Abstract

Food packaging that provides food labels to inform consumers about product quality. Food labeling is done with the aim of providing a sense of security to consumers without having to open the product packaging. Supervision conducted by the Department of Industry and Trade and the Health Service in 12 sub-districts in Banyuwangi district, industrial owners do not have PIRT and do not know the food label conditions. This can increase the potential for insecurity and insecure quality. Packaging food from Banyuwangi area is for the production of home industry in the form of packaging. The objective of the study was to evaluate food labels in household industries that produce diets in Banyuwangi.The research design is cross sectional with observation method in 12 household industries conducted at the Trade Industry Service of Banyuwangi Regency. The data collection used a questionnaire survey on the results of an industrial sample. Descriptive data analysis, presented in proportion to tables and narratives. The results obtained 50% of 12 household products have met the minimum label criteria in accordance with Government Regulation No.69 of 1999 on Food Label and Advertisement. The lower inclusion of the manufacturer's name and address affects the product in the completeness of the label attribute.

Abstract

Food Management Place (TPP) is a place used as production for ready-to-eat processed food starting from preparation, processing, packaging, storage, presentation to transportation which is carried out under supervision, including in the port area. The port is a meeting place for many people from various regions because the port is the entrance to an area, so it can potentially spread diseases that can cause health emergencies. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of TPP sanitation in the Tanjungwangi Port perimeter area, Banyuwangi. The research method used is through observation and interviews. Sampling used the total population in the Tanjungwangi Port perimeter area, which was as many as 6 TPPs were observed. The variable assessment uses a score calculation of all variables with a minimum value of 80 in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2021 concerning Standards for Business Activities and Products in the Implementation of Health Sector Risk-Based Business Licensing. The results of this study are that 6 food stalls in the Tanjungwangi port area have met the minimum requirements for the Environmental Health Inspection, which is above a value of 80. The conclusion of this study is that the food stalls in Tanjungwangi port have a low risk of disease transmission due to poor food sanitation. result in a health emergency.

Abstract

Scabies is a significant disease for public health because it is a substantial contributor to global morbidity and mortality. The prevalence of scabies worldwide is reported to be around 300 million cases annually. The incidence of scabies in Indonesia is still very high and located in West java. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristic risk factors and personal hygiene, as well as to test the sensitivity of these risk factors to the incidence of scabies in Islamic boarding school students. The variable gender has a 2,117 times greater risk, knowledge has a 1,323 times greater risk, bathing habits have a 1.185 times greater risk, cleanliness of clothing has a 1,553 times greater risk of experiencing disease scabies. The results of the meta-analysis that has a greater level of risk in terms of characteristics is the gender variable and the personal hygiene variable that has a greater risk factor is the clothing cleanliness variable. Efforts that can be made by related agencies in the Pondok Pesantren area are to carry out promotive and preventive activities to prevent the occurrence of scabies in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

WHO defines Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) as a disease caused by the dengue virus, genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviradae. Purpose:  of this research is to determine the factors of the occurrence of dengue hemorrhagic fever in the city of Ternate. Methods: The design of this research is a study of population literature. This research is a scientific journal related to public knowledge about the factors that occur in Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, with dengue hemorrhagic fever as a variable.  Results: Results Based on this research showed that research in 6 journals was obtained related to public knowledge about the factors for the occurrence of DHF. There were 6 journals, namely there was a relationship between knowledge in the factors of the occurrence of the disease in terms of knowledge about the occurrence of DHF. Conclusion: From the results of research on 6 journals, it can be related to the community about the factors that occurits pdengue fever. Obtained 4 journals that say there is a relationship between the influence of climate and the epidemiology of DHF events in the factors of the occurrence of DHF with a high percentage value in terms of occurrenceits pdengue fever.

Abstract

Background: Basic sanitation plays a vital role in enhancing human health by ensuring a clean environment, with the availability of proper latrines being essential for the safe disposal of human waste and the prevention of disease transmission. Objective: This study aimed to identify the factors influencing the availability of basic sanitation facilities, particularly family latrines, in Telaga Nipa, located in West Seram Regency. Method: A quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach was applied, involving 100 households, using univariate and bivariate analyses including the chi-square test. Results: The findings showed that both community knowledge and attitudes were significantly associated with the availability of latrines (P value = 0.038 for both), indicating a strong correlation between public understanding and the presence of sanitation facilities. Conclusion: It is essential to improve community awareness and attitudes regarding sanitation to enhance access to proper, health-compliant latrines and support better public health outcomes. Novelty: This study contributes novel empirical data from an underreported and remote region in Eastern Indonesia, highlighting behavioral determinants as critical factors in household sanitation infrastructure.
