Abstract

This study aims to identify the optimization of disaster communication in reducing haze, using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results show that the implementation of disaster communication has been carried out optimally by BPBD of Riau Province, it can be seen from various factors that have been implemented related to disaster communication. These four factors are Costomer Focus, Leadership commitment, Situational awareness, and Media partnership. Although the four factors are also influenced by other things that occur in the field, such as human error, land exploration by companies and weather conditions. This research can be a reference for stakeholders or the government related to the handling of haze. Further in-depth research is needed related to disaster communication in Riau Province, so that the haze problem that occurs every year can be handled optimally

Abstract

This research is based on the low understanding of the concept of Mathematics students in learning Mathematics material of multiplication operation in SD Negeri Nugraha Pelita. The problem is caused by the learning process that is still using conventional methods. This makes learning tends to be boring and students find it difficult to understand the learning materials that have been delivered, so that the impact of student understanding is likely to be low. Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model is very effective to be used as solution to solve the learning problem that happened during this time. The method used in this research is PTK method (Classroom Action Research). The subject of this research is the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Nugraha Pelita in the academic year 2017/2018 with the number of 33 people. Based on the results of learning and research analysis it can be concluded that the model of cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) can improve students' learning comprehension on Mathematics subjects of multiply counting operations in the fourth grade of SD Negeri Nugraha Pelita.

Abstract

This study is aimed to create an English learning media game application as an interesting alternative learning system in order to increase English knowledge and children's interest in learning. It is also to presents the English learning media game application quickly and precisely to the students of SDN Melayu 2 Banjarmasin. The research method used is Applied Research which also used primary data sources and secondary data. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and literature. As for the system development method, the author used the Waterfall method by analyzing the system, functional and non-functional requirements and PIECES analysis by using the Adobe Flash CS6 application program to make English learning media for students. The results of this study are the formation of learning media game applications so that learning for users could make changes in mindset, have a learning spirit and increase the interest of students in learning and are more relevant. The installation could also be accessed easily just by using a computer device.

Abstract

Fruit vegetable intake according to children's needs is very important to support optimal children's growth. Previous studies have shown that more than 80% of pre-school children are not getting an adequate intake of vegetables and fruits. Preliminary studies show that children's daily consumption of fruit vegetables is less than 1 serving. Family-based interventions with child development approaches are needed to increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables. Ten families with preschool children were recruited in this research using the purposive sampling technique. The inclusion criteria were active kindergarten students who were obese or overweight, lived in the Depok area, did not have chronic diseases or other health problems at the time of the study. The result shows that child's nutritional status is 80% obese and 20% overweight with an average body weight decrease from 34.3 kg to 33.2 kg. The obesity risk behavior show decrease in junk food consumption, sugary drink, formula milk, screen time and increase of adequacy fruit vegetable consumption from 0 % to 60%. The combination of family coaching interventions and play therapy can increase the portion of fruit and vegetable consumption in children and reduce the average weight of preschool children. Abstract

Kelompok rentan di masa pandemi Covid-19 mengalami beban masalah yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok lainnya. Salah satunya adalah terbatasnya akses kelompok rentan ke pelayanan kesehatan serta layanan dukungan lainnya. Oleh karenanya, peran tenaga kesehatan dalam memberikan perhatian kepada kelompok rentan ini sangat penting adanya sehingga dapat membantu mengurangi beban masalah kesehatan yang dialami. STIKES Mitra Keluarga mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berbasis evidence-based mengenai pencegahan masalah kesehatan pada kelompok rentan di masa pandemi kepada 206 perawat. Kegiatan ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman perawat sebagai ujung tombak pelayanan primer di masyarakat kepada kelompok rentan. Hasil pengukuran menemukan adanya peningkatan pemahaman perawat terhadap masalah kelompok rentan selama pandemi. Keberlangsungan kegiatan peningkatan pemahaman tenaga kesehatan dapat menjadi salah satu metode yang dapat dilakukan untuk memperkuat dukungan bagi kelompok rentan selama masa pandemi. Peran pemerintah dalam menciptakan keberlangsungan tersebut juga menjadi salah satu faktor utama.

Abstract

This study aims to improve thematic learning outcomes by using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in class III SD Negeri Ketangan 02. In this study applying the type of classroom action research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research subjects were third grade students of SD Negeri Ketangan 02 semester 2 for the 2019/2020 academic year with a total of 16 students. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results of the first cycle research on RPP an average of 81,48% (B), increased in the second cycle to 92.59% (SB), the implementation of the first cycle on teacher activities an average of 82.50% (B) increased in the second cycle to 95.00% (SB), the implementation of the first cycle on student activity an average of 82.50% (B) increased in the second cycle to 95.00% (SB). Student learning outcomes in the first cycle averaged 78 (C), increased in the second cycle to 93 (SB). So it can be concluded that learning by applying the Problem Based Learning model is able to improve student learning outcomes in class III teamtic learning at SD Negeri Ketangan 02.

Abstract

Traumatic experiences can trigger mental-emotional problems in children, especially in disaster conditions. The purpose of this study is to describe mental and emotional problems in children in South Lampung after the Sunda Strait tsunami natural disaster after being given playing therapy with pop-up books. This study uses a quantitative design with quasi-experimental treatment. The population in this study were preschool and school-age children affected by the Sunda Strait tsunami who lived in temporary village shelters in three villages namely Way Muli Timur, Way Muli Barat, and Kunjir as many as 93 children. The mental-emotional state of the child will be measured before and after therapy. Data collection using the Strength Difficulties Questionnaire questionnaire. The test was conducted using the dependent t-test. The results of data analysis showed that in general the level of strength and difficulty of children was abnormally susceptible (63,4%) at the beginning of the measurement and increased towards normal, in other words, there was an effect of playing therapy with pop-up books on the child's emotional mentality. The results of the bivariate test showed that there was an effect of pop-up books play therapy on children's mental-emotional problems (p-value 0,002). It is recommended that play therapy be combined with other therapies, including consistently to reinforce for children from those closest to them, such as nuclear family and other children's closest people.

Wabah Covid-19 yang melanda hampir semua negara, tidak terkecuali di Indonesia memberikan pukulan yang sangat besar, khususnya di bidang perekonomian, yang bisa mengakibatkan jatuhnya strata masyarakat ke posisi terpuruk. Dengan adanya covid-19 ini, maka dampaknya kembali bertambah khususnya pada sejumlah masyarakat yang berada di status ekonomi menengah kebawah .Pada kesempatan kali ini tim pelaksana pengabdian kepada masyarakat Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin, berusaha untuk membantu memberikan solusi atas permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat terdampak covid-19 tersebut dengan melaksakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan dan pembekalan keterampilan dalam memproduksi alat pelindung diri yang selanjutnya diusahakan untuk dipasarkan, dalam rangka untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan perekonomian masyarakat tersebut

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) adalah jenjang pendidikan sebelum pendidikan dasar merupakan suatu upaya pembinaan yang ditujukan bagi anak sejak lahir sampai dengan usia 6 tahun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahuai peran orang tua dalam perkembangan agama dan moral pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi literatur menggunakan metode kualitatif, pengumpulan datanya menggunakan sumber referensi ditelusuri dari buku maupun artikel yang telah di terbitkan. peran orang tua dalam perkembangan agama dan moral pada anak usia dini dilakukan melalui simulasi atau rangsangan pendidikan untuk membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan jasmani dan rohani agar memiliki kesiapan dalam memasuki pendidikan lebih lanjut, yang diselenggarakan pada jalur formal, informal, dan non formal. Keluarga merupakan pendidikan pertama untuk anak. Karena keluarga bagi anak adalah dasar yang utama dalam menanamkan nilai agama untuk anak. Orang tua adalah yang pertama kali dikenal oleh anak dari sejak lahir, tumbuh dan berkembang hingga anak mengenal orang lain.

Abstract

Organic chemistry learning materials about writing the structure of organic chemistry molecules, pictures of simple practical tools are obstacles in learning chemistry. This is due to the lack of technology-based skills to make it easier to write this material in teaching materials. One of the superior teaching methods that needs to be taken into consideration is the provision of multimedia-based teaching materials and supporting facilities. It is hoped that the availability of technological facilities and multimedia teaching materials will make it easier for students to understand the material/lessons. Strengthening the ability to master multimedia-based teaching materials is still hampered by the lack of skills in making KingDraw software teaching materials. Apart from that, the partner has 3 chemical laboratories but does not have a comprehensive insight into natural reagents for chemical analysis that can be used for chemistry practicum. Therefore, in this community service program scheme, the proposer provides several solutions and programs to provide development training. learning media/teaching materials through KingDraw software and introduction to natural reagents for chemical analysis at SMK Bhakti Kencana Cimahi. Strengthening students' competencies by applying the application of natural ingredients as reagents for chemical analysis can help with laboratory practicums in chemical analysis subjects. Thus, this community service activity can be useful for schools to improve the quality of teachers in updating knowledge based on KingDraw software technology to develop teaching materials.
