Abstract

Cang Icang's poem appeared since the founding of the Kayuagung area. However, in reality these poems are rarely used by the people of Kayuagung, especially the Cang Icang poem. This is because one by one the old speakers die. While the younger generation is less interested in learning and using it. The purpose of this study is to describe the inner structure contained in the old Cang-Incang poem in the oral literature of Kayuagung. The author uses a descriptive method with qualitative data aimed at describing the inner structure in the old Cang-Icang poem in Kayuagung oral literature. The techniques used to obtain and collect research data are recording techniques, listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The Cang-Incang poem is a poem consisting of four lines in each stanza, the first and second stanzas are appendices while the third and fourth stanzas are content, each stanza has a relationship between stanzas. The inner structure in Cang-Incang's poetry contains several themes including divinity and humanity, feelings in Cang-Incang's poetry where the poet's feelings are sad and happy, the tone and atmosphere of the poet tries to advise and forget the poet's mood, and the message implied in the contents of the poem. Cang-Incang advice. Cang-Incang in the oral literature of Kayuagung obtained five Cang-Incang poems from five informants, the research finding data are as follows: (1) Cang-Incang's poem "remember and surrender to God's greatness", (2) Cang-Incang's poem "quipped at a child who forgetting the love of parents", (3) Cang-Incang's poem "pours out sad feelings because he feels unloved by his mother", (4) Cang-Incang's poem "expresses feelings or desires of the heart", (5) Cang-Incang's poem "entertains yourself at work.”

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan struktur dan isi mantra Lisan Masyarakat desa Tanjung Kurung kecamatan Semidang Aji Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu. Metode yang digumakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, teknik dokumentasi, teknik dan teknik rekam. Teknik penganalisisan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik deskriptif guna menjelaskan dan menganalisis Struktur dan Isi Mantra yang ada di Desa Tanjung Kurung. Hasil penelitian ini terlihat bahwa mantra yang terdapat pada mayarakat desa Tanjung Kurung yaitu mantra ketinggungan, mantra pergi ke hutan, mantra untuk berbedak, mantra untuk terkilir dan mantra untuk anak menangis malam. Dari mantra yang diperoleh akan dianalisis berdasarkan struktur mantra yaitu bunyi, kata, baris, bait, tipografi, dan isi mantra akan di analisis berdasarkan pembacaan semiotik yaitu pembacaan heuristik dan hermeneutik. Dengan demikian analisis mantra masyarakat desa Tanjung Kurung mempunyai struktur dan isi mantra. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disarankan bagi pengguna mantra agar bisa melestarikan mantra yang ada di daerah masing-masing dan informasi yang diperoleh dari ciri-ciri struktur dan isi mantra yang terdapat dalam mantra dapat dimanfaatkan bagi pengembangan dan perluasan wawasan dalam studi sastra yang bertolak dari fakta, serta dapat dijadikan ide untuk menciptakan karya yang modern.

Abstract

The lack of references according to student needs is a problem in this research. For this reason, this research aims to analyze the need for developing teaching materials for writing scientific papers. The method used is descriptive and qualitative with research subjects being students of STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung Semester III and V. The data collection tools used are interview guidelines and questionnaires. Data analysis uses Miles & Huberman data analysis with data reduction, data presentation and data validation. The research results require teaching materials, namely books according to the learning objectives. It is hoped that this research can become a reference in creating or developing teaching materials in the form of books as a learning medium for writing scientific papers.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the similarities and differences between the two in Sapardi Djoko Damono's novel "Rain Bulan Juni" and Ayu Nesia "Madrasah Cinta". This type of qualitative descriptive research. As intertextual support in the novel, this research data is information that is used as an object of study in every word and sentence expression. Madrasah Cinta by Ayu Neisa and June Rain by Sapardi Djoko Damono. This data was collected through the library method, which means the data was collected through literature. From the analysis data that has been found, it can be informed that the similarities in the novel Rain Bulan Juni and the novel Madrasah Cinta are related to the theme, namely that they are both related to how to live a life-love relationship. The plots both use a mixed plot and both use a third person point of view. Meanwhile, there are differences in background aspects, both in terms of place, time and atmosphere. Apart from that, the difference is related to the message contained in the novel June Rain, namely the existence of tolerance between religious communities. Meanwhile, the message contained in the love madrasa novel as conveyed by the author (Habiburrahman El Shirazy) is that our lives must be neatly arranged, planned... Marriage is the sunnah of the Prophet, don't delay when the time comes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the ability of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 OKU in write negotiating text and (2) to describe the difficulties of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 OKU in write negotiating text. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. The data collection technique used in this study is performance test and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis technique. The test results show that from 33 people, students who scored 80—100 with a very capable category numbered 12 people (36.36%), students who scored 66—79 with a capable category amounted to 12 people (36.36%), students those who get grades of 56—65 with a category of capable enough amount to 6 people (18.18%), students who score 46—55 with a category of underprivileged number of 3 people (9.09%), and there are no students who get a score categorized as a failure. The average value of students writing negotiating texts is 72.09. Thus, the ability of students to write negotiating texts is quite capable. Based on the results of questionnaire data analysis, it is known that the difficulties faced by students in writing negotiating text are that students often have difficulty determining the right choice of words because of their limited understanding of diction and students often have difficulty in determining the structure of negotiating text writing.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the attitudes of the characters in Jusuf AN novel Burung-Burung Cahaya through psychological analysis of literature. The method used in this research is descriptive method with literary psychology approach. The technique used to collect data is the literature study technique. After that, the data were analyzed using creation analysis techniques. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it shows that in the novel Burung-Burung Cahaya by Jusuf AN, there are several elements of attitude which include three components, namely cognitive, affective, and conative which are actualized with an attitude of compassion, obedience to the rules, attentiveness, and independence. The affective component is an emotional component related to a person's emotional life, such as pleasure, hate, bored, fear, or other feelings about something. The conative component is a behavior component which is a tendency to behave or act on certain objects. These three attitudes are shown by several characters including the characters Aku, Zulaikha, Shinta, and Sulam, because only these four characters can be identified in Jusuf AN's novel Burung-Burung Cahaya, while the other characters cannot be shown thoroughly because at a glance as a complement to the storyline. This made it difficult for researchers to determine the nature and attitudes in the characterization of Jusuf AN novel Burung-Burung Cahaya. Thus, the novel Burung-Burung Cahaya by Jusuf AN is a worthy and good novel to be read by all circles, because the novel contains many positive values and use values in social life.

Abstract

The ability to write student official letters is predicted to be influenced by an initial understanding of the material of the correspondence. For this reason, this study aims to: (1) find out the understanding of correspondence for Grade VII students of OKU 9 Public Middle School, (2) to determine the ability to write official letters for VII grade students of SMP Negeri 9 OKU, and (3) to find out the relationship between understanding of correspondence to the ability of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 9 OKU to write official letters. The method used in this research is correlation method. The data collection technique used is a test. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis techniques. Test results Based on the calculation of the correlation between the test data understanding correspondence with the ability to write official letter VII grade students of SMP Negeri 9 OKU obtained the value of r product moment at a significant level of 5% of 0.381 with rxy of 0.987. When compared to r arithmetic (rxy), then rxy is greater r product moment. That is, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the understanding of correspondence with the ability to write official letters for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 9 OKU.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explain the ability of grade V students of SD Negeri 6 OKU in summarizing discourse using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The techniques used are observation and test techniques. The results showed that the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 6 OKU were able to summarize discourse using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model. This is evidenced by the average value of the students' ability in summarizing discourse using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model which is 63.83% which is in accordance with the assessment indicators which are classified as sufficient. In detail, the results of this study are: suitability of the summary content is 56% (sufficient), accuracy of themes is 60.66% (sufficient), suitability of word counts is 90.66% (very good), and mechanics is 48% (poor). In addition, the results of observations in this study indicate that the teacher delivers material summarizing discourse that can be understood by students through the application of the CIRC learning model which is well done and easy to understand.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the characters and characterizations contained in the novel Bidadari-Bidadari Surga by Tere Liye and to describe the educational values ​​contained in the novel Bidadari-Bidadari Surga by Tere Liye. The method used in this study is a descriptive method using a structural approach. The data collection technique used is the documentation technique. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used in this study is a novel document content analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that the characters who play a role and build the story in the novel Bidadari-Bidadari Surga by Tere Liye are Laisa, Mak Lainuri, Dalimunte, Ikanuri, Wibisana, and Yashinta. Furthermore, the characterizations painted on these characters are: Laisa has a hard-working and firm character, Mak Lainuri has a gentle and kind character, Dalimunte is a smart and obedient character, Ikanuri is described as a naughty but kind character, Wibisana is a character who is a little naughty but in principle he is a good person, and Yashinta is a beautiful story character and has a good personality. In addition to the strength of the characters and characterizations, educational values ​​are also the strengths that are presented in the novel, namely religious, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic values, respect for achievement, communicative, peace-loving, reading, caring for the environment, social care, and responsibility. For this reason, Tere Liye's novel Bidadari-Bidadari Surga is suitable as reading material and as teaching material for the basic competence of writing novels in schools.

Abstract

The aims of this study were (1) to describe the results of the analysis of the needs of teachers and students for the development of teaching materials for writing poetry in elementary schools, (2) to describe the results of the prototypes for developing teaching materials for writing poetry for students in elementary schools, and (3) to describe the feasibility teaching materials for writing poetry as a result of development for elementary school students. The type of research used is Research and Development (R & D) with the Jolly and Bolitho models. Data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique is a descriptive analysis technique. The results of the study show that students in elementary schools need poetry writing textbooks related to the content and physical aspects of textbooks. Meanwhile, the teacher was also given a questionnaire to assess teaching materials for writing poetry. Furthermore, the results of expert validation were obtained, namely the appropriateness of the content obtained a score of 21, language obtained a score of 20, presentation obtained a score of 18, and graphics obtained a score of 19. The total score obtained was 78. Based on the results of data analysis, 12 students wanted textbooks that can increase knowledge, 19 students expect teaching materials in the form of textbooks, and 20 students want complete teaching materials. Thus it can be concluded that the prototype of this teaching material is feasible to be used as a poetry writing textbook for students in elementary schools.
