Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the role of financial literacy in improving the economic well-being of individuals and the community as a whole, with a specific emphasis on the residents of Jambur Padang Matinggi. The ability to understand and use various financial skills, such as budgeting, investing, and personal financial management, is referred to as financial literacy. This study emphasizes the relationship between better economic stability and higher financial literacy among community members. According to information gathered through surveys and interviews, individuals with greater financial knowledge are more capable of making sound financial decisions, which in turn leads to increased savings and investments in local businesses. Furthermore, the results indicate that financial literacy programs can have a significant impact on overall community growth by encouraging saving habits and borrowing money wisely. The study underscores the importance of integrating financial literacy programs into community development strategies, especially in rural areas where financial education resources are limited. Therefore, enhancing financial knowledge emerges as a crucial component in improving the prosperity of both individuals and communities.

Abstract

Character education is one of the important aspects in the world of modern education, especially in Indonesia which makes national character building a major vision of national education. This article aims to explore the implementation of extracurricular activities in supporting student character education at SMA Negeri 1 Panyabungan. Through structured activities such as sports, arts, scouts, and social activities, students are introduced to values ​​such as responsibility, cooperation, tolerance, and leadership. The results of this article show that extracurricular activities play a significant role in developing student character, creating individuals with integrity, independence, and are ready to face various challenges in life.

Abstract

Character education plays an important role in forming students who are not only academically intelligent, but also have strong morals and positive behavior. Character education is a process of developing moral values, ethics and virtues to create individuals who are virtuous, responsible and able to respect human values. The main factor in character formation is oneself, but family and environment also have a crucial role. At SMK Negeri 2 Panyabungan, character education is implemented through the integration of character values in learning and extracurricular activities, supported by collaborative learning methods that teach cooperation, responsibility and empathy. The implementation of character education has been proven to increase student learning motivation, discipline and interest in learning. Values such as honesty, hard work and discipline are involved in learning activities and are internalized by students through direct experience and example from teachers. Strengthening this character also reduces the level of delinquency and conflict at school, creates a conducive learning environment and supports students’ personal development. Consistent character education has a positive impact, both on academic aspects and on the formation of attitudes and behavior needed in the world of work and social life. In this research, it is found that education has an important role in forming character and increasing students’ interest in learning. This research aims to analyze the application of character education in improving the moral values, ethics and learning motivation of students at SMK Negeri 2 Panyabungan. Character education is integrated through innovative approaches such as project-based learning, involving schools and families in forming children’s character. The research results show that character education significantly supports students’ personality development, increases interest in learning, and helps them face life’s challenges positively.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of student recruitment policies at the Musthafawiyah Purba Baru Islamic Boarding School, North Sumatra, in order to improve the quality of education. As one of the largest Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, Musthafawiyah faces the challenge of competition with other educational institutions in recruiting quality prospective students. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, observation and documentation studies. The research results show that Musthafawiyah implemented a strict selection which included academic tests, Al-Quran reading and writing tests, and motivational interviews, to attract potential students. However, this policy faces obstacles in the form of negative public perceptions and limited resources. This research recommendation includes strategies to improve the promotion process and improve facilities to strengthen the attractiveness of Islamic boarding schools. By implementing strategic recruitment policies, it is hoped that Musthafawiyah will be able to maintain the quality of education and continue to attract the interest of prospective students from various regions.

Abstract

This research investigates the implementation of the Management Information System (SIM) in administrative management at the Musthafawiyah Purba Baru Islamic Boarding School, Mandailing Natal Regency. This study found that Islamic boarding schools have adopted intranet, internet and extranet-based SIMs to speed up the administration process. However, this research also identified challenges such as limited information technology capabilities among users. Through descriptive qualitative research methods using interview, observation and documentation techniques, this research highlights the importance of MIS in supporting decision making, data processing and the effectiveness of educational management in Islamic boarding schools. This research recommends increasing human resource training and strengthening technological infrastructure to increase the effectiveness of SIM in supporting Islamic boarding school administration.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the influence of dependence on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) applications on the learning effectiveness of Islamic Education Management students. Using quantitative research methods, data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 students at several universities. Data analysis was carried out using a simple linear regression test to determine the correlation between the dependency variable on AI applications (X) and learning effectiveness (Y). The research results show that 78% of respondents use AI applications in their daily learning activities, with 65% of them feeling more efficient in accessing information. However, there are 40% of students who show decreased motivation for independent learning due to dependence on AI applications. The results of the regression test show that there is a significant positive correlation between the use of AI applications and learning effectiveness with a correlation coefficient of 0.52 and a significance of p < 0.05. These findings indicate that the use of AI plays an important role in increasing learning effectiveness, but also has the potential to reduce motivation for independent learning. It is hoped that the use of AI will be accompanied by learning strategies that support student independence and critical thinking.

Abstract

Higher education as icon of scientists has three duties, education/teaching, research and community engagements that must be carried out by lecturers even though in the covid-19 pandemic, lecturers are required to remain creative and productive in their work, writing scientific papers as a form of implementing the three duties of higher education. This condition is not an obstacle for lecturers to remain productive in their work, lecturers can research and community engagements through online data collection and then arrange it to scientific writing published in national/international journal. Teaching, learning and writing from virtual space to the real works.

Abstract

Era digital membawa dampak besar terhadap dunia pendidikan, khususnya pada tingkat pendidikan dasar. Teknologi menawarkan kemudahan akses informasi yang dapat meningkatkan proses pembelajaran, tetapi di sisi lain, juga memberikan tantangan berupa potensi gangguan, seperti kecanduan gadget, paparan konten yang tidak sesuai, dan pengurangan interaksi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran keluarga dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan anak di SD 214 Desa Muara Pungkut, dengan fokus pada bagaimana keluarga mengarahkan, mendukung, dan membimbing anak untuk memanfaatkan teknologi secara bijak. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran keluarga sangat penting dalam memberikan pendampingan belajar, pengawasan penggunaan teknologi, serta membangun karakter anak di era digital. Kendala utama yang dihadapi adalah keterbatasan literasi digital pada orang tua dan akses teknologi yang belum merata. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sinergi antara keluarga, sekolah, dan pemerintah untuk mengoptimalkan potensi pendidikan di era digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi manajemen sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di Pondok Pesantren Subulussalam. Fokus utama penelitian adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana manajemen sumber daya manusia yang efektif dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan kualitas pengajaran dan profesionalisme guru di pondok pesantren. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam kepada pimpinan pondok pesantren, pengurus, dan beberapa guru yang terlibat langsung dalam proses pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengelolaan SDM yang diterapkan di Pondok Pesantren Subulussalam meliputi pelatihan berkala, penilaian kinerja guru, dan pemberian insentif yang memadai untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan disiplin kerja. Selain itu, pengembangan keterampilan interpersonal dan komunikasi antara pemimpin dan guru juga menjadi kunci dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen sumber daya manusia yang baik dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru yang pada akhirnya berdampak positif terhadap mutu pendidikan di pondok pesantren.

Abstract

This research aims to explore student management in improving academic and non-academic achievements at SMPN 1 Lembah Sorik Marapi. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach, this research collects data through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that effective student management plays an important role in building student achievement. Factors such as careful planning, support for extracurricular activities, and student motivation directly impact academic and non-academic outcomes. However, obstacles were also found such as a lack of teacher professionalism in preparing Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) and variations in learning methods, which resulted in decreased student motivation. This research underlines the need for evaluation and improvement in the education system, especially to improve the balance between academic achievement and developing students' interests through non-academic activities.
