Abstract

This research aims to describe whether learning using the project based learning (PjBL) model is effective in improving students' mathematical literacy skills at Bina Nusantara Vocational School, Mranggen, Demak. This research was conducted as a quasi-experiment, namely testing only one class group before and after the test. The research population was all classes XI TKJJ 1 as the experimental class and XI TKJJ 2 as the control class. The aim of this research is to improve students' mathematical abilities which are assessed using the essay style examination method. The use of inferential statistical analysis techniques is used to analyze test result data using project-based learning (PjBL) as a means of improving students' mathematical abilities. Inferential statistics were used to test the research hypothesis using the paired sample t test with a significance level of 0.05. The research results show that students' skills taught using the PjBL model are better. This is shown by the significance results of the T test of 0.000<0.05, which means that the PjBL learning model has an influence and improvement on students' mathematical literacy at SMK Bina Nusantara Mranggen. The N-Gain score has an average of 69.38 or 69.38%. then this percentage is an effective stage in implementing the project based learning (PjBL) learning model

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis menjadi dasar pelaksanaan penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keefektifan model Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education berbantuan Liveworksheets, pengaruh self-efficacy dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, dan deskripsi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis ditinjau dari self-efficacy di kelas VIII SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, angket self-efficacy, dan hasil wawancara subjek akan digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji rata-rata satu sampel, uji z, uji t sampel tidak berpasangan, dan uji regresi linear sederhana. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 233 siswa kelas VIII SMP N 14 Pekalongan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pembelajaran PBL-RME berbantuan Livewoksheets efektif, self-efficacy berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis (semakin tinggi self-efficacy, maka kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis cenderung meningkat), dan dua subjek dengan kategori self-efficacy tinggi mempunyai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang tinggi, dua subjek dengan kategori self-efficacy sedang mempunyai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang sedang, serta dua subjek dengan kategori self-efficacy rendah mempunyai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa Indonesia sebagaimana tercermin dalam hasil PISA 2022 yang menunjukkan skor rata-rata 379, jauh di bawah rata-rata internasional. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review dengan pendekatan mixed method terhadap 25 artikel penelitian terpilih dari database internasional dan nasional yang diterbitkan dalam rentang 2018-2025. Kriteria inklusi mencakup artikel dengan desain eksperimental atau quasi-eksperimental yang mengukur dampak PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan efektivitas PBL dengan effect size moderat hingga besar (0.67-1.24), dengan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, dan inferensi. Faktor moderator efektivitas PBL mencakup durasi implementasi, karakteristik masalah, dan integrasi teknologi. Disarankan agar implementasi PBL memperhatikan durasi minimal 8 minggu, menggunakan masalah autentik berbasis konteks lokal, dan mengintegrasikan teknologi digital untuk mengoptimalkan pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP.

Abstract

This study provides a global synthesis of pedagogical innovations and research developments in mathematical literacy from 2022 to 2026, uniquely emphasizing an edupreneurial perspective that integrates entrepreneurial creativity into mathematics education through innovative teaching and learning practices. The analysis utilizes the Scopus, ERIC, and Google Scholar databases to identify global trends and research gaps. Employing the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework, a total of 564 articles were initially identified, with selected studies analyzed to address predefined research questions. The review highlights that research on mathematical literacy is predominantly characterized by qualitative and quantitative approaches, with junior high school students as the most frequent subjects and research settings. A growing trend in edupreneurial pedagogical practices is evident through the integration of contextual problem-solving strategies, ethnomathematical perspectives, and technology-enhanced learning models. Recommendations for future research and policy include strengthening teacher conceptual understanding of mathematical literacy, developing contextually rich assessment models, advancing technology-integrated instruction, and expanding research toward psychological factors influencing mathematical literacy. Moreover, the study underscores the need for increased research at the vocational education level and calls for education policymakers to design and implement professional development programs aimed at enhancing teachers’ and students’ competencies in mathematical literacy through innovative, entrepreneurial-based learning approaches.

Abstract

Research on mathematics learning is increasing and developing. However, empirical research ideas on working memory (WM) and creativity are still very limited. Educators must train students' WM skills in addition to providing reinforcement for mathematics learning. A systematic literature review follows the 10-step approach by Gough et al. The research questions consist of: What are the ideas about the definition, components and abilities of working memory? The idea of ​​Working Memory in mathematics learning related to reasoning, problem solving and creativity? The researcher determined the publication period of the relatively latest articles in 2015 - 2024. The researcher conducted a database search on PsycInfo, MathEduc, Harzing's Publish or Perish and Scopus. Meanwhile, to determine the quality of the journal, the researcher based it on the database on ScimagoJR. After sorting, the articles analyzed were 37 found in 18 different journals. There are six definitions of WM, four related to working memory components, 10 related to working memory abilities, two related to working memory descriptions of reasoning and problem solving, three related to descriptions of creativity and three ideas of WM in mathematics learning, namely arithmetic, geometry and algebra.
