Abstract

Education plays a vital role in shaping high-quality human resources, and parental involvement is crucial for achieving optimal outcomes. This research focuses on MAN 1 Madina, which aims to produce a generation that excels and possesses Islamic character. Parental involvement in this school varies, with some parents actively helping their children learn, while others face challenges. The role of parents in the learning process and the impact of their involvement on the quality of their children’s education is the objective of this study. Using students, parents, and teachers as research subjects, a qualitative descriptive approach was employed. The results indicate that active parental involvement influences students’ motivation and academic achievement. The study also identifies supporting and inhibiting factors of parental involvement, which can be utilized by the school to strengthen collaboration between parents and the school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi dan pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan pengunjung perpustakaan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di perpustakaan STAIN Mandailing Natal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed method (campuran). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik stratified proporsional random sampling dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 133 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh berdasarkan analisis SWOT, yaitu: 1) Strategi yang dilakukan adalah memperbaiki fasilitas, sarana prasarana, koleksi buku, dan menjalin kerja sama dengan lembaga lain, 2) Kelemahan (weakness) kepala perpustakaan yaitu anggaran yang terbatas, sarana prasarana yang kurang memadai, dan kurangnya personil perpustakaan, 3) Peluang (opportunities) yang dilakukan kepala perpustakaan adalah berkolaborasi dengan dosen-dosen untuk menghasilkan karya tulis yang dapat dijadikan buku, memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai wadah promosi, dan kerja sama dengan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi lain untuk mendapatkan koleksi buku, 4) Tantangan (treaths) yang dihadapi kepala perpustakaan yaitu kurang maksimalnya melakukan promosi lewat media sosial dan kurangnya melakukan kegiatan atau acara untuk menarik pengunjung dan 5) Pengaruh kepala perpustakaan terhadap pengunjung berdasarkan analisis data yang diperoleh menggunakan program SPSS versi 25 yaitu dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (rxy) = 0,419 dengan sig. (ρ) = 0,000 < 0,05. Ini berarti bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima dan nilai Fhitung = 27,872 > Ftabel = 3,913 dengan sig. (ρ) = 0,000 < 0,05. Besarnya nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,175 atau 17,5%. Kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara variabel kepemimpinan kepala perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan pengunjung perpustakaan di STAIN Mandailing Natal.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students through the application of the Jigsaw Model combined with styrofoam media in the learning of Theme 9 Subtheme 3. The background of this research is the low active participation of students and the limited variety of teaching methods used by teachers at SD Negeri 076 Kayu Jati Panyabungan. This research uses a quantitative approach with the classroom action research (CAR) method, which is carried out in two cycles. The subjects of the study are 30 students from class IVa. The data collection technique used was a learning outcome test, while data analysis was conducted using Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 21. The research results show that the average student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle were 87%, and there was a significant increase of up to 963% in cycle II. The independent sample t-test showed a calculated t-value of 13.59164, greater than the t-table value, indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the model. These findings reinforce that the use of the Jigsaw Model with styrofoam media can effectively improve student learning outcomes. This study recommends the use of a cooperative learning model based on concrete media to enhance student engagement and understanding at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that influence students' reading interest at the Darul Ikhlas Islamic Boarding School in the digital era. Students' interest in reading is an important aspect in increasing knowledge and literacy skills, but the presence of digital technology often becomes a significant distraction. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to students. Several main factors analyzed include the availability of access to digital information, the role of caregivers and teachers in guiding literacy, the influence of the Islamic boarding school environment, and the tendency to use social media by students. The research results show that easy access to digital content can reduce interest in reading printed books, but the literacy coaching factor from caregivers and teachers has a positive influence in maintaining students' interest in reading. This research recommends the integration of technology in literacy-based learning to increase students' reading interest in the digital era.

Abstract

Berbicara mengenai kompetensi professional, sangat erat kaitannya dengan jenjang karir guru sebagai seorang tenaga pendidik, dan tentu saja dibuktikan dengan kenaikan pangkat/golongan selama menjadi guru. Salah satu persyaratan kenaikan pangkat/golongan guru harus melakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), mungkin sudah menjadi hal biasa bagi guru untuk melakukan PTK, namun bila guru mengusulkan kenaikan pangkat/golongan di atas IV/a, maka salah satu persyaratannya adalah diperlukan karya tulis ilmiah berupa artikel. Namun seperti kita ketahui tidak banyak diantara guru yang mampu menulis artikel ilmiah dengan baik, oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dosen program studi Manajemen Pendidikan Islam. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan  untuk dilaksanakan selama 3 hari, yakni 15 Desember sampai dengan 17 Desember 2022, yang diikuti oleh 28 orang guru dari dua madrasah aliyah negeri di Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan (MAN Tapanuli Selatan dan MAN Insan Cendikia Tapanuli Selatan) dengan metode luring dan 3 orang narasumber dari dosen program studi Manajemen Pendidikan Islam STAIN Mandailing Natal. Adapun output yang diharapkan dari pengabdian ini adalah artikel ilmiah yang disubmit oleh para guru di jurnal atau prosiding secara online, sedangkan untuk outcome adalah meningkatnya kemampuan guru dalam penulisan artikel ilmiah yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan kenaikan pangkat berkala.

Abstract

Pesantren as traditional Islamic educational institutions, are increasingly challenged to balance the preservation of religious values with technological adaptation in the era of Society 5.0. This study investigates how pesantren in Padang Panjang City, West Sumatra, implement digital educational innovations while maintaining their core identity. Guided by the central question—how do pesantren integrate technological advancements into their educational practices without compromising their traditional foundations? this research adopts a narrative-based grounded theory approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and document analysis in six selected pesantren. Findings reveal three key areas of innovation: integration of the national and pesantren curricula, incorporation of digital technologies into the learning process, and the development of extracurricular programs tailored to students’ talents and interests. Some pesantren have established specialized units such as the Diniyyah Research Center and Diniyyah Robotic, introduced native speakers in language programs, and facilitated research, literacy, and tech-based learning activities. These developments reflect not only adaptive capacity but also the emergence of a contextual and forward-looking Islamic education model. The study contributes to a nuanced understanding of how pesantren navigate transformation while upholding their educational and spiritual heritage in response to 21st-century demands.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the correlation between students’ ability to memorize the Qur’an and students’ learning achievement in the subject of al-Quran and hadiths. To achieve the objective, the study utilized quantitative method under the frame of correlational design involving seventy eleventh grade students who took al-Qur’an hadiths subject. To collect the data, the study utilized questionnaires. The obtain data were then analyzed by using correlation analysis technique through SPPS 20.0 software. The results showed that the ability to memorize the Qur'an has a significant correlation with the students’ learning achievement in the subject of al-Qur'an hadith. It is evidenced in the results of analysis that the two variables were correlated around 52.3% with a determination coefficient of 0.523 and a significance level (ρ) of 0.000. The students who have the ability to memorize the Qur’an have strong memories, good attention to details and brilliant thoughts because the students may have a lot of practice in matching the verses in the Qur’an with their memorization or recitation,. Therefore, it is expected that by increasing their ability in memorizing the Qur’an, the students can improve their learning achievement in the subject of al-Qur'an hadith since it uses Arabic as the Qur'an does.

Abstract

Curriculum refers to a comprehensive compilation of scientific disciplines studied systematically in an educational institution, which impacts increasing student proficiency. The Indonesian Madrasah Competency Assessment (AKMI) was introduced by the Indonesian Ministry of Religion in 2021 to evaluate educational progress and student achievement in the curriculum. AKMI can be included in every subject taught at school. This research aims to analyze the increase in literacy of madrasah students through the integrated AKMI program in the education curriculum. The research method used is survey research. Data was collected from an online assessment held by AKMI organizers at the 2022 national seminar of the KSKK Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia. The survey instrument used was AKMI questions, validated and proven reliable, with quantitative data analysis techniques using a descriptive approach. The research results show that AKMI is a tool for madrasa teachers to evaluate students' skills in achieving the goals outlined in the curriculum. By utilizing these results, teachers can identify areas that need improvement and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes. Then, integrate learning outcomes (CP) in the curriculum with competency achievements (CK) at AKMI during the learning process at MI, MTs, and MA-level madrasas. AKMI is not a curriculum but can be integrated into the curriculum.

Abstract

Educational supervision in elementary schools is an activity to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. Educational supervision must also adapt to existing technological developments. For its implementation, supervision is carried out through various processes in the aspect of problem solving that aims to increase teacher effectiveness and efficiency. In addition, it also functions to improve the quality of learning in Indonesia which until now has not met the standards and is far from what is expected. The role of supervision here is responsible for improving teacher learning by following the development of science and technology and the use of supervision techniques. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was obtained that Educational Supervision has a role in the quality of teaching. In this article, the literature study method is used. This article will discuss the role of educational supervision in improving the quality of learning. This article will discuss the definition of educational supervision, the role of educational supervision in improving the quality of learning. The implementation of supervision is expected to run well so that the implementation of learning. Therefore, a supervisor needs to have an understanding and awareness of educational supervision. This article aims to describe the concept of educational supervision to improve the quality of learning in the era of independent learning. This study aims to analyze the role of supervision in improving the quality of continuous learning at SD 089 PANYABUNGAN. Identification of potential and individual teacher needs through observation and coaching processes allows for the preparation of targeted professional development programs. Including. Implementation of innovative learning methods is encouraged through supervisory support that provides related resources and training.

Abstract

This research was a case where the result of observation researcher at Elementary School in Kecamatan Enam Lingkung that shows the low level of teacher performance. Many factors that affect teacher performances among which are academic supervision and pedagogical competence. The purpose of this research are to know about: (1) contribution of academic supervision to teacher performance, (2) contribution of pedagogical competence to teachers performance, and (3) contribution of academic supervision and pedagogical competence are jointly to teachers performance. The method of this study is quantitative research with 157 teachers. Sample in this research has taken by the use stratified proportional random sampling method, total sample in this research are 78 teachers. Instrument in this research using questionnaire and test. The results of the analysis data show that (1) academic supervision contributes significantly to teachers of 44%, (2) pedagogical competence contributes significantly to teachers 12,1 %, and (3) academic supervision and pedagogical competence are jointly make a significant contribution to teachers performance of 44,2%, so the conclusion of this research are that hypothesis acceptable empirically and academic supervision and pedagogical competence variable are two factors that contribute to the teacher performance and 55,8% of the remaining influence by another factors.
