Menopause is part of a woman's life process. In Indonesia, women experience menopause on average at the age of 40-50 years. The menopause period is preceded by a decrease in body function in the reproductive organs and changes in menstrual patterns. Menopausal syndrome can be minimized with proper treatment and appropriate screening. Useful information according to what partners need will help them face menopause better. Menopause preparation activities through the use of digital literacy are carried out with health education, lectures, discussions and direct practice as well as random tests on respondents who participate. Participants in this activity consist of KB acceptors and cadres. There are 50 respondents and accompanied by the head of the family planning village and the Aur Kenali sub-district. Providing information about menopause will help women go through menopause better. With screening and consumption of the right foods and vitamins, it will help women go through the climacteric period with a decrease in stress symptoms, somatic symptoms and better mental symptoms. The results of the activity showed an increase in participant knowledge. It is hoped that cadres and participants can use social media as a source of digital literacy more wisely and according to their needs, especially in preparation for menopause.

Padang city is a high-risk area for tsunamis, making the presence of disaster preparedness cadres crucial as the frontline in response. However, many cadres have never received formal training and have limited knowledge and attitudes regarding tsunami emergencies. Cadre competency evaluation has been hampered by the lack of specific, psychometrically tested instruments. This study aimed to test the validity and reliability of tsunami preparedness knowledge and attitudes instruments for cadres in tsunami-prone areas. This cross-sectional study included 90 respondents. The instrument was developed through a literature review and a qualitative study. Content validity was tested through expert assessment via three expert judgments. The construct validity and reliability were tested on 90 cadres. Instrument validity was assessed via biserial correlation (knowledge) and Pearson’s product‒moment correlation (attitude). Reliability was tested via the Kuder Richardson formula (KR-20) and Cronbach's alpha. The results of the expert judgments on the knowledge and attitude questionnaires were 0.81–1 and 0.75–1, respectively. The construct validity test resulted in 12 knowledge statement items and 12 attitude items that were declared valid, with R values > R values. The reliability test results for the knowledge and attitude questionnaires were 0.630 and 0.737, respectively, indicating that the questionnaire is reliable. This instrument can be used by health workers, community nurses, and policymakers to map cadre capacity accurately and as an evaluation tool before and after providing future disaster training

Hypertension is classified as a non-communicable disease that necessitates prolonged therapeutic management. Adherence to antihypertensive medication is a key determinant in achieving controlled blood pressure levels and preventing potential complications. Health literacy likewise plays a critical role in shaping an individual’s capacity to comprehend medical information and make informed decisions related to treatment. This study was conducted to examine the association between health literacy and medication adherence among individuals with hypertension in the operational area of Puskesmas Simpang IV Sipin. This research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. A total of 150 participants were recruited using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection utilized the HLS-EU-Q16 and MMAS-8 instruments, while data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation. The findings revealed that the average health literacy score was 10.61, and the average medication adherence score was 5.86. Pearson correlation testing showed a significant relationship between health literacy and medication adherence (p < 0.001) with a correlation coefficient (r = 0.65). These results indicate that higher levels of health literacy are associated with better adherence to antihypertensive therapy. Enhancing patients’ health literacy may therefore serve as an effective strategy to improve adherence to antihypertensive treatment.

Critically ill patients treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) present varying levels of disease severity, which may influence length of stay. The APACHE II score is a widely used scoring system to assess the severity of illness in critically ill patients; however, data describing its association with length of stay at RSUD Raden Mattaher Jambi remain limited. This study aimed to analyze APACHE II scores and length of stay among critically ill patients in the ICU and ICCU. A descriptive quantitative study with a retrospective approach was conducted involving 83 adult critically ill patients treated between January and December 2023. Data were obtained from medical records, and APACHE II scores were calculated using the MDCalc application based on physiological parameters recorded within the first 24 hours of admission. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. The results showed a mean APACHE II score of 16.37±6.68, with a range of 4–31, while the mean length of stay was 3.55±3.29 days, ranging from 1 to 20 days. The longest average length of stay was observed in patients with APACHE II scores of 11 and 12, and no consistent increase in length of stay was found with higher APACHE II scores. Variations in length of stay were also observed across individual physiological parameters of the APACHE II score. In conclusion, APACHE II scores among critically ill patients were predominantly in the moderate to severe category with relatively short lengths of stay, and APACHE II cannot be used as a single predictor of length of stay without considering other clinical factors.

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a long-term metabolic disorder marked by elevated blood sugar levels and can lead to long-term complications, including peripheral neuropathy, which causes decreased foot sensitivity and increases the risk of ulcers and amputation. Preventive efforts can be carried out through physical exercises such as Active Lower Range of Motion, which help improve peripheral blood circulation and nerve sensitivity. This study employed a quasi-experimental approach using a pretest–posttest control group design involving 36 respondents with type 2 DM. The intervention consisted of regular Active Lower ROM exercises, and foot sensitivity was assessed using a 10-gram monofilament. The results showed that most respondents were 60–70 years old and predominantly female. Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney analyses indicated a notable change was observed between the pre-intervention and post-intervention results (p=0.000), demonstrating that ALROM exercises effectively reduce the risk of peripheral neuropathy. This exercise can serve as a safe, simple, and beneficial non-pharmacological therapy for individuals with type 2 DM.

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, including in Indonesia. Type II Diabetes Mellitus is an important risk factor because it increases the likelihood of cardiovascular events by 2–4 times through mechanisms such as chronic hyperglycemia, diabetic dyslipidemia, and endothelial dysfunction. Risk assessment using the Framingham Risk Score (FRS) is essential, as it can estimate the 10-year risk of CHD based on age, blood pressure, lipid profile, smoking status, and the presence of diabetes. The increase in DM cases at Raden Mattaher Hospital Jambi from 92 in 2023 to 125 in 2024 highlights the need for early cardiovascular risk detection. This study aimed to describe CHD risk in Type II DM patients using the FRS through a descriptive quantitative design involving 62 respondents. The results showed that 46 respondents (74.2%) were in the low-risk category, emphasizing that the FRS is useful in supporting clinical decision-making and planning preventive interventions for diabetic patients.
