Abstract

The use of language in textbooks needs to be studied scientifically. The Adiwiyata’s school textbooks certainly contain a wealth of words or a set of terms that contain information about meanings that describe the environment (ecolexicon). The form of ecolexicons in textbooks in Adiwiyata schools needs to be studied and get our attention as a way of preserving the environment. This study aims to describe and classify the ecolexicon forms in Indonesian language textbooks at Adiwiyata School. The research data is in the form of fragments of text that are suspected of having an ecolexicon. The data are collected using the observation method, literature study, and documentation. Furthermore, the data are analyzed using the match and divide method. The data validity technique used in this study was triangulation with stages: discussion, re-checking, and judgment experts. Based on the results of data analysis, it is found that ecolexicons are in the form of words and phrases with references in biotic and abiotic. The ecolexicon forms are classified based on three components: (1) environmentally based curriculum, (2) participatory-based environmental activities, and (3) management of environmentally friendly supporting facilities. In the phrase ecolexicon, nominal phrases, verbal phrases and adjective phrases are found. The results of this study can be used as an enrichment material for Indonesian language learning which illustrates the richness of language vocabulary to preserve the environment

Abstract

This research explains the language choices, characteristics, and influential factors on Instagram found in @Jokowi's account. The researcher collected the data by reading and listening with a recording technique. The advanced data collection technique free-participant observation in a speech, recording and noting techniques. The researcher used the coding method to analyze the data. The findings showed the language choices were a singular variety of Indonesian language, singular variety of English, Indonesia-Javanese code-switching, Indonesia-English code-switching, word-code mixing, and phrase-code mixing. The characteristics of the language were formal and non-formal language. The non-formal language covered slank, expression, abbreviation, specific term, foreign term, vernacular language. The researcher also found formal language uses. The most influential factors of the language were the objectives of the utterance, the topic of the utterance, the speech participants, and the intention-goal factor.

Abstract

The salutations in TikTok comments exhibit diverse and unique forms that warrant exploration and study from a sociolinguistic perspective, utilizing components of speech. The aim of this research is to discern the various forms of salutations in TikTok comments, the variations thereof, and the factors influencing their creation. The research methodology employed is qualitative, analyzing textual fragments and comments perceived as forms of salutations within TikTok. Data sources comprise comments within the TikTok application, collected from March 3, 2023, to July 2023, totaling 42 instances. Data collection utilizes meticulous listening techniques, tabulated and subsequently clarified. Research findings elucidate speech events underlying the emergence of salutations diction in TikTok comments, predominantly among adolescents, particularly young women. The instrumentality of salutations is explicated within TikTok comment texts. Contributions of this research encompass analyses of salutations utilized in comments, revealing patterns of social interaction among TikTok users, offering insights into levels of respect and politeness conveyed through salutations, observing shifts in their usage, identifying potential new trends in salutations among TikTok users, and providing insights into the online behavior of Indonesian society.

Abstract

Fokus program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah akselerasi literasi konservasi melalui teks berita lingkungan hidup bagi siswa SMP lingkar kampus UNNES. Untuk itu, mitra kegiatan ini adalah SMPN 24 Semarang yang merupakan SMP lingkar kampus UNNES. Khalayak sasaran kegiatan ini yaitu 40 siswa SMPN 24 Semarang. Metode pelaksanaan program yang dilaksanakan, yaitu: (1) pemberian informasi tentang hakikat hakikat literasi konservasi melalui teks berita lingkungan hidup bagi siswa SMP lingkar kampus UNNES; (2) pengayaan materi tentang literasi konservasi melalui teks berita lingkungan hidup bagi siswa SMP lingkar kampus UNNES; (3) pemberian pelatihan tentang literasi konservasi melalui teks berita lingkungan hidup bagi siswa SMP lingkar kampus UNNES. Secara teoretis program ini bergayut dengan pendapat Capra (dalam Keraf 2014) dan Salim (2007) yang menyatakan, ekoliterasi (melek ekologi) adalah kemampuan manusia yang sudah mencapai tingkat kesadaran tinggi tentang pentingnya lingkungan hidup. Hal ini berimplikasi bahwa siswa SMP lingkar kampus perlu diberikan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan literasi konservasi melalui teks berita lingkungan hidup agar menyadari betapa pentingnya lingkungan hidup, betapa pentingnya menjaga dan merawat bumi, ekosistem, alam sebagai tempat tinggal dan berkembangnya kehidupan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa FBS UNNES memiliki potensi dan peran strategis dalam memperkuat dan mengembangkan kerja sama dengan SMP lingkar kampus untuk mengakselerasi literasi konservasi bagi siswa.

Abstract

Sudah cukup banyak kajian tentang masyarakat Samin dengan berbagai pendekatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan makna simbolik dan hakikat ajaran. Samin dengan menggunakan konsep tanda sebagaimana dikemukakan Saussure dan semantik sebagaimana dijelaskan Pateda dengan metode studi pustaka. Data diolah dengan menggunakan langkah sebagaimana ditawarkan Miles  Haberman: reduksi data, pencatatan data, dan inferensi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) ajaran Samin yang termuat dalam angger-angger (pratikel, pangucap, dan lakonana) masih dipertahankan, (2) sudah mulai ditemukan perubahan sosial, (3) menggunakan bahasa ngoko dalam setiap ranah, (4) makna simbolik dari ketiga angger-angger: berbuat baik dengan sesama, tidak mengumbar hawa nafsu, jujur, satu kata dengan perbuatan, memerhatikan hak milik; karena hakikatnya hidup itu satu, selamanya, dan kematian hakikatnya hanya “ganti pakaian”, (5) makna simbolik dan hakikat pada pitutur tertentu pada masyarakat Samin  sebagai ciri pembeda dengan masyarakat di luar Samin, seperti ibu bumi, bapak angkasa, rukun(an), anak, turun, dan siji.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini berupaya untuk melakukan penelitian dengan judul “Literasi Budaya pada Mitos “Seni Barongan Kudus” Sebagai Nilai Kearifan Lokal”. Cerita ini mengandung nilai kearifan lokal yang menarik yang bisa dikembangkan untuk pembentukan literasi budaya lokal anak Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan etnografi sebagai salah satu strategi penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggabungkan dua metode utama, yaitu wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif (interactive model analysis) adalah pendekatan yang umum digunakan dalam penelitian kualitatif. Dalam konteks penelitian ini, analisis data melibatkan tiga komponen pokok, yaitu reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat dalam cerita Seni Barongan di Kudus, dapat diambil beberapa kesimpulan: (1) kearifan dalam disiplin dan keterampilan; (2) kedamaian dan keberagaman agama; (3) penghargaan terhadap budaya lokal; (4) pemeliharaan keseimbangan alam; (5) sikap tanggap terhadap perubahan; (6) kepemimpinan yang bijaksana. Pentingnya melestarikan dan menghargai kearifan lokal, terutama melalui cerita rakyat seperti "Singo Barong" dalam Seni Barongan Kudus. Pesan moral dan budaya yang terkandung dalam cerita ini memang mencerminkan keharmonisan antara tradisi lokal dan perubahan sosial, serta pentingnya menjaga keseimbangan dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Literasi budaya tidak hanya membantu anak-anak memahami identitas bangsa Indonesia tetapi juga mempromosikan sikap toleransi dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman budaya yang ada di seluruh nusantara.  The aim of this research is to attempt to conduct research with the title "Cultural Literacy on the Myth of "Seni Barongan Kudus" as a Local Wisdom Value". This story contains interesting local wisdom values that can be developed to form local cultural literacy in elementary school children. The research method used is an ethnographic approach as a qualitative research strategy. This research data collection technique combines two main methods, namely in-depth interviews and observation. Data analysis techniques using interactive models (interactive model analysis) are an approach commonly used in qualitative research. In the context of this research, data analysis involves three main components, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis of local wisdom values contained in the story of Barongan Art in Kudus, several conclusions can be drawn: (1) wisdom in discipline and skills; (2) peace and religious diversity; (3) respect for local culture; (4) maintenance of natural balance; (5) responsiveness to change; (6) wise leadership. The importance of preserving and appreciating local wisdom, especially through folk tales such as "Singo Barong" in the Kudus Barongan Art. The moral and cultural messages contained in this story reflect the harmony between local traditions and social change, as well as the importance of maintaining balance in people's lives. Cultural literacy not only helps children understand the identity of the Indonesian nation but also promotes attitudes of tolerance and appreciation for the cultural diversity that exists throughout the archipelago.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pandangan mahasiswa terhadap Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) dan tokoh-tokohnya. Fokus penelitian mencakup evaluasi terhadap pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep AWK dengan menggunakan Model Foucault. Dengan begitu, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai AWK, khususnya pada model Foucault, serta meningkatkan kemampuan mereka untuk mengaplikasikan konsep tersebut dalam menganalisis teks dan wacana. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teori AWK Foucault. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 5 pada Program Studi Sastra Indonesia Universitas Diponegoro. Sampel yang terlibat sebanyak 57 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi angket dan dokumen. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis isi dan hasil analisisnya disajikan dengan metode informal. Hasil survei menunjukkan meningkatnya rasa keingintahuan yang signifikan mahasiswa terkait konsep-konsep AWK, tokoh-tokoh AWK, dan teori Foucault. Penyampaian materi AWK dapat memicu munculnya sikap berpikir kritis pada mahasiswa Kemudian, berdasarkan analisis teks, penelitian ini masih berfokus pada kesalahan diksi, seperti kata yang bersinonim, kata umum atau khusus, kata denotatif atau konotatif, dan lain-lain.

Abstract

This research is based on the needs of students in the classroom, students experience diffulties in learning science material, especially in material such as what is the culture of my region, which causes student learning outcomes to not be optimal. This research aims to: 1) Analyze the development of local wisdom-based teaching materials on the cognitive learning outcomes of elementri school students. 2)Analyze the feasibility of developing lokal wisdom-based teaching materials on the cognitive learning outcomes of elementary school students. 3). Analyze the effectiveness of developing local wisdom-based teaching materials for elementary school students’ learning aoutcomes. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) with ADDIE development procedures, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis techiques used are qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Research subjects fot class V of Istianah Intgrated Elementary School. This research shows the results of the validation of teaching materials based on 95,45% media validators and 100% material validators from both validators including materials was obtained from the average pretest score of 51.25%, while the posttest averafe score increased by 82.6%, ane the N-Gain test obtained a score of 0.64%. quite effective category. This shows that local wisdom-based teaching materials are suitable for use.

Abstract

Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, features a diverse range of languages. The range of languages spoken by the Bima people in Sambori Village, Lambitu District, demonstrates the presence of bilingual and multilingual speakers. This research aims to investigate the elements that contribute to the survival of the Inge Ndai language in the family realm in Sambori Village. The listening approach was employed in this study. The listening approach employs (1) fundamental tactics in the form of tapping techniques and (2) advanced techniques, namely: listening to free involvement and conversation (SBLC), recording, and taking notes. The equivalent procedure is used during the data analysis stage. The matching procedure is carried out in two stages, namely: (1) a fundamental technique in the form of a determining element sorting technique (PUP), and (2) a more advanced technique in the form of an equalizing comparison technique (HBS). In this study, the outcomes of data analysis are presented in a written report. According to the study's findings, the following elements contribute to the survival of the Inge Ndai language in the family realm in Sambori Village: loyalty factors, language pride factors, awareness factors for language norms, age factors, and work factors.

Abstract

The short story material is contained in the competency standards and basic competencies, then contained in the national standardized school exam grids. One of the elements of a short story that affects the quality of the short stories whether it is interesting or not is a figure of speech. A figure of speech is included in one of the indicators that must be mastered by students in the 2013 curriculum. The purpose of this study is to describe the function of the figure of speech used in literacy writing short stories for junior high school students. This research uses a stylistic approach. The data were collected using the heuristic technique and note-taking technique. Data analysis was conducted using the hermeneutic technique. The data in this study are sentences that contain the figure of speech in the short story made by MTs NU Banat Kudus and MTs NU Nurul Huda students, collected by researchers. The source of data in this study is the short stories made by students of MTs NU Banat Kudus and MTs Nurul Huda Kudus. Based on the results of the study, the function of figure of speech used in the literacy writing short stories of junior high school students obtained 4 types of functions. These functions include the function of bringing a description to life, the function of evoking certain impressions and atmosphere, the function of emphasizing narrative and emotions, and the function of portraying a character's feelings. To streamline the presentation, only two data will be presented as examples of each of the functions of the figure of speech in the literacy writing a short story for junior high school students. The variation in the function of the figure of speech found in this study can be a material for further research.
