Abstract

Limited area for green open space is a common problem in densely populated areas in Indonesia. This also happened in Gunung Samarinda Baru Village; this area is one of the most densely populated areas and will continue to grow until now. These activities in the form of training and work practices are carried out through urban farming activities, namely hydroponic vegetable cultivation and compost processing from household waste. The activity started with a socialization approach regarding concepts and knowledge related to urban farming and compost management in the community. Furthermore, after they were familiar with the concept and urgency of urban farming and processing, we held training to give it directly to the community. It not only provides socialization and practice, but it also involves a monitoring process to determine the impact of the service activities that have been carried out. From the monitoring results, the community can take advantage of their green open space through vegetable growing activities using the hydroponic method. This is shown by the first harvest carried out with the community service team, as well as compost processing. This service activity is a good start for the community to maximize further the potential of green open spaces in their environment.

Abstract

Some MSMEs may face challenges in adopting and utilizing E-commerce platforms due to a lack of understanding of digital literacy. Digital literacy education is key to helping MSMEs overcome barriers to engaging effectively in e-commerce. Medan City Central Market is a vital economic and trade center in the Medan city area. MSMEs in the Central market sell various kinds of products. However, with the existence of e-commerce, product sales have decreased. The decline in consumers visiting and buying at this central market. The objectives of this service are: 1). Assess and analyze the extent to which MSMEs in the Medan City Central Market have digital literacy in the use of E-commerce, 2). Identifying the obstacles and challenges faced by MSMEs in the Medan City Central Market in adopting and utilizing E-commerce, 3). Identifying the benefits that MSMEs can obtain in the Medan City Central Market through increasing digital literacy in the use of E-commerce. The results obtained are that there are still many MSME players who do not understand or do not use e-commerce platforms to sell. However, there are also several traders who have used e-commerce. From the results of digital literacy that has been carried out, it is successful in helping one of the traders who has a shop, namely the Jenna Batik shop which sells women's clothing, by helping create a Shopee account and also financial reports from the shop. After we also compared online and offline sales and it was found that selling offline or selling in stores directly in the central market still provided greater profits.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to enhance digital competency skills at SMK Negeri I Jorlang Hataran. The method used in the implementation of this activity is training through the delivery of materials, practical training on the assembly and programming of IoT devices, and a question-and-answer session. The participants of this activity consist of 37 students from the 11th grade RPL (Software Engineering) major. The instruments used in this activity include participant feedback and activity documentation. The results of the implementation show that the participants' responses to the basic computer training were overall in the good category. The percentage of student responses reached 98.20%, which falls into the very good category.

Abstract

The interest rate is seen as a random variable because the interest rate has an unpredictable nature or changes over time. This means that the interest rate cannot be anticipated in the future with a certain degree of certainty. Therefore, mathematical models are needed to predict the behavior and value of future interest rates. The models used in this study were interest rate, uniform distribution , and lognormal distribution. The data used in the study were interest rate data for 2014-2015 and sample data for uniform distribution. The resulting model in interest rate modeling as a random variable uses for uniform and lognormal distributions with the application of data and . The interest rate model as a uniformly distributed random variable is considered better with a smaller standard deviation, , and values compared to the lognormal distribution based on the data used.

Abstract

In running an agricultural business, there is a big risk because farmers' productivity is very dependent on nature, and to reduce the risk of crop failure, the government provides a program to minimize losses from crop failure, namely agricultural insurance, through Law Number 19 of 2013 . This article aims to compare agricultural insurance premium prices based on the rainfall index and the production prediction index for corn commodities in Grobogan Regency. The results of this article are based on the reference used of 3% of compensation, namely IDR 344,872.5, and the results that are close to the reference are the price of insurance premiums based on the 5th simple average method corn production prediction index of IDR 356,433.58 . However, the premium price used as a reference previously was the gross premium price from AUTP, so the insurance premium price for Corn Farmers (AUTJ) was obtained, namely IDR 310,385.25. As a result, we obtained premium price results that were closest to the reference from AUTJ, namely at the 4th percentile, when the agricultural insurance premium price based on the rainfall index was IDR 330,155.76 per planting season.

Abstract

The aggregate claim model is a model that can be used to determine the amount of premium billed to the insured by the insurance company. This model consists of a combination of two independent random variables, namely the number of claims that occur and the size of the claim for each claim submitted. In this study, many claims are Poisson distributed and the size of the claim is exponentially distributed. The method of moments is used to estimate the parameters of each distribution. Based on the calculation results, the amount of premium billed to the insured for one year if based on the pure premium principle is Rp. 112,500,000.00 and if based on the expected value principle, variance value principle, and standard deviation principle is Rp. 165,900,000.00.

Abstract

Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kestabilan suatu lereng antara lain adalah infiltrasi air hujan dan kelandaian suatu lereng. Air infiltrasi ini, selain mengurangi kohesi tanah, juga ikut menambah berat tanah sehingga longsor terjadi. Sebagian besar perbukitan di daerah Lombok Barat, lapisan tanah merupakan pasir kelanauan terutama di daerah sepanjang jalan raya Sesaot, sebagai kawasan wisata hutan dari Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Longsor di kawasan ini sering terjadi apabila musim hujan tiba.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui angka keamanan lereng terhadap durasi hujan dan penanggulangan longsor dengan membuat sudut lereng lebih datar dari lereng asli dan membuat terasering sepanjang lereng. Dalam analisisnya dibantu dengan menggunakan program Geostudio V.6. Pemodelan muka air tanah akibat hujan digunakan program SEEP/w sedangkan pemodelan lereng menggunakan program SLOPE/w.Hasil penelitian menunjukan, semakin lama durasi hujan (durasi hujan 8 jam), angka keamanan semakin menurun, sebesar 3,23% dari faktor keamanan tanpa hujan. Apabila dilakukan stabilisasi dengan mengurangi sudut lereng menjadi 65o dari kondisi asli 85o, faktor keamanan meningkat 22,8% dan bila dilakukan stabilisasi dengan tersering sebanyak 2 terasering, faktor keamanan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 17,34% dari kondisi asli lereng.

Abstract

Tanah lempung lunak adalah jenis tanah yang memiliki daya dukung yang rendah. Salah satu daerah Lombok Tengah yang sebagian besar tanahnya berjenis lempung lunak dan memiliki karakteristik yang unik adalah daerah Tanak Awu. Keunikan tanahnya yaitu karena memiliki warna yang gelap dan bau yang khas dan kuat sehingga disebut sebagai lempung hitam. Jenis lempung ini mempunyai sifat mengembang (swelling) pada musim hujan (kadar air tinggi) dan menyusut musim kemarau (kadar air rendah), peristiwa ini akan menimbulkan dampak kerusakan pada lantai bangunan, keretakan pada dinding tembok, dan permukaan jalan yang bergelombang. Oleh sebab itu agar dapat digunakan sebagai pondasi bangunan dan perkerasan jalan yang baik, diperlukan adanya usaha perkuatan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kekuatan tanah, salah satunya dengan menggunakan cerucuk. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh penggunaan cerucuk terhadap kuat tekan tanah. Pengujian kuat tekan ini dilakukan pada sampel tanah undisturb (tak terganggu) dan juga disturb (terganggu) menggunakan seperangkat alat uji kuat tekan bebas (Unconfined Compressive Strength) yang mengacu pada metode ASTM D 2166-66. Dalam pengujian ini diusahakan kondisi masing-masing benda uji sama, kemudian dibebani diatas tanah lempung yang diperkuat cerucuk bambu dan diukur peningkatannya sampai mengalami keruntuhan. Dalam pengujian ini diperoleh persentase peningkatan paling besar pada saat penggunaan cerucuk dengan panjang 10 cm dan spasi 1,5 cm yaitu sebesar 347,60 %, sedangkan untuk persentase peningkatan paling rendah pada saat penggunaan cerucuk dengan panjang 8 cm dan spasi 2 cm yaitu sebesar 259,11 %. Dari kenaikan kuat tekan tersebut terlihat bahwa cerucuk memberikan kontribusi yang cukup besar pada lempung lunak dimana semakin panjang cerucuk dan juga semakin kecil spasi antar cerucuk dapat memberikan peningkatan pada kuat tekan (qu) tanah.

Abstract

Perkembangan pembangunan kota tidak saja mengarah ke daerah perbukitan dengan harapan terbebas dari masalah banjir, namun daerah dataran rendah, tergenang air,rawa-rawa dan pinggir pantai mulai dikembangkan menjadi daerah pemukiman. Salah satu jenis tanah yang memiliki beberapa sifat yang kurang menguntungkan bagi suatu konstruksi adalah jenis tanah pasir. Kekurangan dari tanah pasir adalah pasir tidak memiliki daya ikat antar partikel satu sama lain terutama pada tanah pasir yang memiliki nilai kerapatan relatif yang rendah (pasir lepas). Selain itu kondisi tanah pasir pantai memungkinkan adanya pengaruh pasang surut air laut yang dapat mempengaruhi kapasitas dukung tanah tersebut. Oleh karena hal itulah sehingga tanah pasir pantai perlu diberikan perkuatan. Pengujian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengujian sifat fisik dan mekanik tanah pasir pantai. Pengujian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental di laboratorium yang menggunakan box acrylic dengan ukuran 50 x 50 x 50 cm dengan tinggi sampel tanah yang digunakan adalah 25 cm yang diberi perkuatan geotekstil GX-50 dengan pemberian beban dan variasi kedalaman muka air B cm, 2B cm, dan sejajar permukaan pasir dengan arah aliran tegak lurus. Hasil pengujian keruntuhan pada pondasi pasir pantai dengan variasi kedalaman muka air yang diberi perkuatan geotekstil menunjukkan penurunan pondasi menjadi lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan tanpa perkuatan geotekstil. Pada kondisi 2B dengan Dr 25% penurunan berkurang yaitu sebesar 27%, untuk B cm sebesar 31%, dan untuk variasi sejajar permukaan pasir sebesar 26%. Sedangkan untuk Dr 100% kondisi 2B cm penurunan berkurang sebesar 21%, untuk B cm sebesar 23%, dan sejajar permukaan pasir sebesar 20%. Dapat disimpulkan dengan penambahan geotekstil daya dukung pasir pantai meningkat. Tipe keruntuhan yang terjadi pada kondisi 25% yaitu tipe keruntuhan penetrasi, sedangkan pada Dr 100% terjadi keruntuhan geser umum.

Abstract

Hydroxyapatite (HA) scaffold has been widely applied in the biomedical field especially for bone implants. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of dispersant addition and stirring time on HA scaffold which formed using gambas sponges as a template. HA slurry was made by mixing 10 grams of HA, 12 grams of aquadest, 0,2; 0,25; 0,3 grams of Darvan 821A and 1 gram of sago. The slurry was impregnated into Luffa cylindrica sponges. The sample then dried at 110oC for 3 hours. The green bodies were burned at 600oC for 1 hour and followed by sintering at 1250oC for 1 hour. The results showed that the addition of dispersant and increasing of stirring time lead to smaller porosity and shrinkage. In addition 0,2; 0,25; and 0,3 grams dispersant, the resulting porosity in the range of 63,85-70,78%; 58,74-70,35%; and 53,42-69,66%. Shrinkage 39,43-53,71%; 27,75-50,68%; and 13,61-41,25%. Compressive strength 0,61-1,05 MPa; 2,88-3,81MPa; and 0,52-2,96 MPa. The macroporous and microporous average pore sized was 50 m dan 5 m.
