Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the discharge of rainwater runoff from different durations of rain, to determine the magnitude of the differences in the discharge of rainwater runoff produced, and to determine the differences in channel dimensions resulting from differences in the duration of rain used. This study uses 6 years of daily rainfall data recorded at Bengel Station, to calculate the planned flood discharge as an alternative for controlling rain runoff in the Green Asia Housing area with a land area of ±6 hectares, a test time was used with rain times selected as 24 hours and 5 hours. Flood discharge is calculated using the Rational formula with a rain return period of 2 years according to the design area. The results of data analysis will be presented in the form of tables, discussed and concluded descriptively.The results of the study show that there is indeed a quite large difference in flood discharge, where the use of a 24-hour rain period produces a planned discharge that is around 32% lower than the use of a 5-hour rain period. The dimensions of the channel produced for a discharge with a rain duration of 24 hours are also smaller than the dimensions produced by a flow discharge with a rain duration of 5 hours. The fact is that rain events with a duration of shorter than 24 hours are more common than rain events lasting a full day.

Abstract

Tsunami merupakan bencana alam yang mengancam semua kehidupan di pesisir. Kekuatan merusak dari bencana tsunami ini tergantung dari tinggi gelombang tsunami tersebut. Salah satu desa di Pulau Lombok yang terancam oleh bencana tsunami adalah Desa Labuhan Haji Kecamatan Labuhan Haji, Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Hal ini disebabkan oleh letak geografis dan topografis desa yang berada di pesisir Timur Pulau Lombok menghadap ke Selat Sumbawa. Oleh karenanya, Penulis beserta tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat dari Universitas Mataram mengupayakan suatu program Desa Tahan Bencana (DESTANA) yang disampaikan kepada desa dengan tujuan agar Desa Labuhan Haji ini mempunyai ketahanan terhadap bencana tsunami. Program ini bertujuan memberikan wawasan dan informasi mengenai potensi bahaya tsunami dan cara-cara penanggulangan kerugian. Metode pelaksanaan dalam program ini, yaitu Pra-kegiatan meliputi: survei lokasi, melakukan kerjasama dengan staf dan kepala desa, menjalin kemitraan, dan pelaksanaan penyuluhan dan pembelajaran dengan video. Teknologi yang diperkenalkan adalah: (1) WRS-BMKG, (2) Magma Indonesia, (3) My Earthquake Alerts, (4) EQInfo, dan (5) Sistem Peringatan Dini Multibahaya Geo-Hidrometeorologi. Berdasarkan hasil test awal dan test akhir dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman peserta tentang desa tangguh bencana, yaitu dari 47% menjadi 82%. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pengabdian ini telah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat yang tinggal di daerah rawan tsunami untuk berpartisipasi dalam mendukung program Desa Tangguh Bencana.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat di Dusun Batu Rimpang Desa jembatan Kembar Kabupaten Lombok barat merupakan lokasi dimana Dosen dan Mahsiswa berinteraksi dalam membahas semua unsur Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk menumbuh-kembangkan semua aspek potensi desa yang dimiliki dengan tujuan menghasilkan masyarakat yang berdaya saing dan memiliki Improfisasi dalam menggali ilmu khususnya di bidang Ilmu Pertanian - Irigasi Lahan Kering (IP-ILK). Implementasi Tridharma perguruan tinggi berupa pemberdayaan Masyarakat di Dusun Batu Rimpang merupakan salah satu perwujudan dari citi-cita Perguruan tinggi dalam membina masyarakat menuju puncak kejayaaan emas di tahun 2040. Dusun Batu Rimpang yang memiliki Irigasi Lahan Kering potensial berjumlah sekitar 1985 hektar are lebih, terdiri dari 965 ha lahan potensial berupa sawah, 45 ha merupakan lahan perkebunan, dengan penghasilan pertanian berupa Jagung, Kedelai dan Tembakau. Dengan hadirnya Teknologi yang terbarukan berupa Irigasi Springkel diharapkan mampu menggenjot Intensitas hasil produktivitas tanaman Palawija dari 45 % menjadi 300 % dengan cara menambahkan tanaaman palawija berupa Cabe, Terong, Kacang tanah, Kedelai dan Kacang Panjang. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat memberikan edukasi dan pemahaman Tentang Penggunaan Teknologi Irigasi lahan Kering Menggunakan Bantuan Springkler. Pelatihan dan Pembinaan ini di ikuti oleh semua Prangkat Desa, mulai dari Kades Desa Jembatan Kembar, Aparat Desa, Kelompok Petani Pemakai Air serta Kelompok Peternak yang ada di Dusun Batu Rimpang. Hasil evaluasi lapangan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi Springkler memberikan kepuasan terhadap masyarakat petani Dusun Batu Rimpang. Kegiatan program pengabdian masyarakat ini secara keseluruhan dapat diterima dengan baik, karna teknologi yang ditawarkan sangat bermanfaat dalam menghasilkan produktifitas pertanian. Berdasarkan hasil kajian lapangan didapatkan respon masyarakat Dusun Baturimpang membutuhkan bantuan pemerintah untuk bisa mewujudkan penggunaan teknologi Irigasi Springkler secepat mungkin karna teknologi tersebut ramah lingkungan

Abstract

SDN 1 Jembatan Kembar Timur is located in West Lombok Regency, which is in a zone with a medium-high risk of earthquakes and tsunamis, so its residents must be prepared to face it, including schools that are gathering places for many young students who are at risk of panic during an earthquake. This community service activity aims to transfer information through counseling and earthquake simulations to train the preparedness of teachers and students. This activity was carried out using the counseling and simulation method, which was attended by teachers and grade 6 students. The results obtained from this activity were that teachers and students experienced increased knowledge and preparedness for earthquakes. The evaluation tool that measures the success of this activity shows an increase in knowledge of 30% at the end of the activity. A significant increase was especially shown in understanding what should be done during an earthquake when someone is in a class and a high building. This significant increase in knowledge of teachers and students is essential in advancing preparedness for earthquake disasters

Abstract

Sediment deposition is the main problem in the continuity of dam operations. Sustainable operation of dam can be maintained by dredging sediment deposited at the bottom of the impounding area. Because of the considerable costs and the lack of economic value of dam deposited sediment, dredging is carried out only when the serious sedimentation problem occurs. This research aims to analyse samples of sediment taken from various depths of Batujai Dam and to compare them with the pottery materials of Balibe Hill. Compositions of deposited sediment were analyzed to determine its potential as an alternative additional material used in pottery making. Comparisons were made based on the results of sieving analysis of material from both sources. The results show that the percentage of fine-grain material of Balibe Hill, especially grains with a diameter of ≤ 0.18 mm, is closer to the percentage of deposited sediment of Batujai Dam at an elevation of 92.5 masl and an elevation of 90.0 masl, while the percentage of coarse-grain material with a diameter of ≥ 3.35 mm is closer to the percentage of deposited sediment at an elevation of 87.5 masl. Gradation analysis indicates that composition of deposited sediment of Batujai Dam in sand grain classes can be engineered to some extent to make them closely identical to the composition of Balibe Hill materials so that it can be used as a mixture in pottery making.

Abstract

The Gumantar Village community is a community located in the hills with terraced and sloping village conditions. Most of the community has yards and gardens, although not very large with terraced land conditions. The water source of the Gumantar Village Community comes from the upstream hillsides, with the number of hamlets as many as 16 hamlets with a population of around 2000 people and most of them are field farmers. Considering the potential of the surrounding land which is very large and in the form of terraces, it is necessary to provide counseling to the community on how to utilize limited water sources for farming activities with a drip irrigation system. To help the community, counseling is needed so that the community quickly understands the drip irrigation system. This community service aims to provide efficient irrigation counseling, namely drip irrigation, to encourage farming to be carried out around the yard. The community service consists of location survey activities, counseling, discussion and question and answer sessions, and evaluation. This community service has succeeded in providing counseling to 35 people consisting of housewives and fathers, as well as young people from the Dasan Tereng Hamlet mosque. Participants have gained knowledge about drip irrigation and obtained examples of the use of drip irrigation in yards and dry land, so that people are able to utilize limited water in the dry season for agricultural purposes in their yards

Abstract

Multilevel drip irrigation is an irrigation method that supports water-saving agricultural activities in limited areas by channeling water through perforated pipes from emitters. An ideal multilevel drip irrigation system can provide the same volume of droplets to plants, so that the distribution of irrigation water and the uniformity of drip irrigation are important factors that need to be considered when using drip irrigation to provide plant irrigation. This research aims to determine the effect of using variations in the diameter of PVC pipes as primary pipes on the distribution of drip irrigation and its uniformity. The primary irrigation network tested for each network to the 1st floor to the 3rd floor consists of ½", ¾" diameter and 1" pipe, while the secondary and lateral drip pipe networks use ½" PVC. The test was carried out on an area of 4 m x 1 m x 1.8 m with a distance between levels of around 0.9 m, with an irrigation water source from a 200 liter tank placed on a tower with a height of 2.5 m.The results of the research show that the discharge produced by the main pipe is different on each floor of the irrigation network, on the 1st floor the discharge is 127.13 cm3/second and on the 3rd floor the discharge is 120.91 cm3/second, while on the 2nd floor the discharge is between the values of the 1st floor discharge. and 3rd floor. Regarding the results of the distribution of drip irrigation water volume, it is known that the average does not show significant differences due to differences in network operations or due to differences in pipe diameters used, where the values for floors 1 to 3 are respectively 68.75 ml, 68 .47ml, 68.19ml. The uniformity of drip irrigation shows results above 94% on all network floors and is considered very good.

Abstract

The people of Poktan Beriuk Maju, Jagaraga Village, are mostly farmers who own land with varying amounts of land, and have a minimum of 2 acres of yard land and many of them are empty, so they need to be used for home farming to help provide food independently. The existence of water sources from springs around settlements and water from shallow wells can also be used to support agricultural activities in the residential area of ​​each potential house. Apart from that, by utilizing limited water sources, such as water from shallow wells and springs around housing, it is an opportunity for the community to farm vegetables and the like to help with the community's daily kitchen needs. This service aims to train people to make multilevel drip irrigation so that they can later be used as a farming method in their home gardens. Before being trained, residents need to be given knowledge about efficient drip irrigation so that participants gain sufficient knowledge about irrigation because its application is very different from traditional irrigation. The service was carried out in the initial stages of survey, the stage of strengthening efficient irrigation, the training stage of making multi-level drip irrigation networks using PVC pipes with emitters, the land was filled with polybags filled with soil as a planting medium. Activities consist of outreach on irrigation and drip irrigation as well as training. This service has succeeded in providing knowledge about irrigation and drip water efficient irrigation at the Beriuk Maju Poktan. It has succeeded in building a multi-level drip irrigation network and is ready for farming use, and can be continued by applying it to horticultural crops as a medium for learning about residential farming.

Abstract

Penurunan produksi air pada daerah aliran sungai akibat kerusakan hutan dan meningkatnya kebutuhan air untuk keperluan irigasi pertanian, perikanan, peternakan dan kebutuhan air baku rumah tangga sebagai dampak dari peningkatan jumlah penduduk. Selain itu penurunan debit air pada daerah tangkapan air sistem irigasi di Pulau Lombok pada umumnya disebabkan oleh pola penggunaan lahan kawasan hulu yang berubah dari kawasan hutan menjadi kebun rakyat. Penebangan hutan yang tak terkendali memicu cepatnya perubahan tata guna lahan sehingga terjadi sedimentasi pada saluran primer. Volume sedimen pada Saluran Primer Gebong menjadi masalah serius dalam pengelolaan daerah irigasi. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukan Penelitian Sedimentasi pada Saluran Primer Gebong, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Dalam usaha mengendalikan daya rusak air, diperlukan langkah-langkah penanganan non-fisik melalui usaha konservasi, memelihara keberadaan, keberlanjutan, sifat, dan fungsi sungai agar alirannya tersedia dalam kuantitas dan kualitas yang memadai. Hal mendesak dan sangat perlu dilakukan adalah melakukan identifikasi kondisi tangkapan sedimen berdasarkan laju angkutan sedimen dan memetakannya dalam peta saluran primer. Peta ini berisi informasi laju angkutan sedimen yang dituangkan dalam bentuk persamaan lengkung aliran-sedimen sebagai pedoman untuk menentukan penanganan sesuai urgensi dan kondisi setiap saluran primer. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan, bahwa rapat masa sedimen yang terjadi pada Saluran Primer Gebong memiliki rapat masa sebesar 2604 kg/m3 dengan total angkutan sedimen yang terjadi pada Saluran Primer Gebong sebesar 61.756,626 ton/tahun dan terdistribusi ke masing-masing Saluran Sekunder Bilebante sebesar 0.851 %, Saluran Sekunder Kediri sebesar 32,308 %, Saluran Sekunder Jenggala sebesar 6.268 %, Saluran Sekunder Gerung sebesar 45 780 % dan ke Saluran Sekunder Bagu sebesar 5.793 %.

Abstract

Usahatani di lahan kering Pringgabaya, telah lama menerapkan sistim irigasi sprinkler maupun irigasi penggenangan dan penerapan sistim sprinkler besar di lapangan masih terkendala oleh kemampuan penyerapan air dari tanah yang masih tergolong rendah, sehingga air irigasi akan dominan terevaporasi dipermukaan tanah. Pada kondisi tanah sekitar 80% lebih berbutiran halus, menunjukkan kemampuan infiltrasi sebesar 3,342 cm/jam pada daerah perbukitan (Randy, 2011) dan pada lahan dataran infiltrasi sebesar 0,621 cm/jam (Haki,2013). Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, sangat perlu diteliti sistem irigasi hemat air sprinkler yang lebih spesifik seperti sprinkler mini menggunakan jaringan dari pipa PVC. untuk itu perlu diketahui karakteristik respon tanah terhadap sistem irigasi hemat air yang diuji pada lahan Kering Pringgabaya sebagai alternatife dalam membantu pertanian di lahan kering. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji sistim irigasi hemat air terpadu dalam hal ini sprinkler mini pada tanah lahan kering Pringgabaya, terhadap kemampuannya memberikan lengas tambahan pada lahan. Uji dilakukan pada lahan berukuran 10 m x 10 m, dengan 4 buah stik sprinkler pada lahan. Saluran distribusi dalam sistim irigasi sprinkler mini digunakan pipa PVC berdiameter 3” , 2” dan 1” yang dilengkapi flow meter, sedangkan jaringan perpipaan pada lahan digunakan pipa pvc 1” dan pipa stik sprinkler berdiameter ¾”.Data hasil penelitian yang dianalsis meliputi keseragaman irigasi, lengas tanah setelah dan sebelum irigasi, kedalaman capaian irigasi pada kedalaman 10 cm, 20cm dan 30cm. Untuk perubahan lengas tanah setelah irigasi sebagai indikasi evaporasi, ditinjau pada durasi 10 menit, 20 menit, 30 menit, 40menit, 50menit dan 60 menit. Hasil penelitian dipresentasikan dalam bentuk grafik maupun tabel dan disimpulkan secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa keseragaman (Cu) pengujian 2 sprinkler bersamaan diperoleh rerata di atas 70 %, dan tergolong baik. Besar debit sprinkler mini rerata 0,023m3/dt dengan radius irigasi (rs)=2,6m. Kedalaman capaian irigasi untuk durasi 10 menit sampai 60 menit besarnya sekitar 0,3cm – 7 cm, dan dengan lengas tanah yang mampu diberikan irigasi rerata sekitar 6,32%. Penurunan lengas tanah akibat evaporasi dalam satu harian di lahan kering Pringgabaya diperoleh rerata sebesar 5,61%, dan oleh karena itu sistem irigasi sprinkler mini ini lebih baik digunakan untuk penanganan evaporasi harian.
