Abstract

This research was motivated by the acceptance of one deaf student in the Department of Computer Science UNNES in the 2020/2021 academic year. Therefore, this research aims to provide the study with efforts to increase the absorption of deaf students in the inclusive class through the discovery of Assistive Technology. The method used in this research is Mixed Method with a qualitative and Research Development (RD) approach. Data collection includes class observations, interviews, triangulation of results, and stages of RD. Research activities include: (1) lecturer of mathematical courses made PPt files, filled in Lecturer's Voice, and filled in Sign Language. (2) Video tested in inclusive class. (3) Finalization of Assistive Technology Videos and the results were noted. Research Results: (1) multi-function video prototypes were obtained for deaf students in inclusive classes in mathematical courses. (2) There was an increase in the activity and absorption of students in the inclusive class. In conclusion, it is necessary to make assistive technology in the form of learning videos that contain sign language to increase the absorption of deaf students in the inclusive class in mathematical courses.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi telah diterimanya satu mahasiswa Tunarungu pada Jurusan Ilmu Komputer UNNES pada tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan kajian upaya meningkatkan daya serap mahasiswa Tunarungu di kelas Insklusif melalui penemuan Teknologi Asistif. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode mixed method dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan Research Development (RD). Pengumpulan data meliputi; observasi kelas, wawancara, triangulasi hasil, dan tahapan RD. Kegiatan penelitian meliputi: (1) dosen pengampu mata kuliah matematis membuat file PPt, diisi suara dosen, dan diisi Bahasa Isyaratnya. (2) Video diujicobakan di kelas Inklusif. (3) Finalisasi video Teknologi Asistif dan dicatat hasilnya. Hasil penelitian: (1) Diperoleh Prototip video Multi-Fungsi untuk mahasiswa Tunarungu di kelas Inklusif pada mata kuliah matematis. (2) Ada peningkatan aktivitas dan Daya Serap mahasiswa di kelas Inklusif. Kesimpulannya: Untuk meningkatkan daya serap mahasiswa Tunarungu di kelas Insklusif pada mata kuliah matematis, perlu dibuat Teknologi Asistif berupa video pembelajaran yang berisi Bahasa Isyarat.

Abstract

Research on mathematics learning is increasing and developing. However, empirical research ideas on working memory (WM) and creativity are still very limited. Educators must train students' WM skills in addition to providing reinforcement for mathematics learning. A systematic literature review follows the 10-step approach by Gough et al. The research questions consist of: What are the ideas about the definition, components and abilities of working memory? The idea of ​​Working Memory in mathematics learning related to reasoning, problem solving and creativity? The researcher determined the publication period of the relatively latest articles in 2015 - 2024. The researcher conducted a database search on PsycInfo, MathEduc, Harzing's Publish or Perish and Scopus. Meanwhile, to determine the quality of the journal, the researcher based it on the database on ScimagoJR. After sorting, the articles analyzed were 37 found in 18 different journals. There are six definitions of WM, four related to working memory components, 10 related to working memory abilities, two related to working memory descriptions of reasoning and problem solving, three related to descriptions of creativity and three ideas of WM in mathematics learning, namely arithmetic, geometry and algebra.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of mathematics learning with interactive multimedia based on ethnomathematics through an android application in improving students' creative thinking skills. The research method used was a quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design on grade IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Karangampel. The selection of experimental and control classes was carried out using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using documentation, test and interview methods. The findings of this study indicate that who used interactive multimedia based on ethnomathematics through an android application achieved classical completeness and had higher creative thinking skills and based on the average N-gain score of the experimental class and the control class, the average N-gain score for the experimental class was higher than the average N-gain score for the control class, namely 0.8022 > 0.6994 so that more significant improvements compared to students who did not use the multimedia. Thus, interactive multimedia-based PjBL can be used as a relevant and effective pedagogical approach in learning transformation geometry material.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian tentang kemampuan representasi matematis siswa SMP melalui berbagai model pembelajaran matematika, metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian, dan kecenderungan penelitian berdasarkan tahun penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review dengan melakukan eksplorasi dengan bantuan Google Scholar. Berdasarkan inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan, diperoleh 19 artikel. Hasil analisis menggunakan Systematic Literature Review, ditemukan bahwa model pembelajaran matematika yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa SMP didominasi oleh model Problem Based Learning, artikel yang dipublikasikan paling banyak dihasilkan pada tahun 2020, dan jenis penelitian paling banyak menggunakan kuantitatif. Hal yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa SMP dalam pembelajaran melalui siswa berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran dan guru hanya berperan sebagai fasilitator, siswa belajar secara berkelompok untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapinya, siswa membangun pengetahuannya dan menemukan suatu konsep matematika secara mandiri melalui kegiatan pembelajaran, dan dapat juga melalui guru yang membuat materi matematika berdasarkan hal-hal yang ada dalam kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

Problem-solving is a crucial 21st-century skill that plays a vital role in mathematics education. One practical approach to developing this skill is through mathematical modelling, particularly by employing GeoGebra-assisted MEA learning. This study aims to: (1) evaluate the quality of GeoGebra-assisted MEA learning; (2) examine the influence of mathematical resilience on Mathematical Modelling Problem-Solving Ability (MMPSA); and (3) describe students’ MMPSA based on their levels of mathematical resilience. A mixed-methods approach was employed using a Sequential Explanatory design, with instruments including questionnaires, tests, observations, and interviews. The sample consisted of Class VII A as the experimental group and Class VII B as the control group, each comprising 30 students. Eight students were selected as qualitative subjects based on their mathematical resilience levels. The results indicate that GeoGebra-assisted MEA learning demonstrates high instructional quality and significantly enhances students’ MMPSA. Quantitative findings show that mathematical resilience has a significant effect, accounting for 30% of the variance in students’ problem-solving performance. These results are further supported by qualitative data obtained through observations and interviews. Students with high resilience tended to be confident, persistent, and effective in solving problems. Those with moderate resilience showed adequate capability but lacked precision, while students with low resilience were easily discouraged and exhibited low self-confidence. In conclusion, integrating quantitative and qualitative findings underscores the importance of fostering mathematical resilience to enhance students’ problem-solving abilities, particularly in the context of GeoGebra-assisted MEA in mathematical modelling.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in developing high-quality human resources, and mathematics serves as a strategic discipline for strengthening logical, critical, and analytical thinking skills. One of the key competencies emphasized by the NCTM is mathematical problem-solving, which remains relatively low according to the 2022 PISA results. To address this issue, the GeoGebra-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model is applied because it fosters interactive and meaningful learning experiences. This study aims to analyze research trends and the implementation of mathematical problem-solving skills through the GeoGebra-assisted PBL model. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) combined with bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. A total of 200 articles were initially identified from the Google Scholar database through the Publish or Perish application (2021–2025); after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria and quality assessment procedures, 9 articles were selected for final synthesis and bibliometric mapping of keyword co-occurrence, network, and overlay visualizations. The analysis shows that the implementation of the GeoGebra-assisted PBL model consistently enhances students’ mathematical problem-solving skills. PBL cultivates critical thinking skills, while GeoGebra supports concrete visualization of mathematical concepts. The integration of both has proven effective and innovative in improving mathematics learning outcomes in the digital era.

Abstract

Indonesia tengah memasuki era Revolusi Industri 4.0 sehingga peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia melalui penguasaan keterampilan abad ke-21 menjadi penting untuk mendukung daya saing global. Salah satu ketrampilan abad ke-21, yaitu kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Namun, fakta menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis perserta didik masih dalam kategori mendasar. Oleh karena itu, inovasi dalam pembelajaran sangat penting untuk mendukung peningkatan kemampuan dalam memecahkan masalah matematis. Model CBL-STEM yang didasarkan pada video animasi menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk memperbaiki kemampuan dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk menjelaskan usaha peningkatan keterampilan dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis melalui penggunaan Challenge Based Learning (CBL) yang terintegrasi dengan konteks STEM yang berbasis pada video animasi. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pendekatan analisis yang meliputi tiga tahap, yakni: (1) pengelompokan, (2) penggabungan, dan (3) penentuan. Temuan dari penyelidikan ini mengungkapkan bahwa model CBL mendorong terwujudnya pembelajaran yang bermakna dengan menghubungkan konteks STEM dengan aktivitas sehari-hari. Integrasi STEM education dan world problem dalam CBL melatih peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan masalah kontekstual. Video animasi berperan sebagai media yang membantu memvisualisasikan ide utama dan materi pembelajaran sehingga memudahkan peserta didik dalam menganalisis menentukan strategi dan menyelesaikan masalah. Implementasi inovasi CBL-STEM yang berlandaskan video animasi memiliki kemungkinan untuk dikembangkan pada berbagai konsep dalam matematika.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi pendidikan mendorong perlunya inovasi dalam pembelajaran matematika, salah satunya melalui digitalisasi Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) yang terintegrasi dengan evaluasinya untuk mendukung Kompetensi Kreativitas Matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh gambaran kemampuan guru matematika SMP di wilayah eks-Karesidenan Semarang dalam melakukan digitalisasi LKS tersebut, sekaligus menilai kompetensi kreativitas matematis siswa selama implementasinya. Penelitian menggunakan metode campuran dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Sampel terdiri atas 20 guru matematika, enam di antaranya diwawancarai untuk pendalaman kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan menggunakan uji-t berbantuan SPSS, sedangkan analisis kualitatif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, interpretasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata kemampuan guru sebesar 87,98 dan penerimaan positif terhadap digitalisasi LKS sebagai inovasi pembelajaran. Kompetensi kreativitas matematis siswa dari dua SMP menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 85,44 dan 83,00 setelah implementasi. Kendala utama mencakup keterbatasan jaringan Wi-Fi dan kebutuhan kuota internet. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa digitalisasi LKS efektif mendukung kreativitas matematis siswa serta layak diterapkan lebih luas, dengan dukungan pelatihan guru dan penguatan infrastruktur teknologi.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pendekatan open-ended terhadap peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Penjelasan tersebut menunjukkan pentingnya melakukan meta-sintesis secara komprehensif tentang pengaruh pendekatan open-ended untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis secara keseluruhan, jelas, dan mendalam. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan jenis meta analisis, dimana peneliti akan merangkum data penelitian, mereview, dan menganalisis data penelitian dari beberapa hasil penelitian yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pendekatan open-ended terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis, yang ditinjau dari 4 indikator yaitu, mengajukan dugaan, melakukan manipulasi matematika, memberikan kesimpulan, menyusun bukti, memberikan alasan atau bukti terhadap beberapa solusi, serta memeriksa kesahihan dari pernyataan.  Kata kunci: Penalaran Matematis, Open-ended, Meta Sintesis.  Abstract: This research aimed to describe an open-ended approach to improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This explanation shows the importance of conducting a comprehensive meta-synthesis regarding the influence of the open-ended approach to improving overall, transparent and in-depth mathematical reasoning abilities. This research method is meta-analysis type research, where researchers will summarize research data, review and analyze data from several previously existing research results. The results of this research are that the open-ended approach is proven to be effective in improving mathematical reasoning abilities, which are viewed from 4 indicators, namely, making conjectures, carrying out mathematical manipulations, providing conclusions, compiling evidence, providing reasons or evidence for several solutions, and checking the validity of statements. Keywords: Mathematical Reasoning, Open-ended, Meta Synthesis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk  menganalisis  kemampuan  berpikir  kreatif matematis siswa SMA dalam  menyelesaikan  masalah  matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan 34 siswa kelas X di salah satu sekolah di Kabupaten Cirebon. Teknik pengumpulan  data  dilakukan  melalui  tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan siswa berada pada kategori sedang yang memenuhi indikator kelancaran, orisinalitas, dan elaborasi. Hanya  1 siswa  dengan  kategori  tinggi, 30 siswa  kategori  sedang, dan 3 siswa kategori  rendah. Dominannya kategori sedang disebabkan oleh keterbatasan siswa dalam mengembangkan strategi penyelesaian alternatif. Indikator  dengan rata  rata tertinggi adalah kelancaran, sedangkan indikator terendah adalah fleksibilitas. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa cukup mampu menghasilkan ide, tetapi masih kurang fleksibel dalam menggunakan strategi pemecahan masalah. Sehingga, Kemampuan ini perlu ditingkatkan agar siswa dapat memecahkan masalah dengan berbagai solusi dan memenuhi tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke  21. This study focused on analyzing the¬  mathematical  creative  thinking  abilities of high school students  in solving  mathematical problems. The method used was a descriptive qualitative approach involving 34 grade 10 students  in  one of the schools in Cirebon Regency. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observations, and  interviews. The  data  obtained  were  analyzed  using  data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings showed  that overall students were in the medium category that met the indicators of fluency, originality, and elaboration. Only 1 student was in the  high category, 30 students were in the medium category,   and 3 students  were in the low  category. The dominance of the medium  category was caused by students' limitations in developing alternative solution strategies. The indicator with the highest average was fluency, while the lowest indicator was flexibility. These findings indicate that students are quite capable of generating ideas, but still lack flexibility in using problem  solving strategies. Therefore, this ability needs  to  be improved so  that  students can solve problems with  various solutions  and meet the demands of 21st  century learning.
