Abstract

Current technological advancements are driving changes in assessment practices. The teachers at SMA N 1 Lubuk Sikaping have not yet optimally implemented digital formative assessments. The Community Partnership Program in the form of technical guidance on creating digital formative assessments to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is needed by the teachers at SMA N 1 Lubuk Sikaping. This activity aims to motivate and assist Physics teachers in continuously improving their competencies, particularly in knowledge. This community service activity in the form of mentoring uses a method that consists of several stages. The first stage is the preparation stage, the second stage is the guided and independent activity stage, and the third stage is monitoring. This activity received a positive response from the participants, namely the teachers of SMA N 1 Lubuk Sikaping, with more than half of the participants stating that the training was interesting, beneficial, and effective.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid development of technology from various fields, one of which is in the field of education. In the world of education, this technology has an important role in the continuity of the learning process. The use of electronic-based teaching materials is one of the utilization of technology in the learning process. One of the teaching materials that can be used is the Electronic Learner Worksheet (E-LWS). The purpose of the research is to make STEM-based electronic student worksheets with PBL models on motion kinematics material to support the critical thinking skills of SMA/MA students. The creation of Learner Worksheets is expected to be not only valid in terms of content and structure but also effective in facilitating a more meaningful learning experience for students. This research used the Research and Development (R&D) method. The validation process was carried out by three physics lecturers from Padang State University (UNP). Analysis of the results of the validation instrument showed that the developed Learner Worksheet obtained a validation score of 0.95. The score obtained is included in the "valid" category. Therefore, the product made in this study STEM-based Learner Worksheets with PBL model is considered valid and suitable for use as one of the innovative teaching materials to support students' critical thinking skills in understanding motion kinematics material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the need for developing electronic-based teaching materials (e-modules). The research is a descriptive study conducted at a high school in Padang City, involving 140 students as participants. A questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument to assess students' needs for teaching materials and their characteristics. The questionnaire includes five indicators: 1) student characteristics, 2) implementation of physics learning, 3) use of teaching materials in physics lessons, 4) students' needs for teaching materials, and 5) students' 21st-century skills. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings revealed that 1) 67% of students struggle with physics lessons, 2) 53% of students reported that feedback from teachers at the end of physics lessons is inadequate, 3) 45% of students have not used diverse teaching materials, 4) 80% of students need additional learning resources, such as teaching materials with text, images, and videos, for independent study, and 5) 51% of students have low 21st-century skills. These results underscore the need for developing electronic teaching materials (e-modules) to support physics learning

Abstract

This study aims to develop an assessment instrument based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) to assess high school students' problem-solving abilities in the subject of physics on renewable energy using the Plomp development model. The study was conducted through three main stages, namely (1) preliminary research to analyze needs (2) prototyping phase to design and validate the assessment instrument, and (3) assessment phase to conduct limited trials and product revisions. The assessment instrument was developed by containing essay questions based on real contexts that require critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills. The results of expert validation showed that the assessment was in the valid category with an average percentage score of 0.93. Trials on high school students showed that the assessment was able to measure variations in problem-solving abilities more comprehensively. Thus, this HOTS assessment based on the Plomp model is effective for evaluating physics problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Particle Dynamics learning requires higher-order thinking skills, particularly critical thinking skills. However, many students still experience difficulties in analyzing problems and drawing appropriate inferences related to physics concepts. This study aims to analyze undergraduate students’ critical thinking skills profiles and examine the need for developing electronic student worksheets (E-Student Worksheets) for Particle Dynamics learning. A quantitative descriptive approach with a descriptive exploratory design was employed. The participants were 61 undergraduate students from a Physics Education program who had completed or were currently taking the Basic Physics course. The participants were selected using purposive sampling because they had prior exposure to Particle Dynamics concepts, making them suitable for critical thinking skills assessment and needs analysis. Data were collected using two instruments: a critical thinking skills test and a needs analysis questionnaire. The critical thinking skills test consisted of open-ended physics problems designed based on Facione’s framework of critical thinking indicators, including interpretation, analysis, evaluation, explanation, and inference. Descriptive statistical analysis using mean scores and percentages was applied to analyze the data. The results indicate that students’ critical thinking skills are generally low, with average scores ranging from 35 to 39 across all indicators, particularly in the areas of analysis and inference. Furthermore, the needs analysis results show that all indicators related to instructional material development fall within the “Needed” category (61–80%), supported by students’ high digital engagement. These findings imply that instructional materials should be designed to provide structured guidance that facilitates students’ reasoning processes in solving Particle Dynamics problems. Therefore, the development of critical thinking–integrated electronic student worksheets is considered urgent and has strong potential to improve the quality of Particle Dynamics learning at the undergraduate level

Abstract

Along with the advancement of the times and the demands for integrated, unified, and fast services, the Regional Government has issued a digital government management system policy at the village level. However, its management has not been optimal at the Batu Bulek Village Head's Office, North Lintau Buo District, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra. The first problem is the limited capacity of village government human resources to manage the ADM system and digital services. This community service activity aims to provide mentoring and coaching to improve the capacity of Batu Bulek Village government human resources to manage the village digital system. Mentoring and coaching are carried out by providing training to village officials, especially on the introduction and how to use the village website. The results of the community service show that the human resource capacity of village officials has increased, especially in managing the Batu Bulek village website.

Abstract

Kinerja aspal sebagai material utama perkerasan jalan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi lingkungan, terutama air, suhu, dan beban lalu lintas berulang yang dapat memicu terbentuknya retakan mikro dan mempercepat degradasi struktur. Permasalahan ini menjadi semakin krusial diwilayah beriklim tropis dengan curah hujan tinggi, sehingga diperlukan inovasi untuk meningkatkan ketahan dan umur layanan aspal. Peneletian ini mengkaji pemanfaatan bakteri Escherichia Coli sebagai agen biologis dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kuat tekan pada aspal. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen laboratorium dengan memvariasikan konsentrasi bakteri yang digunakan, yaitu 101, 103, 106, dan 109 sel/ml, yang diaplikasikan pada aspal penetrasi 60/70. Pengujian difokuskan pada satu parameter utama, yaitu kuat tekan yang diamati melalui proses penutupan ratakan mikro secara virtual dan mikroskopis dalam periode waktu tertentu serta melalui analisis Marshall Test. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan mendapati bahwa konsentrasi bakteri 109 sel/ml memiliki peningkatan yang paling tinggi baik itu pada sifat hidrofobik, dan kuat tekan, dan konsentrasi bakteri yang paling optimal untuk digunakan adalah bakteri dengan konsentrasi 103 sel/ml pada semua pengujian. Hasil penelitian diharapkan mampu menunjukkan hubungan antara variasi konsentrasi bakteri dengan peningkatan performa aspal, serta menentukan konsentrasi optimum yang memberikan efek paling signifikan tanpa menurunkan kualitas material. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan material aspal cerdas berbasis bioteknologi yang lebih tahan terhadap air, memiliki kemampuan daya tekan yang baik, serta mendukung pembangunan infrastruktur yang berkelanjutan dan ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat menganalisis pengaruh komposisi agregat kasar dan agregat sedang terhadap kuat tekan variasi komposisi aspal. Agregat merupakan komponen utama dalam pencampuran aspal yang sangat mempengaruhi stabilitas dan daya tahan dalam perkerasan jalan. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan komposisi agregat kasar dengan agregat sedang sebesar 40%:26%, 38%:28%, 36%:30%, 34%:32%, dan 32%:34%, sedangkan untuk agregat halus dibuat tetap sebesar 34%. Sampel campuran aspal diuji menggunakan alat Marshall Test untuk dapat mengetahui nilai kuat tekan setiap variasi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan dari komposisi agregat dapat mempengaruhi kuat tekan campuran aspal. Variasi dengan komposisi agregat kasar 38% dan agregat sedang 28% menghasilkan nilai kuat tekan tertinggi sebesar 790 kgf, sedangkan nilai terendah diperoleh pada variasi agregat kasar 32% dan agregat sedang 34% sebesar 600 kgf. Komposisi agregat yang seimbang mampu membentuk suatu struktur campuran yang lebih padat, stabil, dan memiliki daya ikat yang baik sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas perkerasan jalan.

Abstract

Aspal sebagai material utuma dalam kontruksi jalan memiliki keterbatasan terhadap pengaruh air, suhu, dan beban lalu lintas berulang yang dapat menurunkan kinerja mekanisnya. Parameter penting untuk menilai kinerja tersebut adalah kuat tekan, yang menggambarkan kemampuan aspal untuk menahan beban tanpa mengalami deformasi atau kerusakan struktur. Studi ini mengkaji pendekatan inovatif berbasis teknologi bioteknologi melalui pemanfaatan bakteri sebagai bahan tambahan untuk meningkatkan kuat tekan aspal. Dua jenis bakteri yang digunakan, adalah Escherichia Coli dan Staphylococcus Aureus, dipilih berdasarkan perbedaan karakteristik biologisnya, khususnya dalam menghasilkan biofilm dan ekspolisakarida (EPS) yang berpotensi mempengaruh stuktur internal aspal. Metode studi ini dilakukan secara eksperimental dilabortorium dengan mengaplikasikan bakteri pada aspal pen 60/70. Pengujian ini difokuskan pada parameter kuat tekan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan bakteri terhadap peningkatan kekuatan mekanis aspal. Dari studi yang sudah dilakukan diperoleh hasil bahwa bakteri yang paling signifikan dalam menaikan kuat tekan aspal adalah bakteri Escherichia Coli. Hasil studi ini diharapkan dapat menunjukkan perbedaan efektivitas kedua jenis bakteri dalam meningkatkan nilai kuat tekan aspal. Studi ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan material perkerasan jalan yang memiliki kekuatan lebih baik dan umur pakai lebih panjang, serta membuka peluang pemamfaatan teknologi bioaspal dalam skala yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Implementasi kurikulum merdeka menuntut ketersediaan bahan ajar yang inovatif dan interaktif, khususnya yang sesuai dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Namun, LKPD yang digunakan di SMA Negeri 13 Padang masih terbatas dan belum sepenuhnya mendukung pembelajaran berbasis PBL, terutama pada materi vektor fase F. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas E-LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning menggunakan media flipbook. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D yang terdiri dari tahap define, design, development, dan disseminate. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen validasi yang dinilai oleh tiga orang validator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD yang dikembangkan memperoleh kategori valid dengan indeks validitas pada komponen substansi materi sebesar 0.86; tampilan komunikasi visual sebesar 0.92, desain pembelajaran 0.83; pemanfaatan software sebesar 0.85, dan integrasi PBL sebesar 0.81. Dengan demikian, E-LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning menggunakan flipbook pada materi vektor dinyatakan valid dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.
