Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is. In the past, several learners have been applied for prediction of CKD but there is still enough space to develop classi?ers with higher accuracy. The study utilizes chronic kidney disease dataset from UCI Machine Learning Repository. In this paper, individual approaches, viz., linear-SVM, kernel methods including polynomial, radial basis function, and sigmoid have been used while among ensembles majority voting and stacking strategies have been applied. Stacked Ensemble is based on various types of meta-learners such as C4.5, NB, k-NN, SMO, and logit-boost. The stacking approach with meta-learner Logit-Boost (ST-LB) achieves accuracy 98,50%, sensitivity 98,50%, false positive rate 20,00%, precision 98,50%, and F-measure 98,50% demonstrating that it is the best classi?er as compared to any of the individual and ensemble approaches

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease is a serious illness that requires early diagnosis to improve treatment outcomes, especially in the elderly. The main challenge in diagnosing this disease lies in the fact that symptoms often do not appear until the disease has reached an advanced stage, which necessitates the use of accurate prediction methods. Additionally, the dataset's limited size, consisting of only 195 patient records, may affect the algorithm's ability to identify patterns. Choosing the appropriate algorithm is also a challenge, as some algorithms have limitations in handling complex medical data. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) and Naïve Bayes algorithms in predicting chronic kidney disease. The dataset was analyzed using Weka Waikato software and tested using the 9-fold cross-validation method. The best results were obtained using the Naïve Bayes algorithm, with an accuracy of 97.4359%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that both algorithms can be used to predict chronic kidney disease in the elderly. However, to further improve prediction accuracy, proposed solutions include expanding the dataset with more diverse data and optimizing the algorithm's hyperparameters. On the other hand, the Naïve Bayes algorithm demonstrated higher accuracy compared to KNN in this study, making it the more recommended choice.

Abstract

The Cox-Ross-Rubinstein binomial tree model is widely used in stock and derivative securities calculations, such as options calculations. The binomial CRR model assumes that the parameter increases in option prices and decreases in option prices so this model produces stock price movements up and down stock price movement. However, stock price movements show price fluctuations and cause the volatility of the value to be unsuitable. In this study, modeling stock and option price movements using a fuzzy binomial tree model. The data used was data on the movement of the stock price of Nippon Indosari Corpindo Ltd Plc from February 2021 to January 2022. The results showed that for February 2022, with a risk size of 90%, the selling price options with the greatest volatility of 51.6484081, medium volatility of 33.33154354, and the smallest volatility of 28.17155892.

Abstract

Life tables are used to calculate the probability that a member of a population for each age group in a certain country would survive until the next year and die before the next year. A life table could be constructed based on another life table using a mortality law. This study will construct a Weibull Life Table based on the 2019 Indonesian Life Table using Weibull’s mortality law, with its parameters estimated using the Ordinary Least Squares method. The results of this study show that the oldest age in the male Weibull Life Table is 115 years, which is 4 years older than the oldest age in the male 2019 Indonesian Life Table. The oldest age in the female Weibull Life Table is 119 years, which is 8 years older than the older age in the female 2019 Indonesian Life Table.

Abstract

The Indonesian Mortality Table, which was specifically based on the real conditions of Indonesia, was successfully created for the first time in 1993. The mortality table was called the Indonesian Mortality Table (IMT) I of 1993. In its preparation from IMT II to IMT III, the time span was long enough that the Asosiasi Asuransi Jiwa Indonesia (AAJI) and Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia (PAI) formed a team to prepare the Indonesian Mortality Table IV (IMT IV) which studied data during the study period between 2013-2017. Finally, the IV Indonesian Mortality Table was compiled in 2019. In this study, the mortality table used was the 2019 Indonesian Mortality Table issued by Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia (PAI), as well as a modification of the 2019 IMT with Gompertz Law. In Gompertz's Law, one method that can be used is the least power square method. This study will show the suitability of Gompertz's Law against TMI 2019 for men and TMI 2019 for women, as well as to determine the suitability of Gompertz's Law using the Least Square Method for IMT 2019 for men and IMT 2019 for women.

Abstract

Leslie matrix model is a population growth model that can be used to predict the number and growth rate of populations that are female in population and female in animals. In animal populations, the Leslie matrix can be used in harvesting. This study aims to apply the Leslie matrix model to predict the number and growth rate of female cattle and determine the proportion of female cattle population harvesting. The female cattle populations used were female dairy cattle and female beef cattle. The results showed that the prediction of female dairy cattle population in 2022 - 2025 decreased every year. As for the female beef cattle population, the prediction results show that the number populaton always increase every year. Furthermore, to determine harvesting is only applied to the female beef cattle population. For uniform harvesting, the result is 11.4% of the population of each class and for the youngest class, the result is 50.5% of the population of the first age class.

Abstract

Bank fraud involves several actions such as manipulating duplication, forgery, changing accounting records and so on. This study aims to detect the potential for fraud in banking reports on customer final balances. The types of tests used to detect potential fraud in this study are the First Digit Test, Second Digit Test and First Two Digit Test Benford's Law. Benford's law states that the proportion of occurrences of numbers in certain numbers is not the same. In addition to the three Benford's Law tests, further statistical tests were carried out to determine the magnitude of the deviation between the actual proportion of occurrences and the expected proportion of Benford's Law using the Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD), Chi-square test, and Z test. This study uses secondary data on the final balance of customer deposits as of July 2023 as much as 20,105 data. The results showed that there were indications of fraud in the form of rounding and duplication of data on the customer's final balance. MAD results show that the proportion of occurrence of actual numbers is quite consistent with the proportion of occurrence of Benford's Law expectations. Based on the Z test, the balance that has the potential for fraud is the value with the first digit '5', the second digit '3' and the first two digits '23'. These numbers can be found in balances with a nominal value of Rp5000 and Rp5636 in the first digit '5', and Rp23038 in the second digit '3' and the first two digits '23'.

Abstract

Drug abuse among children is a serious issue that requires special attention. This article discusses the factors that influence children from engaging in drug abuse, the judicial proceedings against them, and the legal protections provided. The research method used is a normative legal research method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that peer factors, personality, psychiatric conditions, family, and the availability of narcotics in the market play an important role in narcotics abuse. The juvenile justice process for drug abusers goes through several stages, including investigation, prosecution, trial, and formation at the Special Child Development Institute. Legal protection for children is regulated in the Child Protection Law and the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law. The adverse effects of the formal criminal justice process are also discussed, including trauma, stigma, and exclusion from school. Diversion programs are an important alternative to protect children from the negative consequences of the formal criminal justice process.

Abstract

The extent of the terrorist network in Indonesia threatens the threat and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia, manifested in broad trends, organization and systematic networks. Terrorist attacks are increasingly brutal, targeting innocent civilians. The threat is increasingly complex with increasing radicalization and online recruitment, requiring comprehensive action, including cooperation with government agencies, security forces, intelligence, and civil society, as well as a comprehensive approach involving intelligence, community participation, and addressing the root causes of radicalization to eradicate terrorist networks . Eradicating criminal acts of terrorism is a serious challenge for the Indonesian government, with one of the complicated aspects being the implementation of the death penalty against perpetrators of terrorism. This article analyzes Indonesian criminal policy, explains the method of punishment, the Human Rights (HAM) perspective, and critical views on the death penalty. In conclusion, it is important to strike a balance between efforts to enforce the death law and the desire for the principles of human rights and justice in the context of eradicating terrorism. Continuous evaluation of the application of the death law and open dialogue involving various parties are the keys to reaching an agreement that upholds humanitarian values and justice in efforts to overcome criminal acts of terrorism in Indonesia.
