Abstract

The purpose of class action research is to increase the students activity on buffer and salt hydrolysis by using cooperative learning type sending greeting and question. The students of class XI IPA MA Al-Khairaat Gorontalo city as the subject of the research fourteen (14) people, consist five for boys and nine for girls. T6he successful qualification of this research are : (1) minimum 75 % from all the teacher activity and students that observed achieve the target, (2) minimum 80% of students thet gooten action get mark 6,5 upper with the understanding of material average 65%. Students activity in learning process is influenced by the result of students learning. Presentate average of students activity in cycle I : 27,88% get excellent, 51,07% get good, 17,86% get intermediate, 3,57% get bed. The result of students learning 71,43% with the understanding of material 64,8%. Cycle II : presentate average of students activity 68,57% get excellent, 27,14% get good, 4.,29% get intermediate, the result of students learning 85,72% and the understanding of material 80,25% Base on the data of research result, then the hypotesis of action tested the truth, namely :by using cooperative learning model type sending greeting and question in buffer and salt hydrolysis, then the students learning activity increase

Abstract

The research is experiment research that aimed to prove the different of students achievement that was taught by using SETS approach and by conventional significantly at MAN Limbotos students. The population were students of XA class, XB class and XC class of MAN Limboto in 2008/2009 academics years that consisted of 86 students. The sample was students of XA class and XC class that consisted of 50 students. The sample was taken by using Cluster Random Sampling technique. The instruments in collecting the data was essay test that validity and reliability had tested before. Method of data analyses were normality test, homogenity test and hypothesis test. At hypothesis test, it got tcount = 2.322, while ttable = 1,711. The result showed that students achievement that was taught by using SETS approach is better than students achievement that was taught by using conventional in Oxidation and Reduction Reaction lesson.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan isolasi dan identifikasi zat warna dari saos tomat. Pada tahap isolasi menghasilkan isolat berbentuk serbuk berwarna merah. Uji kemurnian isolat dilakukan dengan metode kromatografi lapis tipis dengan fasa gerak yang berbeda yaitu: Isopropanol : Air : Asam Formiat (40:10: 2); Metanol : Aseton (60 : 40); Isopropanol : Amonia : Air (10 : 1 : 1); Isopropanol : Amonia (4 : 1); Metanol : Air (4 : 1); dan Metanol : Aseton (3 : 2), menghasilkan bercak tunggal dengan nilai Rf berturut-turut : 0,9 ; 0,9; 0,9; 0,9; 0,7; dan 0,9. Identifikasi senyawa isolat dilakukan dengan analisis berdasarkan teknik kromatografi lapis tipis dengan membandingkan nilai Rf dari isolat dengan nilai Rf dari zat warna merah yang dibeli di pasaran Gorontalo. Hasil analisis data kromatografi lapis tipis senyawa isolat diduga sebagai zat warna yang identik dengan zat warna sintetik certified color jenis Ponceau 4 R dengan nilai Rf 0,9. Terhadap isolat dilakukan pula uji kelarutan dan reaksinya terhadap pereaksi-pereaksi tertentu, dan menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut:mudah larut dalam air, dan memberikan larutan berwarna merah jingga, larut dalam gliserol dan glikol, mudah larut dalam alkohol 95%. Warnanya sedikit luntur oleh asam asetat 10%, dengan larutan NaOH 30 % akan menghasilkan larutan berwarna kekuningan, dan isolat ini dapat diendapkan dengan tawas 5%

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah suatu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA-3 SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman pada pokok Bahasan Koloid dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Bakulikan pada Siswa Kelas XI IPA-3 SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo, Tahun Ajaran 2010-2011 yang berjumlah 37 orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan mengikut sertakan seorang guru pengamat. Kriteria keberhasilan penelitian ini adalah 85% siswa memperoleh nilai 7,5 keatas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Bakulikan ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa yang dilaksanakan dengan meninngkatnya hasil belajar siswa. Pada sisklus I hasil belajar siswa sebesr 78,38% dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 91,89%. Dan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Bakulikan pada materi koloid dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dengan ditunjukan dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar Siswa Kelas XI IPA-3 SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo.

Abstract

This research is a laboratory experiment, which intends to isolate and characterize chitosan of windu shrimps skin, which is cultivated in Gorontalo by using Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectrophotometer. The result of water analysis and degree, ash degree, and the degree of deasetilation, which were found were in accordance to standard parameter of chitosan which is required, that are 8%, 1,5% and 80,01%. The test of chitosan solubility characteristic was apparently in accordance with standard parameter of chitosan quality that is not soluble in water, concentrated NH3, Na2SO4 2%, slightly soluble in concentrated HCl, concentrated HNO3 and soluble in CH3COOH 1%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan suatu eksperimen laboratorium yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis protein yang terdapat dalam ikan Nike. Penetuan kadar protein yang dihitung adalah persen nitrogen total, kemudian dikalikan dengan faktor konversi, hingga didapat kadar protein kasar pada ikan Nike yang dianalisis. Penelitian ini dilanjutkan dengan melakukan identifikasi adanya asam amino melalui metode Kromatografi Kertas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan kadar protein pada ikan Nike dari hari pertama dan hari Terakhir kemunculannya. Kadar protein kasar pada ikan Nike hari pertama yaitu 2,7315 % sedangkan pada hari terakhir yaitu 4,083 %. Hasil identifikasi diduga di dalam ikan Nike terdapat asam-asam amino esensial yaitu Leusin, Isoleusin, Metionin dan Threonin.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to isolate and find the alkaloid compounds contained in the leaves of avocado (Persea americana Mill). The method used is the isolation of pure compounds to obtain isolates. 400 g of avocado leaves macerated with methanol solvent yield 53.41 gr of methanol extract. The results of column chromatography I yield 17 fractions, the fraction N12 is re-elected for column chromatography II. The results of chromatography N12 obtained isolate pure in fractions 7. This isolate is tested purity by using thin layer chromatography with eluent variations produce a single stain pattern, so it can proceed with the test isolate phytochemicals. The results of IR spectrophotometer data interpretation, isolate pure fractions 7 indicates the presence of alkaloid compounds having functional groups N-H (3311.55 cm-1), C-H aliphatic (2921.96 cm-1, 2850.59 cm-1), C=O (1735.81 cm-1, 1641.31 cm-1), C-N (1240.14 cm-1, 1130.21 cm-1), C-H Aromatic (910.34 cm-1, 846 cm-1), N-C=O (580.53 cm-1). The results of UV-Vis spectrophotometer from fractions 7 gives absorption wavelength of 238.5 nm indicating the occurrence of electron transition n * and n * which indicates the existence of C=O and N-H groups.

Abstract

Isolation and Characterization of Alkaloid Compounds from Plant Sirsak (Annona muricata Linn.) Seeds. Have done the isolation and characterization of the alkaloid content in seeds of Sirsak (A muricata Linn) plant. Isolation was performed with the maceration extraction by using methanol solvent. Condensed methanol extracts fractionated successively with n-hexane and ethyl acetate. Further separation process that is focused on condensed methanol extract using column chromatography, as used silica gel stationary phase and mobile phase was a mixture of n-hexane: ethyl acetate, and ethyl acetate: methanol with gradient have. Purity of the isolates obtained was tested using Thin Layer Chromatography. Isolates were further characterized using UV-Vis and Infrared. The results of spectroscopic analysis of UV-Vis and Infrared (IR) suggested that isolates is a class of alkaloid compound with Alkaloids-Indole type that have characteristics of functional groups N-H, aliphatic C-H, C-N, C=C aliphatic, C=O, =C-H aromatic and provide wavelength spectra max 282.5 nm and 237.5 nm.

Abstract

The aim of study was to determine the growth of Staphylococcus aureus on The Medium that Exposed with sambiloto leaf infusion. The study was done at microbiology laboratory, Biology Department, Gorontalo State University. The descriptive method was used, that describes of the effect of sambiloto leaf infusion to S. aureus growth, which refers to the specific growth rate and generation time in bitter leaf infusion concentration variation during the incubation period 72 hours. The results showed that the sambiloto leaf infusion have bacteriostatic effect on S. aureus growth with specific growth rates at concentrations (v/v) of 0%, 25%, 50% and 75% were 0.362, 0.260, 0.169 and 0.974 / h and each of generation time were 1.92, 2.66, 4.09 and 9.29 hours. Abstract

Millettia, one of the main genus of Fabaceae, known to produce flavonoid compounds. Some isoflavones compounds such as jamaicin, were found from the leaves of M. ichthyochtona afforded. Compound Jamaicin was found for the from M. ferruginea. Struktur determination of these compounds was carried out based on physical and spectroscophic method (UV,IR, 1H-NMR, dan 13C-NMR).
