpatients from a specialist, and already control at least 3 times, which in total amounted to 97 people. Research shows the majority of respondents expressed satisfaction with the communication performance of medical and non medical services RSI Sultan Agung. However, there are also consumers RSI Sultan Agung Semarang who felt unserved optimal communication of medical or non-medical RSI Sultan Agung Semarang. The study then provides suggestions for RSI Sultan Agung Semarang can further improve the performance of the communication performance of medical and non medical personnel to give more comfort to patients and consumers as a whole.

Abstract

Televisi merupakan media audiovisual yang saat ini paling banyak digunakan masyarakat untuk memperoleh informasi dan hiburan. Secara psikologis, masyarakat akan lebih tertarik ketika suatu acara yang dikemas menampilkan peristiwa-peristiwa pada tempatyang paling dekat dengan tempat tinggalnya. Artinya, unsur kedekatan (proximity) merupakan kelebihan televisi lokal yang tidak dimiliki televisi nasional.Gitaran Sore-Sore sebagai salah satu program talkshow di televisi lokal Pro TV, mengangkat tema-tema yang mempunyai unsur proximity dengan menghadirkan komunitas-komunitas lokal yang ada di Semarang. Keunikan yang hanya dapat ditemukan pada komunitas di Semarang ini menjadi daya tarik yang diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi dan inspirasi bagi masyarakat khusunya anak muda.Tugas Floor Director atau FD pada program tayangan Gitaran Sore-Sore adalah sebagai penanggungjawab rundown, checking studio yang bersifat non teknis, menyampaikan pesan dari Program Director atau PD, mengarahkan pengisi acara dan timekeeping.Karya bidang acara yang tayang secara live di Pro TV ini, dapat disaksikan setiap hari Rabu dan Kamis mulai tanggal 29 September hingga 13 November 2014 pukul 15.00 WIB. Abstract

This research was aimed to study the effect of intensity using social media and communication intensity of parents of children regarding school activities towards rural student learning achievements. The theory used is the Theory of Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) and Theory of Change. The sampling technique uses nonprobability sampling conducted by accidental sampling with a total sample of 50 people with the criteria of vocational high school students reaching 14-18 years in the Boyolali Rural Area and social media actively. Testing used a Simple Linear Regression Test. The results showed that there was participation using social media on student learning achievement with a significance of 0.004 less than 0.05. The intensity variables of social media use as much as 22.7% and 77.3% are needed by other factors such as interest in chat messenger aplication. In the parent communication variable, children related to school activities showed a significance of 0.002 with an influence on student learning achievement 17.9% and 82.1% by other factors such as parents' educational background.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif eksplanatory. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket atau kuisoner. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Kendall dengan bantuan software IBM SPSS dan menggunakan teori pembelajaran sosial, teori komunikasi keluarga, dan teori cinta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan namun tidak cukup signifikan antara intensistas menonton FTV bertemakan cinta dengan perilaku pacaran remaja dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,473. Dan menunjukkan adanya hubungan namun tidak cukup signifikan antara intensitas komunikasi orang tua & anak dengan perilaku pacaran remaja dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,510. Rasa penasaran akan pacaran yang tidak diarahkan oleh orang tua, dapat menjadi perilaku pacaran yang tidak sehat karena hanya dilandasi oleh rasa penasaran dan ketertarikan seksual semata.

Abstract

The final task in the form of field work is based by HIPMI Peduli Jawa Tengah as a charity organization under the auspices of the Himpunan Pengusaha Muda Indonesia Regional Jawa Tengah (HIPMI Jawa Tengah) that recently established. The establishment of HIPMI Peduli Jawa Tengah aims to cultivate the spirit of social awareness and participation of entrepreneurs and societies in order to improve the social welfare of the Indonesian people on the social issues that happening nowadays. As a charities organization under the auspices of HIPMI Jawa Tengah, awareness of HIPMI Peduli Jawa Tengah is not widely known even by members of the HIPMI Jawa Tengah.The lack of awareness by HIPMI Peduli Jawa Tengah makes the participation of entrepreneurs and societies are less in any social activities undertaken by HIPMI Peduli Jawa Tengah. This leads to the small number of donors who participated through HIPMI Peduli Jawa Tengah that has not give maximum support at each social activities undertaken. Based on the concept of branding and persuasion theory, field work aims to increase awareness HIPMI Peduli Jawa Tengah and encourage the target audience to join and participate in any social activities undertaken by HIPMI Peduli Jawa Tengah.The implementation was held in August to September 2015 that makes it a total of 5 weeks, through a series of activities with the theme of education 1000 Book 1000 Goodness For Coastal Children, managed to get an increase in awareness activities HIPMI Peduli Jawa Tengah significantly from 25.84% to 84% and the increase of donation participation from 11.2% to 34%. Managed to get media partner, 5 social media accounts of Semarang City, 1 exclusive radio, and 1 exclusive print media. Managed to get positive publicity in 1 print media and 3 online media. This field work indicates that the "Branding HIPMI Peduli Jawa Tengah Through Strategic Communication Activity" was carried out according to goals specified by division communication manager.

Abstract

Komunikasi antar anggota keluarga sangat penting untuk menciptakan keharmonisanhubungan antar anggota keluarga. Agar tercipta komunikasi yang berkualitas banyak faktorfaktoryang mempengaruhinya antara lain faktor psikografis, faktor demografis, rasatanggung jawab seseorang dalam keluarga. Tujuan peneilitian ini adalah untuk mengetahuipengaruh faktor psikodemografis dan tanggung jawab terhadap kualitas komunikasi keluarga.Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yangdigunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan angket tertutup atau kuesioner. Teknikanalisis data yang digunakan dalam peneltiian ini adalah menggunakan uji chi-squaremenggunakan bantuan SPSS tipe 21.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa faktor psikografis berpengaruh signifikanterhadap kualitas komunikasi keluarga. Faktor demografis berpengaruh signifikan terhadapkualitas komunikasi keluarga. Rasa tanggung jawab berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitaskomunikasi keluarga. Secara bersama-sama ketiga faktor tersebut berpengaruh signifikanterhadap kualitas komunikasi keluarga dengan nilai dari uji chi-square 34,352 dengansignifikan 0,000.

Abstract

Telkomsel merupakan operator selular terbesar di Indonesia, dengan jumlah pengguna mencapai 131,5 juta pada akhir tahun 2013. Dalam perkembangannya, industri operator selular memiliki persaingan bisnis yang ketat. Segmen remaja merupakan market potensial yang diperebutkan oleh berbagai operator selular. Sehingga dibutuhkan pendekatan pada remaja melalui kegiatan community relations yang baik dan sesuai dengan remaja agar terbentuk brand positioning perusahaan yang kuat.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana perencanaan strategis kegiatan community relations Telkomsel untuk penguatan brand positioningdi kalangan remaja SMA. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam (indept Interview) dengan beberapa orang atau narasumber yang memiliki wewenang dalam melaksanakan kegiatan community relations PT Telkomsel.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan perencanaan strategis yang dilakukan Telkomsel divisi Youth and Community dalam mengelola kegiatan community relations untuk penguatan brand positioning di kalangan remaja SMA di kota Semarang melalui tahapan analisis, penyusunan tujuan, identifikasi dan segmentasi sasaran, perumusan pesan, strategi, taktik, ketepatan waktu, sumberdaya, evaluasi dan review. Dengan fokus strategi dan taktik yang digunakan adalah pendekatan event/group yang ditunjukkan melalui berbagai macam kegiatan dan sponsorship untuk segmen remaja.Perusahaan harus menjaga konsistensi pendekatan-pendekatan yang dilakukan pada segmen remaja agar terbentuk brand positioning Telkomsel yang baik dan tidak hanya bersifat sementara. Sehingga hubungan baik antara perusahaan dan komunitas selalu terjaga.Kata kunci : Community Relations, Perencanaan Strategis, Brand Positioning.
