Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT)terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi gerak tumbuhan di kelas VIII SMP Maniamas Ngabang. Bentuk penelitian adalah quasi eksperimental design dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIIIB(eksperimen) dan kelas VIIID(kontrol), teknik pengambilan sampel dengan intact group. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 butir. Rata-rata skor hasil belajarsiswa pada kelas eksperimen yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran NHT adalah 14,91, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol dengan model konvensional adalah 13,26. Berdasarkan hasil analisis UMann-Whitney menunjukkan bahwa Zhitung < -Ztabel (-2,34< -1,96), sehingga disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model NHT dan model konvensional. Nilai effect size yang diperoleh 0,49 termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan model NHT memberikan pengaruh sebesar 18,79% terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMP. Kata kunci:model kooperatif tipe numbered head together, hasil belajar, gerak tumbuhan. Abstract: This study aims to find out the effects of cooperative learning model of Numbered Head Together (NHT) towards study resultat the topic of plant movement for students grade VIII SMP Maniamas Ngabang. The study used quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. Samples of research were VIIIB (experimental) and VIIID(control). The samples were taken through the intact group. The instrument was a multiple choice test with 20 items. The average score of student’s study result in the experimental class taught using NHT model was 14,91, while in the control class with a conventional model was 13,26. The analysis of U Mann-Whitney indicated that Zcount<-Ztable(-2,34 <-1,96), so there were differences in student’s study result using the NHT with conventional model. The effect size score was 0,49 includes as moderate category and NHT model gives 18,79% as an effect towards SMP student’s study result. Abstract

This research aims to see improvements in the learning result of students using E-Encyclopedia of Plant Structure and Function as a learning material. This is a Class Action Research that was conducted in 4 stages consist planning stages, action stages, observation stages, reflection stages and was carried out in 3 learning cycles. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 18 Pontianak. The research’s population was student of 8th grade and the research’s sample is 15 students of 8th grade in A class. The students learning results in cycle I were averaged 85.3 with an 80% satisfaction percentage; in cycle II it was 86.7 with a 100% satisfaction percentage; and in cycle III it was 87.6 with a 100% satisfaction percentage. There is an increase in the average value of each cycle so that in line with the results obtained, it can be concluded that E-Encyclopedia in teaching and learning process on Plant Structure and Function can improve the learning result of the students.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with a very high level of biodiversity. West Kalimantan is one of the provinces with the highest level of biodiversity in Indonesia. One form of biodiversity found in West Kalimantan's forests is bintangur (Calophyllum spp.). The very high diversity of bintangur species is fascinating to be utilized as a source of learning biology, especially in the material of biodiversity and their interactions and roles. This study aimed to analyze the potential of bintangur diversity in West Kalimantan as a biology learning resource on the material of biodiversity and their interactions and roles in senior high school. This research uses the qualitative method. This research consists of two stages. The first stage is a literature review to find information related to bintangur species in West Kalimantan. In contrast, the second stage is an analysis of learning resource requirements based on the results of the literature review that has been carried out. The results of the literature review stage show that there are 27 species of bintangur in West Kalimantan, as well as their classification, main characteristics, habitats, and values to the environment and other organisms. The literature review stage results are then continued to the learning resources analysis. Six requirements must be met for learning resources: clarity of the potential availability of objects and problems raised, suitability for learning objectives, clarity of targets and their designation, clarity of information disclosed, clarity of exploration guidelines, and clarity of the results to be achieved. The analysis of learning resource requirements that have been carried out shows that the diversity of bintangur species in West Kalimantan meets the requirements of learning resources so that it can be utilized as a biology learning resource on the material of biodiversity and their interactions and roles in senior high school.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students in class VII A at SMPN 22 Pontianak on living organisms' classification through a cooperative learning model assisted by flashcards. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) model has two cycles, each including four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection methods involved the learning outcome tests, observation sheets, and documentation. This research focused on analyzing changes in students' understanding of active and interactive learning strategies using flashcards. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes; the mastery level was 81.25% in the first cycle, which increased to 87.50% in the second cycle. This increase indicates that the cooperative learning model assisted by flashcards not only enhances student engagement in the teaching-learning process but also effectively strengthens their understanding of the material on the classification of living organisms. The findings suggest that integrating cooperative methods with visual aids, like flashcards, can be an effective pedagogical strategy to enhance the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of nearpod-based interactive media on student learning outcomes on excretory system material for class XI SMAN 8 Pontianak. This study used a Quasi-Experimental method with a Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. The average post-test for the experimental class is 79.29, which is higher than the control class, which is 72.06. Data on learning outcomes were analyzed using the Independent Sample t-test and obtained 0.001 <0.05 so that there is differences in learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. The effect size value is 0.76 in the high category and contributes 27.64% to learning, so it can be concluded that nearpod-based interactive media affects learning outcomes. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media interaktif berbasis nearpod terhadap hasil belajar siswa materi sistem ekskresi kelas XI SMAN 8 Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Experimental rancangan Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. Rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 79,29 lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol sebesar 72,06. Data hasil belajar dianalisisi menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-test dan diperoleh 0,001<0,05 sehingga terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Nilai effect size sebesar 0,76 kategori tinggi dan berkontribusi 27,64% dalam pembelajaran, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media interaktif berbasis nearpod berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar.

Abstract

This research aims to know the effect of the science process skill approach with video-based learning of human digestive system learning material for grade VIII, Pontianak state 5 Junior High School. The form of this research is the quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique uses the intac group, grade VIII A as the experimental class and grade VIII B as the controller class. The research instrument is multiple choice with 20 questions. The average of the experimental class test result is 14.70 higher than the controller class 13.20 with 20 as the maximum score. Based on U Mann–Whitney test, it shows that the Zcount (-2.22) < -Ztable (-1,96), which means there is significant difference between the use of science skill with the video-based learning approach than the conventional approach. The effect size score is 0.53 which can be categorized as the highest category and give a big impact in 20.10%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Discovery Learning model to the science process skills (KPS) of students on Environmental Pollution material in class VII SMPN 01 Sanggau Ledo. The form of this research is a pseudo experiment (Quasy Experimental Design) with a research design of nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used intact group, class VII A as an experiment and VII B as a control. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test totaling 20 questions and an observation sheet of Science Process Skills (KPS). From the results of the analysis of Science Process Skills (KPS) obtained an average percentage of Science Process Skills (KPS) in the Experimental class of 86.60% with a very good category, and the control class obtained an average percentage of Science Process Skills (KPS) of 75.00% with a good category, this shows that Science Process Skills (KPS) in the experimental class are higher than KPS in the control class.Keywords: Discovery Learning, Science Process Skills, Environmental Pollution

Abstract

Educators utilise learning models and media to improve students’ understanding of the material. This study aims to enhance students’ learning process and learning outcomes by using the Powtoon-based Problem Based Learning paradigm on respiratory system information. This research is a Classroom Action Research with a two-cycle design. Each learning cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were students of SMP Negeri 12 Sungai Raya class VIII B in the 2023/2024 school year, with a sample size of 29 people. The instruments of this study were observation sheets and learning outcome tests. The purpose of the test sheet is to measure students’ understanding of the material discussed in class, while the observation sheet sees how well the learning objectives are achieved. The data collection strategies used in this study were tests, observations, and documentation. The results of the learning implementation process were obtained at 92.26% in cycle I and 95.64% in cycle II. Student learning outcomes increased by 86.20% in cycle II from 77.59% in cycle I. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning using the Powtoon-based Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning implementation process and student learning outcomes on respiratory system material.
