Abstract

In Balongwono Village, emerging household problems are inextricably linked to the influence of modernization, economic activity, and the rampant, unwise use of social media. Although the Balongwono community is known to be quite religious, ethical household values have not yet been fully internalized in daily life. Given this situation, Islamic studies on household ethics are essential in Balongwono Village. The potential for success of this program is quite high, given the community's high enthusiasm for attending religious studies, supported by the presence of respected religious figures, adequate worship facilities, and a strong tradition of mutual cooperation. Implementation methods include thematic studies with resource persons, interactive discussions, and the use of learning media in the form of easy-to-understand pocket books. Program evaluation is carried out through pretests and posttests. The results showed a significant increase from an average pretest score of 73.11 to 94.44 in the posttest, with all participants classified as capable. This success demonstrates not only the effectiveness of the method but also the community's enthusiasm for participating. This program has made a positive contribution by increasing understanding of Islamic household ethics and is expected to continue through regular village religious study activities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of macroeconomic variables—namely inflation, interest rate (BI Rate), and the rupiah exchange rate—on the LQ45 Index and the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2019–2023. The approach used is quantitative associative with monthly time series data comprising 60 samples, obtained from the official websites of Bank Indonesia, the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), and Yahoo Finance. The analytical method employed is multiple linear regression. The results show that, partially, inflation and the rupiah exchange rate have a significant effect on both the LQ45 and JII indices, while the interest rate does not have a significant effect on either index. Simultaneously, all three independent variables significantly influence both stock indices. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) for the LQ45 index is 0.429 and for the JII is 0.547, indicating that inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates contribute significantly to the fluctuations of these stock indices. These findings offer important implications for investors and capital market participants in considering macroeconomic factors before making investment decisions in either the conventional or sharia stock markets.

Abstract

Reading motivation plays a crucial role in fostering students’ engagement and achievement in reading activities. With the increasing integration of digital technologies in education, various digital literacy media, such as reading applications and interactive e-books, have been introduced to support students’ reading experiences. This study aimed to investigate the effect of using the Let’s Read application and interactive flipbooks as digital literacy media on students’ reading motivation in English reading classes. A quasi-experimental posttest-only design was employed involving 100 tenth-grade students. The participants were divided into three groups: a Let’s Read group (n = 34), an interactive flipbook group (n = 31), and a printed book group (n = 35). Data were collected using a reading motivation questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The findings revealed that the Let’s Read group obtained the highest mean score (M = 58.26, SD = 5.50), followed by the interactive flipbook group (M = 57.97, SD = 5.23) and the printed book group (M = 57.06, SD = 6.15). However, the ANOVA results indicated no statistically significant difference in reading motivation among the three groups, F(2, 97) = 0.427, p = .654. These findings suggest that although digital literacy media offer interactive and engaging reading experiences, they did not significantly outperform printed books in enhancing students’ reading motivation. The study highlights that factors beyond the reading medium itself may play a more important role in shaping students’ motivation to read.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of ownership structure and capital structure on firm value with dividend policy as an intervening variable, focusing on consumer non-cyclical sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. Firm value is a critical indicator for investors in assessing a company’s performance and future prospects in the capital market. Ownership structure and capital structure are assumed to influence managerial decisions in determining dividend policy, which in turn affects market perceptions of firm value. This research employs a quantitative approach using path analysis to examine both the direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The data used are secondary data obtained from annual reports and financial statements of companies in the consumer non-cyclical sector. The findings indicate that both ownership structure and capital structure have a significant impact on firm value, either directly or indirectly through dividend policy. These results provide important implications for company management and investors in formulating strategies related to ownership, funding structure, and dividend distribution policies in order to maximize firm value.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of Dividends per Share (DPS) and profitability on the stock prices of property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period. From a population of 92 companies, 7 were selected as research samples through purposive sampling based on specific eligibility criteria. The research employs a quantitative approach with an associative design to examine the relationship between the variables. Secondary data were obtained from published financial statements, and the analysis was conducted using panel data regression with E-Views 12 software. The results reveal that DPS exerts a significant positive influence on stock prices, indicating that dividend distribution is a key factor in attracting investor interest and enhancing market value in the property and real estate sector. Conversely, profitability, as measured by Return on Assets (ROA), does not significantly affect stock prices, suggesting that investors may place greater emphasis on dividend policies rather than operational profitability when making investment decisions in this industry. These findings contribute to the literature on capital market behavior in emerging economies and offer practical implications for corporate managers in formulating dividend strategies to strengthen investor confidence and market performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employee engagement and job satisfaction on organizational performance in the digital era. Digital transformation has changed the working environment and requires organizations to manage human resources adaptively in order to maintain optimal performance. This research employed a systematic literature review method by examining relevant national and international academic articles published between 2015 and 2025. The literature was collected from various scientific databases, selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and analyzed using narrative and thematic synthesis. The results indicate that employee engagement and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on organizational performance. Employees with higher levels of engagement and job satisfaction tend to demonstrate better productivity, commitment, and adaptability to technological changes. Furthermore, a digital work environment can strengthen the relationship between engagement, job satisfaction, and organizational performance when supported by appropriate systems and organizational culture. This study provides important implications for organizations in developing effective human resource management strategies in the digital era..

Abstract

Purpose – Batik MSMEs face increasing demands to adopt environmentally sustainable practices while maintaining business performance. Although Pesona Batik Jombang has implemented several environmentally friendly production activities, the integration of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) into its human resource practices remain unclear. This study aims to analyze the implementation of GHRM and its role in supporting sustainability at Pesona Batik Jombang MSMEs. Design/methodology/approach – This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through semi structured interviews, observations, and documentation involving two key informants, namely the business owner and one employee. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. Finding/Results – The findings reveal that GHRM implementation at Pesona Batik Jombang remains largely informal and has not been integrated into formal human resource policies. Green Training and Development and Green Employee Relations have been implemented through environmental awareness activities and employee involvement in environmentally friendly practices. However, Green Recruitment, Green Performance Management, and Green Compensation have not been formally implemented due to the absence of environmental criteria and performance-based reward systems. Originality/Value – These practices contribute to sustainability through environmentally responsible production processes and employee participation in environmental management. The study highlights the need for more structured GHRM policies to strengthen sustainability in batik MSMEs.

Abstract

Introduction: This research was intended to examine how Economic Value Added (EVA) and Market Value Added (MVA) influence stock returns, with company value serving as a mediating variable. This research centers on companies within the property sector that are registered on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2024. The property sector was chosen because it has high investment potential, but its performance often fluctuates due to macroeconomic uncertainty and investor perception of the company's value. Methods: A quantitative approach was chosen in this research. There are 92 companies in the population, with the final sample of 10 companies processed from purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis in this research was carried out using classic assumption tests, partial tests, and coefficient of determination tests. In addition, mediation analysis was performed using the PROCESS macro developed by Hayes with the assistance of SPSS 26.Results: The results demonstrate that both EVA and MVA influence the company's value. Market added value, economic added value, and company value do not impact stock returns. After a mediation test using PROCESS macro Hayes, the company's value was unable to mediate between the impact of EVA and MVA on stock returns. Conclusion and Suggestion: This research concludes that both EVA and MVA can be determinants of investor confidence. This emphasizes the importance of companies optimizing their financial performance to increase company value and stock returns. It is advised for future researchers to increase the research object, sample, and observation period to obtain more comprehensive results. It is also recommended to add other variables such as financial value added, good corporate governance, dividend policy, and macroeconomics. Keywords: Economic Value Added, Market Value Added, Company Value, Stock Returns
