Abstract

High schools in Kediri City on average have adequate facilities and laboratory facilities, but entrepreneurial practices based on appropriate technology in the field of Biology are rarely carried out in schools. The city of Kediri has abundant potential for coconut water and the price is affordable, so it can be used as an ingredient for making nata de coco. Training on making nata de coco is considered suitable because it is one of the applications of simple biotechnology at high school level. The aim of the activity is to increase the entrepreneurial interest and enthusiasm of Kediri City High School students based on biology knowledge (biopreneur). Activities begin with the preparation, publication and socialization stages, implementation of training and responses from training participants. The material for making nata de coco was considered to be well received, it was proven that participants were able to carry out the procedure for making nata de coco according to the explanation of the presenter. Teachers and high school students also showed good responses and high enthusiasm, through the many questions regarding the training activities that had been carried out

Abstract

Background: The handling of emergency patients is very important for a nurse to master, because quick, precise and accurate actions will determine the patient's survival. Delay in handling in just a minute greatly affects the prognosis because brain injury and heart systems in a long time can cause biological death while clinical death can occur afterwards. Purpose : This study aims to study the relationship between BTCLS (Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support) knowledge and skills in performing an initial assessment in the emergency room. Methods: This study used a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all nurses in the emergency room of RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu. The sampling technique used total sampling with a total of 31 nurses. This study used primary data obtained from filling out a nurse's knowledge questionnaire regarding BTCLS and observation using a checklist to assess the initial assessment. Results: The level of knowledge about BTCLS in the low was 1 person (3.2%), fair knowledge of BTCLS was 10 people (32.3%), and good knowledge of BTCLS was 20 people (64.5%). The skills of nurses in carrying out the initial assessment were found in the low category of 5 people (16.1%), fair category for 10 people (32.3%), and good for 16 people (51.6%). This study used the Somers'd test to obtain a correlation coefficient = 0.391 with a p-value = 0.013 <0.05 which is significant, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Conclusion: There is a relationship between nurses' knowledge about BTCLS with skills in conducting initial assessments in the emergency room. Because the value of the correlation coefficient lies in the interval 0.20-0.40, the relationship category is weak.

Abstract

Based on data from the monthly PWS (Local Area Monitoring) report at theLucky Baru Health Center from January to July 2022 the number of pregnant womenwas 199 people, there were 105 pregnant women in the first trimester, and 94 pregnantwomen in the third trimester, the results obtained were 85 pregnant women (42, 78%) ofthem have dental health problems.This study aims to determine and analyze differences in dental and oral hygiene inpregnant women in the first and third trimesters. The type of research used is analytic.This research approach uses cross sectional. The total sample is 70 pregnant womenwith 35 respondents in the first trimester, 35 respondents in the third trimester. Samplingwith total sampling.The results showed that in the first trimester the average OHI-S was 2.53, the thirdtrimester was 1.48. In the results of statistical tests with Independent t test analysis, itwas found that the mean difference (average difference) was 1.05, with the known t-count value of 4.608, the p value (probability value) of the test showed p = 0.000, so it issmaller than 0.05 or (p = 0.000 < 0.05).It can be concluded that there are differences in dental and oral hygiene for pregnantwomen in the first and third trimesters in area of the BeruntungBaru Health Center,Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. It is recommended that there be counseling activitiesby health workers for behavioral changes in pregnant women in maintaining dental andoral hygiene.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kecerdasan logis-matematis dan sikap religius siswa dengan moderasi lingkungan sekolah berbasis agama di MI Miftahul Ulum Jember. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei korelasional digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan pengumpulan data melalui tes kecerdasan logis-matematis serta kuesioner sikap religius dan lingkungan sekolah berbasis agama. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan logis-matematis dan sikap religius siswa, yang mengindikasikan bahwa kemampuan berpikir logis dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami dan menginternalisasi ajaran agama islam. Selain itu, lingkungan sekolah berbasis agama memiliki peran dalam memperkuat hubungan ini, meskipun pengaruhnya tidak signifikan secara statistik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa sekolah berbasis agama tetap berperan dalam membentuk karakter siswa melalui budaya religius, peran guru sebagai pembimbing spiritual, serta integrasi nilai Islam dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengombinasikan metode logis dalam studi agama serta penciptaan lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif untuk mendukung keseimbangan antara perkembangan akademik dan religius siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek media audio visual terhadap sikap kesiapsiagaan masyarakat dalam bencana banjir. Metode: Studi ini adalah studi pra-eksperimental dengan satu kelompok pretest - posttest. Anggota masyarakat di desa Tanjung, Kecamatan Hamparan Rawang, Provinsi Jambi, direkrut dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan sampel purposive. Orang dewasa dari komunitas yang berjumlah 77 orang direkrut dalam penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang terdiri dari 14 item. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil: Studi pra-eksperimental ini menunjukkan bahwa penyediaan media audio visual sebagai edukasi bencana banjir berdampak pada sikap kesiapsiagaan masyarakat. ( = 0.000 <  = 0.05). Media audio visual sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran untuk memberikan edukasi tentang kesiapsiagaan banjir berkorelasi positif dengan sikap masyarakat. Sikap secara positif terkait dengan pendidikan dari media audio visual. Simpulan: Media audio visual ternyata efektif untuk meningkatkan sikap masyarakat terhadap kesiapsiagaan bencana banjir. program pendidikan bencana banjir melalui media audio visual harus ditingkatkan dan dirancang lebih baik dalam studi masa depan.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the fact that the mathematical problem-solving ability of junior high school students during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia was low. The strategy and approach used in learning mathematics are success factors in the mathematics learning process. One of the objectives of this research is to analyze the mathematical problem-solving ability of junior high school students using mobile learning with the Microsoft Kaizala application. The method used in this research is an experiment with a Pre-Experimental Design Research and One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design Research Design. The research was conducted at SMPN 50 Satap Oku, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra Province. The results showed that the final mathematical problem-solving ability of students who received learning using mobile learning with the Microsoft Kaizala application was better than the students’ initial mathematical problem-solving ability and the average percentage of students’ mathematical problem-solving ability achievement after using the Microsoft Kaizala application was 85.16% (excellent). It means that the students’ problem-solving ability is getting better after using mobile learning with Microsoft Kaizala application.

Abstract

The efficiency of government spending in the health and education sectors is a crucial factor in achieving sustainable development goals. This study analyzes the budget spending efficiency of provinces with a high Human Development Index (HDI) in Indonesia during the 2021-2023 period using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with the Constant Return to Scale (CRS) approach, and an input-oriented perspective. The input variables include budget allocation and resources (medical personnel for health; number of schools for education), while the output variables consist of performance indicators such as Life Expectancy, Maternal/Infant Mortality Rates (health), and Literacy Rate and Years of Schooling (education). The results of the study show variations in efficiency achievements across provinces. Riau and the Riau Islands consistently achieved perfect efficiency (score 1) in both sectors, while provinces such as DI Yogyakarta and East Kalimantan experienced inefficiencies, with the education sector being more stable than health. These findings indicate the need for optimization of budget allocation, human resource capacity building, and the application of technology to enhance efficiency, particularly in the health sector. This study provides empirical contributions to fiscal effectiveness and policy recommendations to strengthen regional budget management. The implications of the research include the importance of data-based monitoring systems, inter-provincial benchmarking, and multi-stakeholder collaboration to ensure sustainable human development.

Abstract

Tsunami merupakan serangkaian gelombang raksasa yang bergerak sangat cepat, terjadi akibat adanya pergerakan air yang tiba-tiba di dasar laut, dan dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan, kerugian harta benda, serta hilangnya nyawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dengan kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi bencana tsunami pada siswa SMK di Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan rancangan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X di salah satu sekolah SMK Kota Bengkulu berjumlah 140 orang. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling didapatkan sebanyak 58 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat, dan bivariate menggunakan uji rank spearman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan dari 58 sampel, terdapat 44 orang (75,9%) berpengetahuan baik dan 51 orang (87%) memiliki kesiapsiagan yang baik.. Hasil analisis korelasi Rank Spearman (rho) diperoleh nilai = 0,370 dengan p-value = 0,04 0,05. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan kesiapsiagaan menghadapi bencana tsunami pada siswa SMKN Kota Bengkulu. Diharapkan siswa memiliki kesiapsigaan yang baik di sekolah, agar jika terjadi bencana mereka telah siap untuk melindungi diri sendiri dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of educational gamebased learning media in the subject of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) at SMP Negeri 1 Gondang. The research is motivated by the low learning interest among students toward PPKn, which is often perceived as unengaging and overly theoretical, as well as the limited use of interactive learning media in schools. Educational games such as Wordwall and Canva were selected as alternative tools to create a more dynamic and enjoyable learning experience. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection techniques included direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The research subjects were a PPKn teacher and ten students from class VIII A. The findings indicate that the use of educational games positively contributes to increasing students' interest in learning, facilitating better understanding of the subject matter, and encouraging active participation in the learning process. Teachers also found the media beneficial, as it allowed for more varied and engaging content delivery. However, the implementation still faces challenges such as limited access to technological devices and uneven internet connectivity. Therefore, support from the school is needed in terms of infrastructure provision and teacher training to optimize the use of digital media in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the implementation of audio-visual learning media on the ability to write narratives of grade IV students at Bligo State Elementary School. The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental research design of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design type. The sample of this study was all fourth grade students as many as 28 students. The instrument used was a narrative writing test based on six assessment indicators. The results showed that the average posttest score increased compared to the pretest, with the t-test results showing a significance of 0.000 (<0.05) and an eta squared value of 0.991 which showed a very strong influence. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of audio-visual learning media is effective in improving students' narrative writing skills. The use of this media can be used as an alternative to create a more interesting and interactive learning atmosphere.
