Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji peranan komik digital Perang Puputan Klungkung sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah di era digital. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Four-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Semarapura. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, validasi ahli, serta pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur literasi sejarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media komik digital dinyatakan sangat baik berdasarkan validasi ahli materi dan media. Implementasi di kelas memperlihatkan peningkatan literasi sejarah yang signifikan, ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata nilai pretest 49,4231 meningkat menjadi 87,9615 pada posttest dengan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh melalui rumus N-Gain sebesar 0.7604 yang termasuk dalam kategori efektivitas tinggi. Komik digital mampu membantu peserta didik memahami kronologi, sebab-akibat, dan makna historis peristiwa secara lebih kontekstual dan menarik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa komik digital Puputan Klungkung layak digunakan sebagai inovasi pembelajaran sejarah berbasis teknologi yang  kontekstual, menarik, dan adaptif.

Abstract

Penelitiam ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui langkah-langah pengembangan E-book Digital Chronoboek dengan materi praaksara sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah di SMK Negeri 2 Seririt. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode RnD (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Pada tahap analyze dilakukan penyebaran kuisioner kepada siswa dan wawancara guru untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang dihadapi pada saat pembelajaran sejarah khususnya pada materi praaksara, selain itu penulis juga melakukan analisis kurikulum untuk mengetahui kebutuhan pembelajaran. Tahap design penulis merancang konsep, membuat sketsa awal media, dan struktur materi untuk E-book Digital Chronoboek. Pada tahap development penulis mulai mengembangkan produk sesuai dengan sketsa awal yang telah dibuat, dan dilakukan uji validitas oleh ahli media, materi serta pembelajaran untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk. Pada tahap implementation penulis kemudian melakukan uji coba produk dilapangan yakni kepada siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 2 Seririt untuk mengetahui kefektivitasan produk. Tahap evaluation dilakukan untuk menilai hasil pengembangan media serta melakukan penyempurnaan produk. Adapun hasil penelitian menjelaskan bagaimana langkah-langkah pengembangan e-book digital chronoboek dengan materi praaksara sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X di SMK Negeri 2 Seririt.

Abstract

This study aims at developing Social Studies module based on Balinese local wisdom that is valid, practical and effective in enhancing disaster literacy among the students at senior high school level. The research employs Research and Development (R&D) approach, using 3D model involving define, design and develop, modified from Sivasailam Thiagarajan. The data were collected through observation, interview, document analysis, content validity, module practicality assessment and disaster literacy instruments that measure students’ cognitive, affective and psycomotor. The validity test result indicates that the module's content, media, and language validity are classified as very good. The practicality test results show that the module is highly practical. The effectiveness test results indicate that:  (1) The normalized N-gain calculation for the control class was indicating a decline, while the experimental class categorized as moderate. (2) The N-gain score of the experimental class exceeds that of the control class, proving that the developed module is effective in improving disaster literacy. (3) The module also had a impact on students’ disaster literacy. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that (1) the module is based on Balinese local wisdom, (2) the modul has been validated as highly reliable (3) the modul has been assessed as practical by both teachers as well as students. (4) the module is effective in enhancing students’ disaster literacy. Based on the research finding, it is recommended that the teachers and students utilize this module as a contextual learning resource to foster independent learning environment based on local wisdom.

Abstract

This article presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education from a socio-anthropological perspective, with a specific focus on the context of Indonesia and Bali. The study aims to describe the development of AI integration in teaching and learning, analyze its socio-cultural impacts, identify research gaps, and formulate implications for educational policy and practice. The review shows that AI is utilized as a personal learning assistant, adaptive learning system, assessment automation tool, and learning analytics instrument. Its integration has triggered shifts in teachers’ knowledge authority, the formation of new learning habitus, the reproduction of digital inequalities, negotiations between technological modernity and local traditions, and changes in social interaction patterns in the classroom. The article proposes a conceptual framework of AI-based learning transformation and a learning syntax that is sensitive to Bali’s socio-cultural context. The findings highlight the importance of equitable infrastructure provision, AI literacy and ethics, strengthening teachers’ roles, and collaborative learning designs aligned with local cultural values.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of local wisdom of Tenganan Pagringsingan Village in the preservation of village forests and water sources. This research is a qualitative descriptive study by conducting observations and interviews with several village community leaders, village heads, traditional heads, and the community. The results of the study show that the people of Tenganan Pagringsingan Village strongly uphold and uphold the existing local wisdom, especially in the form of rituals, myths, and rules. This local wisdom plays a role in maintaining the sustainability of village forests and water sources. These rituals are in the form of Tumpek Wariga and Metruna Nyoman. The Tumpek Wariga ritual is a symbol as a form of gratitude to nature in the mystical sense for the gift of plant fertility so that the community can use it for survival. The Metruna Nyoman ritual, as a form of non-formal education, shapes the character of the younger generation to know their own village, existing rituals, and most importantly, love and protect the environment. The myth that has existed since ancient times is Lelipi Selahan Bukit, a form of belief in forest guardians, so that the community does not dare to do things that cause forest damage. The rules, in the form of customary village regulations, outline the rights and obligations of indigenous communities, along with the accompanying sanctions. These regulations will serve as a binding force for all forms of community behavior, ensuring they conform to the established guidelines.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the high use of social media among university students, which has the potential to support the development of cross-cultural competence in the digital era. Cross-cultural competence is an essential skill that enables students to interact effectively in an increasingly diverse society. This study aims to describe the level of social media utilization, the level of students’ cross-cultural competence, and the role of social media as a medium that supports the development of cross-cultural competence. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed with a sample of 79 students selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics through mean and percentage calculations. The findings revealed that social media utilization was categorized as high with a mean score of 3.94, while students’ cross-cultural competence was also categorized as high with a mean score of 4.02. The highest indicator of social media utilization was the use of social media to obtain information about other cultures (4.24), whereas the highest indicator of cross-cultural competence was respect for cultural differences (4.39). The findings indicate that social media has the potential to serve as a learning resource that supports the expansion of cultural awareness, strengthens appreciation of diversity, and enhances students’ readiness to interact with individuals from different cultural backgrounds. The study implies the importance of utilizing social media as a learning medium to strengthen multicultural values in Social Studies Education.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to identify the conservation activities carried out by the librarians at State Elementary School 1 Banjar Bali; (2) to determine the process of removing books from the shelves for conservation; and (3) to find out the constraints experienced during conservation activities at the Library of State Elementary School 1 Banjar Bali. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, and the technique for selecting informants utilizes purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The author chose the Library of State Elementary School 1 Banjar Bali as the research location. In this study, the researcher used observation, interviews, and document study techniques to collect data in order to obtain concrete information. The results of the study show that: (1) The preservation of collections at the Library of State Elementary School 1 Banjar Bali includes four main pillars, namely active conservation (daily cleaning), passive conservation (monthly checking and room temperature control at 16°C), preventive conservation (the use of camphor and insecticides), and curative conservation (repairing slightly to moderately damaged books once a month); (2) The process of removing books begins with physical selection and classification based on the level of damage (minor, moderate, and severe). Severely damaged or destroyed books are separated from the shelves to be sent to the Education Agency for the asset writeoff process; (3) The constraints faced include a limited quantity of human resources that is disproportionate to the volume of the collection, as well as environmental factors such as high room humidity due to its location near a drainage ditch, a lack of sunlight exposure, and the use of wooden shelves that are susceptible to termite attacks.
